| 1 | An analysis of the spatial and temporal changes in Chinese terrestrial ecosystem service functions显示文摘Since Westman(1977) and Ehrlich(1982) put forward the concepts of 'the service of nature' and 'ecosystem service functions',respectively,methods for conducting value accounting for them,and their practical application have become the subjects of intense study.Based on an overview of available research findings,we discuss three scientific hypotheses.First,the terrestrial ecosystem offers both positive and negative service functions.Second,changes in terrestrial ecosystem service functions lie not only in the number of ecosystem types and the coverage area of each type,but also in their quality.Third,the value of terrestrial ecosystem service functions should be assessed both in terms of the value stocked and the value added.We collected land use data from China during the period 1999-2008,and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index data based on remote sensing images from the Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies for the same period.We then calculated and analyzed spatial and temporal changes in China's terrestrial ecosystem service values over the 10-year period.Considering temporal change,the total value(stocked) of China's terrestrial ecosystem service functions decreased from 6.82 trillion Yuan RMB in 1999 to 6.57 trillion Yuan RMB in 2008.During that period,the positive value decreased by 240.17 billion Yuan RMB and the negative value increased by 8.85 billion Yuan RMB.The decrease in total value lies mainly in the humidity control,soil formation,and waste recycling functions.The total value(added) of China's terrestrial ecosystem service functions increased by 4.31 billion Yuan RMB in 2000,but decreased by 0.13 billion Yuan RMB in 2008(based on the constant price of China in 1999).The value(added) was a negative figure.From the perspective of spatial change,we can see that the supply of China's terrestrial ecosystem service functions fell slightly over the past 10 years,mainly in Northeast and Southern China.As a result of human activities on ecosystems,the loss of ecosystem service functions' value was relatively prominent in Shanxi and Gansu provinces,compared with an increase in value in Shaanxi Province.Terrestrial ecosystem service functions' value per unit area was relatively high in mid-and East China,showing a prominent spatial change over the 10-year period,but low in Western China.Some conclusions are drawn after an in-depth analysis of the factors causing the spatial and temporal changes in China's terrestrial ecosystem service functions,in the hope that our suggestions will be helpful for the management of China's terrestrial ecosystems. | SHI Yao WANG RuSong HUANG JinLou YANG WenRui | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17: | 39 |
| 2 | Major element,trace element,and Sr,Nd and Pb iso-tope studies of Cenozoic basalts from the South China Sea显示文摘The whole rock K-Ar ages of basalts from the South China Sea basin vary from 3.8 to 7.9 Ma, which suggest that intra-plate volcanism after the cessation of spreading of the South China Sea (SCS) is comparable to that in adjacent regions around the SCS, i.e., Leiqiong Peninsula, northern margin of the SCS, Indochina block, and so on. Based on detailed petrographic studies, we selected many fresh ba-saltic rocks and measured their major element, trace element, and Sr-Nd-Pb isotope compositions. Geochemical characteristics of major element and trace element show that these basaltic rocks belong to alkali basalt magma series, and are similar to OIB-type basalt. The extent of partial melting of mantle rock in source region is very low, and magma may experience crystallization differentiation and cu-mulation during the ascent to or storing in the high-level magma chamber. Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic data of these basaltic rocks imply an inhomogeneous mantle below the South China Sea. The nature of magma origin has a two end-member mixing model, one is EM2 (Enriched Mantle 2) which may be originated from mantle plume, the other is DMM (Depleted MORB Mantle). Pb isotopic characteristics show the Dupal anomaly in the South China Sea, and combined with newly found Dupal anomaly at Gakkel ridge in Arctic Ocean, this implies that Dupal anomaly is not only limited to South Hemisphere. In variation diagrams among Sr, Nd and Pb, the origin nature of mantle below the SCS is similar to those below Leiqiong peninsula, northern margin of the SCS and Indochina peninsula, and is different from those