Novel research on main-lobe jamming polarization suppression technology显示文摘A novel main-lobe blanketing interference suppression method which named as spatial virtual multiple channel concurrent polarization filter technology is proposed. It processes sample data using the slow varied polarization property of a scanning antenna. The orthogonal polarized signal and polarization states of the receiving signal can be obtained. The optimal polarization is then calculated for use in polarization filtering to achieve the objective of suppressing noise jamming. The effect of elevation measurement error on interference suppression performance is eliminated by concurrent processing.Theoretical and simulation results show that, this technology enabled self-polarization information processing for single polarized radar which improved its working performance. | DAI HuanYao WANG XueSong LIU Yong LI YongZhen XIAO ShunPing | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,2: | 16
Spatial polarization characteristics and scattering matrix measurement of orthogonal polarization binary array radar显示文摘Polarimetry is an important trend in the development of modern radar. The technique for measuring polarization scattering property of the target is the key for polarization radar realization, but it faces challenges in engineering. Here,a new theoretical model for target scattering characteristic measurement radar, named orthogonal polarization binary array radar(OPBAR),is proposed. The spatial polarization characteristics of the radar antennas are addressed.A new polarimetric algorithm that needs only one channel is designed. The polarization scattering matrix measurement can be implemented by processing received signal in a short time interval while antenna's beam mechanically scans the target.Through compactness field microwave dark room experiment, measurments of dynamic broadband polarimetry on OPBAR have been conducted and the validity of research work has been demonstrated. The result is helpful to exploiting the capability of current radar systems and enhancing their information acquiring and processing capacity. | DAI HuanYao ,WANG XueSong,LI YongZhen,LUO Jia & XIAO ShunPing College of Electronic Science and Engineering,National University of Defense Technology,Changsha 410073,China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,12: | 8
The signal selection and processing method for polarization measurement radar显示文摘Based on the ambiguity function, a novel signal processing method for the polarization measurement radar is developed. One advantage of this method is that the two orthogonal polarized signals do not have to be perpendicular to each other, which is required by traditional methods. The error due to the correlation of the two transmitting signals in the traditional method, can be reduced by this new approach. A concept called ambiguity function matrix (AFM) is introduced based on this method. AFM is a promising tool for the signal selection and design in the polarization scattering matrix measurement. The waveforms of the polarimetric radar are categorized and analyzed based on AFM in this paper. The signal processing flow of this method is explained. And the polarization scattering matrix measurement performance is testified by simulation. Furthermore, this signal processing method can be used in the inter-pulse interval measurement technique as well as in the instantaneous measurement technique. | CHANG YuLiang WANG XueSong LI YongZhen XIAO ShunPing | 2009 | Science in China(Series F)2009,52,10: | 8
Bistatic scattering centres of cone-shaped targets and target length estimation显示文摘The bistatic scattering centres are commonly modeled as the fixed scattering centres for imaging;however, the location of the bistatic scattering centre changes with the bistatic geometry in some real scenes. This paper focuses on the bistatic scattering centres of cone-shaped targets and considers how to utilize the length of the bistatic high-resolution range profile(HRRP) for target identification.Firstly, the locations of the bistatic scattering centres on the edge of a cone-shaped target are deduced with the method of equivalent currents, which are the intersection points of the edge and the plane constructed by the symmetry axis and the bisector of the bistatic angle. Then, based on the above conclusion, the wideband echo model and bistatic HRRP of a cone-shaped target is deduced. Then, the relation between the length of the bistatic HRRP and target length is deduced, which is useful for target identification. Finally, the bistatic HRRPs of cone-shaped targets are calculated via the Feko software and the calculated results validate the theoretical analysis. This research provides an exact mathematics model for the echo simulation, imaging, feature extraction and identification of cone-shaped targets in the bistatic radar. | AI XiaoFeng ZOU XiaoHai LI YongZhen YANG JianHua XIAO ShunPing | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,12: | 8
