1The Association of Maternal Body Composition and Dietary Intake with the Risk of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus during the Second Trimester in a Cohort of Chinese Pregnant Women显示文摘Objective To investigate the association of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods A total 154 GDM subjects and 981 controls were enrolled in a prospective cohort study in 11 hospitals from May 20, 2012 to December 31, 2013. Bioelectrical impedance analysis and dietary surveys were used to determine body composition and to evaluate the intake of nutrients in subjects at 21-24 weeks' gestation(WG). Logistic regression analysis was applied to explore the relationships of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of GDM morbidity. Results Age, pre-pregnant body weight(BW), and body mass index(BMI) were associated with increased risk of GDM. Fat mass(FM), fat mass percentage(FMP), extracellular water(ECW), BMI, BW, energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates at 21-24 WG were associated with an increased risk of GDM. In contrast, fat free mass(FFM), muscular mass(MM), and intracellular water(ICW) were associated with a decreased risk of GDM. 2Regulation of demethylation and re-expression of RASSF1A gene in gastric cancer cell lines by combined treatment of 5-Aza-CdR and NaB显示文摘AIM: To investigate the changes of methylation state and expression of RASSF1A gene in human gastric cancer cell lines SGC7901 and BGC823 which were treated in vitro with demethlylating agent 5-Aza-CdR in combination with histone deacetylase inhibitor NaB. METHODS: After SGC7901 and BGC823 cells were treated with 5-Aza-CdR and/or NaB,the methylation state of RASSF1A gene was detected by methylation-specific PCR,and the changes in expression of mRNA and protein level of RASSF1A gene were observed by RT-PCR and Western-blotting before and after drug treatment. RESULTS: Hypermethylation was detected in the promoter region of RASSF1A gene in both SGC7901 and BGC823 cells,and there was no expression of this gene at both mRNA and protein level. After treatment with 5-Aza-CdR,demethylation occurred in the promoter region of RASSF1A gene,which subsequently induced re-expression of this gene. The treatment with NaB alone showed no effect on the methylation state and expression of RASSF1A gene. The combined treatment of 5-Aza-CdR and NaB induced complete demethylation of RASSF1A gene,leading to a significantly higher re-expression of the mRNA and protein of RASSF1A than those treated with 5-Aza-CdR alone (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Hypermethylation in the promoter region is related to inactivation of RASSF1A gene in human gastric cancer cell lines SGC7901 and BGC823,while demethlylating agent 5-Aza-CdR can reverse the methylation state of RASSF1A gene and induce its re-expression. 4Effect of six kinds of scale inhibitors on calcium carbonate precipitation in high salinity wastewater at high temperatures显示文摘Precipitation of calcium carbonate(Ca CO3) scale on heat transfer surfaces is a serious and expensive problem widely occurring in numerous industrial processes. In this study, we compared the scale inhibition effect of six kinds of commercial scale inhibitors and screened out the best one(scale inhibitor SQ-1211) to investigate its scale inhibition performance in highly saline conditions at high temperature through static scale inhibition tests. The influences of scale inhibitor dosage, temperature, heating time and p H on the inhibition efficiency of the optimal scale inhibitor were investigated. The morphologies and crystal structures of the precipitates were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-ray Diffraction analysis. Results showed that the scale inhibition efficiency of the optimal scale inhibitor decreased with the increase of the reaction temperature. When the concentration of Ca2+was 1600 mg/L, the scale inhibition rate could reach 90.7% at 80°C at p H 8. The optimal scale inhibitor could effectively retard scaling at high temperature. 