| 1 | Silicon-on-insulator-based microwave photonic filter with widely adjustable bandwidth显示文摘We demonstrate a silicon-based microwave photonic filter(MPF) with flattop passband and adjustable bandwidth. The proposed MPF is realized by using a 10 th-order microring resonator(MRR) and a photodetector,both of which are integrated on a photonic chip. The full width at half-maximum(FWHM) bandwidth of the optical filter achieved at the drop port of the 10 th-order MRR is 21.6 GHz. The ripple of the passband is less than 0.3 dB, while the rejection ratio is 32 dB. By adjusting the deviation of the optical carrier wavelength from the center wavelength of the optical bandpass filter, the bandwidth of the MPF can be greatly changed. | 4 | Recent Advances in Electrolytes for High-Voltage Cathodes of Lithium-Ion Batteries显示文摘With the increasing scale of energy storage,it is urgently demanding for further advancements on battery technologies in terms of energy density,cost,cycle life and safety.The development of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)not only relies on electrodes,but also the functional electrolyte systems to achieve controllable formation of solid electrolyte interphase and high ionic conductivity.In order to satisfy the needs of higher energy density,high-voltage(>4.3 V)cathodes such as Li-rich layered compounds,olivine LiNiPO_(4),spinel LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4) have been extensively studied.However,high-voltage cathodebased LIBs fade rapidly mainly owing to the anodic decomposition of electrolytes,gradually thickening of interfacial passivation layer and vast irreversible capacity loss,hence encountering huge obstacle toward practical applications.To tackle this roadblock,substantial progress has been made toward oxidation-resistant electrolytes to block its side reaction with high-voltage cathodes.In this review,we discuss degradation mechanisms of electrolytes at electrolyte/cathode interface and ideal requirements of electrolytes for high-voltage cathode,as well as summarize recent advances of oxidation-resistant electrolyte optimization mainly from solvents and additives.With these insights,it is anticipated that development of liquid electrolyte tolerable to high-voltage cathode will boost the large-scale practical applications of high-voltage cathode-based LIBs. | Wenhui Hou Yang Lu Yu Ou Pan Zhou Shuaishuai Yan Xi He Xuewen Geng Kai Liu | 2023 | Transactions of Tianjin University2023,29,2: | 1 |

| 6 | A Design and Implementation of Multicrypt Solution for DVB Receiver显示文摘Conditional Access (CA) System is the essential basis of a Pay-TV System to charge the subscribers. This paper first introduces the standards and mechanisms for a Set-Top-Box(STB)to receive programs scrambled by different CA systems. Then, according to DVB multicrypt solution, a design in detail for such a DVB receiver, I.e. STB is presented. Decoder manufacturers provide STBs with the standard DVB common interface and CA system providers provide detachable CA modules to plug into the STBs through Common Interface. This solution allows broadcasters and customers to change CA system without replacing the STB. | 8 | sea-derived fungus Acremonium sp.HDN16-126显示文摘Acremonium species are prolific producers of therapeutic molecules which include the widely used beta-lactam antibiotic,cephalosporin.In light of their significant medical value,an efficient gene disruption method is required for the physiological and biochemical studies on this genus of fungi.However,the number of selection markers that can be used for gene targeting is limited,which constrain the genetic analysis of multiple functional genes.In this study,we established a uridine auxotrophy based marker recycling system which achieves scarless gene deletion,and allows the use of the same selection marker in successive transformations in a deep seaderived fungus Acremonium sp.HDN16-126.We identified one homologue of Acremonium chrysogenum pyrG(also as a homologous gene of the yeast URA3)from HDN16-126,designated as pyrG-A1,which can be used as a selection marker on uridine free medium.We then removed pyrG-A1 from HDN16-126 genome via homologous recombination(HR)on MM medium with 5-fluoroortic acid(5-FOA),a chemical that can be converted into a toxin of 5-flurouracil by pyrG-A1 activity,thus generating the HDN16-126-△pyrG mutant strain which showed auxotrophy for uridine but insensitivity to 5-FOA and enabled the use of exogenous pyrG gene as both positive and negative selection marker to achieve the scarless deletion of target DNA fragments.We further applied this marker recycling system to successfully disrupt two target genes pepL(encodes a putative 2OG-Fe(Ⅱ)dioxygenase)and pepM(encodes a putative aldolase)identified from HDN16-126 genome,which are proposed to be functional genes related to 2-aminoisobutyric acid metabolism in fungi.This work is the first application of uridine auxotrophy based scarless gene deletion method in Acremonium species and shows promising potential in assisting sequential genetic analysis of filamentous fungi. | Ruonan Sun Hengyi Xu Yanyan Feng Xuewen Hou Tianjiao Zhu Qian Che Blaine Pfeifer Guojian Zhang Dehai Li | 2021 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2021,6,2: | 0 |
