3Alternate Reality of the Lady of Shalott显示文摘The Lady of Shalott is considered to be one of Alfred Lord Tennyson’s masterpieces. The poem conversely demonstrates art and life, the aesthetic and the political, are fully interwoven:the involvement in the social world which is symbolically the destination of the Lady in the poem. The Lady who is the emblem of such an artwork can be ascribed qualities, for instance,self-containment,objectified otherness, removal from the fluidity of life, and participation in a higher order of existence, for which it is autonomy.Kermode points out that“the Romantic artwork often identifies itself with an emblematic image of autonomy and femininity”,inextricably interlinked. Her mirror shows her only“Shadows of the world”.The Lady’s web flies“Out”and floats“wide”when she“turns round”with“that desire of making an impression upon another mind”,when she seeks to address Lancelot. The mirror reconnects the Lady’s art to the real world beyond her window.Though the artist is unable to see it during the process of production, her artistic web, once out in a wider space than the tower and freed from the loom,is a true representation of outward things, the actions, and events of Camelot. This paper examines that the traditional referentiality of Tennyson’s‘The Lady of Shalott’can be better understood by supplementing the poet’s medieval sources,of little more than tangential relevance to the poem, with Homeric influences. The poem is similar to a fairytale, however,I have given an alternate reality of the Lady of Shallot in my version of a fairytale, where the characters remain the same but the fairytale takes a happy ending rather than a tragic death. My version is different from Tennyson’s since I believe the lady deserves to be jovial.Sir Lancelot was unaware of her fascination and feelings for him,as she could hardly express her feelings due to her imprisonment. She is so taken by him that she stops her work and looks at Camelot, though she risks the mysterious curse. The mirror breaks and her web magically floats out of the window on its own.She realizes that she is cursed.Tanzim Aziz 2023Journal of Literature and Art Studies2023,13,11:0
4Feminism Demystified-history and Beyond显示文摘The study explores Feminism by focusing broadly on its history and further examining using Marxism and critical discourses by other feminists.Feminism refers to the idea that women and men ought to have equal rights. In 1734,the Swedish Civil Code gave women more rights, most notably prohibiting husbands from selling their wives’possessions without their approval. In her 1790 essay“On the equality of the sexes,”American women’s rights campaigner Judith Sargent Murray claimed that women are just as bright as men.British author Mary Wollstonecraft responded to philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau and other 18th-century Enlightenment intellectuals who did not extend their concepts of freedom to women in her 1792 book A Vindication of the Rights of Women. She challenges the idea that women are less logical than males and opposes the injustice.“Who made man the exclusive judge?”she demands. However,Frenchman Charles Fourier coined the term“feminisme”in 1837,marking the beginning of the concept of feminism. The Victorian Social Convention exalted and imposed the domestic roles of wife and mother on most married middle-class women in 19th-century Britain.Career aspirations were restricted because they were not allowed to receive an education on par with that of males. In The Communist Manifesto,German philosophers and revolutionary political theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels contend that a bourgeois man regards his wife as nothing more than an apparatus of production.According to Engles, the family is at the core of the violence and oppression that women experience.Marxist feminists saw capitalism and patriarchy as the two fundamental systems that supported the subjugation of women. The British writer and social theorist Harriet Taylor Mill underlined that a lady who could support the family financially and had a good education would be respected by her husband and treated as a partner. However, men utilize rape as a means of controlling women,as seen by the social inequities that still affect women today. It’s shocking to learn that rape was a taboo topic until 1975 when Susan Brownmiller authored Against Our Will:Men,Women, and Rape. There was a notion that said women’s sexuality encourages rape, hence the guilt was frequently placed on the