5Relationship between the cytotoxin-associated gene-A status of H pylori strains and cerebral infarction in European Caucasians and Chinese Han: A meta-analysis显示文摘AIM:To study the relationship between the cytotoxin-associated gene-A (CagA) status of H pylori strains and cerebral infarction among European Caucasians and Chinese Han by conducting a meta-analysis. METHODS:Ten case-control studies, with data on a total of 907 cases and 966 controls, were retrieved and considered;disqualified studies were excluded. The included studies were then tested for heterogeneity, and a meta-analysis was performed. RESULTS:The combined data revealed CagA-bearing strains of H pylori which cause chronic infection are associated with an increased risk of cerebral infarction (OR = 2.66, 95% CI:2.17-3.26), but no such relationship was found with CagA-negative strains (OR = 0.74, 95% CI:0.49-1.10) in the overall population. We performed subgroup analyses, dividing the overall population into European Caucasians and Chinese Han subgroups, and analyzed the studies according to their subgroup classification. Through the subgroup analysis, an association between cerebral infarction and CagA-bearing strains was found in both subgroups (OR = 2.60, 95% CI:1.93-3.49 in Chinese Han;OR = 2.71, 95% CI:2.05-3.59 in European Caucasians), but no significant association was found between cerebral infarction and CagA-negative strains (OR = 0.81, 95% CI:0.45-1.48 in Chinese Han;OR = 0.64, 95% CI:0.37-1.09 in European Caucasians).CONCLUSION:These results suggest CagA-bearing strains of H pylori are significantly associated with susceptibility to cerebral infarction in Chinese Han and European Caucasians, but that CagA-negative strains are not a definite predisposing factor in either subgroup. 6Resolving rupture processes of great earthquakes: Reviews and perspective from fast response to joint inversion显示文摘Resolving rupture processes of great earthquakes has fundamental importance to the study of earthquake physics,rupture dynamics, fault zone structure, and evolving processes. It also plays an essential role in earthquake hazard estimation,emergency response and seismic hazard mitigation. This paper reviews the major progress of the earthquake rupture process studies in the last decades, with an emphasize on the research directions of the department geophysics of Peking University including real-time response, back-projection techniques, geodetic data analysis, joint inversion and inversion in complex earth medium. We discussed the advantages and limitations of tradition methods;proposed a systematic and integrated approach from fast-response to detailed study. 7Modelling and mapping soil erosion potential in China显示文摘Soil erosion is an important environmental threat in China.However,quantitative estimates of soil erosion in China have rarely been reported in the literature.In this study,soil loss potential in China was estimated by integrating satellite images,field samples,and ground observations based on the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation(RUSLE).The rainfall erosivity factor was estimated from merged rainfall data using Collocated CoKriging(ColCOK)and downscaled by geographically weighted regression(GWR).The Random Forest(RF)regression approach was used as a tool for understanding and predicting the relationship between the soil erodibility factor and a set of environment factors.Our results show that the average erosion rate in China is 1.44 t ha^(–1) yr^(–1).More than 60%of the territory in China is influenced by soil erosion limitedly,with an average potential erosion rate less than 0.1 t ha^(–1) yr^(–1).Other unused land and other forested woodlands showed the highest erosion risk.Our estimates are comparable to those of runoff plot studies.Our results provide a useful tool for soil loss assessments and ecological environment protections.TENG Hong-fen HU Jie ZHOU Yue ZHOU Lian-qing SHI Zhou 2019Journal of Integrative Agriculture2019,18,2:11

9Association of serum levels of perfluoroalkyl substances with gestational diabetes mellitus and postpartum blood glucose显示文摘This study was conducted to examine the association of perfluoroalkyl substance(PFAS)exposure with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) risk and postpartum fasting blood glucose.We used a 1:2 matched case–control study with 84 GDM subjects and 168 healthy pregnant women from Beijing, China. The maternal blood was collected at 1–2 days before delivery, and eight linear isomers and fourteen branched isomers were determined in maternal serum.Logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the associations after adjusting for potential confounders. The median of the sum of levels of total PFASs was 4.24 ng/m L with a interquartile range(IQR) of 2.82–6.54 ng/m L. Although maternal PFAS exposure was not associated with risk of GDM, significant positive associations were observed between evaluated exposure to specific PFAS congeners and increasing blood glucose. The odds ratio(ORs) of the highest category of postpartum fasting blood glucose for perfluoro-1-metylheptylsulfonat(1 m-PFOS), perfluoro-3/4-metylheptylsulfonat(3 m+4 m-PFOS), perfluoro-5-metylheptylsulfonat(5 m-PFOS), and perfluorohexane sulfonate(PFHx S) were 2.03(95% CI: 1.09–3.77), 1.93(95% CI:1.04–3.58), 2.48(95% CI: 1.33–4.65), and 2.26(95% CI: 1.21–4.21), respectively, suggesting negative effects of maternal exposure to specific PFAS compounds on glucose metabolism.Yuxin Wang Lei Zhang Yue Teng Jiayu Zhang Lin Yang Jingguang Li Jianqiang Lai Yunfeng Zhao Yongning Wu 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,7:8
