1pRB expression in esophageal mucosa of individuals at high risk for squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus显示文摘AIM: To investigate the pRb expression in a large group of patients with history of chronic exposure to the main risk factors for development of squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus. METHODS: One hundred and seventy asymptomatic individuals at high risk for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (consumption of more than 80 g of ethanol and 10 cigarettes/d for at least 10 years) underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with biopsies of the esophageal mucosa. As a control group, specimens of esophageal mucosa obtained from 20 healthy subjects were also studied. Immunohistochemical assessment of the tissues was performed using a monoclonal antibody anti-pRB protein. RESULTS: Absence of the pRB staining, indicating loss of RB function, was observed in 33 (19.4%) of the individuals at risk for esophageal cancer, but in none of the healthy controls (P < 0.02). Loss of pRb expression increased in a stepwise fashion according to the severity of the histological findings (P < 0.005): normal mucosa (11/97 or 11.3%), chronic esophagitis (17/60 or 28.3%), low-grade dysplasia (3/10 or 30%), high-grade dysplasia 1/2 or 50%) and squamous cell carcinoma (1/1 or 100%). CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that abnormal expression of the pRB protein may be implicated in the process of esophageal carcinogenesis. 3High yield manufacturing of fully screen-printed organic electrochemical transistors显示文摘The potential of the screen printing method for large-scale production of organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs),combining high production yield with low cost,is here demonstrated.Fully screen-printed OECTs of 1 mm^(2) area,based on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)doped with poly(styrensulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS),have been manufactured on flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET)substrates.The goal of this project effort has been to explore and develop the printing processing to enable high yield and stable transistor parameters,targeting miniaturized digital OECT circuits for large-scale integration(LSI).Of the 760 OECTs manufactured in one batch on a PET sheet,only two devices were found malfunctioning,thus achieving an overall manufacturing yield of 99.7%.A drain current ON/OFF ratio at least equal to 400 was applied as the strict exclusion principle for the yield,motivated by proper operation in LSI circuits.This consistent performance of low-footprint OECTs allows for the integration of PEDOT:PSS-based OECTs into complex logic circuits operating at high stability and accuracy.Marzieh Zabihipour Roman Lassnig Jan Strandberg Magnus Berggren Simone Fabiano Isak Engquist Peter Andersson Ersman 2020npj Flexible Electronics2020,4,1:1

5Determination of Zn and Mg in Milk Powder Samples Using Conventional and Alternative Sample Preparations and FAAS显示文摘Conventional procedures for sample preparation, such as calcination and acid digestion, were compared with an alternative procedure: alkaline solubilization and ultrasound-assisted extraction. The procedures were evaluated by the application of the mentioned sample preparation and subsequent determination of Mg and Zn in milk powder samples by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS).
