Abnormal immunity and gene mutation in patients with severe hepatitis-B显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the abnormal immunity and gene mutation at precore 1896 site in patients with severe hepatitis-B.METHODS: This study included 23 patients with severe hepatitis-B, 22 patients with acute hepatitis-B and 20 controls.Mutation at precore 1896 site of HBV gene was confirmed with restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis.Cytokines including TNF-α, IFN-y, IL-6, and IL-8 were measured with ELISA, and T subgroups were detected with alkaline phosphatase anti alkaline phosphatase (APAAP) technique.RESULTS: In patients with severe hepatitis-B, the infective rate of HBV mutant strain was 52.5% (12/23), and only one patient with acute hepatitis-B was infected with the mutant strain. The percentage of CD8+ T lymphocyte was obviously lower (0.16±0.02%) and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ was obviously higher (2.35±0.89) in mutant group than in wildtype group (0.28±0.05% and 1.31±0.18%, respectively,P<0.01 or P<0.05). The levels of cytokines in patients with severe hepatitis-B were higher (TNF-α 359.0±17.2 ng/L, IFNγ 234.7±16.5 ng/L, IL-6 347.5±31.3 ng/L, IL-8 181.1±19.6ng/L) than those in acute hepatitis-B (TNF-α 220.6±8.9ng/L, IFN-γ 174.9±12.0 ng/L, IL-6 285.8±16.5 ng/L, IL-8118.4±5.1 ng/L, P<0.01 or 0.05). In patients with severe hepatitis-B, the levels of IFN-γ and IL-6 were higher in mutant group (273.4±26.6 ng/L, 387.7±32.5 ng/L) than in wild-type group (207.8±12.8 ng/L, 300.9±16.3 ng/L). The mortality of patients infected with HBV mutant strain was higher (100%)than that with wild-type (0.9%).CONCLUSION: In severe hepatitis-B, the infective rate of HBV mutant strain was high. The mutant strain induces more severe immune disorders in host, resulting in the activation of lymphocyte and release of cytokines. HBV DNA mutates easily in response to the altered immunity. Ultimately liver damage is more prominent. | Jing-Yan Wang Pei Liu Department of Infectious Diseases, the Second Hospital,China Medical University,Shenyang 110004,Liaoning Province,China | 2003 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2003,9,9: | 39
Effect of bax,bcl-2 and bcl-xL on regulating apoptosis in tissues of normal liver and hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To investigate the expression of bax, bcl-2 and bcl-xL mRNA in the tissues of normal liver and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and analyze the relationship between the expression of bax, bcl-2 and bcl-xL mRNA and clinical parameters of HCC patients.METHODS: The expression of bax, bcl-2 and bcl-xL mRNA of normal liver and HCC was measured by Northern blot. Statistical analyses were made by t test and correlation analysis.RESULTS: A very low mRNA level was indicated at bax,bcl-2 and bcl-xL in the HCC tissues in contrast to the tissues of normal liver by Northern blot analysis. The analyses of mRNA level revealed that HCC tissues exhibited a mean 7.6-fold decrease in bax, 4.2-fold in bcl-2 and 3.5-fold in bcl-xL in comparison with normal control tissues, respectively. Positive correlation was found between bax and bcl-xL (r=0.7061,P<0.01). There was no significance between the mRNA expression of these three genes and age, gender, tumor differentiation and tumor stage of HCC patients. CONCLUSION: The results are consistent with the fact that apoptosis rarely occurs in normal livers but increases in HCC, indicating that bcl-2 and bcl-xL may play a very important role in regulating the apoptosis of normal liver and HCC. | Xiao-Zhong Guo Xiao-Dong Shao Min-Pei Liu Jian-Hua Xu Li-Nan Ren Jia-Jun Zhao Hong-Yu Li Di Wang,Department of Gastroenterology,General Hospital of Shenyang Military Region,Shenyang 110016,Liaoning Province,China | 2002 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2002,8,6: | 34
Medusoid Fossils from the Sinian Xingmincun Formation of Southern Liaoning Province显示文摘Abundant medusoid soft-bodied metazoan fossils have been found in the Sinian Xingmincun Formation(with an isotopic age of 650 Ma) at Qipanmo, Qidingshan and Yangtun of the Dalian-Jinzhou area, southern Liaoning Province; in addition, a number of macroscopic algal fossils have been discovered for the first time in the Getun Formation overlying the Xingmincun Formation. Medusoid fossils include 3 genera and 6 species(all of which are new). Judging from their biological characters, these medusoid fossils are considered to have an intimate affinity with the Ediacara fauna in the terminal Precambrian of Australia, as their characters are close to each other. The authors suggest that these medusoids and the Edicara fauna might be the products