10Hierarchical activation of compartmentalized pools of AMPK depends on severity of nutrient or energy stress显示文摘AMPK, a master regulator of metabolic homeostasis, is activated by both AMP-dependent and AMP-independent mechanisms. The conditions under which these different mechanisms operate, and their biological implications are unclear. Here, we show that, depending on the degree of elevation of cellular AMP, distinct compartmentalized pools of AMPK are activated, phosphorylating different sets of targets. Low glucose activates AMPK exclusively through the AMP-independent, AXIN-based pathway in lysosomes to phosphorylate targets such as ACC1 and SREBP1c, exerting early anti-anabolic and pro-catabolic roles. Moderate increases in AMP expand this to activate cytosolic AMPK also in an AXIN-dependent manner. In contrast, high concentrations of AMP, arising from severe nutrient stress, activate all pools of AMPK independently of AXIN. Surprisingly, mitochondrion-localized AMPK is activated to phosphorylate ACC2 and mitochondrial fission factor (MFF) only during severe nutrient stress. 11Neural Network Based Terminal Sliding Mode Control for WMRs Affected by an Augmented Ground Friction With Slippage Effect显示文摘Wheeled mobile robots(WMRs) encounter unavoidable slippage especially on the low adhesion terrain such that the robots stability and accuracy are reduced greatly.To overcome this drawback,this article presents a neural network(NN) based terminal sliding mode control(TSMC) for WMRs where an augmented ground friction model is reported by which the uncertain friction can be estimated and compensated according to the required performance.In contrast to the existing friction models,the developed augmented ground friction model corresponds to actual fact because not only the effects associated with the mobile platform velocity but also the slippage related to the wheel slip rate are concerned simultaneously.Besides,the presented control approach can combine the merits of both TSMC and radial basis function(RBF) neural networks techniques,thereby providing numerous excellent performances for the closed-loop system,such as finite time convergence and faster friction estimation property.Simulation results validate the proposed friction model and robustness of controller;these research results will improve the autonomy and intelligence of WMRs,particularly when the mobile platform suffers from the sophisticated unstructured environment.Ming Yue Linjiu Wang Teng Ma 2017IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2017,4,3:8
12Protective effect of Saccharomyces boulardii on intestinal mucosal barrier of dextran sodium sulfate-induced colitis in mice显示文摘Background: The effect and mechanism of Saccharomyces boulardii (Sb) in inflammatory bowel disease are unclear. The objective of the study was to evaluate the impact of Sb on intestinal mucosal barrier and intestinal flora in a colitis mouse model. Methods: Forty C57BL/6J male mice were randomly assigned to five groups: normal control group (A), pathologic control group (B), Sb treatment group (C), mesalazine treatment group (D), and Sb combined with mesalazine treatment group (E). Colitis was induced by the addition of 2.5%(wt/vol) dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) in the drinking water ad libitum for 7 days. The general condition, weight change, stool property, and bloody stool level of mice were observed to evaluate the disease activity index. The expression of zona occludens-1 (ZO-1) and occludin in intestinal tissue were measured by immunohistochemistry. The level of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-8 in plasma was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Inter-cellular tight junctions were observed by transmission electron microscopy. The feces and intestinal contents were collected sterilely, and intestinal flora was analyzed by 16S rRNA sequencing. Results: Compared with group B, Sb reduced the disease activity index and histological score of group C (disease activity index: group B 2.708 ± 0.628, group C 1.542 ± 0.616, PBC = 0.005;histological score: group B 9.875 ± 3.271, group C 4.750 ± 1.832, PBC = 0.005) in