Application of DVA theory in vibration reduction of carbody with suspended equipment for high-speed EMU显示文摘The theory of dynamic vibration absorber(DVA)was applied to restrain the vibration of carbody for high-speed electric multiple unit(EMU).The carbody was modeled as an Euler-Bernoulli beam with the equipment mounted on the chassis regarded as a DVA.Suspension parameters of the equipment were optimized based on the modal analysis of the beam and parameter optimization of the DVA.Vertical motion equations of the carbody and equipment were derived to study the effect of the suspension parameters on the vibration of carbody, which included the suspension frequency, damping ratio, mounting position and mass. Then a 3D rigid-flexible coupled vehicle system dynamics model was built to simulate the response of carbody and equipment to track excitation. The results show that the equipment mounted on the carbody chassis can be regarded as a DVA to reduce the flexible vibration of carbody, and the optimum suspension frequency can be calculated theoretically with the first-order vertical bending mode of carbody considered.Heavy equipment should be mounted to the carbody center as close as possible to obtain a significant vibration reduction, while light equipment has quite limited contribution to that. Also,a laboratory test was conducted on the full-scale test rig which shows a good agreement with the theoretical analysis and dynamic simulations. The faster the vehicle runs, the more significant are the advantages of the elastic suspension. | SHI HuaiLong LUO Ren WU PingBo ZENG Jing GUO JinYing | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,7: | 14
Influence of equipment excitation on flexible carbody vibration of EMU显示文摘To study the vibration transmission characteristics of a flexible carbody and its suspended equipment, a vertical mathematical model of high-speed electric multiple unit was established with equipment excitation considered. And the dynamic unbalance and impact turbulence excitation from equipment were taken into account in a singlestage and two-stage vibration isolation system, respectively. Results show that the excitation transferred to carbody increases with suspension stiffness but decreases with the equipment mass increasing; the vibration transmission can be reduced by increasing the equipment mass or reduce the suspension stiffness. To avoid vibration resonance, the dynamic unbalance frequency of equipment should be out of the possible range of the carbody flexible modes, and a small stiffness should be applied to reduce the impact turbulence. A small stiffness, however, would result in a large movement of the equipment which is limited by the static deflection requirement, while a great stiffness will transfer high frequency vibration. Therefore, a preferred stiffness should make the suspension frequency of equipment a bit greater than the first bending mode of carbody. Additionally,a 3D rigid-flexible coupled dynamics model was built to verify the mathematical analysis, and they show good agreements. Results show that a two-stage isolation could reduce the excitation transmission and make the vibration of carbody and equipment acceptable. | Huailong Shi Ren Luo Pingbo Wu Jing Zeng Jinying Guo | 2014 | Journal of Modern Transportation2014,22,4: | 8
The origin of Wx^(la) provides new insights into the improvement of grain quality in rice显示文摘Appearance and taste are important factors in rice(Oryza sativa) grain quality. Here, we investigated the taste scores and related eating-quality traits of533 diverse cultivars to assess the relationships between—and genetic basis of—rice taste and eating-quality. A genome-wide association study highlighted the Wx gene as the major factor underlying variation in taste and eating quality. Notably, a novel waxy(Wx) allele, Wx^(la), which combined two mutations from Wx^(b) and Wx^(in), exhibited a unique phenotype. Reduced GBSSI activity conferred Wx^(la) rice with both a transparent appearance and good eating quality. Haplotype analysis revealed that Wx^(la) was derived from intragenic recombination. In fact, the recombination rate at the Wx locus was estimated to be 3.34 kb/c M, which was about 75-fold higher than the genome-wide mean, indicating that intragenic recombination is a major force driving diversity at the Wx locus. Based on our results, we propose a new network for Wx evolution, noting that new Wx alleles could easily be generated by crossing genotypes with different Wx alleles. This study thus provides insights into the evolution of the Wx locus and facilitates molecular breeding for quality in rice. | Hao Zhou Duo Xia Da Zhao Yanhua Li Pingbo Li Bian Wu Guanjun Gao Qinglu Zhang Gongwei Wang Jinghua Xiao Xianghua Li Sibin Yu Xingming Lian Yuqing He | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,5: | 8
