Current research on soybean pest management in China显示文摘Pest is one of the important factors affecting soybean yield and quality. Until now, 404 species on soybean have been known based on literature review and a large scale survey. More than 20 key pests occur every year and are causing serious damage. In 3 different ecoregions(Northern ecoregion, Huang-Huai-Hai ecoregion and Central south ecoregion), pests occurrence and damage styles show a variety of regional characteristics. Soybean pests occurrence from north to south were shown as follow: from large pests to small pests, from chewing pests to sucking pests, from low reproductive rate and less generation pests to high reproductive rate and more generation pests. Soybean pest management is mainly based on resistant breeding, combining with monitoring, plant quarantine, cultural, biological, physical, mechanical and chemical controls in China. Although pesticides play an important role in practice, the absence of reasonable use has threatened sustainability of China's soybean production. Soybean integrated pest management is not the only strategy, and it still needs improvement and development, but it's the best alternative for pest control. It can be expected that integrated pest management will remain as the main strategy for soybean pest control in future. Further innovation of green prevention and control technology will also become a focus of future research in view of new pest problems brought about by crop restructuring, agricultural system change and global climate change. Integration of above technologies will reduce the harm of pests and production costs as well as improving soybean production capacity. In this review, research progress of Chinese soybean pest and its management was summarized and some suggestions were provided to adapt for soybean pest management under current situation.Yu Gao Shusen Shi Menglei Xu Juan Cui 2018Oil Crop Science2018,3,4:22
Differential gene expression in proximal and distal nerve segments of rats with sciatic nerve injury during Wallerian degeneration显示文摘Wallerian degeneration is a subject of major interest in neuroscience. A large number of genes are differentially regulated during the distinct stages of Wallerian degeneration: transcription factor activation, immune response, myelin cell differentiation and dedifferentiation. Although gene expression responses in the distal segment of the sciatic nerve after peripheral nerve injury are known, differences in gene expression between the proximal and distal segments remain unclear. In the present study in rats, we used microarrays to analyze changes in gene expression, biological processes and signaling pathways in the proximal and distal segments of sciatic nerves undergoing Wallerian degeneration. More than 6,000 genes were differentially expressed and 20 types of expression tendencies were identified, mainly between proximal and distal segments at 7–14 days after injury. The differentially expressed genes were those involved in cell differentiation, cytokinesis, neuron differentiation, nerve development and axon regeneration. Furthermore, 11 biological processes were represented, related to responses to stimuli, cell apoptosis, inflammatory response, immune response, signal transduction, protein kinase activity, and cell proliferation. Using real-time quantitative PCR, western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry, microarray data were verified for four genes: aquaporin-4, interleukin 1 receptor-like 1, matrix metalloproteinase-12 and periaxin. Our study identifies differential gene expression in the proximal and distal segments of a nerve during Wallerian degeneration, analyzes dynamic biological changes of these genes, and provides a useful platform for the detailed study of nerve injury and repair during Wallerian degeneration.Nan Jiang Huaiqin Li Yi Sun Dexin Yin Qin Zhao Shusen Cui Dengbing Yao 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,12:5
Brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in dorsal root ganglion neurons in response to reanastomosis of the distal stoma after nerve grafting显示文摘Studies have shown that retreatment of the distal stoma after nerve grafting can stimulate nerve regeneration. The present study attempted to verify the effects of reanastomosis of the distal stoma, after nerve grafting, on nerve regeneration by assessing brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in 2-month-old rats. Results showed that brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in L 2-4 dorsal root ganglia began to increase 3 days after autologous nerve grafting post sciatic nerve injury, peaked at 14 days, decreased at 28 days, and reached similar levels to the sham-surgery group at 56 days. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in L 2-4 dorsal root ganglia began to increase 3 days after reanastomosis of the distal stoma, 59 days after autologous nerve grafting post sciatic nerve injury, significantly increased at 63 days, peaked at 70 days, and gradually decreased thereafter, but remained higher compared with the sham-surgery group up to 112 days. The results of this study indicate that reanastomosis of the distal stoma after orthotopic nerve grafting stimulated brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in L 2-4 dorsal root ganglia.Wei Yu Jian Wang Mingzhu Xu Hanjiao Qin Shusen Cui 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,26:2
