2Role ofβ(FeA1)nanoparticles in abnormal grain growth in the annealing of cast Cu-Al-Mn-Fe shape memory alloys显示文摘In this study,the low-cost production of Cu-AI-Mn-Fe shape memory alloy single crystals exceeding 46 mm by abnormal grain growth was realized only through annealing their cast alloys.The results show that the mis-orientation formed during annealing may be responsible for such abnormal grain growth process.It was con-firmed that this misorientation resulted from the dissolution of bec B(FeAI)nanoparticles during heat treatment at a sufficiently temperature of approximately 1173 K.The rate of migration of the abnormal grain boundary was experimentally measured to be approximately9.3 x 10^-m s^-1within 2 min of the commencement of abnormal grain growth.Additionally,the range of composition of the alloys that can lead to abnormal grain growth was determined.When the Cu-13.0AI-6.5Mn-3.2Fe single crystal close to the[100]direction was deformed to a pre-strain of 12%,full shape recovery happened without any residual strain.At that time,the superelastic strain was approximately 9%.Such a superelastic characteristic remained nearly constant over 50 cycles,showing excellent fatigue resistance.The superelastic properties of the present Cu-13.0AI-6.5Mn-3.2Fe single crystal are compared to those of commercial Ni-Ti-based shape memory alloys.Therefore,it can be considered as a new kind of superelastic material having practical applications.The obtained results should be of great significance in the development of Cu based shape memory alloys.Furthermore,it is expected that a similar microstructure can be designed for the production of more metallic single crystals.Shuiyuan Yang Xinyu Qing Jixun Zhang Lipeng Guo Shen Hong Mingpei Li Jinbin Zhang Cuiping Wang Xingjun Liu 2020Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2020,30,4:2

5Advances in targeted therapy mainly based on signal pathways for nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a malignant epithelial carcinoma of the head and neck region which mainly distributes in southern China and Southeast Asia and has a crucial association with the Epstein–Barr virus.Based on epidemiological data,both incidence and mortality of NPC have significantly declined in recent decades grounded on the improvement of living standard and medical level in an endemic region,in particular,with the clinical use of individualized chemotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)which profoundly contributes to the cure rate of NPC patients.To tackle the challenges including local recurrence and distant metastasis in the current NPC treatment,we discussed the implication of using targeted therapy against critical molecules in various signal pathways,and how they synergize with chemoradiotherapy in the NPC treatment.Combination treatment including targeted therapy and IMRT or concurrent chemoradiotherapy is presumably to be future options,which may reduce radiation or chemotherapy toxicities and open new avenues for the improvement of the expected functional outcome for patients with advanced NPC.Yuanbo Kang Weihan He Caiping Ren Jincheng Qiao Qiuyong Guo Jingyu Hu Hongjuan Xu Xingjun Jiang Lei Wang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:1

7Sedimentary diagenesis of rudist shoal and its control on reservoirs: A case study of Cretaceous Mishrif Formation, H Oilfield, Iraq显示文摘Based on the core, cast thin section, whole rock analysis, conventional physical properties and high pressure mercury intrusion test, the sedimentary diagenesis characteristics of rudist shoal in Cretaceous Mishrif Formation of H Oilfield, Iraq and its control on the reservoir were studied. The rudist shoal of the Mishrif Formation develops in the high-stand systems tract and is distributed in the high places of paleogeomorphology on the edge of platform with strong hydrodynamic force. According to the relative sea level changes, lithologic evolution and sedimentary structure characteristics of the rudist shoal, the single rudist shoal is divided into four lithologic sections: A, B, C and D, that is, low-angle cross-bedding pelletoids-rudist packstone, low-angle cross-bedding and parallel bedding arene-rudist grainstone, parallel bedding rudist gravel limestone, and horizontal bedding carbonaceous mudstone. The complete sedimentary sequence of a single rudist shoal is often disrupted. Several rudist shoals superimpose to form thick rudist shoal sediment. The single rudist shoal thickness and lithologic sections assemblage change regularly in vertical direction. The rudist shoal has the characteristics of 'strong dissolution, weak cementation and strong compaction', forming pore-type reservoir with intergranular pores, intergranular dissolved pores, mold pores, and dissolved pores. With mainly coarse pore throats larger than 5 μm, the reservoir is of medium-high porosity and high permeability. There is lithological reverse cycles inside single shoals and between single shoals, with content of mud crystals decreasing from the bottom to the top, dissolution increasing, cementation decreasing in strength, pore throats getting larger, and physical properties turning better. 9Retroperitoneal hyaline-vascular variant Castleman Disease in a patient with iron-deficiency anemia and sinus bradycardia:a case report显示文摘Objective Castleman disease, also known as giant lymph node hyperplasia, involves lesions in the lymph nodes usually located in the chest_ENREF_1, particularly in the mediastinum. Meanwhile, sinus bradycardia is a sinus rhythm slower than 60 beats per min, and it can occur in both healthy and sick individuals. However, the comorbidity of these two disorders has not been previously reported. In this paper, we report a case of a 46-year-old woman who presented with persistent sinus bradycardia and irondeficiency anemia. Diagnostic work-up revealed hepatosplenomegaly and a giant mass near the splenic hilum. The mass was removed surgically; after which, the patient's bradycardia resolved immediately, while her anemia was corrected after subsequent chemotherapy. Pathological examination revealed lymph nodes with benign lesions, and the patient was diagnosed with hyaline-vascular variant of Castleman disease. This is the first documented case of sinus bradycardia associated with Castleman disease. 