1Mercury indicating inflow zones and ruptures along the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 earthquake fault显示文摘During the Wenchuan Fault Scientific Drilling Project,we determined the values of total mercury(HgT)and gaseous elemental mercury(GEM) from drilled cores and drilling mud,respectively.Geochemical analysis shows HgT values ranging from 0.24 to 6.45 ng/g for the Penguan complex and from 2.90 to 137.54 ng/g for T3 sediment.The average levels of HgT for the Penguan complex and T3 sediments are 1.81 ± 0.26 ng/g and23.96 ± 4.80 ng/g,respectively.Major anomalous peaks of HgT appear at depth of 614,731,993 and 1,107 m,which correspond to the long-term high seismic activity during crustal deformation in response to tectonic stresses.Gaseous elemental mercury dissolved in drilling mud was also analyzed.We found fluid inflow zones with high GEM at depths of 590-750 m,suggesting that fluid-filled ruptures exist in the LMS fault zone.It indicates that mercury provides geochemical evidence for inflow zones and ruptures/fault zones in the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 earthquake fault.Yang Duoxing Zhang Lei Liu Yaowei Ren Hongwei Xie Furen Chen Gangcai 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,2:5
2Large-scale Multi-modal Pre-trained Models: A Comprehensive Survey显示文摘With the urgent demand for generalized deep models,many pre-trained big models are proposed,such as bidirectional encoder representations(BERT),vision transformer(ViT),generative pre-trained transformers(GPT),etc.Inspired by the success of these models in single domains(like computer vision and natural language processing),the multi-modal pre-trained big models have also drawn more and more attention in recent years.In this work,we give a comprehensive survey of these models and hope this paper could provide new insights and helps fresh researchers to track the most cutting-edge works.Specifically,we firstly introduce the background of multi-modal pre-training by reviewing the conventional deep learning,pre-training works in natural language process,computer vision,and speech.Then,we introduce the task definition,key challenges,and advantages of multi-modal pre-training models(MM-PTMs),and discuss the MM-PTMs with a focus on data,objectives,network architectures,and knowledge enhanced pre-training.After that,we introduce the downstream tasks used for the validation of large-scale MM-PTMs,including generative,classification,and regression tasks.We also give visualization and analysis of the model parameters and results on representative downstream tasks.Finally,we point out possible research directions for this topic that may benefit future works.In addition,we maintain a continuously updated paper list for large-scale pre-trained multi-modal big models:http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asx9wkvckffpkv6xcw.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/wangxiao5791509/MultiModal_BigModels_Survey.Xiao Wang Guangyao Chen Guangwu Qian Pengcheng Gao Xiao-Yong Wei Yaowei Wang Yonghong Tian Wen Gao 2023Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,4:3
3High-performance SSZ-13 membranes prepared using ball-milled nanosized seeds for carbon dioxide and nitrogen separations from methane显示文摘SSZ-13 membranes with high separation performances were prepared using ball-milled nanosized seeds by once hydrothermal synthesis.Separation performances of SSZ-13 membranes in CO2/CH4 and N2/CH4 mixtures were enhanced after synthesis modification.Single-gas permeances of CO2,N2 and CH4 and ideal selectivities were recorded through SSZ-13 membranes.The effects of temperature,pressure,feed flow rate and humidity on separation performance of the membranes were discussed.Three membranes prepared after synthesis modifications had an average CO2 permeance of 1.16×10-6 mol·(m2·s·Pa)-1(equal to 3554 GPU)with an average CO2/CH4 selectivity of 213 in a 50 vol%/50 vol%CO2/CH4 mixture.It suggests that membrane synthesis has a good reproducible.The membrane also displayed a N2 permeance of 1.07×10-7 mol·(m2·s·Pa)-1(equal to 320 GPU)with a N2/CH4 selectivity of 13 for a 50 vol%/50 vol%N2/CH4 mixture.SSZ-13 membrane displayed stable and good separation performance in the wet CO2/CH4 mixture for a long test period over 100 h at 348 K.The current SSZ-13 membranes show great potentials for the simultaneous removals of CO2 and N2 in natural gas purification as a facile process suitable for industrial application.Xinping Li Yaowei Wang Tangyin Wu Shichao Song Bin Wang Shenglai Zhong Rongfei Zhou 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,5:3
4The Matrix Stiffness and Physical Confinement of Hydrogel Microchannel Jointly Induce the Mesenchymal-Amoeboid Transition for Cancer Cell Migration显示文摘The migration mode transition of cancer cell enhances its invasive capability and the drug resistance,where physical confinement of cell microenvironment has been revealed to induce the mesenchymal-amoeboid transition(MAT).However,most existing studies are performed in PDMS microchannels,of which the stiffness is much higher than that of most mammalian tissues.Therefore,the amoeboid migration transition observed in these studies is actually induced by the synergistic effect of matrix stiffness and confinement.Since the stiffness of cell microenvironment has been reported to influence the cell migration in 2D substrate,the decoupling of stiffness and confinement effects is thus in need for elucidating the underlying mechanism of MAT.However,it is technically challenging to construct microchannels with physiologically relevant stiffness and channel size,where existing microchannel platforms with physiological relevance stiffness are all with>10μm channel width.Such size is too wide to mimic the physical confinement that migrating cancer cells confront in vivo,and also larger than the width of PDMS channel,in which the MAT of cancer cell was observed.Therefore,an in vitro cell migration platform,which could mimic both stiffness and confinement of the native physical microenvironment during cancer metastasis,could profoundly contribute to researches on cancer cell migration and cellular mechanotransduction.In this paper,we overcome the limitations of engineering soft