| 1 | Evaluation of photosynthesis, physiological, and biochemical responses of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L. cv. Pirouz) under water deficit stress and use of vermicompost fertilizer显示文摘One goal in the face of drought stress conditions is to increase growth and yield through the reduction of negative effects of stress. Vermicompost can play an effective role in plant growth and development and in reducing harmful effects of various environmental stresses on plants due to its porous structure, high water storage capacity, having hormone-like substances, plant growth regulators, and high levels of macro and micro nutrients. This study considered the physiological, biochemical, and photosynthetic responses of the chickpea to different combinations of vermicompost and water stress in a greenhouse environment. Two factors were involved, addition of vermicompost to soil at four ratios: control(100 wt%(weight percentage) soil); 10 wt% vermicompost+90% soil; 20 wt% vermicompost+80 wt% soil; 30 wt% vermicompost+70 wt% soil weight percentage, and treatment of water stress at three levels including 75, 50, and 25% of field capacity. The results showed that vermicompost had a significant effect on all traits under stress and non-stress conditions. Application of vermicompost in soil, especially at the levels of 20 and 30 wt% significantly increased all studied traits under non-stress conditions. Under moderate stress conditions, vermicompost at 30 wt% treatment resulted in a significant increase in the photosynthetic pigments, CO_2 assimilation rate, internal leaf CO_2 concentration, transpiration, the maximal quantum yield of photosystem II(PSII) photochemistry(F_v/F_m), concentrations of Ca and K in root and leaf tissues, proline and soluble protein contents in root tissues. Peroxidase(POX) and catalase(CAT) enzyme activities decreased significantly with increasing proportions of vermicompost, but the activity of superoxide dismutase was not significantly different. In conclusion, the above results showed that vermicompost fertilizer had a positive effect on physiological, biochemical, and photosynthetic responses of chickpea under non-stress and moderate stress conditions, but no positive effect was determined under severe water stress. | Saeed Reza Hosseinzadeh Hamzeh Amiri Ahmad Ismaili | 2018 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2018,17,11: | 9 |
| 2 | Normalized residual displacement spectra for post-mains显示文摘Residual displacement,as a significant measure of structural inelasticity,is effectively used in post-earthquake seismic assessment of structures. This demand can be considered for seismic evaluation of structures under multiple earthquakes. This study introduces a simple and novel index to predict the residual displacement of mainshock-damaged structures against subsequent aftershock. The proposed index is defined as a ratio between residual displacement of damaged structures against aftershock and peak inelastic displacement of intact structures under mainshock. In this study, constantstrength spectra based on the index are developed considering the effects of important structural characteristics and also significant seismic parameters. Moreover, analytical equations are presented to predict the proposed index for bi-linear single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF)systems considering both the effects of positive and negative polarities of aftershock.Furthermore,an equation is suggested to estimate the peak inelastic displacement of intact systems under mainshock, which is required to compute the index. | Saeed Amiri Alireza Garakaninezhad Edén Bojórquez | 2021 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2021,20,2: | 1 |
| 3 | Road safety data collection systems in Iran: A comparison based on relevant organizations显示文摘Purpose:Various organizations and institutions are involved in road traffic injury(RTI)and crash registration such as police, forensic medicine organization, hospitals and emergency medical services. But there is a substantial uncertainty in interpreting the data, duplicated data collection and missing data in relation to RTI in most systems. This study aims to identify data sources for RTI surveillance in Iran and to explore traffic safety data source domains, data elements and detailed information by each data source. Methods:This is a qualitative study which was conducted in 2017 in Iran.Data were collected employing semi-structured interviews with informants in road safety organizations in relation to traffic safety including Police,Ministry of Health and Medical Education as well as Forensic Medicine Organization and other authorities-in-charge.For completing the preliminary extraction information, the minimum data set was used and compared in each system. Results:Eight different organizations relevant to road traffic safety were identified. The main domain of data provided by each one consists of Emergency Medical System form,Police KAM114 form,Ministry of Transport and Road Administration,Red Crescent Organization/Disaster Management Information System,Ministry of Health and Medical Education,Forensic Medicine Organization,Insurance Company and Ministry of Justice. Each system has its own database, based upon its scope and mainly at crash and postcrash status and little on pre-crash circumstance. Conclusion:All current registry systems are not surveillance systems for RTI prevention.Huge data have been collected in various registry systems in Iran, but most of the collected variables are duplicated in each system. On the other hand, some variables like alcohol and substance abuse, child seat belt, helmet use in relation to RTI prevention are missed in all systems.Accordingly,it is a critical need to integrate and establish a comprehensive surveillance system, with focus on the goal of each system and collection of minimum data in each organization, which currently is underway. | Homayoun Sadeghi-Bazargani Sakineh Sharifian Davoud Khorasani-Zavareh Raana Zakeri Mehdi Sadigh Mina Golestani Mousa Amiri Reza Masoudifar Farzad Rahmani Nasser Mikaeeli Javad Namvaran Khalil Pour-Ebrahim Mahdi Rezaei Babak Arabzadeh Bahram Samadirad Aliashraf Seyffarshad Fariba Mirza-Mohammadi-Teimorloue Shahin Kazemnezhad Soudabe Marin Saeede Sheikhi Reza Mohammadi | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2020,23,5: | 0 |
