| 1 | Mercury isotope variations in surface soils in different contaminated areas in Guizhou Province,China显示文摘Guizhou Province is known as a heavily Hg-polluted area in China due to its special geochemical background and complicated Hg emission sources.In this study,we investigated the Hg isotope compositions of surface soil samples in the Hg mining area,zinc smelting area,coal combustion area,which are known to be the typical pollution regions of Hg in this province.We also compared the Hg isotopic fingerprints of primary Hg sources,such as hydrothermal Hg-bearing ores,coals and atmospheric Hg samples.According to our study,Hg stored in surface soils in different pollution regions in Guizhou Province displays a wide range of both mass dependent fractionation(MDF,δ202Hg) and mass independent fractionation(MIF,△199Hg).δ 202 Hg varies by 2.0‰ and △199Hg varies by 0.25‰ in the investigated surface soils.This study demonstrated that using a 'MDF-MIF' two dimensional Hg isotope system could be particularly useful in discriminating Hg sources in soils. | FENG XinBin YIN RunSheng YU Ben DU BuYun | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2: | 13 |
| 2 | High-precision measurement of mercury isotope ratios of atmospheric deposition over the past 150 years recorded in a peat core taken from Hongyuan, Sichuan Province, China显示文摘High-precision 210Pb dating technology was applied to a peat core with a time span of about 150 years that was taken from Hongyuan, Sichuan Province, China. The concentrations of total mercury (Hg) and stable isotope compositions of mercury in the peat core were measured using a LUMEX 915 instrument and multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, respectively. Total mercury (Hg) concentrations in the peat core had a clearly increasing trend from the bottom to top of the core while δ 202Hg values (relative to NIST 3133) of peat had a decreasing trend. The total mercury (Hg) concentration varied from 16.7 to 101.3 ng/g and the δ 202Hg values ranged from –0.44‰± 0.14‰ to –1.45‰± 0.22‰. | 5 | Phytic acid-derived fabrication of ultra-small MoP nanoparticles for efficient CO methanation: Effects of P/Mo ratios显示文摘Molybdenum phosphide(MoP) catalyst has been widely applied in hydrogenation reactions, while the preparation of unsupported MoP catalysts with ultra-small size and large specific surface area(SBET) is still challenging. Herein, we have provided a facile method for preparing a series of MoP-x(x=P/Mo ratios ranging from 1 to 5) catalysts by pyrolyzing phytic acid(PA)-derived Mo complexes in a H2 atmosphere. The physicochemical properties and the catalytic activity of MoP catalysts were investigated. The results showed that the obtained MoP-5 catalyst had the largest SBETand exhibited ultra-small nanoparticle diameter of 3.6 nm, which ascribed to the chelation of PA and the confinement of deposited products.As the content of PA increased, the synthetic mechanism of MoP was also affected, which led to the difference in the valence of surface Mo species. | 8 | Mercury transformation processes in nature: Critical knowledge gaps and perspectives for moving forward显示文摘The transformation of mercury(Hg) in the environment plays a vital role in the cycling of Hg and its risk to the ecosystem and human health. Of particular importance are Hg oxidation/reduction and methylation/demethylation processes driven or mediated by the dynamics of light, microorganisms, and organic carbon, among others. Advances in understanding those Hg transformation processes determine our capacity of projecting and mitigating Hg risk. Here, we provide a critical analysis of major knowledge gaps in our understanding of Hg transformation in nature, with perspectives on approaches moving forward. Our analysis focuses on Hg transformation processes in the environment, as well as emerging methodology in exploring these processes. | 9 | Photonic-dispersion neural networks for inverse scattering problems显示文摘Inferring the properties of a scattering objective by analyzing the optical far-field responses within the framework of inverse problems is of great practical significance.However,it still faces major challenges when the parameter range is growing and involves inevitable experimental noises.Here,we propose a solving strategy containing robust neuralnetworks-based algorithms and informative photonic dispersions to overcome such challenges for a sort of inverse scattering problem—reconstructing grating profiles.Using two typical neural networks,forward-mapping type and inverse-mapping type,we reconstruct grating profiles whose geometric features span hundreds of nanometers with nanometric sensitivity and several seconds of time consumption.A forward-mapping neural network with a parameters-to-point architecture especially stands out in generating analytical photonic dispersions accurately,featured by sharp Fano-shaped spectra.Meanwhile,to implement the strategy experimentally,a Fourier-optics-based angle-resolved imaging spectroscopy with an all-fixed light path is developed to measure the dispersions by a single shot,acquiring adequate information.Our forward-mapping algorithm can enable real-time comparisons between robust predictions and experimental data with actual noises,showing an excellent linear correlation(R2>0.982)with the measurements of atomic force microscopy.Our work provides a new strategy for reconstructing grating profiles in inverse scattering problems. | Tongyu Li Ang Chen Lingjie Fan Minjia Zheng Jiajun Wang Guopeng Lu Maoxiong Zhao Xinbin Cheng Wei Li Xiaohan Liu Haiwei Yin Lei Shi Jian Zi | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,10: | 0 |
