| 1 | Animating Chinese ink painting through generating reproducible brush strokes显示文摘By generating reproducible brush strokes of Chinese ink painting,we propose an image-based tool for lively displaying real painting process of Chinese ink painting.Contrasted with previous work where the brush trajectory is explicitly specified as manual input,we automatically extract this trajectory from the outlines of the shapes to paint and model the brush footprints;first complex shape of an input image is decomposed into brush strokes.Second,we estimate the brush trajectory with shape outline and build a brush footprint model to measure the quality of the trajectory constrained by the variation along a stroke of the painting process parameters,such as location,size,and orientation of the footprints.Finally,with our real-time rendering model,the estimated trajectories are dynamically rendered into brush strokes by mapping footprint textures sampled from the input images.It is particularly useful for analysis and appreciation of Chinese ink painting,as well as for art practice and education. | YANG LiJie XU TianChen | 2013 | Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,1: | 5 |
| 2 | Topology optimization of plate structures using plate element-based moving morphable component(MMC)approach显示文摘A topology optimization approach for designing the layout of plate structures is proposed in this article.In this approach,structural mechanical behavior is analyzed under the framework of Kirchhoff plate theory,and structural topology is described explicitly by a set of moving morphable components.Compared to the existing treatments where structural topology is generally described in an implicit manner,the adopted explicit geometry/layout description has demonstrated its advantages on several aspects.Firstly,the number of design variables is reduced substantially.Secondly,the obtained optimized designs are pure black-and-white and contain no gray regions.Besides,numerical experiments show that the use of Kirchhoff plate element helps save 95-99%computational time,compared with traditional treatments where solid elements are used for finite element analysis.Moreover the accuracy of the proposed method is also validated through a comparison with the corresponding theoretical solutions.Several numerical examples are also provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. | Tianchen Cui Zhi Sun Chang Liu Linyuan Li Ronghua Cui Xu Guo | 2020 | Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,2: | 4 |

| 5 | Present-day movement characteristics of the Qinghai Nanshan fault and its surrounding area from GPS observation显示文摘The Qinghai Nanshan fault is a larger fault in the Northeastern Xizang Plateau.In previous studies,its movement characteristics are mainly investigated with geological and seismic observations,and the tectonic transformation role of the fault on its east is not yet clear.This study uses data fusion to obtain denser GPS observations near the Qinghai Nanshan fault.Based on tectonic characteristics,we establish a block model to investigate the fault slip rate,locking degree,and slip deficit.The results show that the Qinghai Nanshan fault slip rate is characterized by sinistral and convergent movement.Both the sinistral and convergent rates display a decreasing trend from west to east.The locking degree and slip deficit are higher in the western segment(with an average of about 0.74 and 1.1 mm/a)and lower in the eastern segment.Then,we construct a strain rate field using GPS observations to analyze the regional strain characteristics.The results indicate that along the fault,the western segment shows a larger shear strain rate and negative dilation rate.Regional earthquake records show that the frequency of earthquakes is lower near the fault.The joint results suggest that the western segment may have a higher earthquake risk.In addition,the insignificant fault slip rate in the eastern segment may indicate that it does not participate in the tectonic transformation among the Riyueshan,Lajishan,and West Qinling faults. | Yang Liu Yuxuan Qiu Jialiang Liu Luyun Xiong Caijun Xu Jianghui Geng Gang Zheng Tianchen Sheng | 2024 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2024,15,2: | 0 |
| 6 | Revealing the frequency-dependent oscillations in the nonlinear terahertz response induced by the Josephson current显示文摘Nonlinear responses of superconductors to intense terahertz radiation has been an active research frontier.Using terahertz pump-terahertz probe spectroscopy,we investigate the c-axis nonlinear optical response of a high-temperature superconducting cuprate.After excitation by a single-cycle terahertz pump pulse,the reflectivity of the probe pulse oscillates as the pump-probe delay is varied.Interestingly,the oscillatory central frequency scales linearly with the probe frequency,a fact widely overlooked in pump-probe experiments.By theoretically solving the nonlinear optical reflection problem on the interface,we show that our observation is well explained by the Josephson-type third-order nonlinear electrodynamics,together with the emission coefficient from inside the material into free space.The latter results in a strong enhancement of the emitted signal whose physical frequency is around the Josephson plasma edge.Our result offers a benchmark for and new insights into strong-field terahertz spectroscopy of related quantum materials. | Sijie Zhang Zhiyuan Sun Qiaomei Liu Zixiao Wang Qiong Wu Li Yue Shuxiang Xu Tianchen Hu Rongsheng Li Xinyu Zhou Jiayu Yuan Genda Gu Tao Dong Nanlin Wang | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,11: | 0 |
