| 1 | DEM simulation of particle flow on a single deck banana screen显示文摘A mathematical study of particle flow on a banana screen deck using the discrete element method (DEM) was presented in this paper. The motion characteristics and penetrating mechanisms of particles on the screen deck were studied. Effects of geometric parameters of screen deck on banana screening process were also investigated. The results show that when the values of inclination of discharge and increment of screen deck inclination are 10° and 5° respectively, the banana screening process get a good screening performance in the simulation. The relationship between screen deck length and screening efficiency was further confirmed. | 3 | A model for predicting bubble rise velocity in a pulsed gas solid fluidized bed显示文摘Bed stability, and especially the bed density distribution, is affected by the behavior of bubbles in a gas solid fluidized bed. Bubble rise velocity in a pulsed gas-solid fluidized bed was studied using photographic and computational fluid dynamics methods. The variation in bubble rise velocity was investigated as a function of the periodic pulsed air flow. A predictive model of bubble rise velocity was derived: ub=ψ(Ut+Up-Umf)+kp(gdb)(1/2). The software of Origin was used to fit the empirical coefficients to give ψ = 0.4807 and kp = 0.1305. Experimental verification of the simulations shows that the regular change in bubble rise velocity is accurately described by the model. | 4 | NK cells play a significant role in immunosurveillance at the early stage of MLL-AF9 acute myeloid leukemia via CD226/CD155 interactions显示文摘Acute myeloid leukemia(AML) is an aggressive hematological malignancy, and the mechanism underlying immune system involvement in leukemia development is unclear. In the present study, we utilized a myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia; translocated to, 3(MLLT3/MLL-AF9)-induced AML mouse model with or without exposure to irradiation. We found that the leukemia cells could survive and expand in hosts with intact immune systems, whereas leukemia progression was accelerated in mice with impaired immune systems. Moreover, the leukemia cells escaped from host immunosurveillance via editing their immunogenicity, including the up-regulation of an inhibitory antigen(i.e., CD47) and the down-regulation of active antigens(i.e., CD86, CD54, retinoic acid early transcript(RAE), histocompatibility 2, D region locus b(H2-Db) and H2-Dd). Natural killer(NK) cells were activated in the early phase of AML progression, whereas T cells were stimulated in the late phase. Furthermore, NK cell depletion showed that NK cells were necessary for the elimination of leukemia cells in our AML mouse model. Notably, CD155/CD226 primarily mediated the interaction between NK cells and leukemia cells and contributed to the antitumor effects of NK cells during the early phase of AML. Clinical data from patients with diverse hematological malignancies showed that CD155 expression was decreased in hematological malignancies. | 5 | Effects of substituting chemical fertilizers with manure on rice yield and soil labile nitrogen in paddy fields of China: A meta-analysis显示文摘Substituting chemical fertilizers with manure is an important method for efficient nutrient management in rice cropping systems of China.Labile nitrogen(N)is the most active component of the soil N pool and plays an essential role in soil fertility.However,the effects of manure substitution on soil labile N in rice cropping systems and their relationships with soil properties,fertilization practices,and climatic conditions remain unclear and should be systematically quantified.Here,we investigated rice grain yield and four types of soil labile N that have been widely reported,including available nitrogen(AN),ammonium nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N),nitrate nitrogen(NO_(3)^(−)-N),and microbial biomass nitrogen(MBN).We reviewed 187 published articles and performed a meta-analysis to quantify the effects of manure substitution on yield and soil labile N.The results showed that manure substitution increased AN,MBN,NH+4-N,and NO−3-N by 11.3%,38.5%,5.9%,and 8.1%,respectively.Partial substitution significantly increased the yield by 1.4%–5.9%,but full substitution significantly decreased the yield by 2.9%.The positive effects of manure substitution on yield and AN were stronger with long-term fertilization.The differences in responses varied across specific manure types,N application rates,soil properties,and climatic factors.In conclusion,manure substitution can increase soil labile N and is regarded as an efficient strategy for improving soil N fertility and a recommended measure for applying both chemical