1LSECtin on tumor-associated macrophages enhances breast cancer sternness via interaction with its receptor BTN3A3显示文摘Macrophages have bee n suggested to con tribute to con structing a cancer stem cell(CSC)niche.However,whether and how macrophages regulate the activity of CSCs through juxtacrine signaling are poorly understood.Here we report LSECtin,a transmembrane protein highly expressed on tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs),enhances sternness of breast cancer cells(BCCs).We identified BTN3A3,a B7 family member with previously unknown functions as the receptor for LSECtin on BCCs responsible for stemness-promoting effect of LSECtin.In mice bearing human tumor xenografts,either macrophage-specific ablation of LSECtin or silencing of BTN3A3 in BCCs decreased CSC frequency and tumor growth.Admixture of LSECtin-positive macrophages increased the tumorigenic activity of BCCs dependent on BTN3A3.Disruption of the LSECtin-BTN3A3 axis with BTN3A3-Fc or anti-BTN3A3 mAb has a therapeutic effect on breast cancer.These findings define a juxtacrine signaling mechanism by which TAMs promote cancer stemness.Targeting this axis in the CSC niche may provide potential therapies to breast cancer.Di Liu Qian Lu Xing Wang Jun Wang Ning Lu Zefei Jiang Xiaopeng Hao Jianbin Li Jing Liu Pengbo Cao Guilin Peng Yuandong Tao Dianyuan Zhao Fuchu He Li Tang 2019Cell Research2019,29,5:8
2Preparation and thermal stability on non-vacuum high temperature solar selective absorbing coatings显示文摘Spectrally selective TiAl/TiAlN/TiAlON/TiAlO coating was deposited on stainless steel and copper substrates using a multiarc ion plating system.The structure,morphology,optical reflectance and electrical resistivity were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),spectrophotometer and four-point probe meter,respectively.The results show that the coating exhibits high absorptance(―0.9) and low emittance(0.09―0.19).The coating remains stable in air up to 650℃ for 1h.These properties are of extraordinary interest in solar thermal power generations and energy saving buildings.HAO Lei WANG ShuMao JIANG LiJun LIU XiaoPeng LI HuaLing LI ZhiNian 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,8:6

4A CRISPR/Cas12a-empowered surface plasmon resonance platform for rapid and specific diagnosis of the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2显示文摘The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic was partially due to the challenge of identifying asymptomatic and presymptomatic carriers of the virus,and thus highlights a strong motivation for diagnostics with high sensitivity that can be rapidly deployed.On the other hand,several concerning SARS-CoV-2 variants,including Omicron,are required to be identified as soon as the samples are identified as‘positive’.Unfortunately,a traditional PCR test does not allow their specific identification.Herein,for the first time,we have developed MOPCS(Methodologies of Photonic CRISPR Sensing),which combines an optical sensing technology-surface plasmon resonance(SPR)with the‘gene scissors’clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat(CRISPR)technique to achieve both high sensitivity and specificity when it comes to measurement of viral variants.MOPCS is a low-cost,CRISPR/Cas12a-systemempowered SPR gene-detecting platform that can analyze viral RNA,without the need for amplification,within 38 min from sample input to results output,and achieve a limit of detection of 15 fM.MOPCS achieves a highly sensitive analysis of SARS-CoV-2,and mutations appear in variants B.1.617.2(Delta),B.1.1.529(Omicron)and BA.1(a subtype of Omicron).This platform was also used to analyze some recently collected patient samples from a local outbreak in China,identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.This innovative CRISPR-empowered SPR platform will further contribute to the fast,sensitive and accurate detection of target nucleic acid sequences with single-base mutations.Zhi Chen Jingfeng Li Tianzhong Li Taojian Fan Changle Meng Chaozhou Li Jianlong Kang Luxiao Chai Yabin Hao Yuxuan Tang Omar AAl-Hartomy Swelm Wageh Abdullah GAl-Sehemi Zhiguang Luo Jiangtian Yu Yonghong Shao Defa Li Shuai Feng William J.Liu Yaqing He Xiaopeng Ma Zhongjian Xie Han Zhang 2022National Science Review2022,9,8:3
5Laves phase hydrogen storage alloys for super-high-pressure metal hydride hydrogen compressors显示文摘Ti-Cr- and Ti-Mn-based alloys were prepared to be low- and high-pressure stage metals for a double-stage super-high-pressure metal hydride hydrogen compressor. Their crystallographic characteristics and hydrogen storage properties were investigated. The alloy pair Ti0.9Zr0.1Mn1.4- Cr0.35V0.2Fe0.05/TiCr1.55Mn0.2Fe0.2 was optimized based on the comprehensive performance of the studied alloys. 6CRISPR-Cas12a-Empowered Electrochemical Biosensor for Rapid and Ultrasensitive Detection of SARS-CoV-2 Delta Variant显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a highly contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).The gold standard method for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 depends on quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction till now,which is time-consuming and requires expensive instrumentation,and the confirmation of variants relies on further sequencing techniques.Herein,we first proposed a robust technique-methodology of electrochemical CRISPR sensing with the advantages of rapid,highly sensitivity and specificity for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 variant.To enhance the sensing capability,gold electrodes are uniformly decorated with electro-deposited gold nanoparticles.Using DNA template identical to SARS-CoV-2 Delta spike gene sequence as model,our biosensor exhibits excellent analytical detection limit(50 fM)and high linearity(R2=0.987)over six orders of magnitude dynamic range from 100 fM to 10 nM without any nucleic-acid-amplification assays.The detection can be completed within 1 h with high stability and specificity which benefits from the CRISPR-Cas system.Furthermore,based on the wireless micro-electrochemical platform,the proposed biosensor reveals promising application ability in point-of-care testing.Chenshuo Wu Zhi Chen Chaozhou Li Yabin Hao Yuxuan Tang Yuxuan Yuan Luxiao Chai Taojian Fan Jiangtian Yu Xiaopeng Ma Omar AAl-Hartomy SWageh Abdullah GAl-Sehemi Zhiguang Luo Yaqing He Jingfeng Li Zhongjian Xie Han Zhang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,10:2
