1Analysis of severe human adenovirus infection outbreak in Guangdong Province,southern China in 2019显示文摘During 2018–2019,a severe human adenovirus(HAdV)infection outbreak occurred in southern China.Here,we screened 18 respiratory pathogens in 1704 children(≤14 years old)hospitalized with acute respiratory illness in Guangzhou,China,in 2019.In total,151 patients had positive HAdV test results;34.4%(52/151)of them exhibited severe illness.HAdV infection occurred throughout the year,with a peak in summer.The median patient age was 3.0(interquartile range:1.1–5.0)years.Patients with severe HAdV infection exhibited increases in12 clinical indexes(P≤0.019)and decreases in four indexes(P≤0.007),compared with patients exhibiting nonsevere infection.No significant differences were found in age or sex distribution according to HAdV infection severity(P>0.05);however,the distributions of comorbid disease and HAdV co-infection differed according to HAdV infection severity(P<0.05).The main epidemic types were HAdV-3(47.0%,71/151)and HAdV-7(46.4%,70/151).However,the severe illness rate was significantly higher in patients with HAdV-7(51.4%)than in patients with HAdV-3(19.7%)and other types of HAdV(20%)(P<0.001).Sequencing analysis of genomes/capsid genes of 13 HAdV-7 isolates revealed high similarity to previous Chinese isolates.A representative HAdV-7isolate exhibited a similar proliferation curve to the curve described for the epidemic HAdV-3 strain Guangzhou01(accession no.DQ099432)(P>0.05);the HAdV-7 isolate exhibited stronger virulence and infectivity,compared with HAdV-3(P<0.001).Overall,comorbid disease,HAdV co-infection,and high virulence and infectivity of HAdV-7 were critical risk factors for severe HAdV infection;these data can facilitate treatment,control,and prevention of HAdV infection.Wenkuan Liu Shuyan Qiu Li Zhang Hongkai Wu Xingui Tian Xiao Li Duo Xu Jing Dai Shujun Gu Qian Liu Dehui Chen Rong Zhou 2022Virologica Sinica2022,37,3:5
2Interpretation of S-Wave Data from Fanshi-Taipusiqi DSS Profile and Analysis of Correlation between Deep Structural Characteristics and Seismicity显示文摘By processing S-wave data from the Fanshi-Huai’an-Taipusiqi DSS profile,which is a three-component,wide-angle reflection/refraction profile,and in the light of the results from P-wave interpretation,two-dimensional(2-D)structures of the crust and upper mantle are presented,including S-wave velocity Vs and the physical parameter of medium-Poisson’s ratio a.Taking other geological and geophysical information into account,and with reference to the results from petrophysical experiments at home and abroad,we carried out interpretation and inference with respect to deep crustal structure,tectonics,and lithologic characters.It has been concluded that in the upper and middle crust,a values are mostly not greater than 0.25,and rocks,which generally assume brittle,are mainly composed of granite; the rocks in the lower layer of the upper crust between Yangyuan-Huai’an containing inorganic CO2 itself releases carbon; for the rocks in the lower crust and crust-mantle transitional zone,which are comparativelyZhou Xuesong,Song Songyan,Zhang Xiankang,Qiu Shuyan,Gong Yi,and Song JianliResearch Center of Exploration Geophysics,SSB,Zhengzhou 450003,China 1998Earthquake Research in China1998,12,1:1
3Improving Rice Blast Resistance by Mining Broad-Spectrum Resistance Genes at Pik Locus显示文摘Magnaporthe oryzae is known for its genetic diversity and pathogenic variability,leading to rapid breakdown of resistance in rice.Incorporating multiple broad-spectrum blast resistance genes into rice cultivars would extend disease resistance longevity.Effective resistance breeding in rice therefore requires continual enrichment of the reservoir of resistance genes and alleles.We conducted a large-scale screen of rice blast resistance in about 2000 rice accessions.Among them,247 accessions showed at least medium resistance to the natural infection of rice blast and 7 novel Pik alleles were identified from them.Variations in gene sequences were then correlated with the phenotypic trait to enable the identification of favorable alleles.Among the seven novel Pik alleles,the resistant rate of Pik-R0/ME/7017 donors was greater than 80%,and the disease score was less than 3.Through molecular marker-assisted backcross breeding,we successfully transferred the three Pik alleles,Pik-R0/ME/7017,into an elite cultivated line Kongyu 131 to obtain BC_(3)F_(2)lines,which showed enhanced resistance to rice blast compared with the recurrent parent.Assessment of these near-isogenic lines in the greenhouse using 31 isolates of M.oryzae from Heilongjiang Province of China revealed that the resistant levels of the BC_(3)F_(2)lines with Pik-R0/ME/7017 were significantly higher than those of the established cloned resistance genes Pik-m and Pi1.Exploring such alleles will enrich our gene library for resistance to rice blast.ZHOU Ying WAN Tao YUAN Bin LEI Fang CHEN Meijuan WANG Qiong HUANG Ping KOU Shuyan QIU Wenxiu LIU Li 2022Rice science2022,29,2:1