of the same period. The discovery of the medusoid fauna in the Xingmincun Formation marks an important event in the evolution of the terminal Precambrian organisms in China, and it is of major practical significance in the study of the Sinian System of China and the correlation of the Sinian strata of northern and southern China. | Hong Zuomin, Huang Zhenfu, Yang Xinde, Lan Jing, Xian Bingcai, Yang Yajun, Regional Geological Survey Party, Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources of Liaoning Province, Jinzhou, Liaoning and Liu Xiaoliang Shenyang Institute of Geology and Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Shenyang, Liaoning Fang Xinzhong | 1989 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1989,63,1: | 20
Geochemistry of high-Mg andesites from the early Cretaceous Yixian Formation, western Liaoning: Implications for lower crustal delamination and Sr/Y variations显示文摘85 volcanic rocks of the Yixian Formation from the Sihetun type section were collected and analyzed for geochemical and isotopic compositions. Major element compositions indicate that the Sihetun volcanic rocks are high magnesium andesites with some basalts occurring at the bottom of section. The Sihetun high magnesium andesites (SiO2 = 52.82―59.31wt%, Al2O3 = 14.15―16.35wt%) show many characteristics of adakites such as depletion in heavy rare-earth elements (HREE; Yb = 1.03―1.88 μg/g) and Y(12―20 μg/g) and high Sr (620―1323 μg/g) and Sr/Y(32―88), with high LaN/YbN ratio (10―25). They share similar major and trace element characteristics to volcanic rocks from the Xinglonggou Formation except their lower Nd isotope ratios (143Nd/144Nd (130Ma) = 0.5118―0.5119, ε Nd (130Ma) = ?11.6―?13.8, 87Sr/86Sr (130 Ma) = 0.7058―0.7064. They were in- terpreted in a way that eclogite that formed at the base of thickened Archean lower crust of the North China craton foundered into the convecting mantle and subsequently melted and interacted with peridotite. However, compared to the Xinglonggou volcanic rocks, the source of the Sihetun magma contained more ancient continental crustal material in order to explain its evolved Nd isotopes. The age of the Sihetun Formation was 120 to 130 Ma, and this indicates that delamination lasted to the early Cretaceous period. The Sr contents and Sr/Y ratios of the Sihetun high-Mg andesites show sig- nificant negative correlations with SiO2 for samples with SiO2 > 56%. These suggest that the Sr and Sr/Y values were reduced due to fractional crystallization of plagioclase. Accordingly, the effect of crystallization on volcanic Sr and Sr/Y ratio has to be taken into account. | WANG Xiaorui1, GAO Shan1,2, LIU Xiaoming1, YUAN Honglin1, HU Zhaochu1, ZHANG Hong1,3 & WANG Xuance4 1. | 6 | Characterization of mitochondrial genome of Chinese wild mulberry silkworm, Bomyx mandarina(Lepidoptera:Bombycidae)显示文摘The complete mitochondrial genome of Chinese Bombyx mandarina(ChBm) was determined. The cir-cular genome is 15682 bp long, and contains a typical gene complement, order, and arrangement iden-tical to that of Bombyx mori(B.mori) and Japanese Bombyx mandarina(JaBm) except for two addi-tional tRNA-like structures:tRNASer(TGA)-like and tRNAIle(TAT)-like.All protein-coding sequences are initi-ated with a typical ATN codon except for the COI gene, which has a 4-bp TTAG putative initiator codon.Eleven of 13 protein-coding genes(PCGs) have a complete termination codon(all TAA), but the re-maining two genes terminate with incomplete codons. All tRNAs have the typical clover-leaf structures of mitochondrial tRNAs, with the exception of tRNASer(TGA)-like, with a four stem-and-loop structure. The length of the A+T-rich region of ChBm is 484 bp, shorter than those of JaBm(747 bp) and B.mori(494―499 bp).Phylogenetic analysis among B.mori, ChBm, JaBm, and Antheraea pernyi(Anpe) showed that B.mori is more closely related to ChBm than JaBm.The earliest divergence time estimate for B.mori-ChBm and B.mori-JaBm is about 1.08±0.18―1.41±0.24 and 1.53±0.20―2.01±0.26 Mya, respec-tively.ChBm and JaBm diverged around 1.11±0.16―1.45±0.21 Mya. | PAN MinHui1, YU QuanYou1, XIA YuLing1, DAI FangYin1, LIU YanQun2, LU Cheng1, ZHANG Ze1 & XIANG ZhongHuai1 1 Key Sericultural Laboratory of Agricultural Ministry, Southwest University, Chongqing 400716, China 2 College of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Shenyang Agricultural University, Shenyang 110161, China | 2008 | Science China(Life Sciences)2008,51,8: | 16
