1Mn3O4 nanoparticles@reduced graphene oxide composite:An efficient electrocatalyst for artificial N2 fixation to NH3 at ambient conditions显示文摘Currently,industrial-scale NH3 production almost relies on energy-intensive Haber-Bosch process from atmospheric N2 with large amount of CO2 emission,while low-cost and high-efficient catalysts are demanded for the N2 reduction reaction (NRR).In this study,Mn3O4 nanoparticles@reduced graphene oxide (Mn3O4@rGO) composite is reported as an efficient NRR electrocatalyst with excellent selectivity for NH3 formation.In 0.1 M Na2SO4 solution,such catalyst obtains a NH3 yield of 17.4 μg·h^-1·mg^-1cat.and a Faradaic efficiency of 3.52% at-0.85 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode.Notably,it also shows high electrochemical stability during electrolysis process.Density functional theory (DFT) calculations also demonstrate that the (112) planes of Mn3O4 possess superior NRR activity.Hong Huang Feng Gong Yuan Wang Huanbo Wang Xiufeng Wu Wenbo Lu Runbo Zhao Hongyu Chen Xifeng Shi Abdullah M.Asiri Tingshuai Li Qian Liu Xuping Sun 2019Nano Research2019,12,5:8
2Enhancing electrocatalytic N_(2)-to-NH_(3) fixation by suppressing hydrogen evolution with alkylthiols modified Fe_(3)P nanoarrays显示文摘Electrocatalytic N_(2) reduction provides an attractive alternative to Haber-Bosch process for artificial NH_(3) synthesis.The difficulty of suppressing competing proton reduction,however,largely impedes its practical use.Herein,we design a hydrophobic octadecanethiol-modified Fe_(3)P nanoarrays supported on carbon paper(C18@Fe_(3)P/CP)to effectively repel water,concentrate N_(2),and enhance N_(2)-to-NH_(3) conversion.Such catalyst achieves an NH_(3) yield of 1.80×10^(-10) mol s^(-1)·cm^(-2) and a high Faradaic efficiency of 11.22%in 0.1 M Na_(2)SO_(4),outperforming the non-modified Fe_(3)P/CP(2.16×10^(-11) mol s^(-1)·cm^(-2),0.9%)counterpart.Significantly,C18@Fe_(3)P/CP renders steady Nrfixing activlty/selectivity in cycling test and exhibits durability for at least 25 h.First-principles calculations suggest that the surface electronic structure and chemical activity of Fe_(3)P can be well tuned by the thiol modification,which facilitates N_(2) electroreduction activity and catalytic formation of NH_(3).Tong Xu Jie Liang Yuanyuan Wang Shaoxiong Li Zhaobai Du Tingshuai Li Qian Liu Yonglan Luo Fang Zhang Xifeng Shi Bo Tang Qingquan Kong Abdullah M.Asiri Chun Yang Dongwei Ma Xuping Sun 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:4
3Active Source Seismic Identification and Automatic Picking of the P-wave First Arrival Using a Convolutional Neural Network显示文摘In seismic data processing,picking of the P-wave first arrivals takes up plenty of time and labor,and its accuracy plays a key role in imaging seismic structures.Based on the convolution neural network(CNN),we propose a new method to pick up the P-wave first arrivals automatically.Emitted from MINI28 vibroseis in the Jingdezhen seismic experiment,the vertical component of seismic waveforms recorded by EPS 32-bit portable seismometers are used for manually picking up the first arrivals(a total of 7242).Based on these arrivals,we establish the training and testing sets,including 25,290 event samples and 710,616 noise samples(length of each sample:2 s).After 3,000 steps of training,we obtain a convergent CNN model,which can automatically classify seismic events and noise samples with high accuracy(>99%).With the trained CNN model,we scan continuous seismic records and take the maximum output(probability of a seismic event)as the P-wave first arrival time.Compared with STA/LTA(short time average/long time average),our method shows higher precision and stronger anti-noise ability,especially with the low SNR seismic data.This CNN method is of great significance for promoting the intellectualization of seismic data processing,improving the resolution of seismic imaging,and promoting the joint inversion of active and passive sources.XU Zhen WANG Tao XU Shanhui WANG Baoshan FENG Xuping SHI Jing YANG Minghan 2019Earthquake Research in China2019,33,2:3