4N-doped MoS_(2) via assembly transfer on an elastomeric substrate for high-photoresponsivity,air-stable and stretchable photodetector显示文摘As a direct-bandgap semiconductor,single-layer MoS_(2) has gained great attention in optoelectronics,especially wearable photodetectors.However,MoS_(2) exhibits poor photoresponsivity on a stretchable substrate due to intrinsic low carrier density and a large number of scattering centers on polymer substrates.Few air-stable yet strong dopants on MoS_(2) has been reported.In addition,the roughness,hydrophobicity and susceptibility to organic solvents of polymer surface are critical roadblocks in the development of stretchable high-performance MoS_(2) photodetectors.Here,we realize a stretchable and stable photodetector with high photoresponsivity by combining n-type dopant((4-(1,3-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)phenyl)dimethylamine,N-DMBI)with MoS_(2) and assembly transfer technique.It is found electron tends to transfer from N-DMBI to MoS_(2) and the effect is maintained after the integrable photodetector transferred directly by elastic substrate styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene(SEBS),even after being exposed to the air for 20 days,which benifits greatly from the encapsulation of SEBS.The increased carrier density greatly promotes carrier injection efficiency and photogenerated electron–hole separation efficiency at the metal–semiconductor interface,thus offering a significantly improved photoresponsivity in MoS_(2) photodetectors.Moreover,such photodetector shows great durability to stretch,which can remain functional after stretched 100 cycles within its stretch limit.Our strategy opens a new avenue to fabricate high-photoresponsivity stretchable electronics or optoelectronics of two-dimensional(2D)materials.Shuyan Qi Weifeng Zhang Xiaoli Wang Yifan Ding Yan Zhang Jiakang Qiu Ting Lei Run Long Nan Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,11:0
5Abnormal liver function in children hospitalized with acute respiratory infection of adenoviruses:a retrospective study显示文摘Human adenoviruses(HAdVs)can cause acute hepatitis in immunocompromised patients.However,it is unclear whether HAdVs are contributors to hepatitis in immunocompetent children.In this study,the liver function test(LFT)results were retrospectively analyzed among children hospitalized(age<14 years)between January 2016 and October 2019 for acute respiratory infection caused by adenoviruses.Alanine transaminase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)levels were elevated in 7.74%and 46.89%of patients,respectively.All patients with>2 folds of the upper limit of ALT or AST levels were infected with HAdV-7 or HAdV-55.Significantly higher levels of ALT,AST,γ-glutamyl transpeptidase(γ-GT),and lower albumin levels were observed in the HAdV-7 infection group than in the HAdV-3 infection group.HAdV-55 infection led to significantly higherγ-GT,total bilirubin,and direct bilirubin levels than the other infection types.The records of four patients with serial monitoring of the LFT results were further analyzed.Multiple indicators remained abnormal during the entire hospitalization in these patients.These results indicate that HAdV infection is often accompanied by abnormal liver function,and HAdV-7 and HAdV-55 might be under-recognized contributors to hepatitis among children.Xingui Tian Xiao Li Shuyan Qiu Rong Zhou Wenkuan Liu 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,5:0
6MULTI-SCALE DECOMPOSITION OF BOUGUER GRAVITY ANOMALY AND SEISMIC ACTIVITY IN NORTH CHINA显示文摘Bouguer gravity anomaly in North China is decomposed with multi scale decomposition technique of wavelet transform. Gravity anomalies produced by anomalous density bodies of various scales are revealed from surface to Moho. Characteristics of anomalies of different orders and corresponding structural features are discussed. The result shows that details of wavelet transform of different orders reflect the distribution features of rock density at different depths and in various scales. In most cases, the two sides of a fault especially a deep and large fault in North China differ greatly in rock density. This difference records the history of the formation and evolution of the crust.