Association between pepsinogen C gene polymorphism and genetic predisposition to gastric cancer显示文摘AIM: To identify a molecular marker for gastric cancer, andto investigate the relationship between the polymorphismof pepsinogen C (PGC) gene and the genetic predispositionto gastric cancer.METHODS: A total of 289 cases were involved in this study.115 cases came from Shenyang area, a low risk area ofgastric cancer, including 42 unrelated controls and 73 patientswith gastric cancer. 174 cases came from Zhuanghe area, ahigh-risk area of gastric cancer, including 113 unrelatedcontrols, and 61 cases from gastric cancer kindred families. The polymorphism of PGC gene was detected by polymerasechain reaction (PCR) and the relation between the geneticpolymorphism of PGC and gastric cancer was examined.RESULTS: Four alleles, 310bp (allele 1), 400bp (allele 2),450bp (allele 3), and 480bp (allele 4) were detected byPCR. The frequency of allele 1 was higher in patients withgastric cancer than that in controls. Genotypes containinghomogenous allele 1 were significantly more frequent inpatients with gastric cancerthan that in controls (0.33, 0.14,x2=3.86, P<0.05). There was no significant differencebetween the control group of Zhuanghe and the group ofgastric cancer kindred. But the frequency of allele 1 washigher in control group of Zhuanghe area than that in controlgroup of Shenyang area and genotypes containinghomogenous allele 1 were significantly more frequent inthe control group of Zhuanghe area than those in controlgroup of Shenyang area (0.33, 0.14, x2=4.32, P<0.05). Inthe group of gastric cancer kindred the frequency of allele 1was significantly higher than that in control group ofShenyang area (0.5164, 0.3571, x2=4.47, P<0.05).Genotypes containing homogenous allele 1 were significantlymore frequent in the group of gastric cancer kindred thanthose in control group of Shenyang area (0.36, 0.14, x2=4.91,P<0.05).CONCLUSION: These results suggest that there is somerelation between pepsinogen C gene polymorphism andgastric cancer, and the person with homogenous allele 1predisposes to gastric cancer than those with othergenotypes. Pepsinogen C gene polymorphism may be usedas a genetic marker for a genetic predisposition to gastriccancer. | 8 | Seasonal patterns and environmental control of ecosystem respiration in subtropical and temperate forests in China显示文摘Continuous measurement of carbon dioxide exchange using the eddy covariance (EC) technique was made at two ChinaFLUX forest sites including the young subtropical Pinus plantation (Qianyanzhou) and old temperate broad-leaved Korean pine mixed forest (Changbai Mountains) as part of the ChinaFLUX network. Seasonal patterns and environmental control of ecosystem respiration in the subtropical and temperate forests were evaluated by the often-used multiplicative model and Q10 model as a function of temperature and soil water content. The resuits suggested that ( i ) temperature was found to be a dominant factor in the ecosystem respiration, and most of the temporal variability of ecosystem respiration was explained by temperature. However, in the drought-stressed ecosystem, soil water content controlled the temporal variability of ecosystem respiration other than temperature effects, and soil water content became a dominat factor when severe drought affected the ecosystem respiration; (ii) the regression models analysis revealed that in the drier soil, ecosystem respiration was more sensitive to soil moisture than was expressed by the often-used multiplicative model. It was possible to accurately estimate the seasonal variation of ecosystem respiration based on the Q10 model; and (iii)annual ecosystem respiration derived from the often-used multiplicative model was 1209 g C m-2and 1303 g C m-2, and was consistently a little higher than the Q10 model estimates of 1197 g C m-2 and 1268 g C m-2 for Qianyanzhou and Changbai Mountains, respectively. | YU Guirui, WEN Xuefa, LI Qingkang, ZHANG Leiming, REN Chuanyou, LIU Yunfen & GUAN Dexin Chinese Ecosystem Research Network Synthesis Research Center, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100101, China Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang 110016, China Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100039, China | 2005 | Science China Earth Sciences2005,48,z1: | 13
