| 1 | Starch/polyvinyl alcohol blended materials used as solid carbon source for tertiary denitrification of secondary efuent显示文摘Starch/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) blended materials for using as a solid carbon source(SCS) were prepared by blending PVA and gelatinized starch in an aqueous solution system, in which PVA served as framework material and starch as carbon source. The optimization of starch content and temperature efects were investigated. It was indicated that higher denitrification efciency could be achieved with more starch in the materials. The average specific denitrification rates were 0.93, 0.66, 0.37 and 0.36 mg/(g·day)corresponding to starch content of 70%, 60%, 40% and 30% respectively at 37°C. The denitrification rates increased when operating temperature was raised from 23°C to 30°C and then 37°C. The mechanism of carbon release was analyzed incorporating the experimental results of abiotic release in deionized water. The organic carbon was mainly hydrolyzed by microbes, and the biological release efciencies were at the range of 89.2% to 96.0%. A long-term experiment with a continuous flow reactor with SCS material containing 70% starch was conducted to gain some experience for practical application. When the influent nitrate concentration was in the range of 35.2 to 39.1 mg/L, hydraulic retention time of 4 hr, and operating temperature of 30°C, a nitrogen removal efciency up to94.6% and denitrification rate of 0.217 kg/(m3·day) was achieved. | 3 | NEXT:a neural network framework for next POI recommendation显示文摘The task of next POI recommendations has been studied extensively in recent years.However,developing a unified recommendation framework to incorporate multiple factors associated with both POIs and users remains challenging,because of the heterogeneity nature of these information.Further,effective mechanisms to smoothly handle cold-start cases are also a difficult topic.Inspired by the recent success of neural networks in many areas,in this paper,we propose a simple yet effective neural network framework,named NEXT,for next POI recommendations.NEXT is a unified framework to learn the hidden intent regarding user's next move,by incorporating different factors in a unified manner.Specifically,in NEXT,we incorporate meta-data information,e.g.,user friendship and textual descriptions of POIs,and two kinds of temporal contexts(i.e.,time interval and visit time).To leverage sequential relations and geographical influence,we propose to adopt DeepWalk,a network representation learning technique,to encode such knowledge.We evaluate the effectiveness of NEXT against other state-of-the-art alternatives and neural networks based solutions.Experimental results on three publicly available datasets demonstrate that NEXT significantly outperforms baselines in real-time next POI recommendations.Further experiments show inherent ability of NEXT in handling cold-start. | Zhiqian ZHANG Chenliang LI Zhiyong WU Aixin SUN Dengpan YE Xiangyang LUO | 2020 | Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,2: | 5 |
| 4 | Applications of Acrylate-based Polymer and Silicone Resin on LPFG-based Devices显示文摘Both acrylate based polymer and silicone resin are proposed as recoating materials surrounding LPFGs for purposes of different applications. For the LPFG recoated with a thin layer of acrylate based polymer, the range of wavelength shift as much as 60nm is expected when temperature changes from 0~100℃. As for that with surrounding material of silicone resin, the temperature stability is greatly improved depicted as the maximum wavelength shift of about 0.6nm with the same temperature variation. The former is potentially a broadband tunable band rejection filter or temperature sensor with enhanced sensitivity. | 5 | Materials Experiment on Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory显示文摘During the China's Tiangong-2(TG-2) flight mission, the experiments of 18 kinds of material samples were conducted in space by using a Multiple Materials Processing Furnace(MMPF) mounted in the orbital module of the TG-2 space laboratory. After the experiments of 12 kinds of samples of the first and second batches were completed successfully, astronauts packed and brought them back to the ground by ShenzhouII spacecraft. By studying processing and formation on semiconductor and optoelectronics materials, metal alloys and metastable materials, functional single-crystal, micro-and nano-composite materials encapsulated in sample ampoules both in space and on Earth, we expect to explore some physical and chemical processes and mechanism of the materials formation that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on the ground due to the gravity-induced convection, to obtain the processing and synthesis technology for preparing high quality materials, and lead to the improvement and development of materials processing techniques on Earth, and also develop the experiment device and comprehensive ability for materials experiment in microgravity environment. | 6 | Microstructure, tensile properties and creep behavior of Al-12Si-3.5Cu-2Ni-0.8Mg alloy produced by different casting technologies显示文摘The relationship between the as-cast microstructure and mechanical properties of the Al-12 Si-3.5 Cu-2 Ni-0.8 Mg alloys produced by permanent mold casting(PMC) and high pressure die casting(HPDC)is investigated. The alloys in both PMC and HPDC consist of Al, Si, Al_5 Cu_2 Mg_8 Si_6, Al_3 Cu Ni, and Al_7 Cu_4 Ni phase. However, the microstructure of the HPDC alloy is