Tuning Superhydrophobic Materials with Negative Surface Energy Domains显示文摘Hydrophobic/superhydrophobic materials with intrinsic water repellence are highly desirable in engineering fields including antiicing in aerocrafts, antidrag and anticorrosion in ships, and antifog and self-cleaning in optical lenses, screen, mirrors, and windows. However, superhydrophobic material should have small surface energy(SE)and a micro/nanosurface structure which can reduce solid-liquid contact significantly. The low SE is generally found in organic materials with inferior mechanical properties that is undesirable in engineering.Intriguingly, previous theoretical calculations have predicted a negative SE forθ-alumina(θ-Al_(2)O_(3)),which inspires us to use it as a superhydrophobic material. Here,we report the experimental evidence of the small/negative SE ofθ-Al_(2)O_(3) and aθ-Al_(2)O_(3)-based superhydrophobic coating prepared by one-step scalable plasma arcing oxidation. The superhydrophobic coating has complete ceramic and desired micro/nanostructure and therefore exhibits excellent aging resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance,high-temperature tolerance, and burning resistance.Owing to the rarity of the small/negative SE in inorganic materials, the concept to reduce SE byθ-Al_(2)O_(3) may foster a blowout to develop robust superhydrophobicity by complete inorganic materials. | Zhongzhen Wu Liangliang Liu Shunning Li Shunping Ji Pinghu Chen Suihan Cui Zhengyong Ma Yuchang Weng Qian Huang Zhongcan Wu Hao Wu Yuan Lin Ricky KYFu Hai Lin Xiubo Tian Paul KChu Feng Pan | 2019 | Research2019,,1: | 6
Inferring the Tree of Life of the order Cypriniformes, the earth's most diverse clade of freshwater fishes: Implications of varied taxon and character sampling显示文摘The phylogenetic relationships of species are fundamental to any biological investigation, including all evolutionary studies. Accurate inferences of sister group relationships provide the researcher with an historical framework within which the attributes or geographic origin of species (or supraspecific groups) evolved. Taken out of this phylogenetic context, interpretations of evolutionary processes or origins, geographic distributions, or speciation rates and mechanisms, are subject to nothing less than a biological experiment without controls. Cypriniformes is the most diverse clade of freshwater fishes with estimates of diversity of nearly 3,500 species. These fishes display an amazing array of morphological, ecological, behavioral, and geographic diversity and offer a tremendous opportunity to enhance our understanding of the biotic and abiotic factors associated with diversification and adaptation to environments. Given the nearly global distribution of these fishes, they serve as an important model group for a plethora of biological investigations, including indicator species for future cli-matic changes. The occurrence of the zebrafish, Danio rerio, in this order makes this clade a critical component in understanding and predicting the relationship between mutagenesis and phenotypic expressions in vertebrates, including humans. With the tremendous diversity in Cypriniformes, our understanding of their phylogenetic relationships has not proceeded at an acceptable rate, despite a plethora of morphological and more recent mo-lecular studies. Most studies are pre-Hennigian in origin or include relatively small numbers of taxa. Given that analyses of small numbers of taxa for molecular characters can be compromised by peculiarities of long-branch attraction and nodal-density effect, it is critical that significant progress in our understanding of the relationships of these important fishes occurs with increasing sampling of species to mitigate these potential problems. The recent Cypriniformes Tree of Life initiative is an effort to achieve this goal with morphological and molecular (mitochondrial and nuclear) data. In this early synthesis of our understanding of the phylogenetic relationships of these fishes, all types of data have contributed historically to improving our understanding, but not all analyses are complementary in taxon sampling, thus precluding direct understanding of the impact of taxon sampling on achieving accurate phylogenetic inferences. However, recent molecular studies do provide some insight and in some instances taxon sampling can be implicated as a variable that can influence sister group relationships. Other instances may also exist but without inclusion of more taxa for both mitochondrial and nuclear genes, one cannot distinguish between inferences being dictated by taxon sampling or the origins of the molecular data. | Richard L. | 7 | Probing the limits of plasmonic enhancement using a two-dimensional atomic crystal probe显示文摘Achieving larger electromagnetic enhancement using a nanogap between neighboring metallic nanostructures has been long pursued for boosting light–matter interactions. However, the quantitative probing of this enhancement is hindered by the lack of a reliable experimental