1Extracellular Signal-Regulated Kinase in Nucleus Accumbens Mediates Propofol Self-Administration in Rats显示文摘Clinical and animal studies have indicated that propofol has potential for abuse,but the specific neurobiological mechanism underlying propofol reward is not fully understood.The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK) signal transduction pathways in the nucleus accumbens(NAc) in propofol self-administration.We tested the expression of p-ERK in the NAc following the maintenance of propofol self-administration in rats.We also assessed the effect of administration of SCH23390,an antagonist of the D1 dopamine receptor,on the expression of p-ERK in the NAc in propofol self-administering rats,and examined the effects of intra-NAc injection of U0126,an MEK inhibitor,on propofol reinforcement in rats.The results showed that the expression of p-ERK in the NAc increased significantly in rats maintained on propofol,and pre-treatment with SCH23390 inhibited the propofol selfadministration and diminished the expression of p-ERK in the NAc.Moreover,intra-NAc injection of U0126(4 μg/side) attenuated the propofol self-administration.The data suggest that ERK signal transduction pathways coupled with D1 dopamine receptors in the NAc may be involved in the maintenance of propofol self-administration and its rewarding effects.Benfu Wang Xiaowei Yang Anna Sun Lanman Xu Sicong Wang Wenxuan Lin Miaojun Lai Huaqiang Zhu Wenhua Zhou Qingquan Lian 2016Neuroscience Bulletin2016,32,6:12
2Spraying printing of liquid metal electronics on various clothes to compose wearable functional device显示文摘Liquid metal printing is emerging as an important tool for making wearable electronics. However, very limited academic efforts were made to fulfill such an increasing need. This paper is dedicated to present relatively complete theoretical and experimental characterizations for liquid metal spraying printing towards developing wearable electronic textile. The practical conditions of liquid metal droplets in the spraying printing process such as the jet velocity, the size distribution of droplets and their evenness degree, the morphology of droplets and their unrolling areas after impacting the substrate are quantified. The dominating factors, including the oxidation of liquid metal and the pressure force on cloth substrate during the impacting process, which ensure liquid metal firmly adhere to the cloth, are clarified. Further, various clothes are comparatively investigated to test their capabilities in printing liquid metal conductors, where the resistance difference can be over thousand-fold. In addition to interpreting the basic mechanisms and performances of the spraying printing, two programmable flexible circuits with specifically designed functions such as blinking LED lighting and wireless infrared temperature measurement via current manufacture technology were also demonstrated and evaluated for their washable ability. 3Surface effects on in-shoe plantar pressure and tibial impact during running显示文摘目的:探讨在不同表面上跑步对足底压力和胫骨加速度的影响。方法:13位男性跑步者被要求分别在水泥地、塑胶跑道、天然草地、跑步机以及配备EVA缓冲衬垫物的跑步机上以12 km/h的速度进行慢跑。用足底压力测试系统和安放在胫骨粗隆的加速度计,记录和分析足底压力与胫骨冲击的特点。结果:第一和第二足底压力峰值(发生时间)、压力时间积分、峰值压力分布在混凝土、塑胶、草地和正常的跑步机的表面间没有明显差异。在5种不同测试表面下,峰值加速度正值也无显著差异。但相比于混凝土表面,在配备EVA缓冲衬垫物的跑步机上跑步能明显减小在冲击阶段的足底压力第一峰值和压力积分(p<0.05)。上述结果可进一步归因为足后跟区域峰值压力下降(P<0.05)。结论:运动表面和下肢冲击之间也许并无必然关系。然而值得注意的是,在解释足底压力的表现及将其运用到陆地表面的跑步运动中时应考虑不同跑步机表面的影响。Weijie Fu Ying Fang David Ming Shuo Liu Lin Wang Sicong Ren Yu Liu 2015Journal of Sport and Health Science2015,4,4:4

5Unloading-induced permeability recovery in rock fractures显示文摘Underground space creation and energy extraction, which induce unloading on rock fractures, commonly occur in various rock engineering projects, and rock engineering projects are subjected to high temperatures with increasing depth. Fluid flow behavior of rock fractures is a critical issue in many subsurface rock engineering projects. Previous studies have extensively considered permeability evolution in rock fractures under loading phase, whereas changes in fracture permeability under unloading phase have not been fully understood. To examine the unloading-induced changes in fracture permeability under different temperatures, we performed water flow-through tests on fractured rock samples subjected to decreasing confining pressures and different temperatures. The experimental results show that the permeability of fracture increases with unloading of confining pressure but decreases with loading-unloading cycles. Temperature may affect fracture permeability when it is higher than a certain threshold. An empirical model of fracture hydraulic aperture including two material parameters of initial normal stiffness and maximum normal closure can well describe the permeability changes in rough rock fracture subjected to loading-unloading cycles and heating. 