4Significant sensing performance of an all-silicon terahertz metasurface chip for Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Ac protein显示文摘The promising prospect of a terahertz metasurface in sensing and detection applications has attracted increasing attention because of its ability to overcome the classical diffraction limit and the enhancement of field intensity.In this work,a novel scheme based on an all-silicon terahertz plasmon metasurface is proposed and experimentally demonstrated to be a highly sensitive biosensor for the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Ac toxin.The regression coefficients between Bacillus thuringiensis protein concentrations and the spectral resonance intensity and frequency were 0.8988 and 0.9238,respectively.The resonance amplitude variation and frequency shift of the metasurface were investigated in terms of both thickness and permittivity change of the analyte,which reflected the protein residue in the actual process.Moreover,the reliability and stability of the metasurface chip were verified by time period,temperature,and humidity control.These results promise the ability of the proposed metasurface chip as a Bacillus thuringiensis protein sensor with high sensitivity and stability.In addition,this novel device strategy provides opportunities for the advancement of terahertz functional applications in the fields of biochemical sensing and detection.Zijian Cui Yue Wang Yongqiang Shi Yongqiang Zhu Dachi Zhang Zhiqi Hong Xuping Feng 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:2

9Torque Calculation of Five-Phase Synchronous Reluctance Motors With Shifted-Asymmetrical-Salient-Poles Under Saturation Condition显示文摘In traditional analytical method(AM),the magnetic saturation is always ignored to simplify the calculation process.However,synchronous reluctance motors(SynRMs)often operate around saturation point to achieve higher torque density.Therefore,a new AM is proposed,in which the saturation of stator iron has been considered.The key of the proposed method includes a saturation factor,and an iterative method is adopted to compute the saturation factor in the SynRM by increasing the air-gap length.Especially,the proposed AM can be applied to a SynRM even with shifted-asymmetrical-salient-poles.In the process of AM,the expression of stator magnetomotive force(MMF)is built firstly.Additionally,the air-gap density including slotting effect and salient-poles is calculated.Then,the rotor MMF under saturation of the stator iron is obtained.Therefore,the precision of the instantaneous torque can be improved significantly.Eventually,by the verification of finite elements method(FEM)and experiments,the torque performance of SynRMs with shifted asymmetrical rotor can be predicted accurately by the proposed AM.Qian Chen Xuping Shi Gaohong Xu Wenxiang Zhao 2020CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2020,4,2:1

11Comparative Study of the Effects of Nano ZnO and CuO on the Biodegradation,Biocompatibility,and Antibacterial Properties of Micro-arc Oxidation Coating of Magnesium Alloy显示文摘This research systematically examined the degradation,antibacterial effects,and biocompatibility of micro-arc oxidation(MAO)coatings with nano CuO and ZnO on extruded Mg alloys.Both copper(Cu)and Zinc(Zn)possess antibacterial properties.The findings demonstrated that adding ZnO will appreciably reduce the degradation rate of MAO-coating alloy due to the self-sealing micro holes.CuO+MAO coating exhibited excellent antibacterial performance,with an antibacterial rate of over 90%within 6 h co-cultured with Staphylococcus aureus.Similarly,the antibacterial rate of ZnO+MAO coating reached 90%after 12 h co-culture.Cytotoxicity test using MG63 cell indicated that the incorporation of CuO and ZnO did not notably affect the cell viability rate of the coating.Moreover,after 14 days of culture,the CuO+MAO and ZnO+MAO coated samples exhibited higher alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity than the MAO-coated and uncoated samples,suggesting favorable osteogenic properties.Ying Shen Xianfeng Shan Iniobong P.Etim Muhammad Ali Siddiqui Yang Yang Zewen Shi Xuping Su Junxiu Chen 2024Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2024,37,2:0