below north and northeast China. | 3 | Effects of Bacillus coagulans supplementation on the growth performance and gut health of broiler chickens with Clostridium perfringens-induced necrotic enteritis显示文摘Background: The poultry industry is in need of effective antibiotic alternatives to control outbreaks of necrotic enteritis(NE) due to Clostridium perfringens.Methods: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of feeding Bacil us coagulans on the growth performance and gut health of broiler chickens with C. perfringens-induced NE. Two hundred and forty 1-day-old broiler chicks were randomly assigned to a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement with two dietary B. coagulans levels(0 or 4 × 109 CFU/kg of diet) and two disease chal enge statuses(control or NE chal enged).Results: NE-induced reduction in body weight gain was relieved by the addition of B. coagulans into broiler diets compared with the NE-infected birds. NE infection damaged intestinal morphological structure, promoted intestinal C.perfringens growth and liver invasion, and enhanced anti-C. perfringens specific sI gA concentrations in the gut and specific IgG levels in serum compared with the uninfected birds. NE infection significantly(P < 0.05) decreased mucin-2(at 14 d post-infection(DPI), tol-like receptor 2(TLR2, at 7 and 14 DPI), TLR4(at 7 and 14 DPI), tumor necrosis factor super family15(TNFSF15, at 7 and 14 DPI), lysozyme(LYZ, at 14 DPI) and fowlicidin-2(at 7 and 14 DPI) mR NA levels, whereas it dramatical y(P = 0.001) increased IFN-γ mR NA levels at 7 DPI. However, chal enged birds fed diets supplemented with B.coagulans showed a significant(P < 0.01) decrease in gut lesion scores, decreased C. perfringens numbers in the cecum and liver, and an increase in fowlicidin-2 mR NA levels in compared with the uninfected birds. | 4 | Distribution and health risk assessment of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) in industrial site soils:A case study of urban renewal in Beijing,China显示文摘A field survey was conducted in a contaminated industrial site of southern Beijing,China to investigate the contents and distribution of the organochlorine pesticides(α-,β-,γ-,δ-HCH,p,p-DDT,p,p-DDE,p,p-DDD and o,p-DDT) in the profiles of soil,and a health risk assessment was carried out with CalTOX multimedia exposure model.Results showed that mean concentrations of total hexachlorocyclohexane isomers(HCHs) and total dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane isomers(DDXs) in soils were in the range of 13.20-148.71 mg/kg,and 3.02-67.43 mg/kg,respectively.Organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) content peaked in the surface and declined in soil profile with depth.The amounts of HCHs in three profiles of soil were larger than DDXs.Composition analysis indicated that there was a trend of degradation of OCPs in the site,but the mean of HCHs and DDXs concentration were over the state warning standard limit(HCHs,0.50 mg/kg;DDXs,0.50 mg/kg).According to current land use development,health risk assessment with CalTOX and Monte Carlo analysis showed that health risks mainly came from two exposure pathways:dermal uptake and inhalation,and the total risk values all exceeded the general acceptable health risk value(10-6).The sensitivity analysis indicated that five parameters significantly contributed to total risk. | YANG Wenrui,WANG Rusong,ZHOU Chuanbin,LI FengState key laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology,Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100085,China. | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,3: | 14 |

| 9 | Preparation of cross-linked magnetic chitosan with quaternary ammonium and its application for Cr(Ⅵ) and P(Ⅴ) removal显示文摘Pollutants that exist in anionic species are issues of concern in water treatment.Compared to cationic pollutants,the removal of anionic pollutants by adsorption is more difficult because most adsorbents carry predominantly negative charges in neutral and alkaline environments.In this study,a cross-linked chitosan derivative with quaternary ammonium and magnetic properties(QM-chitosan)was prepared and employed to remove chromium(VI)and phosphorus(V)(Cr(VI)and P(V))from aqueous environments.The QM-chitosan was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FT-IR),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),energy dispersive X-ray(SEM-EDX)and zeta potential.Batch experiments show that QM-chitosan can effectively remove Cr(VI)and P(V),and the main mechanism was believed to be electrostatic interaction.A pseudosecond-order