method for measuring the local fields within a subnanometer gap. Here,we use layered MoS2 as a two-dimensional atomic crystal probe in nanoparticle-on-mirror nanoantennas to measure the plasmonic enhancement in the gap by quantitative surface-enhanced Raman scattering. Our designs ensure that the probe filled in the gap has a well-defined lattice orientation and thickness, enabling independent extraction of the anisotropic field enhancements. We find that the field enhancement can be safely described by pure classical electromagnetic theory when the gap distance is no<1.24 nm.For a 0.62 nm gap,the probable emergence of quantum mechanical effects renders an average electric field enhancement of 114-fold,38.4%lower than classical predictions. | Wen Chen Shunping Zhang Meng Kang Weikang Liu Zhenwei Ou Yang Li Yexin Zhang Zhiqiang Guan Hongxing Xu | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 4
Modeling of the whole process of shock wave overpressure of freefield air explosion显示文摘The waveform of the explosion shock wave under free-field air explosion is an extremely complex problem. It is generally considered that the waveform consists of overpressure peak, positive pressure zone and negative pressure zone. Most of current practice usually considers only the positive pressure. Many empirical relations are available to predict overpressure peak, the positive pressure action time and pressure decay law. However, there are few models that can predict the whole waveform. The whole process of explosion shock wave overpressure, which was expressed as the product of the three factor functions of peak, attenuation and oscillation, was proposed in the present work.According to the principle of explosion similarity, the scaled parameters were introduced and the empirical formula was absorbed to form a mathematical model of shock wave overpressure.Parametric numerical simulations of free-field air explosions were conducted.By experimental verification of the AUTODYN numerical method and comparing the analytical and simulated curves, the model is proved to be accurate to calculate the shock wave overpressure under free-field air explosion. In addition, through the model the shock wave overpressure at different time and distance can be displayed in three dimensions. The model makes the time needed for theoretical calculation much less than that for numerical simulation. | Zai-qing Xue Shunping Li Chun-liang Xin Li-ping Shi Hong-bin Wu | 2019 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2019,15,5: | 4
Cyprininae phylogeny revealed independent origins of the Tibetan Plateau endemic polyploid cyprinids and their diversifications related to the Neogene uplift of the plateau显示文摘Origin and diversification of the Tibetan polyploid cyprinids(schizothoracins) may help us to explore relationships between diversification of the cyprinids and the Tibetan Plateau uplift. Cyprininae phylogeny was analyzed using mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequences to trace origins of polyploidy and diversifications of schizothoracins. Ancestral states reconstruction for ploidy levels indicated that the Cyprininae was diploid origin and the schizothoracin clades tetraploid origins. There were two diversification rate shifts along with diversification of the cyprinine fishes in response to the Tibetan uplift. The unusual diversification shifts were located to branches subtending the clades of Tibetan polyploid cyprinids. Our analyses suggested that(i) phylogeny of Cyprininae recovered two independent origins of the Tibetan polyploidy schizothoracins;(ii) diversifications of the schizothoracins were closely related to the Neogene uplift of the Tibetan plateau in the following ways: the relatively ancient Late Oligocene-Middle Miocene adaptive radiation may be associated with the uplift of the southern Tibet and Himalaya; the Middle Miocene-Early Pleistocene lineage-specific diversification broadly coincident with major phase of the Neogene Tibetan uplift; and the most recent Pleistocene diversification shift in Schizothorax closely coincident with the successive Kunlun-Huanghe and Gonghe movements of the Tibetan uplift and the glaciation-induced climate oscillations on the plateau. | Xuzhen Wang Xiaoni Gan Junbing Li Yiyu Chen Shunping He | 2016 | Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,11: | 4

