2Alteration of dominant cyanobacteria in different bloom periods caused by abiotic factors and species interactions显示文摘Freshwater cyanobacterial blooms have drawn public attention because they threaten the safety of water resources and human health worldwide.Heavy cyanobacterial blooms outbreak in Lake Taihu in summer annually and vanish in other months.To find out the factors impacting the cyanobacterial blooms,the present study measured the physicochemical parameters of water and investigated the composition of microbial community using the 16S rRNA gene and internal transcribed spacer amplicon sequencing in the months with or without bloom.The most interesting finding is that two major cyanobacteria,Planktothrix and Microcystis,dramatically alternated during a cyanobacterial bloom in 2016,which is less mentioned in previous studies.When the temperature of the water began increasing in July,Planktothrix appeared first and showed as a superior competitor for M.aeruginosa in NO3^−-rich conditions.Microcystis became the dominant genus when the water temperature increased further in August.Laboratory experiments confirmed the influence of temperature and the total dissolved nitrogen(TDN)form on the growth of Planktothrix and Microcystis in a co-culture system.Besides,species interactions between cyanobacteria and non-cyanobacterial microorganisms,especially the prokaryotes,also played a key role in the alteration of Planktothrix and Microcystis.The present study exhibited the alteration of two dominant cyanobacteria in the different bloom periods caused by the temperature,TDN forms as well as the species interactions.These results helped the better understanding of cyanobacterial blooms and the factors which contribute to them.Zhenyan Zhang Xiaoji Fan WJ.G.M.Peijnenburg Meng Zhang Liwei Sun Yujia Zhai Qi Yu Juan Wu Tao Lu Haifeng Qian 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1:2

4Effect of Rare Earth (Niobium) on Costed and Hot-Rolled Microstructure and Properties of Heavy Rail Steels显示文摘A compared investigation was made on the microstructure and mechanical properties of continuous casting square blanks of BNbRE and U71Mn heavy rail steels having eutectoid composition. The variation of solidified structure of the square blanks was demonstrated by measuring hardness. The observation to the structure and inclusions in the head, waist and base of the hot-rolled rails of the test steels were carried out with optical microscope and SEM. It is found that the casting blanks of both tested steels compose of three areas with constant hardness and three hardness varying areas, and there is considerable P-eutectic structure in the blank of the U71Mn steel. The distribution of the inclusions in the U71Mn steel rail is mainly oxides in both rail head and rail base, and is mainly MnS in the waist of the rail. There has strong effect of the addition of rare earth elements on them. 7Energy Minigaps in the Quantum Well Wires with Periodical Lateral Surface Structures显示文摘Energy minigaps caused by lateral surface structures in quasi-one-dimensional GaAs/ AlAs quantum well wires are calculated with the variational and degenerate-perturbational approaches.By a coordinate transformotion. the structured interfaces of the wires are transformed into planar ones so that the boundary conditions of the electronic wave functions can be satisfied exactly on the interfaces. 8Long-term case-fatality rate of nontuberculous mycobacterial disease in people living with HIV显示文摘Background:Few data are available regarding the long-term case-fatality rate(CFR)among people living with HIV(PLWH)with nontuberculous mycobacteria(NTM)disease.The aim of this study is to analyze the long-term CFR in patients with NTM disease and to identify risk factors for their death.Methods:A retrospective cohort study of 379 cases of microbiologically confirmed NTM disease in PLWH was conducted from January 1,2012,to December 31,2020,in Shanghai,China.We used Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and the log-rank test to compare the long-term CFR in patients with disseminated NTM(DNTM)and localized NTM disease.Univariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis and a stepwise Cox proportional hazards regression model were used to estimate the predictors of long-term CFR.Results:The cohort was followed up for a median of 26 months.The total CFR was 15.7%by one year and increased to 22.6%at 5 years after the diagnosis of NTM disease.The 5-year CFR of PLWH with DNTM was significantly higher than that of PLWH with localized NTM(26.7%vs 19.6%for DNTM and localized NTM disease,respectively).Older age[hazard ratio(HR)=1.04,95%confidence interval(CI):1.02-1.06,P<0.001],comorbidity(HR=2.05,95%CI:1.21-3.49,P<0.01),DNTM(HR=2.08,95%CI:1.17-3.68,P<0.05),and HIV viral load(HR=1.32,95%CI:1.12-1.55,P<0.001)were all independent risk factors for long-term CFR.In the subgroup analysis,time to culture positivity was negatively correlated with CFR in patients with DNTM(HR=0.90,95%CI:0.82-0.98,P<0.05).Conclusions:NTM was associated with a high long-term CFR in PLWH.Further approaches to prevent NTM disease in PLWH are urgently needed.Jingjing Hu Ling Gu Yueming Shao Renfang Zhang Tangkai Qi Jianjun Sun Zhenyan Wang Wei Song Yang Tang Jiangrong Wang Shuibao Xu Junyang Yang Yinzhong Shen Li Liu Jun Chen Hongzhou Lu 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,1:0
9Internal Friction and Profile of Property and Structure of PD_3 and PD_3RE Rail Steels显示文摘The profile of both hardness and microstructure of continuous casting blanks and rails of PD3 heavy rail steel and PD3RE steel containing small amount of rare earth(RE) added from tundish were studied. It is found that the addition of RE makes the fluctuation of the hardness value decrease, and inhibits effectively and/or even removes lower hardness value(zone) in the centric area of the blank with a cross section of 280 mm×380 mm, and that the surface layer in the rail head of PD3RE steel is obviously hardened and the reason causing this hardening is due to the thinning of the pearlite structure. The metallographic observation shows that there exists a Fe-P(C) eutectic structure in the blank center of the PD3 steel containing only 0.016%P, while the addition of RE can fully inhibit this structure. 10Bacterial biogeography in China and its association to land use and soil organic carbon显示文摘●6102 high-quality sequencing results of soil bacterial samples were re-analyzed.●The type of land use was the principal driver of bacterial richness and diversity.●SOC content is positively correlated with key bacteria and total nitrogen content.Soil organic carbon(SOC)is the largest pool of carbon in terrestrial ecosystems and plays a crucial role in regulating atmospheric CO_(2) concentrations.Identifying the essential relationship between soil bacterial communities and SOC concentration is complicated because of many factors,one of which is geography.We systematically re-analyzed 6102 high-quality bacterial samples in China to delineate the bacterial biogeographic distribution of bacterial communities and identify key species associated with SOC concentration at the continental scale.The type of land use was the principal driver of bacterial richness and diversity,and we used machine learning to calculate its influence on microbial composition and their co-occurrence relationship with SOC concentration.Cultivated land was much more complex than forest,grassland,wetland and wasteland,with high SOC concentrations tending to enrich bacteria such as Rubrobacter,Terrimonas and Sphingomona.SOC concentration was positively correlated with the amounts of soil total nitrogen and key bacteria Xanthobacteraceae,Streptomyces and Acidobacteria but was negatively correlated with soil pH,total phosphorus and Micrococcaceae.Our study combined the SOC pool with bacteria and indicated that specific bacteria may be key factors affecting SOC concentration,forcing us to think about microbial communities associated with climate change in a new way.Tao Lu Nuohan Xu Chaotang Lei Qi Zhang Zhenyan Zhang Liwei Sun Feng He Ning-Yi Zhou Josep Peñuelas Yong-Guan Zhu Haifeng Qian 2023Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,4:0
