Chronology and Crust-Mantle Mixing of Ore-forming Porphyry of the Bangongco: Evidence from Zircon U-Pb Age and Hf Isotopes of the Naruo Porphyry Copper-Gold Deposit显示文摘The Naruo porphyry copper-gold deposit(hereinafter referred to as the Naruo deposit) in Tibet is a potentially ultra-large, typical gold-rich porphyry copper deposit, which was recently discovered in the Bangongco-Nujiang metallogenic belt. This study analyzed U-Pb chronology and Hf isotopes of the ore-bearing granodiorite porphyry in the Naruo deposit using the LA-ICPMS dating technique. The results show that the weighted average age is 124.03±0.94Ma(MSWD=1.7, n=20), and 206Pb/238 U isochron age is 126.2±2.7 Ma(MSWD=1.02, n=20), both of which are within the error. The weighted average age represents the crystallization age of the granodiorite porphyry, which indicates that the ore-bearing porphyry in the Naruo deposit area was formed in the Early Cretaceous and further implies that the Neo-tethys Ocean had not been closed before 124 Ma under a typical island-arc subduction environment. The εHf(t) of zircons from the granodiorite porphyry varies from 2.14 to 9.07, with an average of 5.18, and all zircons have εHf(t) values greater than 0; 176Hf/177 Hf ratio is relatively high(0.282725–0.282986). Combined with the zircon age―Hf isotope correlation diagram, the aforementioned data indicate that the source reservoir might be a region that is mixed with depleted mantle and ancient crust, which possibly contains more materials sourced from depleted mantle. Rock-forming ages and ore-forming ages of the Duolong ore concentrate area are 120–124 Ma and 118–119 Ma, respectively, which indicate 124–118 Ma represents the main rockforming and ore-forming stage within the area. The Naruo deposit is located in the north of the Bangongco-Nujiang suture, and it yielded a zircon LA-ICPMS age of 124.03 Ma. This indicates the Bangongco-Nujiang oceanic basin subducted towards the north at about 124 Ma, and the Neo-tethys Ocean had not been closed before the middle Early Cretaceous. It is possible that the crust-mantle mixing formed the series of large and giant porphyry copper-gold deposits in the Bangongco. | ZHOU Xiong FEI Guangchun ZHOU Yu WEN Chunqi ZHANG Yi YUE Xiangyuan | 2015 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,1: | 12
4.1 Ga old detrital zircon in western Tibet of China显示文摘4.1 Ga old detrital zircon was found by SHRIMP U-Pb dating for quartz schist from Buring County in western Tibet, Southwest China. This is the oldest zircon U-Pb age found in China so far. The detrital zircon is a zircon of magmatic origin because its Th/ U ratios are 0.76 to 0.86. Two dates older than 4.0 Ga were measured only in one grain. U-Pb ages of 35 measured spots in 24 zircons can be subdivided into 6 groups, corresponding to at least 6 episodes of magmatic activity in the target area. The present results provide an important geochronological constraint on the geological evolution of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. | DUO Ji WEN ChunQi GUO JianCi FAN XiaoPing LI XiaoWen | 2007 | Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,1: | 11
Zinccopperite-A New Variety of Zinc-CopperIntermetallic Compounds Discovered in aPorphyry-Copper Deposit显示文摘Zinccopperite (tentatively named) is a rare native alloy mineral discovered in quartz monzonite-porphyry in the Xifanping area, Yanyuan County, Sichuan Province. It is a new variety of zinc-copper alloy mineral found for the first time in the porphyry-copper deposit in China. Its intergrown minerals are K-feldspar (mainly perthite), albite-oligoclase, quartz and biotite; and the associated minerals include pyrite and chalcopyrite. It is characterized by a golden reflection colour, being isotropic (isometric), with the grain size ranging from 10 to 50 μm, microhardness VHN10= 190 kg/mm2, and reflectance RVis= 67.97%. Electron microprobe (Model JXA-733) analysis shows Cu = 59.15%-62.55% and Zn= 36.32%-39.85%. The crystallochemical formula is Cu6.27-7.0Zn4.0, simplified as Cu7Zn4. | XIAO Yuanfu SUN Yan LU Yan WEN Chunqi WANG Jiangzhen | 1998 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1998,72,3: | 8
Zircon chronology and Hf isotopic composition of ore-bearing porphyry in the Bolong intrusion,Tibet显示文摘The Bolong copper deposit of Tibet is a large porphyry copper deposit and lies in the porphyry copper metallogenic belt of the western section of Ban’gonghu-Nujiang area. The copper property is located in approximately 80km northwest of Gaize County of Tibet, and at the south margin of the Qiangtang-Sanjiang compound slice, within the Duolong ore concentration area.1 Geology Overview Strata outcrop within the property mainly includes the first lithologic unit of Middle Jurassic Quse | ZHOU Yu DUO Ji WEN ChunQi ZHOU Xiong FEI GuanChun HE YangYang | 2014 | 矿床地质2014,33,S1: | 0
The discovery of zinccopperite in a porphyry-copper deposit and its genetic significance显示文摘1 Geological features in the deposit THE Xifanping porphyry is located in the Yanyuan-Lijiang fault block at the southern margin of theYangtze massif. Only the Upper Permian Leping Formation and the Lower Triassic Qingtianbao Formation are exposed in Yanyuan County, Sichuan Province. The main ore-bearing rock body (No. 80) is anear-equant irregular complex stock, about 900 m long from east to west and 720 m wide from north tosouth. The bulk part consists of megaphyric biotite-quartz monzonitic porphyry. The commercial orebodylies in the No. 80 rock body and its surrounding country rocks, an N-S-elongated irregular lens-shapeddeposit. The orebody is controlled by the K-feldspar-biotite and quartz-sericite alteration zones. It consists mainly of disseminated and veinlet-disseminated ores. | XIAO Yuanfu, SUN Yan, LU Yan, WANG Jiangzhen and WEN Chunqi Chengdu University of Technology, Chengdu 610059, China | 1999 | Chinese Science Bulletin1999,44,S2: | 0
Detrital Zircon of 4100 Ma in Quartzite in Burang,Tibet显示文摘A detrital zircon aged 4.1 Ga is discovered by the SHRIMP U-Pb method in a quartzite in Burang County, western Tibet. This is presently the oldest single-grain detrital zircon in China. The Th-U ratios of the two testing points of the >4.0 Ga zircon are between 0.76 and 0.86, indicating their magmatic origin. This discovery has offered an important age for investigating the geological evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. | DUO Ji WEN Chunqi FAN Xiaoping GUO Jianci NI Zhiyao LI Xiaowen SHI Yuruo WEN Quan | 2006 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2006,80,6: | 0
