| 1 | Markers of implicit meaning: A pragmatic paradox?显示文摘This paper addresses a very general problem—the relationship between implicit and explicit forms of meaning–that is as old as scholarly attention to language in use.It first tries to define the problem.Then it presents some elementary aspects of the way in which the problem has been dealt with in the pragmatic literature.This is followed by an excursion into the world of related natural-language concepts,as reflected in the English metapragmatic lexicon.Finally,the paper tries to make a contribution to a solution by proposing a threedimensional matrix to account for what might look like a one-dimensional gradable scale from implicit to explicit.An attempt is made to illustrate the potential usefulness of the suggestions.Conclusions mainly take the form of perspectives for future research. | Jef Verschueren | 2013 | 外语教育研究2013，1，1： | 3 |
| 2 | Intertextual Appropriation: Note on the Pragmatics of International Flows of Meaning显示文摘互文性是语篇研究中的一个重要概念。本文引介'互文挪用'这一术语,将其重新界定为,在国际新闻报道中事件的形成顺应特定的阐释模式或意识形态的过程。每个语篇都存在于与其他语篇的关系之中,每个语篇又为新语篇的产生提供上下文。公共语篇中的互文可以起到促进社会团结及社会政治融合的作用,作者假定其挪用的文化素材与读者共知,但有时话语识别者并不能识别源文本的共享信息。尤其是在当今国际新闻报道中,相同的'事实'会跨越不同的社会、文化、政治区域,不可避免地纳入特定解释框架,在不同地区产生迥然不同的意义,这就是本文所提出的'互文挪用'。本研究以2003年5月英国航空公司暂停往返肯尼亚航班事件为例,选取肯尼亚、美国、比利时、埃及等国际媒体对此事件的不同报道为分析对象。研究发现:信息的传递永远不可能达到中立,没有立场的交际严格意义上说是不存在的。同样的事件信息通过不同的媒体,会顺应特定的理解模式和意识形态而体现出差异性,具体表现为文本层面的词汇选择、情态、言据性以及互文指称等方面的意义流动;意义生成还取决于视角的差异(如事件顺序中隐含的因果关系),以及置于更广泛社会争论中的事件,其中体现出不同政体与不同媒体间的信息不对称以及国际影响、交际及权力施加的单向性等。针对同一事件的不同国际新闻报道既相互关联又具有连续性,通过具体语言选择明示或隐含地生成意义。语篇的解读无法脱离意识形态的影响,这为语用学和语言教学研究提供启示,亦即应该关注具体语言选择并识别暗含的立场。 | Jef Verschueren | 2014 | 外语与外语教学2014，，5： | 3 |

| 16 | Virtual analysis of influence of a filter on mould filling显示文摘Ceramic filters are used to avoid slag and impurities in foundry applications. When not properly applied, the presence of these filters may have a significant influence on mould filling. 3-D casting simulation has been applied to study the effects of the use of a ceramic filter on the metal flow in a gating system. Instead of using a pressure drop model to represent the behaviour of a fluid metal flow passing through a filter, a real exact filter geometry, which is created by a high resolution CT-scan and a non-destructive imaging technique, in the gating system is applied in the simulation. In this research, nodular cast iron is poured into a block casting. A depressurized gating system is used. After a choke, a filter with different orientations is placed in the system. Mould filling coupled with temperature is simulated. Geometries using different orientations of the filter, and without the filter have been researched. The simulated results show that the filter has no influence on the pouring time of the casting if the choke section is small enough compared to the effective section of the filter. Although the filter has no significant influence on the flow patterns in the block casting itself, the flow patterns in the filter zone are different. When the liquid metal passes a horizontal filter, it will be broken into many small streams and show a shower effect. After the part under the filter is full, the shower effect disappears. When the filter is located at the vertical position, due to the gravity, the shower effect is less.
