| 1 | The Study of Single Station Inverting the Sea Surface Current by HF Ground Wave Radar Based on Adjoint Assimilation Technology显示文摘This paper introduces the assimilation technology in an ocean dynamics model and discusses the feasibility of inverting the sea surface current in the detection zone by assimilating the sea current radial velocity detected by single station HF ground wave radar in ocean dynamics model. Based on the adjoint assimilation and POM model, the paper successfully inverts the sea surface current through single station HF ground wave radar in the Zhoushan sea area. The single station HF radar inversion results are also compared with the bistatic HF radar composite results and the fixed point measured results by Annderaa current meter. | 2 | Modulation and Voltage Balancing Control of Dual Five-level ANPC Inverter for Ship Electric Propulsion Systems显示文摘Open-end winding motors are used extensively in ship electric propulsion systems,in which medium-voltage high-power inverters are a critical component.To increase the system voltage and power density,a dual five-level active neutral-point clamped(ANPC)inverter is proposed herein to drive medium-voltage open-end winding motors for ship electric propulsion.Each phase of this inverter comprises two five-level ANPC bridges and all the phases are powered by a common direct-current link.A hybrid modulation method is proposed to control this inverter.The series-connected switches in all the five-level ANPC bridges are operated at the fundamental frequency,and the other switches are controlled with a phase-shifted pulse-width modulation(PWM),which can achieve a natural balance between the neutral-point voltage and flying capacitor voltages in a carrier period.A closed-loop capacitor voltage balancing method based on adjusting the duty ratios of the PWM signals is proposed.The neutral-point voltage and flying capacitor voltages can be controlled independently and balanced without affecting the output phase voltage.Simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the validity of this method. | Xiaohui Xu Xingchi Song Kui Wang Nianzhou Liu Wenfeng Long Zedong Zheng Yongdong Li | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2021,7,4: | 0 |
| 3 | The Influence of Two Kinds of El Ni?o Events on the Strong Tropical Cyclone Generation and Strength in the Pacific Ocean显示文摘This paper focuses on the effects of two types of El Ni?o events on tropical cyclone activity.We classified El Ni?o events from 1961 to 2015 according to their sea surface temperature(SST) anomalies into an eastern type and a central type.Then we selected strong tropical cyclones to statistically analyze the tropical cyclone characteristics during different events and their effects,as well as to study the possible mechanisms related to thermodynamic and dynamic factors.The tropical cyclone generation areas were found to be very similar during the two kinds of events.The average number of tropical cyclone in the eastern event is more than that in central event,and the hurricane in northeastern Pacific(HNP) has more energy than the typhoon in northwestern Pacific(TNP) in all cases.The seasonal distribution of the TNP high-incidence centers during central El Ni?o events is opposite to that of the HNP.The TNP accumulated cyclone energy(ACE) intensity is similar in the fall and summer,and the HNP ACE intensity in the summer is greater than that in the fall.The SSTs are consistent with the TNP and HNP movement trends.The Walker circulation intensity was strongly affected by the eastern events,but it quickly returned to its normal state,while the intensity was slightly reduced in the central events,and it slowly returned to its normal state.The vertical velocity distributions in the Pacific are different at different stages of both events,and the distributions of vertical velocity anomalies for typhoons and hurricanes are consistent. | WANG Xingchi HAN Shuzong WANG Xin DONG Yujie | 2018 | Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,5: | 0 |
| 4 | The influences of winds on the salt balance of the Tampa Bay during the fall of 2001显示文摘A three-dimensional,high resolution,Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Model(FVCOM) is used to diagnose the influences of winds during the fall of 2001 on the salt balance of the Tampa Bay.To distinguish the wind effecting,two experiments are designed:one is driven by tides and rivers;the other is driven by tides,rivers and winds.First,the salinity change induced by wind is provided.Wind forcing can significantly increase the salinity inside the Tampa Bay,along with decreases of horizontal and vertical salt gradients.Subsequently,the salt balance principles are detailed addressed.The primary salt balance is between the total(horizontal plus vertical)advective salt flux divergence and vertical diffusive salt flux divergence except at the channel bottom where horizontal diffusive salt flux divergence comes into play.At last,the salt balance variation induced by winds is further addressed.Wind forcing does not change the relative importance of salt balance terms.The variations of the salt balance terms influenced by winds are highly dependent on the specific locations.Besides,the variations of the total advective salt flux divergence and the vertical diffusive salt flux divergence are nearly couterbalance,and both of two terms are much greater than that of the horizontal diffusive salt flux divergence. | HAN Shuzong ZHU Jun FAN Yongbin QI Hongshuai WANG Xingchi | 2016 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,9: | 0 |
| 5 | Study on the mesoscale eddies around the Ryukyu Islands显示文摘Results of the Ocean General Circulation Model for the Earth Simulator(OFES) from January 1977 to December2006 are used to investigate mesoscale eddies near the Ryukyu Islands. The results show that:(1) Larger eddies are mainly east of Taiwan, above the Ryukyu Trench and south of the Shikoku Island. These three sea areas are all in the vicinity of the Ryukyu Current.(2) Eddies in the area of the Ryukyu Current are mainly anticyclonic, and conducive to that current. The transport of water east of the Ryukyu Islands is mainly toward the northeast.(3)The Ryukyu Current is significantly affected by the eddies. The lower the latitude, the greater these effects.However, the Kuroshio is relatively stable, and the effect of mesoscale eddies is not significant.(4) A warm eddy south of the Shikoku Island break away from the Kuroshio and move southwest, and is clearly affected by the Ryukyu Current and Kuroshio.