DSS-induced colitis in mice. Sb exerted a protect effect on the expression of ZO-1 (group B 2.075 ± 1.176, group C 4.225 ± 1.316, PBC = 0.019) and occludin (group B 2.200 ± 0.968, group C 3.525 ± 1.047, PBC = 0.023). Compared with group B, Sb decreased the level of TNF-α and IL-8 of group C (TNF-α: group B 716.323 ± 44.691 ng/L, group C 521.740 ± 90.121 ng/L, PBC = 0.001;IL-8: group B 128.992 ± 11.475 pg/mL, group C 106.283 ± 15.906 pg/mL, PBC = 0.012). Treatment with Sb preserved the tight junctions and ameliorated microvilli and inter-cellular space. Treatment with Sb also showed its own characteristics: a higher percentage of Bacteroidetes and a lower percentage of Firmicutes, with significant differences or a significant trend. The proportion of the S24-7 family was increased significantly in the Sb treatment group. Conclusions: Sb shows an anti-inflammatory effect and has a protective effect on the intestinal mucosal mechanical barrier. 13Confined van der Waals Epitaxial Growth of Two-Dimensional Large Single-Crystal In_(2)Se_(3) for Flexible Broadband Photodetectors显示文摘The controllable growth of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors with large domain sizes and high quality is much needed in order to reduce the detrimental efect of grain boundaries on device performance but has proven to be challenging.Here,we analyze the precursor concentration on the substrate surface which signifcantly infuences nucleation density in a vapor deposition growth process and design a confned micro-reactor to grow 2D In_(2)Se_(3) with large domain sizes and high quality.Te uniqueness of this confned micro-reactor is that its size is∼102-103 times smaller than that of a conventional reactor.Such a remarkably small reactor causes a very low precursor concentration on the substrate surface,which reduces nucleation density and leads to the growth of 2D In_(2)Se_(3) grains with sizes larger than 200�m.Our experimental results show large domain sizes of the 2D In_(2)Se_(3) with high crystallinity.Te fexible broadband photodetectors based on the as-grown In_(2)Se_(3) show rise and decay times of 140 ms and 25 ms,efcient response(5.6 A/W),excellent detectivity(7×10^(10) Jones),high external quantum efciency(251%),good fexibility,and high stability.Tis study,in principle,provides an efective strategy for the controllable growth of high quality 2D materials with few grain boundaries.Lei Tang Changjiu Teng Yuting Luo Usman Khan Haiyang Pan Zhengyang Cai Yue Zhao Bilu Liu Hui-Ming Cheng 2019Research2019,,1:7
14A reduced order aerothermodynamic modeling framework for hypersonic vehicles based on surrogate and POD显示文摘Aerothermoelasticity is one of the key technologies for hypersonic vehicles. Accurate and efficient computation of the aerothermodynamics is one of the primary challenges for hypersonic aerothermoelastic analysis. Aimed at solving the shortcomings of engineering calculation, computation fluid dynamics(CFD) and experimental investigation, a reduced order modeling(ROM)framework for aerothermodynamics based on CFD predictions using an enhanced algorithm of fast maximin Latin hypercube design is developed. Both proper orthogonal decomposition(POD) and surrogate are considered and compared to construct ROMs. Two surrogate approaches named Kriging and optimized radial basis function(ORBF) are utilized to construct ROMs. Furthermore,an enhanced algorithm of fast maximin Latin hypercube design is proposed, which proves to be helpful to improve the precisions of ROMs. Test results for the three-dimensional aerothermodynamic over a hypersonic surface indicate that: the ROMs precision based on Kriging is better than that by ORBF, ROMs based on Kriging are marginally more accurate than ROMs based on PODKriging. 15Salvianolic acids improve liver lipid metabolism in ovariectomized rats via blocking STAT-3/SREBP1 signaling显示文摘Postmenopausal women, who have reduced circulating estrogen levels, are more prone to develop obesity and related metabolic diseases than premenopausal women. The absence of safe and effective treatments for postmenopausal obesity has changed the focus to natural products as alternative remedies. Total salvianolic acids(TSA) are the major water-soluble ingredients of Danshen. Salvianolic acid(SA) is the major constituent of the TSA. Salvianolic acids, including TSA and SA, are widely used in traditional Chinese medicine. In the present study, ovariectomized rats and LO2 cells were used to study the effects of salvianolic acids on body weight gain and hepatic steatosis. Salvianolic acids reduced ovariectomy(OVX)-induced body weight gain, attenuated the