1Biological characteristics of marine bacterium S-9801 strain and its culture conditions of pigment production显示文摘Strain of Flavobacterium sp.(S-9801),was screened from 207 strains of marine bacteria isolated from the Bohai Sea continental shelf and the Zhujiang Estuary,for its red pigment production.The biological characteristics of strain S-9801 and culture conditions of pigment production have been checked out in this study. The color of the bacterial colony on 2216E medium was from coccineus to rose bengal. Optimum culture conditions were sodium chloride concentration(g/dm3),10~30;pH,3~8;temperature,25~28℃;tryptone and yeast extract as nitrogen sources and glucose as carbon source. 2Assessment of the risk of infectious aerosols leaking to the environment from BSL-3 laboratory HEPA air filtration systems using model bacterial aerosols显示文摘To assess the risk of infectious bacterial aerosols leaking to the environment, the filtration efficiency of a biosafety level 3(BSL-3) laboratory high-efficiency particulate(HEPA) filter was investigated using the aerosolized bacteria Serratia marcescens. The aerosol size was measured using an Andersen sampler. Eight first stage HEPA filters(numbered 1-8) were distributed in contaminated labs and exhausts from each0f the first stage HEPA filters were aggregated and filtered through one second stage HEPA filter before being released to the environment. In total, 8 first-stage and 1 second-stage HEPA filters from the BSL-3 air purification system were analyzed. No S. marcescens was detected in first stage filters 1,2,4,5,7 and 8 and the second stage HEPA filter. The filtration efficiencies against aerosolized S. marcescens were >99.9999%.First stage filter numbers 3 and 6 had filtration efficiencies of 99.9825% and 99.9906%, respectively. When filter number 3 was replaced by a new filter and the bracket for filter number 6 was sealed, no aerosolized S. marcescens was detected in the filtered air. 3A Statistical Analysis on Tidal Triggering of Earthquakes in the Kashi-Wuqia Intersection Area in Xinjiang显示文摘A statistical analysis on earthquake activity in the Kashi-Wuqia intersection area triggered by earth tide is done by Schusters test and the Permutation test on daily and monthly scales. The north-south,east-west component of the tidal force and tidal body stress are chosen as the tidal curve in the daily scale. The results show that most of the earthquakes occurred near the maximum 0° of the three kinds of tidal curves,the predominant tidal phases of the earthquake are- 5. 86°,6. 60° and- 15. 52°,and the frequency of the earthquakes increases with the increase of the tide; with three kinds of tidal curves( the north-south,east-west component of the tidal force and tidal body stress),the p S of Schusters test for all the earthquakes is 10. 52%,2. 40% and 2. 06%,and the p P of the Permutation test is 10. 90%,2. 40% and 2. 06%,and the results of p S and p P based on the east-west component of the tidal force and tidal body stress are below the threshold of 0. 05 that tidal triggering of earthquakes. In the monthly scale,both the p S and p P are very low( close to 0),far below the threshold of 0. 05 of tidal triggering of earthquakes,and the predominant tidal phase for earthquake triggering is- 18. 95°,close to the maximum 0°( new moon and full moon) of the earth tide in monthly scale. 4Rh/CeO_(2) composites prepared by combining dealloying with calcination as an efficient catalyst for CO oxidation and CH4 combustion显示文摘In this paper,a series of Rh/CeO_(2) catalysts with three-dimensional porous nanorod frameworks and large specific surface area were prepared by chemical dealloying Al–Ce–Rh precursor alloys and then calcining in pure O_(2).The effects of the Rh content and calcination temperature on CO oxidation and CH_(4) combustion were studied,and the results reveal that the Rh/CeO_(2) catalysts produced by dealloying melt-spun Al_(91.3)Ce_(8)Rh_(0.7) alloy ribbons and then calcining at 500℃ exhibit the best catalytic activity,the reaction temperatures for the complete conversion of CO and CH_(4) are as low as 90 and 400℃,respectively.Furthermore,after 150 h of continuous testing at high concentrations of H2O and CO_(2),the nature of the catalyst is not irreversibly destroyed and can still return to its initial level of activity.This excellent catalytic activity is attributed to a portion of Rh being uniformly distributed on the CeO_(2) nanorod surface in the form of nanoparticles,forming strong Rh–CeO_(2) interfacial synergy.Another portion of Rh permeated into the CeO_(2) lattice,which results in a significant increase in the number of oxygen vacancies in CeO_(2),thus allowing more surface active oxygen to be adsorbed and converted from the gas phase.Moreover,the catalytic reaction can proceed even in an oxygen-free environment due to the excellent oxygen storage performance of the Rh/CeO_(2) catalyst.Dong Duan Chunxi Hao Gege He Yang Wen Zhanbo Sun 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,4:0
5Studies on the bioactivity of marine microorganisms using Pyricularia oryzae model显示文摘A total of 2 088 marine microorganisms including 1 392 strains of bacteria and 696 strains of fungi were isolated from diverse marine environment such as the South Pole, the North Pole, and Qingdao tideland, etc. Through a systematic screening process involving the use of Pyricularia oryzae mode, 90 bacteria and 31 fungi strains demonstrating positive bioactivities were identified. The rates of active strains of marine bacteria and marine fungi were 6.5% and 4.5%, respectively. The relationships between the active strains and the sampling locations and hosts were studied. For marine bacteria, the three locations showing the highest rates of active strains were 8.4% in the Zhujiang Estuary, 7.2% at the North Pole and 6.3% in the Bohai Sea. For marine fungi, the highest rates observed were 7.8% at the South Pole, 7.4% in the South China Sea and 6.8% at the Qingdao tideland. An analysis of the host showed that the three highest rates of active strain for marine bacteria were 8.2% for seawater from the Zhujiang Estuary, 8% for alga from the Qingdao tideland and 7.6% for sea mud from the North Pole. For marine fungi, the highest rates observed were 8.3% for Qingdao actiniae, 7.4% for South China Sea poriferan and 4.5% for soil of Qingdao Suaeda salsa. Four fungi and two bacteria samples were selected for further study because of their high bioactivity.