How rice organs are colored: The genetic basis of anthocyanin biosynthesis in rice显示文摘Anthocyanins are a major subclass of flavonoids that have diverse biological functions and benefit human health. In rice(Oryza sativa),the various colors shown by organs are due mainly to the accumulation of anthocyanins and are traits associated with domestication.Elucidating the genetic basis of anthocyanin biosynthesis in rice would support the engineering of anthocyanins as well as shedding light on the evolutionary history of O.sativa.We summarize recent progress in rice anthocyanin biosynthesis research, including gene cloning, biosynthetic pathway discovery, and study of the domestication process. We discuss the application of anthocyanin biosynthesis genes in rice breeding. Our object is to broaden knowledge of the genetic basis of anthocyanin biosynthesis in rice and support the breeding of novel rice cultivars. | Duo Xia Hao Zhou Yipei Wang Pingbo Li Pei Fu Bian Wu Yuqing He | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,3: | 7
Safety evaluation for railway vehicles using an improved indirect measurement method of wheel–rail forces显示文摘The wheel–rail force measurement is of great importance to the condition monitoring and safety evaluation of railway vehicles. In this paper, an improved indirect method for wheel–rail force measurement is proposed to evaluate the running safety of railway vehicles. In this method, the equilibrium equations of a suspended wheelset are derived and the wheel–rail forces are then be obtained from measured suspension and inertia forces. This indirect method avoids structural modifications to the wheelset and is applicable to the long-term operation of railway vehicles. As the wheel–rail lateral forces at two sides of the wheelset are difficult to separate, a new derailment criterion by combined use of wheelset derailment coefficient and wheel unloading ratio is proposed. To illustrate its effectiveness, the indirect method is applied to safety evaluation of railway vehicles in different scenarios, such as the cross wind safety of a high-speed train and the safety of a metro vehicle with hunting motions. Then, the feasibility of using this method to identify wheel–rail forces for low-floor light rail vehicles with resilient wheels is discussed. The values identified by this method is compared with that by Simpack simulation for the same low-floor vehicle, which shows a good coincidence between them in the time domain of the wheelset lateral force and the wheel–rail vertical force. In addition, use of the method to determine the high-frequency wheel–rail interaction forces reveals that it is possible to identify the high-frequency wheel–rail forces through the accelerations on the axle box. | Jing Zeng Lai Wei Pingbo Wu | 2016 | Journal of Modern Transportation2016,24,2: | 6
Factors that associated with TB patient admission rate and TB inpatient service cost: a cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Background:China has recently adopted the“TB designated hospital model”to improve the quality of tuberculosis(TB)treatment and patient management.Considering that inpatient service often results in high patient financial burden, and therefore influences patient adherence to treatment,it is critical to better understand the TB patient admission rate and TB inpatient service cost,as well as their influential factors in this new model. Methods:Quantitative and qualitative studies were conducted in two cities,Hanzhong in Shaanxi Province and Zhenjiang in Jiangsu Province,in China.Quantitative data were obtained from a sample survey of 533 TB patients and TB inpatient records from 2010–2012 in six county designated hospitals.Qualitative information was obtained through interviews with key stakeholders(40 key informant interviews,14 focus group discussions)and reviews of health policy documents in study areas. Both univariate and multivariate statistical analyses were applied for the quantitative analysis, and the thematic framework approach was applied for the qualitative analysis. Results:The TB patient admission rates in Zhenjiang and Hanzhong were 54.8 and 55.9%,respectively.Qualitative analyses revealed that financial incentives, misunderstanding of infectious disease control and failure of health insurance regulations were the key factors associated with the admission rates and medical costs.Quantitative analyses found differences in hospitalization rate existed among patients with different health insurance and patients from different counties.Average medical costs for TB inpatients in Jurong and Zhenba were 7,215 CNY and 4,644 CNY,which was higher than the 5,500 CNY and 3,800 CNY limits set by the New Rural Cooperative Medical System. No differences in medical cost or length of stay were found between patients with and without comorbidities in county-level hospitals. Conclusions:TB patient admission rates and inpatient service costs were relatively high.Studies of related factors indicated that a package of interventions, including health education programs, reform of health insurance regulations and improvement of TB treatment guidelines, are urgently required to ensure that TB patients receive appropriate care. | Hongyan Hu Jiaying Chen Kaori DSato Yang Zhou Hui Jiang Pingbo Wu Hong Wang | 2016 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1: | 4