Tension and Thickness Control Strategy Analysis of Two Stands Reversible Cold Rolling Mill显示文摘In order to lucubrate the rolling characteristic of the two stands reversible cold rolling mill and establish the tension and thickness control strategy, the steady-state characteristic simulating program was established using the steady-state continuous rolling theory. The influences of each factor on exit thickness under different tension control methods were analyzed. The results show that, the influence of the entry stand gap on exit thickness is significant and it changes little with different tension control methods. As a result, the entry stand gap can be used as the main control method of exit thickness, whereas rolling speed of any stand and roll gap of the exit stand can be used to adjust the inter-stand tension. The results are beneficial for thickness and tension control of the two stands reversible cold rolling mill. | LIU Guang-ming1, DI Hong-shuang2, ZHOU Cun-long1, LI Hong-cui3, LIU Jiang3 (1. | 10 | 316L Austenite Stainless Steels Strengthened by Means of Nano-scale Twins显示文摘By means of dynamic plastic deformation (DPD) followed by thermal annealing, a mixed structure of micro-sized austenite grains embedded with nano-scale twin bundles (of about 20% in volume) has been synthesized in a 316L stainless steel (SS). Such a 316L SS sample exhibits a tensile strength as high as 1001 MPa and an elongation-to-failure of about 23%. The much elevated strength originates from the presence of a considerable number of strengthening nano-twin bundles, while the ductility from the recrystallized grains. The superior strength-ductility combination achieved in the nano-twins-strengthened austenite steel demonstrates a novel approach for optimizing the mechanical properties in engineering materials. | G.Z. | 11 | Electrochemical Corrosion Behavior of Nanocrystalline Materials-a Review显示文摘Nanocrystallization significantly infiuences the electrochemical corrosion behaviors of metals/alloys in liquid system. In active dissolution, nanocrystallization accelerates the corrosion reactions. If the corrosion products are dissoluble, the corrosion rate is increased by nanocrystallization; if the corrosion products are insoluble, the corrosion rate is decreased on the contrary because the corrosion products act as a block layer to delay the dissolution. In passivation, nanocrystallization changes the composition of the passive film, and results into different morphology and growth process of the passive film, both of which improves the formation of compact film and influences the semiconductor property. It influences the passivation depending on fast element diffusion and special adsorbed ability. The small grain size improves the element diffusion, which leads to the different composition of passive film (passive elements enrichment such as Cr, Ti). The small grain size also changes the surface condition, which influences the ions adsorption. All increase the corrosion resistance of materials. In local corrosion, nanocrystallization increases the unstable points on the surface of the materials, which increases the possibility of local corrosion. However, the excellent ability of element diffusion helps heal the local corrosion points, which inhibits the growth of the local corrosion. | Li Liu, Ying Li and Fuhui Wang State Key Laboratory for Corrosion and Protection, Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang 110016, China | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,1: | 12
KAI1 inhibits HGF-induced invasion of pancreatic cancer by sphingosine kinase activity显示文摘BACKGROUND:KAI1/CD82 has been reported to attenuate the process of metastases in a variety of tumors;however, its mechanism of action in invasion has not been fully elucidated. The present study aimed to investigate the importance of KAI1 in invasion and its correlation with activation of sphingosine kinase(SPK)in human pancreatic cancer PANC1 and Miapaca-2 cell lines. METHODS:The expression of KAI1 in PANC1 and Miapaca-2 cells, which was mediated by recombinant adenovirus(Ad-KAI1), was assessed by a flow cytometer and Western blotting. After successful infection was established,in vitro growth curve and invasive ability in Boyden Chamber assay were studied. The presence of KAI1 correlating with c-Met and SPK was detected by co-immunoprecipitation and[γ-32P]ATP incorporation. RESULTS:KAI1 genes had no significant effects on the curve representing cell growth. After infection with the KAI1 gene, decreased invasive ability in the Boyden Chamber assay was observed in PANC1 and Miapaca-2 cells that were induced by hepatocyte growth factor.Over-expression of KAI1 in the cells led to the deactivation of SPK and a decreased level of intracellular sphingosine-1-phosphate.No correlation was observed between c-Met and KAI1 during co-immunoprecipitation. CONCLUSION:The results of this study for the first time demonstrated a regulatory role for KAI1 in SPK activation, which leads to decreased invasive ability in disease progression of human pancreatic cancer. | Xu Liu,Xiao-Zhong Guo,Wei-Wei Zhang,Zhuo-Zhuang Lu,Qun-Wei Zhang, Hai-Feng Duan and Li-Sheng Wang State Key Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Institute of Digestive Diseases,Xijing Hospital of Digestive Disease,Fourth Military Medical University,Xi’an 710032,China Department of Gastroenterology,Shenyang General Hospital of PLA,Shenyang 110016, China Department of Experimental Hematology,Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine,Beijing 100850,China | 2011 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2011,10,2: | 9

