4An Adaptive Transmission Scheme for Deep Space Communication显示文摘Deep space communication is quite different from conventional ground communication due to its time-varying,complexity and large signal delay,which consequently affects communication quality and system efficiency.Adjusting the transmission parameters when the channel environment changes during the communication can guarantee the performance index of the system,and therefore improve communication efficiency. An adaptive transmission scheme of transceiver based on Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems(CCSDS)protocols is proposed in this paper. According to the variation of the deep space channel,the symbol rate of transmission data is adjusted dynamically by estimating the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the receiver in real time and adjusting the channel environment. This scheme can improve the channel utilization and system throughput under the premise of limiting the system bit error rate. 5火星着陆任务若干关键问题研究显示文摘The environmental conditions of Mars landing missions are much different from that of Earth reentry missions, including the distance between the spacecraft and the Earth, the atmosphere, landform, aerodynamic forces, thermal effects. Therefore there are more autonomy requirements, more flight phases, more uncertainties in modeling and analysis, and more difficulties in validation of the flight sequence. Firstly the challenges of Mars landing missions are summarized in this paper. Then the key issues for Mars landing missions are analyzed according to the phases of the landing process. 6Can urban forests provide acoustic refuges for birds?Investigating the influence of vegetation structure and anthropogenic noise on bird sound diversity显示文摘As a crucial component of terrestrial ecosystems,urban forests play a pivotal role in protecting urban biodiversity by providing suitable habitats for acoustic spaces.Previous studies note that vegetation structure is a key factor influencing bird sounds in urban forests;hence,adjusting the frequency composition may be a strategy for birds to avoid anthropogenic noise to mask their songs.However,it is unknown whether the response mechanisms of bird vocalizations to vegetation structure remain consistent despite being impacted by anthropogenic noise.It was hypothesized that anthropogenic noise in urban forests occupies the low-frequency space of bird songs,leading to a possible reshaping of the acoustic niches of forests,and the vegetation structure of urban forests is the critical factor that shapes the acoustic space for bird vocalization.Passive acoustic monitoring in various urban forests was used to monitor natural and anthropogenic noises,and sounds were classified into three acoustic scenes(bird sounds,human sounds,and bird-human sounds)to determine interconnections between bird sounds,anthropogenic noise,and vegetation structure.Anthropogenic noise altered the acoustic niche of urban forests by intruding into the low-frequency space used by birds,and vegetation structures related to volume(trunk volume and branch volume)and density(number of branches and leaf area index)significantly impact the diversity of bird sounds.Our findings indicate that the response to low and high frequency signals to vegetation structure is distinct.By clarifying this relationship,our results contribute to understanding of how vegetation structure influences bird sounds in urban forests impacted by anthropogenic noise.Zezhou Hao Chengyun Zhang Le Li Bing Sun Shuixing Luo Juyang Liao Qingfei Wang Ruichen Wu Xinhui Xu Christopher A.Lepczyk Nancai Pei 2024Journal of Forestry Research2024,35,2:0

8Imaging Fast Cellular Uptake of Polymer Dots via Receptor‑Mediated Endocytosis显示文摘During the past decade,semiconducting polymer dots(Pdots)have been prevailing in the family of fluorescent probes due to its high photon budget,excellent photo stability,and good biocompatibility.In this study,holo-Transferrin human(Tf)was utilized to covalently couple with Pdots for a highly efficient endocytosis process through transferrin receptors(TfRs)mediated internalization.As a result,the endocytosis efficiency of Tf-conjugated Pdots in HeLa cells dramatically increased as compared to that of unconjugated Pdots in the same condition.This acute increment demonstrates that holo-Transferrin molecules are of great capability for intracellular delivery of Pdots to TfRs overexpressed cells.The transportation route of Tf-conjugated Pdots is quite different from the uptake mechanism of unconjugated Pdots via nonspecific endocytic trafficking pathway.Considering the overexpression of TfRs in various cancer cells,Tf-conjugated Pdots hold potential to function as a nanocarrier for efficient drug delivery in cancer diagnostics and therapy.Zezhou Sun Ye Yuan Qiong Li Zhihe Liu Changfeng Wu 2018Journal of Analysis and Testing2018,2,1:0
9Preliminary Study of the Characteristics of Several Glossy Cabbage(Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) Mutants显示文摘To determine the characteristics and potential practical applications of glossy cabbage(Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) mutants, five different glossy mutants were studied. The amount of epicuticular wax covering the mutant leaves was only approximately 30% that of the wild-type(WT) leaves. The wax crystals of WT plants were columnar and linear, while they were granular and rod-shaped in the mutants. Additionally, in WT cabbage, the primary wax components were alkanes, alcohols, fatty acids, ketones, and aldehydes. There was a significant decrease in the abundance of alkanes and ketones in the wax of the mutants. The glossy-green trait of the mutants may be the result of an inhibited alkane-forming pathway. Higher rates of chlorophyll leaching and water loss demonstrate that the mutant leaves were more permeable and sensitive to drought stress than the WT leaves. Growth curve results indicated that the growth rate of mutant-1 and mutant-3 was slower than that of the corresponding WT cabbage, resulting in shorter plants. However, the growth rate of mutant-2 was not influenced by the lack of coating wax. An investigation of the agronomic traits and heterosis of the glossy cabbage mutants indicated that all five mutants had glossy-green leaves, which was a favorable characteristic. The F1 plants derived from crosses involving mutant-2 exhibited obvious heterosis, suggesting the observed glossy-green trait is controlled by a dominant gene.