female victims.Nonetheless, postcolonial feminists such as Chandra Talpade Mohanty contend that regardless of their status as powerful or marginal, wealthy or not, women residing in non-Western nations are presumed to be impoverished, uninformed, uneducated, sexually restricted,tradition-bound,and victims.FGM(female genital cutting)has been a custom for at least 2,500 years, still practiced in thirty countries, mostly in Africa,Indonesia, and the Middle East.It is not connected to chastity and purity, guaranteeing that women remain virgins until marriage and remain faithful afterward. In this essay,Finally,I have looked at how women have faced discrimination in a variety of settings, including the home and the workplace, for millennia due to their gender.Tanzim Aziz 2023Journal of Literature and Art Studies2023,13,11:0
5Utility of short-term telemetry heart rhythm monitoring and CHA2DS2-VASc stratification in patients presenting with suspected cerebrovascular accident显示文摘BACKGROUND Inpatient telemetry heart rhythm monitoring overuse has been linked to higher healthcare costs.AIM To evaluate if CHA2DS2-VASc score could be used to indicate if a patient admitted with possible cerebrovascular accident(CVA)or transient ischemic attack(TIA)requires inpatient telemetry monitoring.METHODS A total of 257 patients presenting with CVA or TIA and placed on telemetry monitoring were analyzed retrospectively. We investigated the utility of telemetry monitoring to diagnose atrial fibrillation/flutter and the CHA2DS2-VASc scoring tool to stratify the risk of having CVA/TIA in these patients.RESULTS In our study population,63(24.5%)of the patients with CVA/TIA and telemetry monitoring were determined to have no ischemic neurologic event.Of the 194(75.5)patients that had a confirmed CVA/TIA,only 6(2.3%)had an arrhythmia detected during their inpatient telemetry monitoring period.Individuals with a confirmed CVA/TIA had a statistically significant higher CHA2DS2-VASc score compared to individuals without an ischemic event(3.59 vs 2.61,P<0.001).CONCLUSION Given the low percentage of inpatient arrhythmias identified, further research should focus on discretionary use of inpatient telemetry on higher risk patients to diagnose the arrhythmias commonly leading to CVA/TIA.A prospective study assessing event rate of CVA/TIA in patients with higher CHA2DS2-VASc score should be performed to validate the CHA2DS2-VASc score as a possible risk stratifying tool for patients at risk for CVA/TIA.Tanzim Bhuiya Sherif Roman Taner Aydin Bhakti Patel Roman Zeltser Amgad N Makaryus 2023World Journal of Cardiology2023,15,2:0
6Towards next generation Internet of Energy system: Framework and trends显示文摘The quickening propensity of growth within the areas of information and communications technology and en-ergy networks has triggered the emergence of a central idea termed as Internet of Energy(IoE).Such a concept relates the internet of things, which is the term used in describing the usage of sophisticated digital control devices with the capability of transmitting data via IT systems. The concept of an interconnected energy network is being formed in the upcoming days through upgrades in the field of intelligent energy systems to control real-time energy optimization and management. The energy industry has had a sustained expansion, reaching the IoE milestone and continuing to this cutting-edge power system, which is the next generation of IoE.A directional pathway from the traditional power system to the IoE has been conducted in this research work by addressing the importance of integrating the smart transmission and communication infrastructure, smart metering, pricing and energy management scheme.A detailed investigation of the IoE with respect to technical angles, such as communication architecture,IoE on the supply&demand side, and IoE protocol based on fundamental elements and essential technologies has been carried out to indicate the blueprint and jurisdiction complexity. The inte-gration,security and energy management challenges may deviate the performance of the IoE technology that has been focused with proper control issues and solutions. Finally,a directional framework to establish the next-generation IoE system has been constructed with future scopes to insure higher resiliency,cyber-security and stability.Muqit Farhan Tanzim N.Reza Faisal R.Badal Md.R.Islam S M Muyeen Z.Tasneem Md.Mehedi Hasan Md.F.Ali Md.H.Ahamed S.H.Abhi Md.Manirul Islam Subrata K.Sarker Sajal K.Das Prangon Das 2023Energy and AI2023,14,4:0