Changes of Oxygen Content in Molten TiAl Alloys as a Function of Superheat during Vacuum Induction Melting显示文摘Experimental studies on the melting process of titanium aluminum alloy have been pursued from the viewpoint of contamination.TiAl alloys were prepared with vacuum induction melting (VIM) in calcia crucibles at 1873 K and 1923 K in order to determine the behavior of the oxygen content as a function of temperature, time and frequency of power. The experiment results showed that alloys were uncontaminated except for the increasing of oxygen content which was introduced from the reaction CaO(s)=Ca(in TiAl)+O(in TiAl),and the standard Gibbs energy of the reaction was determined to be △G0 =274000 102.8T(J/mol).Oxygen content increased slowly with the melting time by about 50×10-6 wt pct/min,and decreased with induction melting frequency.Lower superheat and higher melting frequency can be used to reduce oxygen content increasing rate. | Bo Chen,Yingche Ma,Ming Gao and Kui Liu Institute of Metal Research,Chinese Academy of sciences,Shenyang 110016,China | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,10: | 8
Traditional Chinese medicine Kang Xian Fu Fang Ⅰ is effective for prophylaxis and treatment of alcoholic liver disease in rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: Reversal of liver fibrosis is one of the key steps in the prevention and treatment of alcoholic liver disease (ALD), but the mechanism is unknown. This study was to investigate the effects of the Chinese medicine Kang Xian Fu Fang Ⅰ (KXⅠ) on prophylaxis and treatment of ALD in rats and its possible mechanism of action. METHODS: Eighty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: normal control; ALD model; treatment of ALD with KXⅠ; and prophylaxis of ALD by KXⅠ. At the end of 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks, five rats from each group were anesthetized and their livers were removed for pathological studies using hematoxylin-eosin and Masson stain, immunohistochemical studies, and flow cytometry for matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9). Blood samples were taken for hyaluronic acid (HA) assay. RESULTS: Serum HA level and liver collagen content were lower in the groups given KXⅠ for prophylaxis and treatment than in ALD model group (P<0.05). The levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were also decreased in the prophylaxis and treatment groups (P<0.05). Immunohistochemistry showed immunoreactive MMP-2 in endothelial cells of the hepatic artery and portal vein, sinusoidal endothelial cells, and sinusoidal cells. Immunoreactive MMP-9 occurred in the hepatic cells around the veins and sinusoidal cells. CONCLUSIONS: KXⅠ can effectively inhibit or reverse the course of ALD. This may be attributable to its capacity to inhibit the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9. | Xiao-Hui Lv, Li-Ping Zhou, Dong-Ping Liu, Ying Wang, Bing-Yuan Wang, Bao-Yu Fu, Min Song and Chun-Rong Liu Department of Gastroenterology , Department of Laboratory Diagnosis , and Department of Pathology , First Affiliated Hospital, China Medical University, Shenyang 110001, China | 2007 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2007,6,2: | 8
Experimental study of dynamic mechanical properties of reactive powder concrete under high-strain-rate impacts显示文摘The dynamic mechanical properties of reactive powder concrete subjected to compressive impacts with high strain rates ranging from 10 to 1.1×102 s-1 were investigated by means of SHPB (split-Hopkinson-pressure-bar) tests of the cylindrical specimens with five different steel fiber volumetric fractions. The properties of wave stress transmission, failure, strength, and energy consumption of RPC with varied fiber volumes and impact strain rates were analyzed. The influences of impact strain rates and fiber volumes on those properties were characterized as well. The general forms of the dynamic stress-strain relationships of RPC were modeled based on the experimental data. The investigations indicate that for the plain RPC the stress response is greater than the strain response, showing strong brittle performance. The RPC with a certain volume of fibers sustains higher strain rate impact and exhibits better deformability as compared with the plain RPC.With a constant fiber fraction, the peak compressive strength, corresponding