| 1 | Dynamic changes in cerebral microcirculation and hypoxia in the early stages of diffuse axonal injury显示文摘This study demonstrated that damage to the cerebral microvasculature,the formation of microthrombi and swelling of vascular endothelial cells occur early and peak 12 hours after injury in a rat model of diffuse axonal injury.Moreover,these pathological changes were most evident in the cerebral cortex.Cerebral microcirculatory dysfunction peaked later and had a shorter duration than axonal injury.In addition,the radioactive imaging agent,99Tcm-4,9-diaza-2,3,10,10-tetramethyldodecan-2,11-dione dioxime,was used to visualize the dynamic changes that occur in tissue with cerebral hypoxia.The results demonstrated that cerebral hypoxia occurs at an early stage in diffuse axonal injury.Cerebral hypoxia was evident 12 hours after injury and declined slightly 24 hours after injury,but was significantly higher than in the control group.The pathological changes that underpin microcirculatory dysfunction did not occur at the same time as axonal injury,but did occur simultaneously with neuronal injury.Cerebral hypoxia plays a key role in promoting the secondary brain injury that occurs after diffuse axonal injury. | Jinning Song Xiaobin Liu Jingyu Chen Fenru Zhang Lei Xi | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,20: | 5 |
| 2 | Broad temperature adaptability of vanadium redox flow battery-part4:Unraveling wide temperature promotion mechanism of bismuth for V^(2+)/V^(3+) couple显示文摘Vanadium flow battery(VFB)is a fast going and promising system for large-scale stationary energy storage.However,drawbacks such as low power density and narrow temperature window caused by poor catalytic activity of graphite felt(GF)electrodes limit its worldwide application.In this paper,bismuth,as a low-cost,no-toxic and high-activity electrocatalyst,is used to modify the thermal activated GF(TGF)via a facile hydrothermal method.Bismuth can effectively inhibit the side reaction of hydrogen evolution in wide temperature range,while promoting the V^(2+)/V^(3+)redox reaction.As a result,the VFB assembled with Bi/TGF as negative electrode demonstrates outstanding rate performance under the current density up to 400 mA cm^(-2),as well as a long-term stability over 600 charging/discharging cycles at a high current density of 150 mA cm^(-2).Moreover,it also shows excellent temperature adaptability from-10°C to50°C and high durability for life test at the temperature of 50°C. | Yuchen Liu Feng Liang Yang Zhao Lihong Yu Le Liu Jingyu Xi | 2018 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2018,27,5: | 2 |
| 3 | Poly-β-hydroxybutyrate alleviated diarrhea and colitis via Lactobacillus johnsonii biofilm-mediated maturation of sulfomucin显示文摘Maintainance of sulfomucin is a key end point in the treatment of diarrhea and inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).However,the mechanisms underlying the microbial sense to sulfomucin are poorly understood,and to date,there are no therapies targeting the secretion and maturation of sulfomucin in IBD.Herein,we biosynthesized poly-β-hydroxybutyrate(PHB)and found that PHB could alleviate inflammation caused by diarrhea and colitis by enhancing the differentiation of sulfomucin.Microbiota transplantation and clearance together demonstrate that PHB promoting sulfomucin is mediated by Lactobacillus johnsonii(L.johnsonii).Further studies revealed that PHB provides a favorable niche for L.johnsonii biofilm formation to resist disturbance and support its growth.L.johnsonii-biofilm alleviates colitis by regulating fucose residues to promote goblet cell differentiation and subsequent sulfomucin maturation.Importantly,PHB alleviates colitis by enhancing sulfomucin secretion and maturation in a L.johnsonii-dependent manner.PHB represents a class of guardians,acting as a safe probiotic-biofilm delivery system that significantly promotes probiotic proliferation.Altogether,this study adds weight to the possible role of probiotics and functional materials in the treatment of intestinal inflammation.The application of PHB and biofilm self-coating L.johnsonii carries high translational potential and may be of clinical relevance. | Ning Ma Pingting Guo Jingyu Chen Zengkai Qi Chunchen Liu Jiakun Shen Yiwei Sun Xiyue Chen Guo-Qiang Chen Xi Ma | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7: | 2 |
