1The HuangZaoSi Maize Genome Provides Insights into Genomic Variation and Improvement History of Maize显示文摘Maize is a globally important crop that was a classic model plant for genetic studies. Here, we report a 2.2 Gb draft genome sequence of an elite maize line, HuangZaoSi (HZS). Hybrids bred from HZS-improved lines (HILs) are planted in more than 60% of maize fields in China. Proteome clustering of six completed sequeneed maize genomes show that 638 proteins fall into 264 HZS-specific gene families with the majority of contributions from tandem duplication events. Resequencing and comparative analysis of 40 HZSrelated lines reveals the breeding history of HILs. More than 60% of identified selective sweeps were clustered in identity.by.descent conserved regions, and yield-related genes/QTLs were enriched in HZS characteristic selected regions. Furthermore, we dem on strated that HZS-specific family genes were not uniformly distributed in the genome but enriched in improvement/function.related genomic regions. 2Activation of Mitochondrial orf355 Gene Expression by a Nuclear-Encoded DREB Transcription Factor Causes Cytoplasmic Male Sterility in Maize显示文摘Coordination between mitochondria and the nucleus is crucial for fertility determination in plants with cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS).Using yeast one-hybrid screening,we identified a transcription factor,ZmDREB1.7,that is highly expressed in sterile microspores at the large vacuole stage and activates the expression of mitochondria-encoded CMS gene orf355.Δpro,a weak allele of ZmDREB1.7 with the loss of a key unfolded protein response(UPR)motif in the promoter,partially restores male fertility of CMS-S maize.ZmDREB1.7 expression increases rapidly in response to antimycin A treatment,but this response is attenuated in theΔpro allele.Furthermore,we found that expression of orf355 in mitochondria activates mitochondrial retrograde signaling,which in turn induces ZmDREB1.7 expression.Taken together,these findings demonstrate that positive-feedback transcriptional regulation between a nuclear regulator and a mitochondrial CMS gene determines male sterility in maize,providing new insights into nucleus-mitochondria communication in plants.Senlin Xiao Jie Zang Yuanrong Pei Jie Liu Juan Liu Wei Song Zi Shi Aiguo Su Jiuran Zhao Huabang Chen 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,9:10
3Measurement Uncertainty Evaluation of Conicity Error Inspected on CMM显示文摘The cone is widely used in mechanical design for rotation, centering and fixing. Whether the conicity error can be measured and evaluated accurately will directly influence its assembly accuracy and working performance. According to the new generation geometrical product specification(GPS), the error and its measurement uncertainty should be evaluated together. The mathematical model of the minimum zone conicity error is established and an improved immune evolutionary algorithm(IIEA) is proposed to search for the conicity error. In the IIEA, initial antibodies are firstly generated by using quasi-random sequences and two kinds of affinities are calculated. Then, each antibody clone is generated and they are self-adaptively mutated so as to maintain diversity. Similar antibody is suppressed and new random antibody is generated. Because the mathematical model of conicity error is strongly nonlinear and the input quantities are not independent, it is difficult to use Guide to the expression of uncertainty in the measurement(GUM) method to evaluate measurement uncertainty. Adaptive Monte Carlo method(AMCM) is proposed to estimate measurement uncertainty in which the number of Monte Carlo trials is selected adaptively and the quality of the numerical results is directly controlled. The cone parts was machined on lathe CK6140 and measured on Miracle NC 454 Coordinate Measuring Machine(CMM). The experiment results confirm that the proposed method not only can search for the approximate solution of the minimum zone conicity error(MZCE) rapidly and precisely, but also can evaluate measurement uncertainty and give control variables with an expected numerical tolerance. 4Fundamental problems in rehabilitation robots based on neuro-machine interaction显示文摘Study results in the last decades show that amount and quality of physical exercises,then the active participation,and now the cognitive involvement of patient in rehabilitation training are crucial to enhance recovery outcome of motor dysfunction patients after stroke.Rehabilitation robots mainly have been developed along this direction to satisfy requirements of recovery therapy,or focused on one or more of the above three points.Therefore,rehabilitation robot based on neuro-machine interaction has been proposed for the paralyzed limb training of post-stroke patient,which utilizes motor related EEG,UCSDI(Ultrasound Current Source Density Imaging),EMG for the robot control and feeds back the multi-sensory interaction information such as visual,auditory,force,haptic sensation to the patient simultaneously.This neuro-controlled and perceptual rehabilitation robot will bring great benefits to post-stroke patients.In order to develop such a kind of rehabilitation robot,some key technologies,such as non-invasive precise measurement and decoding of neural signals,realistic sensation feedback,coordinated control for both the rehabilitation robot and the patient,need to be solved.In this paper,some fundamental problems in developing and optimizing such a kind of rehabilitation robot based on neuro-machine interaction are proposed and discussed.SONG Aiguo ZENG Hong YANG Renhuan XU Baoguo 2014Instrumentation2014,1,3:8