Valproic acid protects neurons and promotes neuronal regeneration after brachial plexus avulsion显示文摘Valproic acid has been shown to exert neuroprotective effects and promote neurite outgrowth in several peripheral nerve injury models. However, whether valproic acid can exert its beneficial effect on neurons after brachial plexus avulsion injury is currently unknown. In this study, brachial plexus root avulsion models, established in Wistar rats, were administered daily with valproic acid dissolved in drinking water(300 mg/kg) or normal water. On days 1, 2, 3, 7, 14 and 28 after avulsion injury, tissues of the C5–T1spinal cord segments of the avulsion injured side were harvested to investigate the expression of Bcl-2, c-Jun and growth associated protein 43 by real-time PCR and western blot assay. Results showed that valproic acid significantly increased the expression of Bcl-2and growth associated protein 43, and reduced the c-Jun expression after brachial plexus avulsion. Our findings indicate that valproic acid can protect neurons in the spinal cord and enhance neuronal regeneration following brachial plexus root avulsion.Qiang Li Dianxiu Wu Rui Li Xiaojuan Zhu Shusen Cui 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,30:2
Influence of Pre-Compressive Creep on Internal Friction Stress and Creep Parameters of Nickel-Base Single Crystal Superalloys显示文摘By means of pre-compressive creep treatment, the cubic γ′ phase in a nickel base single crystal superalloy is transformed into the P-type rafted structure. And the influence of the pre-compressive creep on the internal friction stress and creep lifetimes of the superalloy are investigated by means of the measurement of the creep curves and microstructure observation. Results show that, compared to the P-type structure alloy, the full heat treated state alloy displays a bigger internal friction stress value of dislocation motion during steady state creep and a longer creep lifetimes. The creep activation energies of the full heat treated and P-type structures alloys are measured to be 462 kJ/mol and 412 kJ/mol, respectively. Thereinto, the P-type rafted γ′ phase in the alloy is transformed into the N-type structure during tensile creep. And the N-type γ′ phase transformed from the P-type structure displays a shorter size in length, this is a main reason of the P-type structure alloy possessing a shorter creep lifetimes due to creep dislocation moving easily over the rafted γ′ phase.Yu Xingfu Tian Sugui Zhao Zhonggang Du Hongqiang Shang Lijuan Cui Shusen 2009稀有金属材料与工程2009,38,A03:2
Effect of photoperiod on development and reproduction of Megacopta cribraria(Hemiptera:Plataspidae)显示文摘Megacopta cribraria (Hemiptera: Plataspidae) continually outbreaks due to suitable photoperiod in recent years. Effect of photoperiod on growth, development and reproduction of M. cribraria were assessed in this study. Results indicated that developmental duration, nutrient accumulation efficiency, and adult fecundity of M. cribraria were significantly different under 6 photoperiodical conditions. Developmental duration of nymph stage gradually tended to be shorter as day time increase. Body weights of 5th instar nymphs for 16 h and 4 h day time photoperiods were 5.2 mg and 4.6 mg, respectively. Moreover, longevity of adults tended to be longer as day time increase. However, for the short day photoperiod (4 L:20 D and 8 L:16 D), population showed no reproductive behaviors. Index of population trend increased with photoperiod extension and adults showed stronger reproductive capacity and longer longevity. This research identified the favorable photoperiodical conditions before outbreak. It may provided reference for ecological adaptability of M. cribraria, and contribute to the scientific basis for forecasting and controlling of M. cribraria.Zhe Xu Juan Cui Rui Bi Wei Xu Shusen Shi Yu Gao 2019Oil Crop Science2019,4,2:1
Multivariate analysis of serum surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy of liver cancer patients显示文摘Early diagnosis of liver cancer plays a significant role in reducing its high mortality. In this preliminary study, the feasibility of using serum surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)to identify liver cancer was studied.Serum samples were obtained from liver cancer patients and healthy controls. The differences between the SERS spectra of pre-operation and postoperation of liver cancer patients were also analyzed. The general shape and trend of SERS spectra of health control and liver cancer patients were similar.Multivariate analysis,e.g.,PLSSVM,might be useful for the discrimination of serum SERS spectra of pre-operation and post-operation.Qiwen Wang Sen Wang Shengdong Cui Deyuan Yang Zheng Huang Shusen Xie 2022Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2022,15,5:0
Double oxide film defects in Ni-based super-alloy castings显示文摘A new class of defects has been recently discovered, which are regarded double oxide film defects. In this study, a number of Ni-based vacuum-cast test bars were investigated. The fractures in the broken test barswere observed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), as well asWavelength Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS) were used to characterize the chemical elements of the fracture'ssurface. Observation by SEM revealed the presence of inclusions identified as films that appeared to have initiatedthe growth of carbides. This study has added to the evidence that oxide film defects do exist in Ni-based super-alloyin certain vacuum casting conditions. It provides a reference for researchers' further study on the defects, andprovides a possible direction for researchers to improve casting technology so as to remove these defects.Huang Aihua Cui Shusen Lou Yanchun 2008China Foundry2008,5,1:0
