| 1 | Microwave sintered porous CoCrFeNiMo high entropy alloy as an efficient electrocatalyst for alkaline oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Developing efficient,stable and economical electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a significant pathway to produce clean energy from water splitting.Herein,the promising and highly efficient porous CoCrFeNiMo high entropy alloys(HEAs)were prepared by microwave sintering using Mg space holder.Owing to unique properties of high entropy alloys and abundant active surface area,the porous CoCrFeNiMo-20 Mg exhibits excellent catalytic performance and prominent electrochemical stability with a low overpotential of 220 mV to reach current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),a small Tafel slope of 59.0 mV dec^(-1) and long-term durability for 24 h in 1.0 M KOH.The results of microstructure and element states indicate that crystal defects,porous structure and villous hydroxides are the reasons for high OER performance of the CoCrFeNiMo.This work not only provides a new way to prepare electrocatalysts,but also proves the important application of high entropy alloys in functional materials. | J.Tang J.L.Xu Z.G.Ye X.B.Li J.M.Luo | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20: | 5 |
| 2 | Solidification pathway and phase transformation behavior in a beta-solidified gamma-TiAl based alloy显示文摘The phase transformation behavior of an as-cast Ti-42Al-5 Mn(at.%)alloy after subsequent quenching from 1380℃to 1000℃was investigated based on the differential thermal analysis(DTA),electron probe micro analyzer-backscattered electrons(EPMA-BSE),transmission electron microscope(TEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that,the solidification path can be summarized as follows:Liquid→Liquid+β→β→β→α→β+α+γ→βo+α2+γ→βo+γ+α2/γ→βo+γ+α2/γ+βo,sec,with the phase transformationα→βtemperature(Tβ)=1311℃,phase transformationγ→βtemperature of(Tγsolv)=1231℃,phase transformationα2→αorβo→βtemperature(Tα2→α/Tβo→β)=1168 C,eutectoid temperature(Teut)=1132℃and T(α2/γ→βo,sec)≈1120℃.In comparison with Ti-42 Al alloy,the Teut and Tγsolv are slightly increased while both the Tp is decreased obviously by 5%Mn addition.When quenched from the temperature of 1380-1260℃,the martensitic transformationβ→α'could occur to form the needlelike martensite structure inβarea.This kind of martensitic structure is much obvious with the increase of temperature from 1260℃to 1380℃.When the temperature is below Tγsolv(1231℃),theγgrains would nucleate directly from theβphase.For the temperature slightly lower than T(eut)(1132℃),the dottedβ(o,sec)phases could nucleate in the lamellar colonies besides theγlamellae precipitated withinα2 phase.Finally,at room-temperature(RT),the alloy exhibits(po+α2+γ)triple phase with microstructure ofβo+lamellae+γ,of which the lamellar structure consists ofα2,γandβo,sec phases.The phase transformation mechanisms in this alloy,involvingβ→α',β→γ,α2→α2/γandα2→βo,sec were discussed. | H.Xu X.B.Li W.W.Xing L.Shu Y.C.Ma K.Liu | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,11: | 2 |
| 3 | Determinations of strategy responding to COVID-19显示文摘This study explores what determines the selection of strategies by governments responding to COVID-19.To answer the question,we propose concepts of individual utility and societal utility and build a simple model.By applying the model,we predict that countries with an individualist culture would adopt more passive strategies while countries with a collectivist culture would adopt more active strategies.The comparison between strategies adopted in China and in the United Kingdom supports the prediction.Furthermore,as the spread of COVID-19 virus continues,governments’response may change and individualist countries may switch to more active strategies.So we extend our model to incorporate the dynamics of strategy selection,and explain the switch between passive and active strategies.We then predict in particular that facing the unexpected infections and deaths,the countries with an individualist culture would temporally adopt a relatively more active strategy responding to COVID-19.The evidence from Spain shows the dynamic feature of strategy selection as predicted by our model. | Wilson X.B.Li Tina T.He | 2021 | Economic and Political Studies2021,9,2: | 0 |
| 4 | Government involvement in banking systems and economic growth:a comparison across countries显示文摘This study investigates 92 countries of different legal origins,including 25 English origin,44 French origin,11 Scandinavian and German origin,and 12 socialist origin countries.Compared to other countries,China has the highest government ownership of banks,and lies in the middle in terms of official supervisory power over banks,and government efficiency in governance.As regards economic development measured by per capita GDP growth,in the period from 1995 to 2015,China performed significantly better than all the other countries in the sample–countries varying in legal origin,government ownership of banks,level of economic and financial development,supervisory power over banks,and government efficiency.The findings are robust when we examine the country-years with similar per capita GDP as that of China.The regression results show that in some circumstances,higher government ownership of banks is associated with higher economic growth and the positive association is more significant in socialist origin countries.Further discussions suggest that the high government involvement in commercial banks fits in well with the unique characteristics of China–such as a large population,underdeveloped economy,imbalance in resources and development in different areas,as well as the utmost trust placed on the Chinese government and government owned banks–thus may benefit economic growth. | Wilson X.B.Li Tina T.He Stella P.L.Cho | 2019 | Economic and Political Studies2019,7,1: | 0 |