5Identification of a locus associated with genic male sterility in maize via EMS mutagenesis and bulked-segregant RNA-seq显示文摘Genic male sterility(GMS) is one of the most important resources for exploiting heterosis in crop breeding, so that identifying genomic loci regulating GMS is desirable. However, many regulatory genes controlling GMS have not yet been characterized in maize, owing partly to a lack of genetic materials. We generated a recessive male-sterile maize mutant in the Jing 724 genetic background via ethyl methanesulfonate treatment, and found the male sterility to be due to a single gene mutation. Bulk-segregant RNA sequencing of three replicates indicated that one genomic region located at the end of chromosome 4 was associated with the observed mutant phenotype. Among genes with nonsynonymous mutations,Zm00001 d053895(bHLH51) showed abolished expression in the sterile bulks and was annotated as a bHLH transcription factor orthologous to Arabidopsis AMS, suggesting an association with the male sterility of the mutant. Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR assays further validated the exclusive correlation of male sterility with the single C-to-T mutation in the fifth exon. 6Effects of Structural Parameters on the Poisson’s Ratio and Compressive Modulus of 2D Pentamode Structures Fabricated by Selective Laser Melting显示文摘Metamaterials have been receiving an increasing amount of interest in recent years. As a type of metamaterial, pentamode materials (PMs) approximate the elastic properties of liquids. In this study, a finite-element analysis was conducted to predict the mechanical properties of PM structures by altering the thin wall thicknesses and layer numbers to obtain an outstanding load-bearing capacity. It was found that as the thin wall thickness increased from 0.15 to 0.45 mm, the compressive modulus of the PM structures increased and the Poisson’s ratio decreased. As the layer number increased, the Poisson’s ratio of the PM structures increased rapidly and reaches a stable value ranging from 0.50 to 0.55. Simulation results of the stress distribution in the PM structures confirmed that stress concentrations exist at the junctions of the thin walls and weights. For validation, Ti–6Al–4V specimens were fabricated by selective laser melting (SLM), and the mechanical properties of these specimens (i.e., Poisson’s ratio and elastic modulus) were experimentally studied. Good consistency was achieved between the numerical and experimental results. 8Density-functional-theory predictions of mechanical behaviour and thermal properties as well as experimental hardness of the Ga-bilayer Mo_(2)Ga_(2)C显示文摘Mo_(2)Ga_(2)C is a new MAX phase with a stacking Ga-bilayer as well as possible unusual properties.To understand this unique MAX phase structure and promote possible future applications,the structure,chemical bonding,and mechanical and thermodynamic properties of Mo_(2)Ga_(2)C were investigated by first-principles.Using the“bond stiffness”model,the strongest covalent bonding(1162 GPa)was formed between Mo and C atoms in Mo_(2)Ga_(2)C,while the weakest Ga–Ga(389 GPa)bonding was formed between two Ga-atomic layers,different from other typical MAX phases.The ratio of the bond stiffness of the weakest bond to the strongest bond(0.33)was lower than 1/2,indicating the high damage tolerance and fracture toughness of Mo_(2)Ga_(2)C,which was confirmed by indentation without any cracks.The high-temperature heat capacity and thermal expansion of Mo_(2)Ga_(2)C were calculated in the framework of quasi-harmonic approximation from 0 to 1300 K.Because of the metal-like electronic structure,the electronic excitation contribution became more significant with increasing temperature above 300 K.Xinxin QI Weilong YIN Sen JIN Aiguo ZHOU Xiaodong HE Guangping SONG Yongting ZHENG Yuelei BAI 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,2:2
9A Target Grabbing Strategy for Telerobot Based on Improved Stiffness Display Device显示文摘Most target grabbing problems have been dealt with by computer vision system, however, computer vision method is not always enough when it comes to the precision contact grabbing problems during the teleoperation process, and need to be combined with the stiffness display to provide more effective information to the operator on the remote side. Therefore, in this paper a more portable stiffness display device with a small volume and extended function is developed based on our previous work. A new static load calibration of the improved stiffness display device is performed to detect its accuracy, and the relationship between the stiffness and the position is given. An effective target grabbing strategy is presented to help operator on the remote side to judge and control and the target is classified by multi-class SVM(supporter vector machine). The teleoperation system is established to test and verify the feasibility.