model was fitted to describe the kinetic processes of Cr(VI)and P(V)removal.The adsorption isotherms of both Cr(VI)and P(V)on the QM-chitosan were well fitted by the Langmuir isotherm equation.The saturated adsorption capacity of P(V)(2.783 mmol/g)was found to be higher than that of Cr(VI)(2.323 mmol/g),resulting from the size of the H2PO-4ions being smaller than that of the HCr O-4ions.However,the theoretical calculation and experimental results showed that QM-chitosan had a stronger affinity for Cr(VI)than P(V).The adsorption–desorption of the QM-chitosan was evaluated,and high regeneration rates were demonstrated. | Wei Yao Pinhua Rao Irene M.C.Lo Wenqi Zhang Wenrui Zheng | 2014 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,12: | 9 |
| 10 | Increased function of the TRPV1 channel in small sensory neurons after local inflammation or in vitro exposure to the pro-inflammatory cytokine GRO/KC显示文摘Objective Inflammation at the level of the sensory dorsal root ganglia (DRGs) leads to robust mechanical pain behavior and the local inflammation has direct excitatory effects on sensory neurons including small, primarily nociceptive, neurons. These neurons express the transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1) channel, which integrates multiple signals of pain and inflammation. The aim of this study was to characterize the regulation of the TRPV1 channel by local DRG inflammation and by growth-related oncogene (GRO/KC, systemic name: CXCL1), a cytokine known to be upregulated in inflamed DRGs. Methods Activation of the TRPV1 receptor with capsaicin was studied with patch clamp methods in acutely isolated small-diameter rat sensory neurons in primary culture. In vivo, behavioral effects of TRPV1 and GRO/KC were examined by paw injections. Results Neurons isolated from lumbar DRGs 3 days after local inflammation showed enhanced TRPV1 function: tachyphylaxis (the decline in response to repeated applications of capsaicin) was significantly reduced. A similar effect on tachyphylaxis was observed in neurons pre-treated for 4 h in vitro with GRO/KC. This effect was blocked by H-89, a protein kinase A inhibitor. Consistent with the in vitro results, in vivo behavioral responses to paw injection of capsaicin were enhanced and prolonged by pre-injecting the paw with GRO/KC 4 h before the capsaicin injection. GRO/KC paw injections alone did not elicit pain behaviors. Conclusion Function of the TRPV1 channel is enhanced by DRG inflammation and these effects are preserved in vitro during short-term culture. | 12 | Image Smearing Modeling and Verification for Strapdown Star Sensor显示文摘To further extend study on celestial attitude determination with strapdown star sensor from static into dynamic field, one prerequisite is to generate precise dynamic simulating star maps. First a neat analytical solution of the smearing trajectory caused by spacecraft attitude maneuver is deduced successfully, whose parameters cover the geometric size of optics, three-axis angular velocities and CCD integral time. Then for the first time the mathematical law and method are discovered about how to synthesize the two formulae of smearing trajectory and the static Gaussian distribution function (GDF) model, the key of which is a line integral with regard to the static GDF attenuated by a factor 1/ L s (L s is the arc length of the smearing trajectory) along the smearing trajectory. The dynamic smearing model is then obtained, also in an analytical form. After that, three sets of typical simulating maps and data are simulated from this dynamic model manifesting the expected smearing effects, also compatible with the linear model as its special case of no boresight rotation. Finally, model validity tests on a rate turntable are carried out, which results in a mean correlation coefficient 0.920 0 between the camera images and the corresponding model simulated ones with the same parameters. The sufficient similarity verifies the validity of the dynamic smearing model. | 15 | Incidence and mortality of corpus uteri cancer in China,2008-2012显示文摘Objective: To analyze the incidence and mortality rates of corpus uteri cancer in China using 2008-2012 data from the National Central Cancer Registry(NCCR) of China.Methods: We analyzed 2008-2012 data from 135 cancer registries using NCCR screening methods and criteria.The Chinese standard population in 2000 and Segi’s world population were applied to determine age-standardized incidence and mortality rates. The annual percentage change(APC) in rate was calculated using the Joinpoint Regression