1Effects of Forest Gaps on Some Microclimate Variables in Castanopsis kawakamii Natural Forest显示文摘The objective of this study was to understand the effects of forest gap and variations in different seasons, gap size, locations and diurnal variations on forest microclimate and soil water content. Spatial and temporal distribution features of air temperature (TA ), soil temperature (TS ), relative humidity (h) and soil water content (Ψ) were measured in Castanopsis kawakamii natural forest gaps created by a severe typhoon or fallen dead trees. The results showed that: (1) the variations of TA , h, and TS in four seasons were extremely significant. The variations of Ψ in four seasons were extremely significant except for those between spring and summer. (2) The diurnal variations of TA and T S were expressed with a single peak curve. The diurnal variations of h and Ψ presented a high-low-high trend. (3) The variations of TA , h, and TS were extremely significant among the large, medium and small gaps in C. kawakamii natural forest. Medium gaps had the highest TA and the lowest h while small gaps were just contrary to medium gaps. The variations of Ψ were extremely significant for large, medium and small gaps except those between the medium and large gaps. (4) The TA , h, TS and Ψ were decreased from the gap center, canopy gap, expanded gap to understory. 2^(15)N isotope fractionation in an aquatic food chain:Bellamya aeruginosa(Reeve) as an algal control agent显示文摘15N isotope tracer techniques and ecological modeling were adopted to investigate the fractionation of nitrogen,its uptake and transformation in algae and snail(Bellamya aeruginosa Reeve).Different algal species were found to differ in their uptake of nitrogen isotopes.Microcystis aeruginisa Ktz.demonstrated the greatest 15N accumulation capacity,with the natural variation in isotopic ratio(δ 15N) and the isotope fractionation factor(ε,‰) being the highest among the species investigated.The transformation and utilization of 15N by snails differed depending on the specific algae consumed(highest for Chlorella pyrenoidosa Chick.,lowest for M.aeruginisa).When snails was seeded in the experimental pond,the algae population structure changed significantly,and total algal biomass as well as the concentration of all nitrogen species decreased,causing an increase in water transparency.A model,incorporating several chemical and biological parameters,was developed to predict algal biomass in an aquatic system when snails was present.The data collected during this investigation indicated that the gastropods such as snails could significantly impact biological community and water quality of small water bodies,suggesting a role for biological control of noxious algal blooms associated with eutrophication.Shiqun Han Shaohua Yan Kaining Chen Zhenhua Zhang Rengel Zed Jianqiu Zhang Wei Song Haiqin Liu 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2:14
3Analysis on gust factor of tropical cyclone strong wind over different underlying surfaces显示文摘Based on one year gradient wind data and the wind data of a strong typhoon observed by three meteorological towers located on the coast and at the inshore sea,the underlying surfaces of the meteorological towers were classified and the roughness lengths were calculated quantitatively.On the basis of strong wind characteristic representative assessment and sample selection on the wind data of strong typhoon Hagupit,the gust factor variation characteristics of tropical cyclones under different underlying surfaces were analyzed.The observed fact and variation rule were found as follows:1) The roughness lengths under neutral atmospheric condition which were calculated using logarithmic wind profile fitting based on the observation data can describe the slight change of the underlying surface objectively.2) The gust factor of strong typhoon wind didn't have variation trends with wind speed.But the variation amplitude of the gust factor was rather large over rough underlying surface which had pronounced effect on the numerical design of structural engineering.3) The variation of the gust factor with height satisfied power law or logarithmic law.The power law fitting was more suitable for smooth underlying surface while the logarithmic fitting was better over rough underlying surface.4) The observation data also suggested that the relationship between gust factor and roughness length can be described by power or linear equation.5) The gust factor observed in this typhoon case was different from the gust factor recommended by WMO:The gust factor of the offshore wind came from rough underlying surface was higher than the value recommended by WMO while the gust factor of the onshore wind came from smooth underlying surface is less than the WMO recommended value.CHEN WenChao SONG LiLi ZHI ShiQun HUANG HaoHui QIN Peng 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,10:7
4A new type of ERGIC–ERES membrane contact mediated by TMED9 and SEC12 is required for autophagosome biogenesis显示文摘Under stress,the endomembrane system undergoes reorganization to support autophagosome biogenesis,which is a central step in autophagy.How the endomembrane system remodels has been poorly understood.Here we identify a new type of membrane contact formed between the ER-Golgi intermediate compartment(ERGIC)and the ER-exit site(ERES)in the ER-Golgi system,which is essential for promoting autophagosome biogenesis induced by different stress stimuli.The ERGIC-ERES contact is established by the interaction between TMED9 and SEC12 which generates a short distance opposition(as close as 2-5 nm)between the two compartments.The tight membrane contact allows the ERES-located SEC12 to transactivate COPII assembly on the ERGIC.In addition,a portion of SEC12 also relocates to the ERGIC.Through both mechanisms,the ERGIC-ERES contact promotes formation of the ERGIC-derived COPII vesicle,a membrane precursor of the autophagosome.The ERGIC-ERES contact is physically and functionally different from the TFG-mediated ERGIC-ERES adjunction involved in secretory protein transport,and therefore defines a unique endomembrane structure generated upon stress conditions for autophagic membrane formation.Shulin Li Rui Yan Jialu Xu Shiqun Zhao Xinyu Ma Qiming Sun Min Zhang Ying Li Jun-Jie Gogo Liu Liangyi Chen Sai Li Ke Xu Liang Ge 2022Cell Research2022,32,2:3

Due to its characteristics of superior flocculation effect,without secondary pollution to the environment and being easily degraded,MBF has been emerging as a hotspot of water treatment research in recent years. In this paper,the latest progress of the preparation of MBFs and the flocculating mechanism were presented. The practical application research of MBFs for water treatment was reviewed. 6Biomedical polymers: synthesis, properties, and applications显示文摘Biomedical polymers have been extensively developed for promising applications in a lot of biomedical fields, such as therapeutic medicine delivery, disease detection and diagnosis, biosensing, regenerative medicine, and disease treatment. In this review, we summarize the most recent advances in the synthesis and application of biomedical polymers, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their property-function relationship for corresponding biomedical applications. In particular, a few burgeoning bioactive polymers, such as peptide/biomembrane/microorganism/cell-based biomedical polymers, are also introduced and highlighted as the emerging biomaterials for cancer precision therapy. Furthermore, the foreseeable challenges and outlook of the development of more efficient, healthier and safer biomedical polymers are discussed. 7Trust Based Pervasive Computing显示文摘Pervasive computing environment is a distributed and mobile space. Trust relationship must be established and ensured between devices and the systems in the pervasive computing environment. The trusted computing (TC) technology introduced by trusted computing group is a distributed-system-wide approach to the provisions of integrity protection of resources. The TC’s notion of trust and security can be described as conformed system behaviors of a platform environment such that the conformation can be attested to a remote challenger. In this paper the trust requirements in a pervasive/ubiquitous environment are analyzed.