Bayesian mixed models and divergence time estimation of Chinese cavefishes (Cyprinidae: Sinocyclocheilus)显示文摘The genus Sinocyclocheilus is distributed in Yun-Gui Plateau and its surrounding region only, within more than 10 cave species showing different degrees of degeneration of eyes and pigmentation with wonderful adaptations. To present, published morphological and molecular phylogenetic hypotheses of Sinocyclocheilus from prior works are very different and the relationships within the genus are still far from clear. We obtained the sequences of cytochrome b (cyt b) and NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 (ND4) of 34 species within Sinocyclocheilus, which represent the most dense taxon sampling to date. We performed Bayesian mixed models analyses with this data set. Under this phylogenetic framework, we estimated the divergence times of recovered clades using different methods under relaxed mo-lecular clock. Our phyloegentic results supported the monophyly of Sinocyclocheilus and showed that this genus could be subdivided into 6 major clades. In addition, an earlier finding demonstrating the polyphyletic of cave species and the most basal position of S. jii was corroborated. Relaxed diver-gence-time estimation suggested that Sinocyclocheilus originated at the late Miocene, about 11 million years ago (Ma), which is older than what have been assumed. | LI ZhiQiang GUO BaoCheng LI JunBing HE ShunPing CHEN YiYu | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,15: | 3
Cyprinid phylogeny based on Bayesian and maximum likelihood analyses of partitioned data:implications for Cyprinidae systematics显示文摘Cyprinidae is the biggest family of freshwater fish, but the phylogenetic relationships among its higher-level taxa are not yet fully resolved. In this study, we used the nuclear recombination activating gene 2 and the mitochondrial 16S ribosomal RNA and cytochrome b genes to reconstruct cyprinid phylogeny. Our aims were to (i) demonstrate the effects of partitioned phylogenetic analyses on phylogeny reconstruction of cyprinid fishes; (ii) provide new insights into the phylogeny of cyprinids. Our study indicated that unpartitioned strategy was optimal for our analyses; partitioned analyses did not provide better-resolved or-supported estimates of cyprinid phylogeny. Bayesian analyses support the following relationships among the major monophyletic groups within Cyprinidae: (Cyprininae, Labeoninae), ((Acheilognathinae, ((Leuciscinae, Tincinae), Gobioninae)), Xenocyprininae). The placement of Danioninae was poorly resolved. Estimates of divergence dates within the family showed that radiation of the major cyprinid groups occurred during the Late Oligocene through the Late Miocene. Our phylogenetic analyses improved our understanding of the evolutionary history of this important fish family. | WANG XuZhen GAN XiaoNi LI JunBing MAYDEN Richard L. | 13 | Near-field coupling and SERS effects of palladium nanoparticle dimers显示文摘The linear optical properties and the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect of spherical palladium nanoparticle dimers are analyzed theoretically using generalized Mie theory. The calculation results demonstrate that the near-field coupling effect greatly influences the absorption, scattering and extinction spectra of nanoparticle dimers. The surface plasmon resonance wave- length red-shifts dramatically as the separation between nanoparticles decreases. Because of the near-field coupling between nanoparticles and the size effect, the maximum SERS enhancement factor at the 'hot spot' between palladium nanoparticle dimers is as high as 107-108, while the averaged SERS enhancement factor over the entire nanoparticle surface is in the range of 105-106. The deviation between the position of the peak in the extinction spectrum and the wavelength for maximum surface-averaged enhancement for the Pd nanoparticle dimers indicates that localized surface plasmon resonance has different influences on the far and near fields. These theoretical results may help to reveal the relationship between the far and near fields, as well as understand the mechanism of electromagnetic enhancement in the surface-enhanced scattering of transition metals. | RUAN FangXiong ZHANG ShunPing LI ZhiPeng YANG ZhiLin WU DeYin REN Bin XU HongXing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,26: | 2

Cloning and sequence analysis of Sox genes in a tetraploid cyprinid fish,Tor douronensis显示文摘A PCR survey for Sox genes in a young tetraploid fish Tor douronensis (Teleostei:Cyprinidae) was per-formed to access the evolutionary fates of important functional genes after genome duplication caused by polyploidization event. Totally 13 Sox genes were obtained in Tor douronensis, which represent SoxB,SoxC and SoxE groups. Phylogenetic analysis of Sox genes in Tor douronensis provided evidence for fish-specific genome duplication, and suggested that Sox19 might be a teleost specific Sox gene member. Sequence analysis revealed most of the nucleotide substitutions between duplicated copies of Sox genes caused by tetraploidization event or their orthologues in other species are silent substitutions. It would appear that the sequences are under purifying selective pressure, strongly suggesting that they repre-sent functional genes and supporting selection against all null allele at either of two duplicated loci of Sox4a,Sox9a and Sox9b. Surprising variations of the intron length and similarities of two duplicated copies of Sox9a and Sox9b,suggest that Tor douronensis might be an allotetraploidy. | GUO BaoCheng Li JunBing TONG ChaoBo HE ShunPing | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,13: | 1