materials in microscale by combining the collagen-alginate hydrogel with photolithography.This enables us to improve the accuracy of molded microchannel,and thus successfully construct a 3D microchannel platform,which matches the stiffness and width ranges of native environmental confinement that migrating cancer cells confront in vivo.The stiffness(0.3~20 kPa),confinement(channel width:3.5~14μm)and the adhesion ligand density of the microchannel can be tuned independently.Interestingly,using this platform,we observed that the migration speed of cancer cell is influenced by the synergistic effect of channel stiffness and width,and the increasing stiffness reverses the effect of channel width on the migration speed of cancer cells.In addition,MAT has a strong correlation with the channel stiffness.These findings make us reconsider the widely accepted hypothesis:physical confinement can induce MAT.Actually,this transition can only occur in stiff confined microenvironment not in soft one.For soft microchannels,the compliance of the channel walls could cause little cell/nucleus deformation,and the MAT could not be induced.To further investigate the mechanism of MAT,we developed a computational model to simulate the effect of nucleus deformation on MAT.With the model,we found that deforming the cell nuclear by decreasing the nucleus stiffness will reduce the cellmigration speed.This implies that nuclear stiffness plays an important role in the regulation of cancer migration speed and thus MAT in microchannels.The effect of channel stiffness on MAT and migration speed as observed in our experiment could partially explain previous findings reported in the literature,where the increasing matrix stiffness of tumor microenvironment promotes cancer metastasis.Our observations thus highlight the critical role of cell nuclear deformation not only in MAT,but also in regulating cellular mechanotransduction and cell-ECM interactions.This developed platform is capable of mimicking the native physical microenvironment during metastasis,providing a powerful tool for high-throughput screening applications and investigating the interaction between cancer migration and biophysical microenvironment.Meng Wang Bo Cheng Yaowei Yang Han Liu Guoyou Huang Fei Li Feng Xu 2019医用生物力学2019,34,A01:2
5High-zirconium bulk metallic glasses with high strength and large ductility显示文摘In this paper,high-zirconium Zr66+2xAl9-x(Ni1/3Cu2/3) 25-x(x=0,1,2 at.%) bulk metallic glasses with high strength and large ductility were fabricated by copper mould casting.The effects of zirconium content on the glass-forming ability(GFA),thermal properties and mechanical properties were investigated using X-ray diffractometer(XRD),differential scanning calorimeter(DSC),and mechanical testing system in compressive and three-point bending modes,respectively.The high-zirconium BMGs show the critical diameters of 3-5 mm,the supercooled liquid region ranging from 70 K to 99 K,and the yield strength of over 1700 MPa.The Zr 70 Al 7(Ni1/3Cu2/3) 23 BMG exhibits a large compressive plastic strain up to 21% and a high notch toughness value of 60.6 MPa m 1/2.The increase in Zr content results in the decrease in GFA and thermostability,and in the improvement of plasticity under compressive and three-point bending conditions.The superior plasticity of high-zirconium BMGs is attributed to their high Poisson's ratio and small elastic modulus ratio /B.YANG YaoWei HUA NengBin LI Ran PANG ShuJie ZHANG Tao 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,3:2

7Integrated method for measuring distance and time difference between small satellites显示文摘The advancement of small satellites is promoting the development of distributed satellite systems,and for the latter,it is essential to coordinate the spatial and temporal relations between mutually visible satellites.By now,dual one-way ranging(DOWR)and two-way time transfer(TWTT)are generally integrated in the same software and hardware system to meet the limitations of small satellites in terms of size,weight and power(SWaP)consumption.However,studies show that pseudo-noise regenerative ranging(PNRR)performs better than DOWR if some advanced implementation technologies are employed.Besides,PNRR has no requirement on time synchronization.To apply PNRR to small satellites,and meanwhile,meet the demand for time difference measurement,we propose the round-way time difference measurement,which can be combined with PNRR to form a new integrated system without exceeding the limits of SWaP.The new integrated system can provide distributed small satellite systems with on-orbit high-accuracy and high-precision distance measurement and time difference measurement in real time.Experimental results show that the precision of ranging is about 1.94 cm,and that of time difference measurement is about 78.4 ps,at the signal to noise ratio of 80 dBHz.ZHU Yaowei XU Zhaobin JIN Xiaojun GUO Xiaoxu JIN Zhonghe 2021Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2021,32,3:1

15Generation of VP5 deficient mutant of infectious bursal disease virus strain HZ2显示文摘Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) is a bi-segmented, dsRNA virus of the Birnaviridae family. The nonstructural protein VP5 has been re- ported to be associated with virus-induced cell apoptosis and pathogenicity, but its role in viral rep- lication has not been unequivocally identified. Based on a PCR introduced mutagenesis strategy, the 33 bp of 96―129 bp located between ORF A1and ORF A2 of genomic segment A of IBDV strain HZ2 were de- leted, and an Nhe I (GcTaGc) site was inserted at 96―102 bp simultaneously. The mutated segment A was ligated into pCI, resulting in pCI-ANhe3. A chi- meric and deficient IBDV strain, named strain ANhe3, was recovered from chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) cells by co-transfection with pCI-ANhe3 and pCI-mB, derived from the genomic segment B strain HZ2. The indirect fluorescent assay identified that strain ANhe3 could replicate on CEF cells without expression of VP5. Further examination showed that the patho- genesis of strain ANhe3 replicating on SPF chicken embryos was attenuated compared to strain HZ2. This paper provides a new rapid rescue strategy for gene-deleted virus.
