11A New Discovery towards Novel Skeleton of Benzimidazole-Conjugated Pyrimidinones as Unique Effective Antibacterial Agents显示文摘A class of new potential antibacterial agents with distinctive pyrimidinone benzimidazole skeleton was developed through nucleophilic substitution and Biginelli reaction starting from urea,ethyl 4-chloroacetoacetate and various aldehydes.Some target molecules exhibited strong antibacterial activities,especially pyrimidinone benzimidazole hybrid 9e possessed the strongest inhibitory effects on the growth of E.faecalis and P.aeruginosa with a lower MIC value of 1μg/mL than norfloxacin.Moreover,compound 9e displayed strong antibiofilm capacity,low drug resistance and excellent biosafety toward human red blood cells.Further research revealed that compound 9e could disrupt membrane integrity and cause leakage of cellular components such as proteins and nucleic acids.Meanwhile,compound 9e could decrease lactate dehydrogenase activity,block cell metabolism and interact with DNA in an intercalation manner.Xi Yang Rasheed Syed Bo Fang Cheng-He Zhou 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,22:0
12Improvement in potassium ion batteries electrodes: Recent developments and efficient approaches显示文摘Demand for efficient and continuous application for high-grid energy storage systems involves the study towards novel battery technologies. Hence, considering the vast naturally available resources of potassium all over the world and its encouraging intercalation chemistries, it has recently enticed attention in electrochemical energy storage industry in the form of potassium ion batteries (PIBs). The major factor in this K+ based battery, is to develop efficient approaches to manufacture electrode substance to intercalate its big size potassium ions with considerable voltage, kinetics, charge/discharge capacity, capacity retention, cost, etc. This study contributes in the recent developments of anode and cathode materials for PIBs, including several electrode materials in regards to synthesis, structure, electrochemical performance, and K-storage mechanisms. 14High critical current density in powder-in-tube processed MgB_2/Ta/Cu wire显示文摘The magnetization of dense MgB2/Ta/Cu wires prepared by the powder-in-tube method is measured by a SQUID magnetometer. The results indicate that the critical temperature of MgB2/Ta/Cu is around 38.4 K with a sharp transition width of 0.6 K. The MgB2/Ta/Cu wire shows a strong flux pinning and the critical current density is higher than 105 A/cm2 (5 K, self-field) and 104 A/cm2 (20 K, 1 T).