6Bioinspired Anti-Icing Hydrogel Enabled by Ice-Nucleating Protein显示文摘Ice-nucleating proteins(INPs)are the most effective ice-nucleating agents that play a significant role in preventing freeze injuries in freeze-tolerant organisms.INPs promote ice nucleation in the extracellular space,harvesting water from cells due to the low vapor pressure of ice compared with water,thereby protecting freeze-tolerant organisms from intracellular freezing.The antifreeze mechanism of INPs offers a unique opportunity to inhibit large-scale freezing by localized control of ice formation,with valuable enlightenment in anti-icing material sciences.By learning from nature,we transferred the excellent ice nucleation-facilitating capability of INPs along with an antifreeze concept of spatially controlled ice nucleation to anti-icing material design,fabricating icephobic coatings that consisted of patterned hydrogel-encapsulated INP(PHINP).The ice patterns were templated by patterned PHINPs via the tuning of ice nucleation so that the ice coverage fraction could be controlled by<30%on almost all PHINP-coated surfaces.Combining PHINP with solar-thermal conversion surfaces endowed the composite coatings with high anti-icing performances at any time of the day.Zhanhui Wang Baixue Lin Siyu Sheng Sicong Tan Pengchao Wang Yong Tao Zhang Liu Zhiyuan He Jianjun Wang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:0
7When and How to Adjust Non-Pharmacological Interventions Concurrent with Booster Vaccinations Against COVID-19—Guangdong,China,2022显示文摘Introduction:With the large-scale roll-out of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)booster vaccination effort(a vaccine dose given 6 months after completing primary vaccination)in China,we explore when and how China could lift non-pharmacological interventions(NPIs)against COVID-19 in 2022.Methods:Using a modified susceptible-infectiousrecovered(SIR)mathematical model,we projected the COVID-19 epidemic situation and required medical resources in Guangdong Province,China.Results:If the number of people entering from overseas recovers to 20%of the number in 2019,the epidemic in 2022 could be controlled at a low level by a containment(215 local cases)or suppression strategy(1,397 local cases).A mitigation strategy would lead to 21,722 local cases.A coexistence strategy would lead to a large epidemic with 6,850,083 local cases that would overwhelm Guangdong’s medical system.With 50%or 100%recovery of the 2019 level of travelers from overseas,the epidemic could also be controlled with containment or suppression,but enormous resources,including more hotel rooms for border quarantine,will be required.However,coexistence would lead to an uncontrollable epidemic with 12,922,032 local cases.Discussion:With booster vaccinations,the number of travelers from overseas could increase slightly in 2022,but a suppression strategy would need to be maintained to ensure a controllable epidemic.Guanhao He Fangfang Zeng Jianpeng Xiao Jianguo Zhao Tao Liu Jianxiong Hu Sicong Zhang Ziqiang Lin Huaiping Zhu Dan Liu Min Kang Haojie Zhong Yan Li Limei Sun Yuwei Yang Zhixing Li Zuhua Rong Weilin Zeng Xing Li Zhihua Zhu Xiaofeng Liang Wenjun Ma 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,10:0
8Group-housed pigs and their body parts detection with Cascade Faster R-CNN显示文摘The detection of individual pigs and their parts is a key step to realizing automatic recognition of group-housed pigs’behavior by video monitoring.However,it is still difficult to accurately locate each individual pig and their body parts from video images of groups-housed pigs.To solve this problem,a Cascade Faster R-CNN Pig Detector(C-FRPD)was designed to detect the individual pigs and different parts of their body.Firstly,the features were extracted by 101-layers Residual Networks(ResNet-101)from video images of group-housed pigs,and the features were input into the region proposal networks(RPN)to obtain the region proposals.Then classification and bounding box regression on region proposals were performed to get the location of each pig.Finally,the body parts of the pig were determined by using the Cascade structure to search on the feature map of the pig body area.These operations completed the detection of the whole body of each pig and its different parts of the body,and established the association between the whole and parts of body in the end-to-end detection.In this study,1500 pig pen images were trained and tested.The test results showed that the detection accuracy of C-FRPD reached 98.4%.Compared with the Faster R-CNN without cascade structure,the average detection accuracy was increased by 4.3 percentage points.The average detection time of a single image was 259 ms.The method in this study could accurately detect and correlate the individual pig with its head,back,and tail in the image.This method can provide a technical reference for recognizing the behavior of group-housed pigs.Deqin Xiao Sicong Lin Youfu Liu Qiumei Yang Huilin Wu 2022International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,3:0
