| 1 | Pitavastatin attenuates AGEs-induced mitophagy via inhibition of ROS generation in the mitochondria of cardiomyocytes显示文摘This study aimed to investigate whether pitavastatin protected against injury induced by advanced glycation end products products(AGEs) in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes,and to examine the underlying mechanisms.Cardiomyocytes of neonatal rats were incubated for 48 hours with AGEs(100 μg/mL),receptor for advanced glycation end products(RAGE),antibody(1 μg/mL) and pitavastatin(600 ng/mL).The levels of p62 and beclinl were determined by Western blotting.Mitochondrial membrane potential(△Ψm) and the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS) were measured through the JC-1 and DCFH-DA.In the AGEs group,the expression of beclinl was remarkably increased compared to the control group,while the expression of p62 was significantly decreased.AGEs also markedly decreased △Ψm and significantly increased ROS compared with the control group.After treatment with RAGE antibody or pitavastatin,the level of beclinl was markedly decreased compared with the AGEs group,but the level of p62 was remarkably increased.In the AGEs + RAGE antibody group and AGEs+ pitavastatin group,△Ψm was significantly increased and ROS was remarkably decreased compared with the AGEs group.In conclusion,AGEs-RAGE may induce autophagy of cardiomyocytes by generation of ROS and pitavastatin could protect against AGEs-induced injury against cardiomyocytes. | Zhimin Zha Junhong Wang Shiling Li Yan Guo | 2018 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2018,32,4: | 6 |
| 2 | An Improved Polar Codes-Based Key Reconciliation for Practical Quantum Key Distribution显示文摘Key reconciliation is important for practical Quantum key distribution(QKD) systems since it corrects the error bits in a key string by sacrificing some key bits. Therefore, its performance directly affects the secret key rate of a practical QKD system. Although key reconciliation scheme based on polar codes can achieve a high coding efficiency, the high frame error rate causes discarding key strings and decreases the secret key rate. In this paper, we fist analyze the limitation of successive cancellation decoding of polar codes, and then we propose an improved key reconciliation scheme using polar codes with successive cancellation list decoding and optimized coding structures, which can decrease the frame error probability, resulting in a higher secret key rate. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme can achieve a 12.8% higher secret key rate than the previous polar codes-based scheme with a code length of 216 bits and a quantum bit error rate of 2%. | 4 | Highly Thermo-Conductive Three-Dimensional Graphene Aqueous Medium显示文摘Highly thermo-conductive aqueous medium is a crucial premise to demonstrate high-performance thermal-related applications.Graphene has the diamond comparable thermal conductivity,while the intrinsic two-dimensional reality will result in strong anisotropic thermal conductivity and wrinkles or even crumples that significantly sacrifices its inherent properties in practical applications.One strategy to overcome this is to use three-dimensional(3D)architecture of graphene.Herein,3D graphene structure with covalent-bonding nanofins(3D-GS-CBF)is proposed,which is then used as the filler to demonstrate effective aqueous medium.The thermal conductivity and thermal conductivity enhancement efficiency of 3D-GS-CBF(0.26 vol%)aqueous medium can be as high as 2.61 W m-1 K-1 and 1300%,respectively,around six times larger than highest value of the existed aqueous mediums.Meanwhile,3D-GS-CBF can be stable in the solution even after 6 months,addressing the instability issues of conventional graphene networks.A multiscale modeling including non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations and heat conduction model is applied to interpret experimental results.3D-GS-CBF aqueous medium can largely improve the solar vapor evaporation rate(by 1.5 times)that are even comparable to the interfacial heating system;meanwhile,its cooling performance is also superior to commercial coolant in thermal management applications. | Zheng Bo Chongyan Ying Huachao Yang Shenghao Wu Jinyuan Yang Jing Kong Shiling Yang Yanguang Zhou Jianhua Yan Kefa Cen | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10: | 1 |