and organic fertilizers in rice systems.This study provides evidence of the effects of manure substitution on yield enhancement by increasing soil labile N. | Qiong HOU Yuemin NI Shan HUANG Ting ZUO Jian WANG Wuzhong NI | 2023 | Pedosphere2023,33,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Variable elliptical vibrating screen: Particles kinematics and industrial application显示文摘Traditional vibrating screen usually adopts the linear centralized excitation mode,which causes the difficulty in particles loosening and low screening efficiency.The variable elliptical vibrating screen(VEVS)trajectory is regulated to adapt the material mass along the direction of the screen length,improving the particles distribution as well as the screening efficiency.In this work,a theoretical model was developed for analyzing the screen surface motion law during VEVS-based screening process.An equation was obtained to show the relationship between the horizontal amplitude and the vertical amplitude.The materials kinetic characteristics were studied by using high-speed camera during screening process.Compared with equal-amplitude screen(EAS),the material moving velocity was increased by 13.03%on the first half but decreased by 3.52% on the second half,and the total screening time was reduced by 9.42% by using VEVS.In addition,-6 mm screening test was carried out.At the length of VEVS equaled to 1.2 m,the screening efficiency and the total misplaced material content were 92.50% and 2.90%,respectively.However,the screening efficiency was 89.91% and the total misplaced material content was 3.76% during EAS-based screening process.Furthermore,when external moisture is 5.96%,the screening efficiency of VEVS could reach 86.95%.The 2 TKB50113 type VEVS with double-layered screen surface used in Huoshizui Coal Mine was 5.0 m in width and 11.3 m in length.The areas of single layer and double layer were 56.5 and 113 m~2,respectively.In industrial production,the processing capacity was 2500-3000 t/h and the screening efficiency was larger than 90%. | Chenlong Duan Jiale Yuan Miao Pan Tao Huang Haishen Jiang Yuemin Zhao Jinpeng Qiao Weinan Wang Shijie Yu Jiawang Lu | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,6: | 2 |

| 15 | Comprehensive characterization of CRC with germline mutations reveals a distinct somatic mutational landscape and elevated cancer risk in the Chinese population显示文摘Objective:Hereditary colorectal cancer(CRC)accounts for approximately 5%–10%of all CRC cases.The full profile of CRC-related germline mutations and the corresponding somatic mutational profile have not been fully determined in the Chinese population.Methods:We performed the first population study investigating the germline mutation status in more than 1,000(n=1,923)Chinese patients with CRC and examined their relationship with the somatic mutational landscape.Germline alterations were examined with a 58-gene next-generation sequencing panel,and somatic alterations were examined with a 605-gene panel.Results:A total of 92 pathogenic(P)mutations were identified in 85 patients,and 81 likely pathogenic(LP)germline mutations were identified in 62 patients,accounting for 7.6%(147/1,923)of all patients.MSH2 and APC was the most mutated gene in the Lynch syndrome and non-Lynch syndrome groups,respectively.Patients with P/LP mutations had a significantly higher ratio of microsatellite instability,highly deficient mismatch repair,family history of CRC,and lower age.The somatic mutational landscape revealed a significantly higher mutational frequency in the P group and a trend toward higher copy number variations in the non-P group.The Lynch syndrome group had a significantly higher mutational frequency and tumor mutational burden than the nonLynch syndrome group.Clustering analysis revealed that the Notch signaling pathway was uniquely clustered in the Lynch syndrome group,and the MAPK and cAMP signaling pathways were uniquely clustered in the non-Lynch syndrome group.Population risk analysis indicated that the overall odds ratio was 11.13(95%CI:8.289–15.44)for the P group and 20.68(95%CI:12.89–33.18)for the LP group.Conclusions:Distinct features were revealed in Chinese patients with CRC with germline mutations.The Notch signaling pathway was uniquely clustered in the Lynch syndrome group,and the MAPK and cAMP signaling pathways were uniquely clustered in the non-Lynch syndrome group.Patients with P/LP germline mutations exhibited higher CRC risk. | Jianfei Yao Yunhuan Zhen Jing Fan Yuan Gong Yumeng Ye Shaohua Guo Hongyi Liu Xiaoyun Li Guosheng Li Pan Yang Xiaohui Wang Danni Liu Tanxiao Huang Huiya Cao Peisu Suo Yuemin Li Jingbo Yu Lele Song | 2022 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,5: | 1 |
