1Reusable electronic products value prediction based on reinforcement learning显示文摘With the appearance of a huge number of reusable electronic products, the precise value evaluation has become an urgent problem to be solved in the recycling process.Traditional methods rely on manual intervention mostly. In order to make the model more suitable for the dynamic updating, this paper proposes the reinforcement learning based electronic products value prediction model which integrates market information to achieve timely and stable prediction results. The basic attributes and depreciation attributes of the product are modeled by two parallel neural networks separately to learn the different effects for prediction. Most importantly, the double deep Q network is adopted to fuse market information by reinforcement learning strategy, and the training on the old product data can be used to predict the following appeared product, which alleviates the cold start problem.Experiments on the real mobile phone recycling platform data verify that the model has achieved higher accuracy and it has a better generalization ability.DU YongPing JIN XingNan HAN HongGui WANG LuLin 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,7:1
2Development of a miniaturized 3D organoid culture platform for ultra-high-throughput screening显示文摘The recent advent of robust methods to grow human tissues as 3D organoids allows us to recapitulate the 3D architecture of tumors in an in vitro setting and offers a new orthogonal approach for drug discovery. However, organoid culturing with extracellular matrix to support 3D architecture has been challenging for high-throughput screening(HTS)-based drug discovery due to technical difficulties.Using genetically engineered human colon organoids as a model system, here we report our effort to miniaturize such 3D organoid culture with extracellular matrix support in high-density plates to enable HTS.We first established organoid culturing in a 384-well plate format and validated its application in a cell viability HTS assay by screening a 2036-compound library. We further miniaturized the 3D organoid culturing in a 1536-well ultra-HTS format and demonstrated its robust performance for large-scale primary compound screening. Our miniaturized organoid culturing method may be adapted to other types of organoids.By leveraging the power of 3D organoid culture in a high-density plate format,we provide a physiologically relevant screening platform to model tumors to accelerate organoid-based research and drug discovery.Yuhong Du Xingnan Li Qiankun Niu Xiulei Mo Min Qui Tingxuan Ma Calvin J.Kuo Haian Fu 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,8:1
3Male parent birds exert more effort to reproduce in two desert passerines显示文摘Background:Parental investment by birds is limited by the habitat environment, and a male parent increases its effort to reproduce in birds that live in high-altitude areas. Methods:A study of the reproductive behaviour of the Saxaul Sparrow(Passer ammodendri)and the Isabelline Shrike(Lanius isabellinus)was carried out at the Gansu An’xi Extremely Arid Desert National Nature Reserve in northwest China to determine the reproductive input of passerine species in desert habitats. Results:In Saxaul Sparrows, compared to the female parent, the male parent exhibited a significantly higher fre-quency of nest-defense behaviour(chirping and warning)during nesting, hatching and feeding periods. In addition,in comparison to the female parent, the male parent exhibited almost equal frequencies of nesting and incubation but fed nestlings significantly more times.Similar to the male sparrows, the feeding rates of the male Isabelline Shrikes were significantly higher than those of the females. The hatching rate and fledging rate of the Saxaul Sparrow on aver-age in this study were 81.99 and 91.92%,respectively,while those of the shrike were 69.00 and 96.53%,respectively.Conclusions:These two different passerine species living in the same desert environment exhibited the same trend in their reproductive investments.Adapting to desert environments is a strategy that may have evolved in passerines where male parent birds put more effort than females into reproduction to ensure high reproductive output.Donghui Ma Mengjie Lu Zhichang Cheng Xingnan Du Xiaoyu Zou Xingxing Yao Xinkang Bao 2021Avian Research2021,12,3:0