significantly refined. Compared to the PMC alloy,the ultimate tensile strength of the HPDC alloy is significantly increased from 244 MPa to 310 MPa, while the elongation shows a reverse trend at room temperature. At low stress and temperature range, slight variations of stress exponent and activation energy indicate that the minimum creep rate is controlled by the grain boundary creep. Then the minimum creep rate is higher for the specimen with the smaller grain size, where grain boundary creep is the dominant creep mechanism. At high stress region, the stress exponent for the PMC alloy and HPDC alloy is 5.18 and 3.07, respectively. | 7 | Performance analysis of solar absorption-subcooled compression hybrid refrigeration system in subtropical city显示文摘Solar absorption-subcooled compression hybrid refrigeration system is a new type of efficient and economical solar refrigeration device which always meets the demand of cooling load with the change of solar irradiance.The perfonnance of the hybrid system is higher due to the improvement of evaporator temperature of absorption subsystem.But simultaneously,the variation of working process as well as performance is complicated since the absorption and compression subsystems are coupled strongly.Based on the measured meteorological data of Guangzhou,a subtropical city in south China,a corresponding parametric model has been developed for the hybrid refrigeration system,and a program written by Fortran has been used to analyze the performance of the hybrid system under different external conditions.As the condensation temperature ranges from 38°C to 50°C,the working time fraction of the absorption subsystem increases from 75%to 85%.Besides,the energy saving fraction also increases from 5.31%to 6.02%.The average COP of the absorption subsystem is improved from 0.366 to 0.407.However,when the temperature of the absorption increases from 36°C to 48°C,the average COP of hybrid system decreases from 2.703 to 2.312.Moreover,the working time fraction of the absorption subsystem decreases from 80%to 71.7%.The energy saving fraction falls from 5.67%to 5.08%.In addition,when the evaporate temperature increases from 4°C to 14°C,the average COP of the absorption subsystem decreases from 0.384 to 0.365.The work of the compressor decreases from 48.2 kW to 32.8 kW and the corresponding average COP of the absorption subsystem is improved from 2.591 to 3.082. | Xiangyang YE Liming LIU Zeyu LI | 2019 | Frontiers in Energy2019,13,1: | 2 |

| 15 | Preparation and investigation of a novel iodine-based visible polyvinyl alcohol embolization material显示文摘Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) embolization particles, currently used in clinical practice, have good expansibility and are capable of permanent embolization. However, the lack of adhesion of embolization particles contributes to facilitated recanalization after embolization, while the lack of visualization facilitates misembolization. At present, embolization materials with good expansion, adhesion, and visualization potential are urgently required in clinical practice. Here, we report the development of PVA/gelatin/iohexol(I) fiber blocks as a novel embolization material for liver embolization in rats. In our work, electrospun PVA/gelatin/I nanofibrous mats were first prepared, homogenized, centrifuged in a gradient manner, and freeze-dried to obtain fiber blocks(fiber diameter =296.2 ± 74.23 nm, length 99.6 ± 17.0 μm × width 46.9 ± 13.3 μm). The fiber blocks exhibited excellent cytocompatibility and hemocompatibility. Fiber blocks with a PVA/gelatin/I mass ratio of 8:2:10 were selected due to their excellent expansibility and adhesive properties. The PVA/gelatin/I fiber blocks display excellent liver embolic effects and computed tomography(CT) imaging potential due to a combination of the following characteristics: expansibility of PVA and gelatin, adhesive property of gelatin, and CT imaging potential of I. | 19 | Molecular mechanism underlying the subtype-selectivity of competitive inhibitor NF110 and its distinct potencies in human and rat P2X3 receptors显示文摘P2X receptors are a family of extracellular ATP-gated trimeric cation channels that is widely distributed in human tissues. Quite some drug candidates targeting P2X receptors have entered into preclinical or main phases of clinical trials, but many of them failed due to low subtype-selectivity or species differences in pharmacological activities between human and experimental animals. Here, we identified the distinct inhibitory efficacies of NF110, a competitive inhibitor, between the rat(rP2X3) and human(hP2X3) P2X3 receptors. We demonstrated that this difference is determined by two amino acids located in the dorsal fin(DF) domain of P2X3 receptors. As revealed by mutagenesis, metadynamics, and covalent modification, NF110-mediated rP2X3 inhibition may be through a filling in the cavity formed by the DF,left flipper(LF) and lower body(LB) to partially, rather than fully, occupy the ATP-binding pocket.Moreover, substitution of residues located in the DF and/or LF domains of the rP2X2 receptor, a NF110-insensitive subtype, with the equivalent amino acids of rP2X3, bestowed the sensitivity of rP2X2 to NF110. The critical roles of the DF and LF domains in channel gating of P2X and low conservativity in residue sequences of those two domains raise the possibility that small molecules differentially interacting with the residues of the DF and LF domains of different P2X receptors may modulate channel's activity in a subtype-selective manner.
