2Effects of Sm_(2)O_(3) addition on sintering behavior of pre-synthesized magnesia-rich magnesium aluminate spinel显示文摘The effects of Sm_(2) O_(3) as an additive on the densification of a pre-synthesized magnesia-rich spinel were investigated.The sintering behavior of the material was characterized by analyzing its dilatometric characteristics,linear shrinkage,bulk density,apparent porosity,phase structure,and micro structure.Moreover,the cold modulus of rupture(CMOR) and microhardness of the spinel were measured.The results show that samarium oxide reacts with the spinel to form SmAlO_(3)(a rare-earth aluminate) to improve the sintering performance and mechanical properties of the spinel. The formation of magnesite phases decreases the rupture strength of the spinel.However,this MgO phase is inlaid in spinel grains boundary,has a pinning effect which can improve the sinterability of the spinel.Zhenghuang Quan Zhoufu Wang Xitang Wang Hao Liu Yan Ma 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,11:3
3SiAlON Bonded Corundum or SiC Composites Synthesized in Different Atmospheres显示文摘Using corundum powder,SiC powder,Si3N4 powder,α-Al2O3 micropowder and metal Al powder as starting materials,PVA as binder,after ball milling,mixing,aging,moulding and drying,SiAlON bonded corundum or SiC composites were synthesized at 1 600 ℃ for 6 h in air,graphite embedded condition and(graphite+SiC)embedded condition,respectively.Effects of corundum or SiC powder additions(the mass percent was 7.5%-90%)and sintering atmosphere on forming amount and appearance of SiAlON phase,phase composition,microstructure and properties of the composites were studied.The results show that:(1)with corundum powder addition increasing,density and sintering property of SiAlON bonded corundum composites fired in three different conditions all improve,but the sintering property of the specimens fired in oxidation atmosphere is better than that in reduction atmosphere;(2)the main phases of SiAlON bonded corundum composites fired in two reduction atmospheres are corundum,SiAlON and SiC.The specimens fired in oxidation atmosphere have lamination phenomenon,the main phases of non-oxidation layer are SiAlON,corundum and a little mullite;(3)column-like or fiber-like SiAlON forms in SiAlON bonded corundum composites fired in two different atmospheres.Column-like SiAlON forms in oxidation atmosphere grows better than in reduction atmosphere;(4)with SiC powder addition increasing,density and sintering property of SiAlON bonded SiC composites fired in two reduction atmospheres both reduce.The specimens fired in oxidation atmosphere are oxidized and thicker glaze layer forms.TAN Qinghua WANG Xitang 2010China's Refractories2010,19,1:2
4Structure and Properties of CaO-MgO-SiO_2 Inorganic Glass Fiber with Additives (Al_2O_3,Y_2O_3)显示文摘Structure, crystallization and dissolution properties of CaO-MgO-SiO2 inorganic glass fiber in the presence of additives (Al2O3, Y2O3) were investigated by DTA, XRD, FTIR and ICP-AES techniques. The results show that with the addition of Al2O3 and Y2O3, the glass network structure is strengthened and the precipitation of crystals is inhibited for heat-treated fibers. Compared with Y2O3 doped fibers, Al2O3 presents more significant effects on the enhancement of silica network and the inhibition of crystallization in fibers. 7Microstructural regulation and properties enhancement of MgO-CaO ceramics by doping Y_(2)O_(3)显示文摘MgO-CaO ceramics with enhanced microhardness and hydration resistance were successfully prepared by doping Y_(2)O_(3) in this work.The effects of introducing Y_(2)O_(3) on the microstructure and properties of MgO-CaO ceramics were investigated.The microstructural regulation effects of Y_(2)O_(3) additive on MgO,CaO,and MgO-CaO ceramics were analyzed comparatively.The results show that Y_(2)O_(3) dissolves into the CaO lattice to form solid solution in CaO ceramics,and no obvious intergranular phase forms.While the Y_(2)O_(3) additive leads to the micro structural reconstruction in MgO and MgO-CaO ceramics.By adding Y_(2)O_(3),SiO_(2) impurity from magnesium source reacts with CaO to form the silicate phases containing Y^(3+)ions in MgO-CaO ceramics.The increase in the MgO/CaO interface and the microstructural reconstruction synergistically improves the microhardness and hydration resistance of MgO-CaO ceramics markedly.Nian Yi Yan Ma Zhoufu Wang Hao Liu Xitang Wang Yunjie Dong Zhongfeng Xia Yuxuan Zhu Chengji Deng 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,11:1
