1Application of R-Mode Cluster Analysis to Multielement Taxonomy of Early Triassic Conodonts显示文摘The multivariate statistical analysis is profitably applicable to the study of conodontmultielement taxonomy.R-mode cluster analyses of quantitative and 0-1 data are carried out hereto classify more than 6000 discrete Lower Triassic conodont specimens belonging to 108 kinds ofconodont elements from Western Guangxi.The results of R—mode cluster analysis reveal moredirectly the relationship among many isolated conodont elements,and they also prove that the re-sults of the logical inference are basically correct,i.e.108 kinds of conodont elements can be identi-fied into 32 species belonging to 11 genera of conodonts.The application of R-mode cluster analysismultielement taxonomy by the method,has brought about 4 significant conclusions,which can be usedby conodont researchers as reference.Zhang Shunxin Yang ZunyiChina University of Geosciences , Beijing 100083 1993Journal of Earth Science1993,12,1:1

3Isolation and Identification of Houttuynia cordata Endophytic Bacteria and Study of Antibiotic Activity显示文摘[Objectives]To further explore the resources of biocontrol strains and provide new options for the control of pathogenic bacteria.[Methods]Houttuynia cordata endophytic bacteria were isolated and identified,and the antibiotic activity was explored.[Results]There are 8 strains(H1-H8)of endophytic bacteria isolated from the healthy plants of H.cordata,which had an antagonistic effect on the pathogenic bacteria.According to the gene sequence,the 8 strains were identified as Stenotrophomonas,Pseudomonas,and Bacillus,which strongly inhibited Colletotrichum(HC1),Fusarium(HC2),and Rhizoctonia(HC5)of H.cordata.On the PDA culture dish,the inhibition diameter of the 8 strains on Colletotrichum,Fusarium,and Rhizoctonia was 6,8,and 5 mm,respectively.[Conclusions]Pathogenic bacteria and endophytic bacteria inoculated with H.cordata seedlings showed that endophytic bacteria have certain antagonistic activity,and have the potential for development and application.Kaifeng WANG Shunxin YANG Zhannan YANG 2023Medicinal Plant2023,14,3:0

5Crossover patterns under meiotic chromosome program显示文摘Repairing DNA double-strand breaks(DSBs)with homologous chromosomes as templates is the hallmark of meiosis.The critical outcome of meiotic homologous recombination is crossovers,which ensure faithful chromosome segregation and promote genetic diversity of progenies.Crossover patterns are tightly controlled and exhibit three characteristics:obligatory crossover,crossover interference,and crossover homeostasis.Aberrant crossover patterns are the leading cause of infertility,miscarriage,and congenital disease.Crossover recombination occurs in the context of meiotic chromosomes,and it is tightly integrated with and regulated by meiotic chromosome structure both locally and globally.Meiotic chromosomes are organized in a loop-axis architecture.Diverse evidence shows that chromosome axis length determines crossover frequency.Interestingly,short chromosomes show different crossover patterns compared to long chromosomes.A high frequency of human embryos are aneuploid,primarily derived from female meiosis errors.Dramatically increased aneuploidy in older women is the well-known“maternal age effect.”However,a high frequency of aneuploidy also occurs in young women,derived from crossover maturation inefficiency in human females.In addition,frequency of human aneuploidy also shows other age-dependent alterations.Here,current advances in the understanding of these issues are reviewed,regulation of crossover patterns by meiotic chromosomes are discussed,and issues that remain to be investigated are suggested.Shunxin Wang Yongliang Shang Yanlei Liu Binyuan Zhai Xiao Yang Liangran Zhang 2021Asian Journal of Andrology2021,23,6:0