7Snow and ice thicknesses derived from Fast Ice Prediction System Version 2.0(FIPS V2.0)in Prydz Bay,East Antarctica:comparison with in-situ observations显示文摘In this paper,snow and ice thickness products derived from an updated Fast Ice Prediction System Version 2.0(FIPS V2.0)in Prydz Bay,East Antarctica,are introduced and compared with in-situ obser-vations.FIPS V2.0 is comprised of a newly-developed snowdrift parameterization compared to the original FIPS V1.0.The simulation domain covers the entire fast ice region in Prydz Bay and is config-ured to 720 grid cells,with a spatial resolution of 0.125°.The ERAInterim reanalysis from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasting(ECMWF)were used as the atmospheric forcing.The in-situ observations were obtained near Zhongshan Station by the wintering team,and the measurement frequency of the snow and ice thicknesses was around one week.Both the FIPS V2.0 pro-ducts and in-situ observations introduced in this paper cover the time periods from 2012 to 2016.The primary assessments based on the in-situ observations show that FIPS V2.0 has mean biases of 0.01±0.07 m and 0.23±0.09 m for snow and ice thickness simula-tions,respectively.The results indicate that the updated FIPS V2.0 produces a reasonable snow thickness due to the newly-developed snowdrift parameterization,but it overestimates the ice thickness due to the cold bias in the air temperature forcing.These 2-D snow and ice thickness distributions provide important references for sea ice thermodynamic studies,remote sensing validations,and ice-breaker navigation assessments in this region.The dataset is avail-able at http://gffzza4c772bdab62464fhqqc0ucpfkx6x65pw.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/10.11922/sciencedb.j00076.00066.Jiechen Zhao Jingjing Cheng Zhongxiang Tian Xiaopeng Han Hui Shen Guanghua Hao Honglin Guo Qi Shu 2022Big Earth Data2022,6,4:2
8The Study of Visible Implant Elastomer(VIE)Tag on Small-sized Chinese Shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis)显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to prove the feasibility of using visible implant elastomer( VIE) tags to mark Chinese shrimp of about 1 cm in length.[Method]In June 2014,2 856 Chinese shrimps with an average length of 1. 14 cm were tagged with red VIE. After temporary rearing for one day,2 321 tagged shrimps were cultured in the same pond with 60 000 untagged shrimps in this experiment. In predation test,spottedtail gobies( Synechogobius ommaturus) were selected as the predator,and the predation rate of spottedtail gobies on small-sized Chinese shrimps was measured. [Result]On September 21,2014,206 kg of Chinese shrimp was harvested in the pond. There were 389 tagged shrimps,with an average body weight of 16. 84 g,and an average length of 11. 15 cm. The untagged shrimps had an average body weight of 17. 08 g,and average length of 11. 23 cm. The results indicated that there was no significant difference in growth between the tagged and untagged shrimps. The survival rate of the tagged shrimps was 2. 7% lower than the untagged ones. Although the fluorescent tag dispersed and the position changed,the tag was still distinct both under ultraviolet light and to the naked eye. The predation test revealed that the fluorescent tag of shrimps did not increase the predation rate by spottedtail gobies. [Conclusion]Red VIE tagging is feasible in Chinese shrimps. 15A hygro-thermo-mechanical constitutive model for shape memory polymers filled with nano-carbon powder显示文摘The nano-carbon powders are often used as fillers to endow the shape memory polymers(SMPs)with electroconductivity.It has been found that the shape memory effects(SMEs)of SMPs filled with nano-carbon powder can be triggered both by temperature and by water.To reveal the driving mechanism of SMEs,a constitutive model for describing the thermally activated and moisture activated SMEs of these shape memory polymer composite(SMPCs)is developed here.Because both of the SMEs share the same driving mechanism,the variable moisture is incorporated into the framework of a thermo-mechanical modeling approach to disclose the effect of moisture on the thermoviscoelastic properties.The SMPCs are regarded as isotropic materials and the effect of carbon powder on the mechanical properties of the matrix is also considered in the paper.Because the complete recovery may not be reached even they are exposed to the stimulus environment long enough,the blocking mechanism is also considered here.This is the mainly new contribution compared to the early work.Using the method of parameter determination presented here,the effectiveness of the proposed hygro-thermo-mechanical constitutive model is confirmed by comparing the model results with the test data of uniaxial deformation from the literature.Jianping Gu Xiaopeng Zhang Hao Duan Mengqi Wan Huiyu Sun 2021International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2021,12,3:1