8Research on Corrosion Resistance of Checker Bricks in Regenerators of Glass Furnaces显示文摘To extend the service life of the upper checker bricks in the regenerator of glass furnaces with petroleum coke as fuel,the corrosion resistance of magnesia-chrome and alumina-chrome bricks with the similar apparent porosity was systematically researched.The results show that the Cr2O3 content and the microstructure present significant effects on the corrosion resistance.The molten corrosion reagent forms silicate and vanadate phases with low melting points between MgO crystals in magnesia-chrome bricks,and the volume strain generated by the melting and solidification process leads to the cracking and spalling of refractories,which intensifies the corrosion process.The encapsulation of alumina particles by alumina-chrome solid solutions in alumina-chrome bricks avoids contact with the low melting point liquid phases and improves the corrosion resistance of refractories.AN Yi LIU Hao WANG Zhoufu MA Yan WANG Xitang 2023China's Refractories2023,32,1:0
9Effects of Two Step Calcination Process on Reaction Sintering Properties of Cordierite Materials显示文摘Cordierite materials were synthesized using natural mineral materials via the two step calcination process.The phase composition and microstructure of the specimens were analysized by X-ray diffraction( XRD) and scanning electron microscopy( SEM),respectively. The sintering properties of cordierite materials were also characterized. The effect of two step calcination process on the reaction sintering properties of cordierite materials was investigated. The results show that the two step calcination process can significantly increase the reaction sintering properties of the cordierite materials. When the weight ratio of the presynthesized cordierite to the premixed raw mineral materials is 2 1,the cordierite materials obtained by the two step calcination process have the higher bulk density and the lower apparent porosity( 2. 18 g·cm-3and 13. 85%,respectively). 10In-situ Formation of SiC Whiskers by Ni-catalyzed Silicon-modified Pitch and Its Mechanism显示文摘The pitch was dried and modified with 1 mass%nickel nitrate and 10 mass% Si powder successively,then carbonized in Ar atmosphere at 900,1 000,1 100,1 200,1 300,and 1 400 ℃,respectively. Effects of carbonization temperature on phase composition and microstructure of Ni-catalyzed silicon modified pitch were studied by XRD,FESEM and EDS,and the growth mechanism of Si C whiskers was discussed as well. 11Effect of TiO_2 Sol Impregnation on Biogenic Hierarchical Porous Structure of Rice Husk after High Temperature Treatment显示文摘Biogenic hierarchical porous rice husk SiO 2samples were prepared from pre-treating rice husk( RH) at low temperatures following TiO 2sol impregnation and pyrolysis process. The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive spectrometer. 12Effect of Y_2O_3 Addition on Sintering Properties and Microstructure of Spinel Materials显示文摘The effect of Y_2O_3 addition on the sintering properties and microstructure of spinel was investigated using alumina-rich spinel as the raw material. The phase constitution and microstructure of the specimens were characterized by XRD and SEM,and the pore structure of the specimens was measured by a mercury porosimeter. The results indicate that a viscous melt forms wrapping around spinel crystals by adding a little Y_2O_3 powders(1 mass%),yttrium alumina garnet will crystallize around spinel crystals by adding more Y_2O_3 powders( ≥3 mass%); the sintering properties of the spinel are significantly improved by adding Y_2O_3 powders less than 3 mass%,while they will be relatively weakened by adding Y_2O_3 powders more than 3 mass%.LIU Jiangbo WANG Zhoufu LIU Hao WANG Xitang MA Yan 2018China's Refractories2018,27,1:0
13Effect of Al Powder and Si Powder Additions on Structure and Properties of Unburned Magnesium Aluminate Spinel Refractories显示文摘Unburned magnesium aluminate spinel refractories were prepared using sintered magnesium aluminate spinel as the main raw material,phenolic resin as the binder,aluminum powder(2%,4%,and 6%by mass)and silicon powder(when Al powder addition is 4%,Si powder addition varies:1%and 2%,by mass)as additives.The effects of the Al powder and Si powder additions on the properties and microstructure of the refractories heat treated at different temperatures(1000,1400,and 1600℃for 3 h)were studied.The results show that the Al powder addition can greatly enhance the cold modulus of rupture of the samples fired at 1000 or 1400℃,and meanwhile AlN reinforcement phase forms in the matrix,which greatly improves the hot modulus of rupture of the samples at 1400℃;however,the heat treatment at 1600℃has little influence on the strength;the addition of Al powder and Si powder results in the formation of low melting point phases,greatly reducing the hot modulus of rupture.However,the low melting point phases promote sintering,which enhances the density and the cold modulus of rupture,and decreases the volume change during heating.The samples added with Al and Si all have higher cold modulus of rupture than those added with Al powder only.ZHOU Lianzhuo WANG Zhoufu WANG Xitang LIU Hao MA Yan QUAN Zhenghuang 2023China's Refractories2023,32,3:0
