Preparation and lithium storage performances of g-C_(3)N_(4)/Si nanocomposites as anode materials for lithium-ion battery显示文摘As the anode material of lithium-ion battery,silicon-based materials have a high theoretical capacity, but their volume changes greatly in the charging and discharging process. To ameliorate the volume expansion issue of silicobased anode materials,g-C_(3)N_(4)/Si nanocomposites are prepared by using the magnesium thermal reduction technique. It is well known that g-C_(3)N_(4)/Si nanocomposites can not only improve the electronic transmission ability, but also ameliorate the physical properties of the material for adapting the stress and strain caused by the volume expansion of silicon in the lithiation and delithiation process. When g-C_(3)N_(4)/Si electrode is evaluated, the initial discharge capacity of g-C_(3)N_(4)/Si nanocomposites is as high as 1033.3 mAh/g at 0.1 A/g,and its reversible capacity is maintained at 548 mAh/g after 400 cycles.Meanwhile, the improved rate capability is achieved with a relatively high reversible specific capacity of 218 mAh/g at 2.0 A/g.The superior lithium storage performances benefit from the unique g-C_(3)N_(4)/Si nanostructure, which improves electroconductivity, reduces volume expansion, and accelerates lithiumion transmission compared to pure silicon. | Zhengxu BIAN Zehua TANG Jinfeng XIE Junhao ZHANG Xingmei GUO Yuanjun LIU Aihua YUAN Feng ZHANG Qinghong KONG | 2020 | Frontiers in Energy2020,14,4: | 1
Polydopamine functionalized mesoporous silica as ROS-sensitive drug delivery vehicles for periodontitis treatment by modulating macrophage polarization显示文摘Periodontitis is recognized as the major cause of tooth loss in adults, posing an adverse impact on systemic health. In periodontitis, excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) at the inflamed site culminates in periodontal destruction. In this study, a novel ROS-responsive drug delivery system based on polydopamine (PDA) functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles was developed for delivering minocycline hydrochloride (MH) to treat periodontitis. The outer PDA layer and the inner MH of the nanoparticles acted as ROS scavengers and anti-inflammatory agents, respectively. Under the synergistic action of PDA and MH, macrophages were polarized from the pro-inflammatory M1 to the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype. The in vitro experiments provided convincing evidence that PDA could scavenge ROS effectively, and the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines was attenuated and the secretion of anti-inflammatory cytokines was enhanced through M1 to M2 polarization of macrophages with the cooperation of MH. In addition, the results obtained from the periodontitis rat models demonstrated that the synergetic effect of PDA and MH prevented alveolar bone loss without causing any adverse effect. Taken together, the results from the present investigation provide a new strategy to remodel the inflammatory microenvironment by inducing the polarization of macrophages from M1 toward M2 state for the treatment of periodontitis. | Bingbing Bai Chaoyu Gu Xiaohui Lu Xingyu Ge Junling Yang Chenfei Wang Yongchun Gu Aidong Deng Yuehua Guo Xingmei Feng Zhifeng Gu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,12: | 0
Separation of chitin from shrimp shells enabled by transition metal salt aqueous solution and ionic liquid显示文摘Chitin is a widely used important industrial polymer mainly from shrimp shells, but its commercial preparation is under the great challenge of serious pollution due to the requirement of HCl and Na OH.Herein, we demonstrated that high purity chitin can be obtained from waste shrimp shells(WSSs) by cascade separation with transition metal salt aqueous solution and ionic liquid(IL). Firstly, calcium carbonate of WSSs was effectively removed in the metal salt aqueous solution driven by the ion exchange interaction. Subsequently, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl) had bifunctional abilities to remove residual protein and introduced metal salts simultaneously by hydrogen bonding and coordination interactions. The key experimental factors affecting the separation process were systematically studied, including the type of metal salts, temperature, and [Bmim]Cl loading. After sequential treatment with a 20%(mass) Ni SO4aqueous solution at 130 ℃ and [Bmim]Cl at 150 ℃, the purity of a-chitin can be up to 96.5%(mass) that meets commercial requirements. The use of metal salts with higher coordination ability makes the preparation of chitin no longer depend on the commonly acid-base reaction, which is conducive to the preservation of chitin structure. | Mi Feng Bin He Xinyan Chen Junli Xu Xingmei Lu Cai Jia Jian Sun | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1: | 0
Orange-derived extracellular vesicles nanodrugs for efficient treatment of ovarian cancer assisted by transcytosis effect显示文摘Extracellular vesicles(EVs)have recently received much attention about the application of drug carriers due to their desirable properties such as nano-size,biocompatibility,and high stability.Herein,we demonstrate orange-derived extracellular vesicles(OEV)nanodrugs(DN@OEV)by modifying cRGD-targeted doxorubicin(DOX)nanoparticles(DN)onto the surface of OEV,enabling significantly enhancing tumor accumulation and penetration, thereby efficiently inhibiting the growth of ovarian cancer. The obtained DN@OEV enabled to inducement of greater transcytosis capability in ovarian cancer cells, which presented the average above 10-fold transcytosis effect compared with individual DN.It was found that DN@OEV could trigger receptor-mediated endocytosis to promote early endosome/recycling endosomes pathway for exocytosis and simultaneously reduce degradation in the early endosomes-late endosomes-lysosome pathway, thereby inducing the enhanced transcytosis. In particular, the zombie mouse model bearing orthotopic ovarian cancer further validated DN@OEV presented high accumulation and penetration in tumor tissue by the transcytosis process. Our study indicated the strategy in enhancing transcytosis has significant implications for improving the therapeutic efficacy of thedrugdelivery system. | Feng Long Yao Pan Jinheng Li Suinan Sha Xiubo Shi Haoyan Guo Chuanqing Huang Qian Xiao Chao Fan Xingmei Zhang Jun-Bing Fan Ying Wang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12: | 0
Fabricating titanium dioxide/N-doped carbon nanofibers as advanced interlayer for improving cycling reversibility of lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘'Shuttle effect' is detrimental for maintaining the high capacity and cycling reversibility of lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs).To inhibit polysulfide migration,N-doped carbon nanofibers(N-CNFs) membrane comprising TiO_(2)nanoparticles(TiO_(2)/N-CNFs) is fabricated using an electrospinning-calcination method and further applied as interlayer in LSBs.The TiO_(2)/N-CNFs interlayer helps the battery to deliver a high specific capacity of 1155.2 mA·h·g^(-1)at 0.2 C with high Coulombic efficiency, good rate capability and stability. When cycling at 0.5 C,a capacity retention rate of 62.4% is achieved over 300 cycles, which is higher than that of CNFs and TiO_(2)/CNFs counterparts. The excellent performance should mainly be attributed to the alleviated 'shuttle effect' deriving from high polysulfide trapping ability of TiO_(2)nanoparticles and N heteroatoms in interwoven CNFs. | Xingmei Guo Jinfeng Xie Jing Wang Shangqing Sun Feng Zhang Fu Cao Yuanjun Liu Xiangjun Zheng Junhao Zhang Qinghong Kong | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,12: | 0