11Microstructure, martensitic transformation and shape memory effect of polycrystalline Cu-Al-Mn-Fe alloys显示文摘In this study, two Cu-Al-Mn-Fe polycrystalline alloys were prepared, and their microstructure, reversible martensitic transformation, mechanical properties and shape memory effects were investigated. The results show that the reversible martensitic transformation temperatures of the studied alloys are between room temperature and 373 K, which are suitable for practical applications. Two typed martensites of 18R and 2H coexist both in two alloys. The bcc β(FeAl) nanoparticles are Fe-rich, Mnrich and Cu-poor, whereas the martensite is Cu-rich, Fe-poor and Mn-poor. The size of nanoparticles ranges from tens to hundreds of nanometers. Full shape recovery property is displayed in Cu-12.9Al-4.5Mn-2.6Fe alloy all the time while applying different deformation from 5% to 8%. 12Excellent shape recovery characteristics of Cu-Al-Mn-Fe shape memory single crystal显示文摘Shape memory alloys can recover the deformed shape due to their superelasticity or shape memory effect. In this study, a novel Cu-Al-Mn-Fe shape memory single crystal is reported. The results show that it has excellent superelasticity and shape memory effect simultaneously when deformed at room temperature, as well as tunably wide response temperature range with near-zero interval of reverse phase transformation. When deforming one single crystal at room temperature, it not only possesses full superelasticity of 7%, but also tunable shape memory effects up to 8.8 %. The full shape recovery during heating exhibits near-zero response interval and tunably wide response temperature range of 166 K depending on the deformation. The functional characteristics of the alloys result from the controllable reverse phase transformation hinging on the stabilization of stress-induced martensite. 13Laparoscopic middle pancreatectomy显示文摘Pancreaticoduodenectomy and distal pancreatectomy are the traditional surgical treatments of tumors in the neck or body of the pancreas. Although resecting the lesions successfully, these procedures can also, however, lead the substantial loss of normal pancreatic parenchyma, causing endocrine and exocrine function disorder. The combination of distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy increased the risk of thrombosis sometimes. So the surgical trauma is too great, especially for benign and lower malignant tumors located in the neck or body of the pancreas. While, middle pancreatectomy may decrease operative trauma with the excision of these lesions, and can maximize the retention of pancreatic parenchyma, and maintain pancreatic endocrine and exocrine function integrity. The procedure is interesting but rarely performed. With the application and development of minimally invasive surgical techniques, laparoscopic and robotic middle pancreatectomy are available now. Researches about laparoscopic and robotic middle pancreatectomy are presented, with decreased morbidity, reduced operation time and hospital stay. 14A case of chronic pancreatitis treated by laparoscopic duodenum-preserving pancreatic head resection显示文摘Pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD) has long been used for chronic pancreatitis(CP), but greatly affects the postoperative quality of life. A new procedure called duodenum-preserving pancreatic head resection(DPPHR) has been introduced, and has little effect on the structure and function of the digestive system. With the development of minimally invasive surgical techniques, treatment of CP can be performed with laparoscopic DPPHR(LDPPHR). We present a case of CP that was successfully treated with LDPPHR. The postoperative pathological diagnosis was pancreatitis, demonstrating the feasibility of LDPPHR. 15Maximizing the mechanical performance of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)-based MAX phases with aid of machine learning显示文摘Mechanical properties consisting of the bulk modulus,shear modulus,Young’s modulus,Poisson’s ratio,etc.,are key factors in determining the practical applications of MAX phases.These mechanical properties are mainly dependent on the strength of M–X and M–A bonds.In this study,a novel strategy based on the crystal graph convolution neural network(CGCNN)model has been successfully employed to tune these mechanical properties of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)-based MAX phases via the A-site substitution(Ti_(3)(Al1-xAx)C_(2)).The structure–property correlation between the A-site substitution and mechanical properties of Ti_(3)(Al1-xAx)C_(2)is established.The results show that the thermodynamic stability of Ti_(3)(Al1-xAx)C_(2)is enhanced with substitutions A=Ga,Si,Sn,Ge,Te,As,or Sb.The stiffness of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)increases with the substitution concentration of Si or As increasing,and the higher thermal shock resistance is closely associated with the substitution of Sn or Te.In addition,the plasticity of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)can be greatly improved when As,Sn,or Ge is used as a substitution.The findings and understandings demonstrated herein can provide universal guidance for the individual synthesis of high-performance MAX phases for various applications.Xingjun DUAN Zhi FANG Tao YANG Chunyu GUO Zhongkang HAN Debalaya SARKER Xinmei HOU Enhui WANG 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,8:0
16Spontaneous emission rate and optical amplification of Er3+ in double slot waveguide显示文摘The spontaneous emission(SE) of Er3+ embedded in a double slot dielectric structure was studied by a quantum-electrodynamical formalism. The study shows that the slot width and the position of Er3+ in slot structure have a significant effect on the SE. The double slot waveguides were fabricated by embedding two low-index Er/Yb silicate material layers into high-index silicon. The radiative efficiency of Er3+ in the double slot waveguides is found to be higher than that of the single slot waveguide, which is consistent with the theory simulation. The 0.67 d B signal enhancement at 1.53 ?m in a 4.6-mm-long slot waveguide was observed pumped by 1476 nm laser.