peak strain and the residual strain of the fiber-reinforced RPC rise by varying amounts when the impact strain rate increases, with the residual strain demonstrating the greatest increment.Elevating the fiber content makes trivial contribution to improving the residual deformability of RPC when the impact strain rate is constant. The tests also show that the fiber content affects the peak compressive strength and the peak deformability of RPC in a different manner. With a constant impact strain rate and the fiber fraction less than 1.75%,the peak compressive strength rises with an increasing fiber volume. The peak compressive strength tends to decrease as the fiber volume exceeds 1.75%.The corresponding peak strain, however, incessantly rises with the increasing fiber volume. The total energy Edisp that RPC consumed during the period from the beginning of impacts to the time of residual strains elevates with the fiber volume increment as long as the fiber fraction is not larger than 2%.It turns to decrease if the fiber volume exceeds 2%.The added fibers make various contributions to enhancing the capability of RPC to consume energy at different loading stages. If the fiber fraction is not larger than 2%,the added fibers make more contribution to enhancing the energy consumption ability of RPC in the period before the peak strain than in the period after the peak strain. The impact strain rate, however, distinctively affects the total energy that RPC consumed and the energy consumed in the different loading periods. The higher the impact strain rate, the more the energy consumed in the stages and therefore the higher the dynamic impact toughness. The empirical relationships of the peak compressive strength, corresponding peak strain, residual strain, total consumed energy and the energy consumed in the varied periods with the impact strain rate and the fiber fraction are derived.Four generalized forms of the dynamic impact stress-strain responses of RPC are formulated by normalizing stresses and strains as the generalized coordinates and by taking account of the influences of impact strain rates and fiber volumetric fractions. | JU Yang1,2,LIU HongBin1,SHENG GuoHua1,3 & WANG HuiJie1 1 State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining,Beijing Key Laboratory of Fracture and Damage Mechanics of Rocks and Concrete,China University of Mining and Technology,Beijing 100083,China 2 Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering,University of Calgary,2500 University Drive,AB T2N 1N4,Canada 3 School of Resources and Civil Engineering,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110004,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,9: | 8

Comprehensive benefit of flood resources utilization through dynamic successive fuzzy evaluation model: A case study显示文摘Taking the flood resources utilization in Baicheng, Jilin during 2002–2007 as the research background, and based on the entropy weight and multi-level & multi-objective fuzzy optimization theory, this research established a multi-level & semi-constructive index system and dynamic successive evaluation model for comprehensive benefit evaluation of regional flood resources utilization. With the year 2002 as the base year, the analyzing results showed that there existed a close positive correlation between flood utilization volume and its benefits, comprehensive evaluation value and its comparison increment. Within the six successive evaluation years, the comprehensive benefit of 2003 was the best, in which the benefit evaluation increment reached 82.8% whereas the year of 2004 was the worst, in which the increment was only 18.2%. Thus the sustainability and correctness of the evaluation were verified by six years successive evaluation and increment comparison. The analyzing results showed that the economic benefits, ecological benefits and social benefits of flood utilization were remarkable, and that the comprehensive benefit could be improved by increasing flood utilization capacity, which would promote the regional sustainable development as well. The established dynamic successive evaluation provides a stable theoretical basis and technical support for further flood utilization. | FENG Feng1,2, XU ShiGuo1, LIU JianWei1, LIU Dan1,3 & WU Bo4 1 Institute of Water Environment, School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116024, China 2 Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute, Kaifeng 475003, China 3 College of Water Resources, Shenyang Agricultural University, Shenyang 110161, China 4 Office of Flood Control and Draught Relief in Jilin Province, Changchun 130033, China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,2: | 7