expressions of hepatic lipogenic genes, such as sterol regulatory element binding protein(SREBP)1, fatty acid synthase(FAS), and stearoyl-CoA desaturase(SCD)1, and decreased the liver triglyceride(TG) and total cholesterol(TC). For the molecular mechanisms, OVX and high glucose-induced phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT)-3 was inhibited by salvianolic acids treatment. In LO2 cells, inhibition of STAT-3 by siRNA attenuated the increased expression of SREBP1 and TG induced by high glucose. Salvianolic acids reduced the upregulation of SREBP1 and TG induced by high glucose in LO2 cells. In conclusion, these findings illustrated that salvianolic acids markedly alleviated the lipid metabolism disorders and protected against the postmenopausal obesity. 16Path Planning Method Based on D^(*) lite Algorithm for Unmanned Surface Vehicles in Complex Environments显示文摘In recent decades,path planning for unmanned surface vehicles(USVs)in complex environments,such as harbours and coastlines,has become an important concern.The existing algorithms for real-time path planning for USVs are either too slow at replanning or unreliable in changing environments with multiple dynamic obstacles.In this study,we developed a novel path planning method based on the D^(*) lite algorithm for real-time path planning of USVs in complex environments.The proposed method has the following advantages:(1)the computational time for replanning is reduced significantly owing to the use of an incremental algorithm and a new method for modelling dynamic obstacles;(2)a constrained artificial potential field method is employed to enhance the safety of the planned paths;and(3)the method is practical in terms of vehicle performance.The performance of the proposed method was evaluated through simulations and compared with those of existing algorithms.The simulation results confirmed the efficiency of the method for real-time path planning of USVs in complex environments.YAO Yan-long LIANG Xiao-feng LI Ming-zhi YU Kai CHEN Zhe NI Chong-ben TENG Yue 2021China Ocean Engineering2021,35,3:6
17Postcapture stabilization of space robots considering actuator failures with bounded torques显示文摘Space robotics is regarded as one of the most impressing approaches for space debris removal missions. Due to the residual momentum of debris, it is essential to stabilize the base rapidly after capture. This paper presents a novel control strategy for stabilization of a space robot in postcapture considering actuator failures and bounded torques. In the control strategy, the motion of the manipulator is not regarded as a disturbance to the base; in contrast, it is utilized to compensate for the limitation of the control torques by means of an inverse dynamical model of the system. Different scenarios where actuators are external mechanisms or momentum exchange devices have been carried out, and for actuator failures, both single-and two-actuator failures have been considered. Regarding to the performance of actuators, control torques are bounded. In cases that either single or two actuators have failed, the base can be stabilized kinematically when actuators are external mechanisms, but can only be stabilized dynamically when only momentum exchange devices are used. Finally, a space robot with a seven-degree-of-freedom manipulator in postcapture is studied to verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed control scheme. 18RP11-40C6.2 Inactivates Hippo Signaling by Attenuating YAP1 Ubiquitylation in Hepatitis B Virus-associated Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Background and Aims:Chronic hepatitis caused by hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a leading cause of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).We investigated the roles of oncogenic HBV infection-associated long noncoding RNAs in HCC.Methods:Bioinformatics analysis of data from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)was performed to screen potential oncogenic HBV-related lncRNAs.Next,we assessed their expression in clinical samples and investigated their correlation with clinical characteristics.The detailed oncogenic effects were analyzed by performing in vitro and in vivo studies.Results:RP11-40C6.2,an HBV infection-related lncRNA,was identified by analysis of the TCGA–Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma database.Gene Set Enrichment Analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes revealed a strong association of RP11-40C6.2 with the Hippo signaling pathway.RP11-40C6.2 was overexpressed in HCC patients with HBV infection compared to those without