Program.Results: The crude incidence of corpus uteri cancer was 9.58/100,000, making corpus uteri cancer the ninth most common malignancy in females. The crude mortality was 2.97/100,000, making corpus uteri cancer the 13 th leading cause of death from malignant tumors in females. The incidence was higher in urban than in rural areas, but the mortality was higher in rural than in urban areas. The crude incidence was higher in eastern areas than in middle and western areas, while the crude mortality was higher in middle areas than in eastern and western areas.During 2003-2012, the age-standardized incidence rate based on the Chinese standard population in 2000(ASIRC)with uterine cancer increased significantly by 3.0% annually, while the age-standardized mortality rate based on the Chinese standard population in 2000(ASMRC) decreased by 0.4% annually, but the decrease was not statistically significant. The APC in incidence rate in the age groups of 30-44 years was 4.2%, which was statistically significant;increases/decreases in other age groups were not statistically significant. From 2003 to 2004, the age groups of 60-74 years showed high incidence, while from 2005 to 2012, the age groups of 45-59 years had high incidence.Conclusions: The incidence and mortality rates of corpus uteri cancer in China from 2008 to 2012 were relatively low compared with other countries. | 18 | Effects of electroacupuncture at Taichong(LR 3) and Baihui(DU 20)on cardiac hypertrophy in rats with spontaneous hypertension显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture(EA) at Taichong(LR 3) and Baihui(DU 20)on myocardial hypertrophy in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHRs).METHODS: Thirty-six SHRs were randomly assigned to model, EA, and Losartan groups, with twelve rats per group. Twelve Wistar Kyoto rats were selected as the normal control group. Systolic blood pressure(SBP) and cardiac function were measured in all rats.Expression levels of factors associated with the phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin(PI3K/Akt/mTOR) pathway were evaluated by Western blotting and real-time PCR.Pathological changes of the heart tissue were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining.RESULTS: After treatment, enhanced SBP was significantly decreased in the EA and Losartan groups compared with the model group(P < 0.01). Echocardiographic and morphological analyses revealed that enhanced end-diastolic interventricular septal thickness and left ventricular posterior wall thickness, as well as ratio of left ventricular weight to body weight were markedly diminished in the EA and Losartan groups(P < 0.01 or P < 0.05), while reduced left ventricular end-diastolic dimension and left ventricular ejection fraction were significantly ameliorated(P < 0.01). | 19 | 基于GEV分布模型参数与历时关系的暴雨强度公式推求显示文摘国内现常用的暴雨强度公式一般基于对数Pearson-Ⅲ概率分布模型和Gumbel概率分布模型,采用经验Horner公式推求。该方法具有参数推求复杂,无确定解释解,并且存在非常大的不确定性。将GEV概率分布模型引入到东莞市城区年最大降雨强度频率分析中,并与对数Pearson-Ⅲ概率分布模型和Gumbel概率分布模型进行了比较,通过拟合优度检验,确定GEV概率分布模型优于上述2种分布模型。然后,利用GEV分布模型参数与历时关系推导出一种新型的暴雨强度公式,并与经验Horner公式法进行了比较。结果显示,本文方法对观测数据的拟合效果更好,并且参数易推求,推导的暴雨强度公式具有更高的确定性和鲁棒性。 | 周浩澜 陈洋波 徐会军 HUANG Wenrui | 2012 | 四川大学学报(工程科学版)2012,,S1: | 6 |
| 20 | Selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia to nitrogen over orderly mesoporous CuFe_2O_4 with high specific surface area显示文摘Orderly mesoporous CuFe2O4spinel-type mixed oxide with high specific surface area was prepared successfully by a hard-template method in which KIT-6mesoporous silica was selected as the hard template.The KIT-6 hard template and CuFe2O4samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray fluorescence,transmission electron microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,nitrogen physisorption,and hydrogen-temperature programmed reduction.The KIT-6 hard template had perfect crystallization and ordered mesoporous structure with a probable pore distribution of about 9.1 nm,large enough to be filled by the spinel precursor.The mesoporous CuFe2O4spinel oxide synthesized inside the KIT-6 mesopores had a relatively small pore size(4.3 nm),orderly arrangement,and high specific area(194 m2/g).The catalytic activity of the mesoporous CuFe2O4was tested for the selective oxidation of ammonia to nitrogen.The conversion of ammonia reached nearly 100%at 300°C with a nitrogen selectivity as high as 96%.The nitrogen selectivity remained high with increasing temperature and even maintained a value of80%at 600°C. | Wenrui Yue Runduo Zhang Ning Liu Biaohua Chen | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,31: | 6 |
