| 1 | Sintering of WC-Co powder with nanocrystalline WC by spark plasma sintering显示文摘A 92WC-8Co powder mixture with 33 nm WC grains was prepared by strengthening ball milling and was then sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at 1000-1200°C for 5-18 min under 10-25 kN, respectively. Movement of the posi-tion of low punch shown shrinkage of the sintered body began above 800°C. The shrinkage slowly rose as the temperature rose from 800 to 1000°C and then quickly rose at above 1000°C and then gradually rose at above 1150°C. The densities of the samples increased with an increase in sintering temperature, rapidly below 1100°C, and then gradually above 1100°C. WC grains grow gradually with increasing sintering temperature. The powder was sintered to near full density at 1100°C for 5 min under 10 kN. The best result of the sample with 275 nm WC grains and no pores was obtained at 1150°C under 10 kN for 5 min. | 2 | Influence of Mo on the microstructure and mechanical properties of TiC-based cermets显示文摘The microstructures and mechanics properties of TiC-based cermets composed of TiC,WC,Ni,Co,Mo,and Cr3C2 were investigated.The results show that Mo has a great effect on the sintering densification,microstructures,and mechanical properties.The microstructures and distribution of Mo and Ti in the TiC-based cermets were analyzed.It was indicated that a new phase with Ti,Mo,W,and C was formed on the rim of(Ti,W)C grains by means of an addition of Mo into the TiC-based cermets.The new phase with a surrounding structure was of great aid to improve the wettability of the liquid phase on the solid phase surface of TiC,decrease the porosity and refine the grains of the hard phase,which gave rise to the increase in strength and hardness.The properties of the TiC-based cermets could be further improved to some extent by adding WC,Cr2C3,and Co. | WANG Xingqing,HE Xiaoxiang,and GUO Hailiang School of Materials Science and Engineering,Shanghai University,Shanghai 200072,China | 2010 | Rare Metals2010,29,4: | 5 |

| 4 | All-silica zeolites screening for capture of toxic gases from molecular simulation显示文摘The exhaust gases, including SO_2,NH_3, H_2S, NO_2, NO, and CO, are principal air pollutants due to their severe harms to the ecological environment.Zeolites have been considered as good absorbent candidates to capture the six exhaust gases.In this work, we performed grand canonical ensemble Monte Carlo(GCMC) simulations to examine the capability of 95 kinds of all-silica zeolites in the removal of the six toxic gases, and to predict the adsorption isotherms of the six gases on all the zeolites.The simulation results showed that, H_2S, NO, NO_2, CO and NH_3 are well-captured by zeolite structures with accessible surface area of 1600–1800 m^2·g^(-1) and pore diameter of 0.6–0.7 nm, such as AFY and PAU, while SO_2 is well-adsorbed by zeolites containing larger accessible surface area(1700–2700 m^2·g^(-1)) and pore diameter(0.7–1.4 nm) at room temperature and an atmospheric pressure.However, at saturated adsorption, zeolites RWY, IRR, JSR, TSC, and ITT are found to exhibit better abilities to capture these gases.Our study provides useful computational insights in choosing and designing zeolite structures with high performance to remove toxic gases for air purification, thereby facilitating the development and application of exhaust gas-processing technology in green industry. | Zhiguo Yan Sai Tang Xumiao Zhou Li Yang Xingqing Xiao Houyang Chen Yuanhang Qin Wei Sun | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,1: | 4 |

| 6 | Two-dimensional vanadium carbide for simultaneously tailoring the hydrogen sorption thermodynamics and kinetics of magnesium hydride显示文摘Magnesium hydride(MgH_(2))is a potential material for solid-state hydrogen storage.However,the thermodynamic and kinetic properties are far from practical application in the current stage.In this work,two-dimensional vanadium carbide(V_(2)C)MXene with layer thickness of 50−100 nm was fist synthesized by selectively HF-etching the Al layers from V_(2)AlC MAX phase and then introduced into MgH_(2) to improve the hydrogen sorption performances of MgH_(2).The onset hydrogen desorption temperature of MgH_(2) with V_(2)C addition is significantly reduced from 318℃ for pure MgH_(2) to 190℃,with a 128℃ reduction of the onset temperature.The MgH_(2)+10 wt%V_(2)C composite can release 6.4 wt%of H_(2) within 10 min at 300℃ and does not loss any capacity for up to 10 cycles.The activation energy for the hydrogen desorption reaction of MgH_(2) with V_(2)C addition was calculated to be 112 kJ mol^(−1) H_(2) by Arrhenius’s equation and 87.6 kJ mol^(−1) H_(2) by Kissinger’s equation.The hydrogen desorption reaction enthalpy of MgH_(2)+10 wt%V_(2)C was estimated by van’t Hoff equation to be 73.6 kJ mol^(−1) H_(2),which is slightly lower than that of the pure MgH_(2)(77.9 kJ mol^(−1) H_(2)).Microstructure studies by XPS,TEM,and SEM showed that V_(2)C acts as an efficient catalyst for the hydrogen desorption reaction of MgH_(2).The first-principles density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrated that the bond length of Mg−H can be reduced from 1.71A for pure MgH_(2) to 2.14A for MgH_(2) with V_(2)C addition,which contributes to the destabilization of MgH_(2).This work provides a method to significantly and simultaneously tailor the hydrogen sorption thermodynamics and kinetics of MgH_(2) by two-dimensional MXene materials. | Chenglin Lu Haizhen Liu Li Xu Hui Luo Shixuan He Xingqing Duan Xiantun Huang Xinhua Wang Zhiqiang Lan Jin Guo | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,4: | 2 |