Metal-support interactions in designing noble metal-based catalysts for electrochemical CO_(2) reduction: Recent advances and future perspectives显示文摘Electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction (CO_(2) RR) offers a practical solution to current global greenhouse effect by converting excessive CO_(2) into value-added chemicals or fuels. Noble metal-based nanomaterials have been considered as efficient catalysts for the CO_(2) RR owing to their high catalytic activity, long-term stability and superior selectivity to targeted products. On the other hand, they are usually loaded on different support materials in order to minimize their usage and maximize the utilization because of high price and limited reserve. The strong metal-support interaction (MSI) between the metal and substrate plays an important role in affecting the CO_(2) RR performance. In this review, we mainly focus on different types of support materials (e.g., oxides, carbons, ligands, alloys and metal carbides) interacting with noble metal as electrocatalysts for CO_(2) RR. Moreover, the positive effects about MSI for boosting the CO_(2) RR performance via regulating the adsorption strength, electronic structure, coordination environment and binding energy are presented. Lastly, emerging challenges and future opportunities on noble metal electrocatalysts with strong MSI are discussed. | Zhao Li Rui Wu Lei Zhao Pingbo Li Xinxin Wei Junjie Wang Jun Song Chen Tierui Zhang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,11: | 4
Genetic architecture and key genes controlling the diversity of oil composition in rice grains显示文摘Rice grain oil is a valuable nutrient source. However, the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains remains unclear. In this study,we performed a genome-wide association study on oil composition and oil concentration in a diverse panel of 533 cultivated rice accessions.High variation for 11 oil-related traits was observed, and the oil composition of rice grains showed differentiation among the subpopulations. We identified 46 loci that are significantly associated with grain oil concentration or composition,16 of which were detected in three recombinant inbred line populations.Twenty-six candidate genes encoding enzymes involved in oil metabolism were identified from these 46 loci, four of which(PAL6,LIN6,MYR2,and ARA6)were found to contribute to natural variation in oil composition and to show differentiation among the subpopulations.Interestingly, population genetic analyses revealed that specific haplotypes of PAL6 and LIN6 have been selected in japonica rice.Based on these results,we propose a possible oil biosynthetic pathway in rice grains.Collectively, our results provide new insights into the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains and can facilitate marker-based breeding of rice varieties with enhanced oil and grain quality. | Hao Zhou Duo Xia Pingbo Li Yiting Ao Xiaodong Xu Shanshan Wan Yanhua Li Bian Wu Huan Shi Kaiyue Wang Guanjun Gao Qinglu Zhang Gongwei Wang Jinghua Xiao Xianghua Li Sibin Yu Xingming Lian Yuqing He | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,3: | 4
Comparative Study on the Complex Eigenvalue Prediction of Brake Squeal by Two Infinite Element Modeling Approaches显示文摘The complex eigenvalue analysis is currently a common approach to predict squealing vibration and noise. There are two methods for modeling friction contact in the complex eigenvalue analysis of friction systems. In one method, contact springs are used to simulate friction contact. In another method, no contact spring is used. However, it has been uncertain whether these two modeling methods can predict approximately identical results. In order to clarify the uncertainty, two finite element models of the same brake system for the brake squeal prediction are established and simulated by using ABAQUS and NASTRAN software tools, respectively. In the ABAQUS model, friction coupling is applied to determine normal contact force and no contact spring is assumed. Whilst in the NASTRAN model, the contact spring is assumed by the penalty method to simulate contact connection. Through the numerical simulations, it is recognized that even if the same mesh geometry is applied, generally, these two finite element approaches are not capable of predicting approximately identical unstable frequencies. The ABAQUS approach can predict instabilities of high frequency up to 20 kHz or more, while the NASTRAN approach can only predict some instabilities of high frequency, not all. Moreover, the simulation results also show that both the contact spring stiffness and mesh size have influences to some extent on the prediction results of squeal. The present comparative work illuminates that the modeling method without contact springs is more suitable to predict squealing vibration and noise, comparing to the modeling method with contact springs. It is proposed that one should prefer using the modeling method without contact springs to predict squealing vibration and noise. The proposed study provides the reference for predicting squealing vibration and noise. | CHEN Guangxlong WU Pingbo DAI Huanyun ZHOU Zhongrong | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,3: | 3
