1Spatial patterns of urban land use growth in Beijing显示文摘By using digitized land use maps of Beijing in 1982, 1992 and 1997 and employing GIS spatial analysis techniques, this paper conducts an empirical study on the spatial differentiation and spatial patterns of urban land use growth in Beijing in the period of 1982-1997. It is observed that urban land use growth in Beijing went beyond the control of urban planning, in terms of the extraordinary high growth rate and undesired spatial pattern. The rate of urban expansion after 1982, which was predominated by growth of industrial land, was extraordinary high compared to its historical period. While its growth centers have been actively shifting toward the northern part, rather than toward the southern and eastern parts as designated by the latest General Plan (1991-2010) of Beijing, its spatial pattern of urban land use growth in general was in distinct concentric sprawl, which seriously violated the General Plan of Beijing.LIU Shenghe, Sylvia Prielei, LI Xiubin(1. 2Sedimentary architecture models of deepwater turbidite channel systems in the Niger Delta continental slope,West Africa显示文摘This paper studied an architecture model of turbidite channel systems based on the shallow- layer high resolution 3D seismic information in the deepwater area in the Niger Delta continental slope, West Africa as a prototype model. Different types of channel systems were identified and the corresponding architecture models were established. The controlling factors, evaluation criteria and spatial distribution of different channel systems were analyzed. This study shows that turbidite channel systems of West Africa could be classified into three types; confined, semi-confined and unconfined, according to the condition of canyon and the levees on both sides. On one hand, along the transport direction, channel system evolves from confined to unconfined. Within channel systems, channel complexes, including two types of incised and enveloped, are the most important reservoir bodies. On the other hand, there is a channel complex evolution from incised to enveloped vertically. 3NLRP3-dependent pyroptosis is required for HIV-1 gp120- induced neuropathology显示文摘The human immunodeficiency virus-1(HIV-1)envelope protein gp120 is the major contributor to the pathogenesis of HIVassociated neurocognitive disorder(HAND).Neuroinflammation plays a pivotal role in gp120-induced neuropathology,but how gp120 triggers neuroinflammatory processes and subsequent neuronal death remains unknown.Here,we provide evidence that NLRP3 is required for gp120-induced neuroinflammation and neuropathy.Our results showed that gp120-induced NLRP3-dependent pyroptosis and IL-1βproduction in microglia.Inhibition of microglial NLRP3 inflammasome activation alleviated gp120-mediated neuroinflammatory factor release and neuronal injury.Importantly,we showed that chronic administration of MCC950,a novel selective NLRP3 inhibitor,to gp120 transgenic mice not only attenuated neuroinflammation and neuronal death but also promoted neuronal regeneration and restored the impaired neurocognitive function.In conclusion,our data revealed that the NLRP3 inflammasome is important for gp120-induced neuroinflammation and neuropathology and suggest that NLRP3 is a potential novel target for the treatment of HAND.Xiaolong He Weijun Yang Zhijie Zeng Yi Wei Jie Gao Bao Zhang Li Li Liqun Liu Yu Wan Qing Zeng Zelong Gong Liting Liu Hanyun Zhang Yubin Li Shaojie Yang Tongtong Hu Lixian Wu Eliezer Masliah Shenghe Huang Hong Cao 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3:11
4Field Modeling Method for Identifying Urban Sphere of Influence:A Case Study on Central China显示文摘With rapid development of urbanization and regional interaction and interdependence,regional urban agglomeration planning becomes more and more important in China,in order to promote integrated development of various cities with close interrelationship.However,it is still arguable academically on how to define the boundary or which cities to be included for the urban agglomeration of a region.This paper aims to shed lights on how to identify urban spheres of influence scientifically by introducing field modeling method and by practicing a case study on 168 cities in Central China.In our field modeling method,the influence intensities of cities were measured by a comprehensive index and urban spheres of influence were represented spatially by field intensity.Then,their classification and spatial distribution characteristics of study area in 2007 were identified and explored by using GIS and statistical methods.The result showed that:1) Wuhan is the absolute dominant city in Central China;2) the provincial capital cities dominate their own provinces and there are no other lower grade agglomeration centers;and 3) the basic types of organization form of urban sphere of influence are single-polar type,agglomeration type,close-related group type and loose-related group type.DENG Yu LIU Shenghe WANG Li MA Hanqing WANG Jianghao 2010Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,4:7

20Proteomic analysis of the gene DR1709 mutant in Deinococcus radiodurans显示文摘DR1709 is a predicted Mn2+ transporter in Deinococcus radiodurans(D.radiodurans). The mensuration method to evaluate protein viability with two-dimensional electrophoresis in D.radiodurans and the mutants was established in this study. The results showed that after DR1709 was disrupted, the expressions of DR1120 (acetokinase), DR1691 (heat shock protein), DR1485 (putative lipase), DR2095 (putative c-type cytochrome) and other three hypothetical proteins (DR0124, DR0047 and DR2474) were repressed. However the expression of DR1794 (putative nosX) was induced. Phenomena above suggested that the increased radiation-sensitivity of the mutant cells may be attributed to not only the protection of gene DR1709, but also the proteins' different expressions between the wild type and the mutant might also play important roles in protecting D.radiodurans from irradiation.
