| 1 | Effective Removal of Tetracycline by Using Biochar Supported Fe3O4 as a UV-Fenton Catalyst显示文摘Novel Fe3O4-decorate hierarchical porous carbon skeleton derived from maize straw(Fe3O4@MSC)was synthesized by a facile co-precipitation process and a calcination process,which was developed as a UV assisted heterogeneous Fenton-like catalyst.The as-synthesized catalysts were characterized via X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM),Brunauer-Emmet-Teller(BET)and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)at room temperature.The morphology and structure analysis revealed that the as-prepared Fe3O4@MSC retained the original pore morphology of the maize straw material.The non-uniform poly- hedral Fe3O4 grew on the whole surface of the MSC,which reduced the aggragation of Fe3O4 and provided more active sites to strengthen the UV-assisted Fenton-like reaction.As a result,the tetracycline(TC)degradation efficiency after 40 min reaction and total organic carbon(TOC)removal efficiency after 2 h reaction of Fe3O4@MSC catalyzing UV-Fenton system reached 99.2%and 72.1%,respectively,which were more substantial than those of Fe3O4@MSC/H2O2(31.5%and 2%),UV/H2O2 system(68%and 23.4%)and UV/Fe3O4/H2O2(80% and 37.5%).The electron spin resonance(ESR)results showed that the ·OH played an important role in the catalytic reaction.A possible degradation pathway of TC was proposed on the basis of the identified intermediates.Overall,the UV assisted heterogeneous Fenton-like process in Fe3O4@MSC improved the cycle of Fe^3+/Fe^2+ and activated the interfacial catalytic site,which eventually realized the enhancement of degradation and mineralization to tetracycline. | YU Xiaodan LIN Xinchen LI Weiguang FENG Wei | 2019 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2019,35,1: | 3 |

| 8 | Adding Chinese herbal medicine to probiotics for irritable bowel syndrome-diarrhea:A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘Objective:This study assessed whether Chinese herbal medicine(CHM)combined with probiotics/synbiotics for irritable bowel syndrome-diarrhea(IBS-D)was more effective and safer than probiotics/synbiotics alone.Methods:Ten databases were searched for randomized control trials(RCTs)of IBS-D as diagnosed by Manning or Rome criteria.Trials comparing probiotics and probiotics with CHM were included.The Cochrane risk of bias(ROB)was evaluated for each trial.RevMan 5.3 was used to conduct a meta-analysis.Results:Twenty-six RCTs were included(25 Chinese,1 English),involving 2045 participants.Metaanalysis was conducted on two outcomes:overall symptom improvement and relapse.CHM combined with live Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus preparations reduced relapse rate(RR 0.28,95%CI 0.15e0.52,3 trials,n?205)compared with probiotics alone.The subgroup analysis showed the benefit of CHM prescriptions based on soothing liver and invigorating spleen(1.28,1.14e1.44,3,244),invigorating spleen and resolving dampness(1.20,1.03e1.41,2,128),or warming and invigorating spleen and kidney formulae(1.27,1.09e1.46,2,210)combined with triple Bifidobacterium preparations than the same probiotics alone which improved overall symptoms for IBS-D.There was unclear bias in almost domains of ROB.Most studies had a high risk of bias due to lack of blinding of investigator and participants,and selective reporting.Conclusions:This study showed that CHM combined with probiotics may reduce relapse rate by 72%,and improve overall symptoms of IBS-D(as diagnosed by Rome II and III)compared to probiotics alone.From the limited subgroup analysis,only soothing liver and invigorating spleen formulae,represented by Tongxie Yaofang,added to triple Bifidobacterium preparations may be superior to the single preparations in terms of overall symptoms.However,due to the poor methodological quality and small sample size of the trials,these findings must be interpreted with caution. | Fanlong Bu Weiguang Wang Ruilin Chen Ziyi Lin Mei Han Nicola Robinson Xuehan Liu Chunli Lu Jianping Liu | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1: | 0 |

| 10 | Multiple unpinned Dirac points in group-Va single-layers with phosphorene structure显示文摘Emergent Dirac fermion states underlie many intriguing properties of graphene,and the search for them constitutes one strong motivation to explore two-dimensional(2D)allotropes of other elements.Phosphorene,the ultrathin layers of black phosphorous,has been a subject of intense investigations recently,and it was found that other group-Va elements could also form 2D layers with similar puckered lattice structure.Here,by a close examination of their electronic band structure evolution,we discover two types of Dirac fermion states emerging in the low-energy spectrum.One pair of(type-I)Dirac points is sitting on high-symmetry lines,while two pairs of(type-II)Dirac points are located at generic k-points,with different anisotropic dispersions determined by the reduced symmetries at their locations.Such fully-unpinned(type-II)2D Dirac points are discovered for the first time.In the absence of spin-orbit coupling(SOC),we find that each Dirac node is protected by the sublattice symmetry from gap opening,which is in turn ensured by any one of three point group symmetries.The SOC generally gaps the Dirac nodes,and for the type-I case,this drives the system into a quantum spin Hall insulator phase.We suggest possible ways to realise the unpinned Dirac points in strained phosphorene. | Yunhao Lu Di Zhou Guoqing Chang Shan Guan Weiguang Chen Yinzhu Jiang Jianzhong Jiang Xue-sen Wang Shengyuan A Yang Yuan Ping Feng Yoshiyuki Kawazoe Hsin Lin | 2016 | npj Computational Materials2016,,1: | 0 |
| 11 | Effects of persulfate-assisted hydrothermal treatment of municipal sludge on aqueous phase characteristics and phytotoxicity显示文摘Hydrothermal technology (HT) has received much attention in recent years as a process to convert wet organic waste into hydrochar.The aqueous phase (HTAP) produced by this process is still a burden and has become a bottleneck issue for HT process development.In this study,we provide the?rst investigation of the HTAP characteristics,phytotoxicity,and their correlation with persulfate (PS)(PS,2.0 mmol/g TS)-assisted municipal sludge HT.The results showed that PS accelerated the hydrolysis of protein substances and increased the concentration of NH_(4)^(+)by 13.4%to 190.5%and that of PO_(4)^(3-)by 24.2%to 1103.7%in HTAP at hydrothermal temperatures of 120 to 240℃.PS can reduce the phytotoxicity of HTAP by reducing aldehydes,ketones,N heterocyclic compounds,and particle size and by increasing its humi?cation index.The maximum values of the root length and biomass of pakchoi(Brassica chinensis L.) seedlings occurred when electrical conductivity was 0.2 mS/cm of HTAP.This work provided a new strategy for the selection and design of HTAP management strategies. | Guangchun Shan Weiguang Li Yujie Zhou Shanshan Bao Lin Zhu Wenbing Tan | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 0 |
