| 1 | Online volume rendering of incrementally accumulated LSCEM images for superficial oral cancer detection显示文摘Laser scanning confocal endomicroscope(LSCEM)has emerged as an imaging modality which provides noninvasive,in vivo imaging of biological tissue on a microscopic scale.Scientific visualizations for LSCEM datasets captured by current imaging systems require these datasets to be fully acquired and brought to a separate rendering machine. To extend the features and capabilities of this modality,we propose a system which is capable of performing realtime visualization of LSCEM datasets.Using field-programmable gate arrays, our system performs three tasks in parallel:(1)automated control of dataset acquisition;(2)imaging-rendering system synchronization;and(3)realtime volume rendering of dynamic datasets.Through fusion of LSCEM imaging and volume rendering processes, acquired datasets can be visualized in realtime to provide an immediate perception of the image quality and biological conditions of the subject, further assisting in realtime cancer diagnosis.Subsequently, the imaging procedure can be improved for more accurate diagnosis and reduce the need for repeating the process due to unsatisfactory datasets. | Wei Ming Chiew Feng Lin Kemao Qian Hock Soon Seah | 2011 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2011,2,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Subregion graph: A path planning acceleration structure for characters with various motion types in very large environments显示文摘Modern computer graphics applications commonly feature very large virtual environments and diverse characters which perform different kinds of motions. To accelerate path planning in such a scenario, we propose the subregion graph data structure. It consists of subregions, which are clusters of locally connected waypoints inside a region, as well as subregion connectivities. We also present a fast algorithm to automatically generate a subregion graph from an enhanced waypoint graph map representation, which also supports various motion types and can be created from large virtual environments. Nevertheless,a subregion graph can be generated from any graphbased map representation. Our experiments show that a subregion graph is very compact relative to the input waypoint graph. By firstly planning a subregion path, and then limiting waypoint-level planning to this subregion path, over 8 times average speedup can be achieved, while average length ratios remain as low as102.5%. | Nicholas Mario Wardhana Henry Johan Hock Soon Seah | 2015 | Computational Visual Media2015,1,2: | 0 |
| 8 | Stroke-Based Surface Reconstruction显示文摘In this paper,we present a surface reconstruction via 2D strokes and a vector field on the strokes based on a two-step method. In the first step, from sparse strokes drawn by artists and a given vector field on the strokes,we propose a nonlinear vector interpolation combining total variation(TV)and H1 regularization with a curl-free constraint for obtaining a dense vector field. In the second step,a height map is obtained by integrating the dense vector field in the first step.Jump discontinuities in surface and discontinuities of surface gradients can be well reconstructed without any surface distortion. We also provide a fast and efficient algorithm for solving the proposed functionals.Since vectors on the strokes are interpreted as a projection of surface gradients onto the plane, different types of strokes are easily devised to generate geometrically crucial structures such as ridge, valley, jump, bump, and dip on the surface. The stroke types help users to create a surface which they intuitively imagine from 2D strokes. We compare our results with conventional methods via many examples. | Jooyoung Hahn Jie Qiu Eiji Sugisaki Lei Jia Xue-Cheng Tai Hock Soon Seah | 2013 | Numerical Mathematics(Theory,Methods and Applications)2013,6,1: | 0 |
| 9 | Shape correspondence for cel animation based on a shape association graph and spectral matching显示文摘We present an effective spectral matching method based on a shape association graph for finding region correspondences between two cel animation keyframes. We formulate the correspondence problem as an adapted quadratic assignment problem, which comprehensively considers both the intrinsic geometric and topology of regions to find the globally optimal correspondence. To simultaneously represent the geometric and topological similarities between regions,we propose a shape association graph(SAG),whose node attributes indicate the geometric distance between regions, and whose edge attributes indicate the topological distance between combined region pairs. We convert topological distance to geometric distance between geometric objects with topological features of the pairs, and introduce Kendall shape space to calculate the intrinsic geometric distance.By utilizing the spectral properties of the affinity matrix induced by the SAG,our approach can efficiently extract globally optimal region correspondences, even if shapes have inconsistent topology and severe deformation. It is also robust to shapes undergoing similarity transformations, and compatible with parallel computing techniques. | Shaolong Liu Xingce Wang Xiangyuan Liu Zhongke Wu Hock Soon Seah | 2023 | Computational Visual Media2023,9,3: | 0 |