HBV infection.RP11-40C6.2 transcription showed a positive association with HBV-X protein(HBx),but not HBV core protein(HBc)expression,both of which are carcinogenic proteins.Luciferase gene reporter and ChIP assays revealed that YAP1/TAZ/TEADs complex enhanced RP11-40C6.2 transcription by binding to its promoter area.RP11-40C6.2 showed oncogenic characteristics in HCC cell lines and in animal models that were mediated via activation of YAP1.In vitro ubiquitylation assay revealed that RP11-40C6.2 can promote the stabilization of YAP1 by stopping phosphorylation at its s127 residue and further stopping its degradation through binding to 14-3-3.Conclusions:RP11-40C6.2 is an HBV infection-related lncRNA that exerts its oncogenic effects by targeting the Hippo signaling pathway.Han Zhuo Chen Wu Junwei Tang Feihong Zhang Zhenggang Xu Dongwei Sun Yue Teng Zhongming Tan 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,2:3
19Moisture transfer and phase change in unsaturated soils: an experimental study of two types of canopy effect显示文摘Canopy effect refers to the phenomenon in which moisture accumulates underneath an impervious cover.A canopy effect can lead to full saturation of the soil underneath the impervious cover.A recent theoretical study separates the canopy effect into two types.The first one is caused by evaporation-condensation in unsaturated soils,while the second one is induced by freezing-enhanced vapour transfer in unsaturated soils.To validate experimentally these two types of canopy effect and to reveal their mechanisms,moisture-migration experiments were carried out,using a newly developed laboratory apparatus for unsaturated frozen soils.Six conditions were applied to the calcareous sand,with different initial water contents and boundary temperatures.The results show that water content in the upper portion of the sample increased under an upward temperature gradient,and the increment of water content was greater if the soil was subjected to freezing.For the freezing cases,the depth of the peak water content was in line with the freezing front.And the greater the initial water content,the more the water content accumulated at the freezing front.However,a lower cooling rate seemed to facilitate vapour migration.For the unfrozen cases,the water content in the upper portion of the sample also increased;and the increases became more apparent with a higher initial moisture content.The temperature gradient can also inhibit the vapour migration.A less steep temperature gradient always resulted in a more notable inhibition effect.Test results seem to verify the theory of the canopy effect.Zuo Yue He Ji Dong Teng Sheng Zhang Dai Chao Sheng 2017Research in Cold and Arid Regions2017,9,3:2
20IDV:Internet Domain Name Verification Based on Blockchain显示文摘The rapid development of blockchain technology has provided new ideas for network security research.Blockchain-based network security enhancement solutions are attracting widespread attention.This paper proposes an Internet domain name verification method based on blockchain.The authenticity of DNS(Domain Name System)resolution results is crucial for ensuring the accessibility of Internet services.Due to the lack of adequate security mechanisms,it has always been a challenge to verify the authenticity of Internet domain name resolution results.Although the solution represented by DNSSEC(Domain Name System Security Extensions)can theoretically solve the domain name verification problem,it has not been widely deployed on a global scale due to political,economic,and technical constraints.We argue that the root cause of this problem lies in the significant centralization of the DNS system.This centralized feature not only reduces the efficiency of domain name verification but also has the hidden risks of single point of failure and unilateral control.Internet users may disappear from the Internet due to the results of fake,subverted,or misconfigured domain name resolution.This paper presents a decentralized DNS cache verification method,which uses the consortium blockchain to replace the root domain name server to verify the authenticity of the domain name.Compared with DNSSEC’s domain name verification process,the verification efficiency of this method has increased by 30%,and there is no single point of failure or unilateral control risk.In addition,this solution is incrementally deployable,and even if it is deployed on a small number of content delivery network servers,satisfactory results can be obtained.Ning Hu Yu Teng Yan Zhao Shi Yin Yue Zhao 2021Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2021,,10:2
