| 1 | A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. | 4 | Hepatic metabolomics combined with network pharmacology to reveal the correlation between the anti-depression effect and nourishing blood effect of Angelicae Sinensis Radix显示文摘Angelicae Sinensis Radix(AS)is reproted to exert anti-depression effect(ADE)and nourishing blood effect(NBE)in a rat model of depression.The correlation between the two therapeutic effects and its underlying mechanisms deserves further study.The current study is designed to explore the underlying mechanisms of correlation between the ADE and NBE of AS based on hepatic metabonomics,network pharmacology and molecular docking.According to metabolomics analysis,30 metabolites involved in 11 metabolic pathways were identified as the potential metabolites for depression.Furthermore,principal component analysis and correlation analysis showed that glutathione,sphinganine,and ornithine were related to pharmacodynamics indicators including behavioral indicators and hematological indicators,indicating that metabolic pathways such as sphingolipid metabolism were involved in the ADE and NBE of AS.Then,a target-pathway network of depression and blood deficiency syndrome was constructed by network pharmacology analysis,where a total of 107 pathways were collected.Moreover,37 active components obtained from Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Triple-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer(UPLC-Triple-TOF/MS)in AS extract that passed the filtering criteria were used for network pharmacology,where 46 targets were associated with the ADE and NBE of AS.Pathway enrichment analysis further indicated the involvement of sphingolipid metabolism in the ADE and NBE of AS.Molecular docking analysis indciated that E-ligustilide in AS extract exhibited strong binding activity with target proteins(PIK3CA and PIK3CD)in sphingolipid metabolism.Further analysis by Western blot verified that AS regulated the expression of PIK3CA and PIK3CD on sphingolipid metabolism.Our results demonstrated that sphingolipid metabolic pathway was the core mechanism of the correlation between the ADE and NBE of AS. | GONG Wenxia XU Shaohua SONG Yapeng ZHOU Yuzhi QIN Xuemei | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,3: | 1 |
| 5 | Enhanced triallyl isocyanurate(TAIC)degradation through application of an 03/UV process:Performance optimization and degradation pathways显示文摘Triallyl isocyanurate(TAIC,C12H15N3O3)has featured in wastewater treatment as a refractory organic compound due to the significant production capability and negative environmental impact.TAIC degradation was enhanced when an ozone(O3)/ultraviolet(UV)process was applied compared with the application of an independent O3 process.Although 99%of TAIC could be degraded in 5 min during both processes,the O3/UV process had a 70%mineralization rate that was much higher than that of the independent O3 process(9%)in 30 min.Four possible degradation pathways were proposed based on the organic compounds of intermediate products identified during TAIC degradation through the application of independent 03 and O3/UV processes.pH impacted both the direct and indirect oxidation processes.Acidic and alkaline conditions preferred direct and indirect reactions respectively,with a pH of 9 achieving maximum Total Organic Carbon(TOC)removal.Both CO32-and HCO3-decreased TOC removal,however only CO32-negatively impacted TAIC degradation.Effects of Cl-as a radical scavenger became more marked only at high concentrations(over 500 mg/L Cl-).Particulate and suspended matter could hinder the transmission of ultraviolet light and reduce the production of HO·accordingly. | Yapeng Song Hui Gong Jianbing Wang Fengmin Chang Kaijun Wang | 2020 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,4: | 0 |
| 6 | The eQTL colocalization and transcriptome‑wide association study identify potentially causal genes responsible for economic traits in Simmental beef cattle显示文摘Background A detailed understanding of genetic variants that affect beef merit helps maximize the efficiency of breeding for improved production merit in beef cattle.To prioritize the putative variants and genes,we ran a com-prehensive genome-wide association studies(GWAS)analysis for 21 agronomic traits using imputed whole-genome variants in Simmental beef cattle.Then,we applied expression quantitative trait loci(eQTL)mapping between the genotype variants and transcriptome of three tissues(longissimus dorsi muscle,backfat,and liver)in 120 cattle.Results We identified 1,580 association signals for 21 beef agronomic traits using GWAS.We then illuminated 854,498 cis-eQTLs for 6,017 genes and 46,970 trans-eQTLs for 1,903 genes in three tissues and built a synergistic network by integrating transcriptomics with agronomic traits.These cis-eQTLs were preferentially close to the transcription start site and enriched in functional regulatory regions.We observed an average of 43.5%improvement in cis-eQTL discovery using multi-tissue eQTL mapping.Fine-mapping analysis revealed that 111,192,and 194 variants were most likely to be causative to regulate gene expression in backfat,liver,and muscle,respectively.The transcriptome-wide association studies identified 722 genes significantly associated with 11 agronomic traits.Via the colocalization and Mendelian randomization analyses,we found that eQTLs of several genes were associated with the GWAS signals of agronomic traits in three tissues,which included genes,such as NADSYN1,NDUFS3,LTF and KIFC2 in liver,GRAMD1C,TMTC2 and ZNF613 in backfat,as well as TIGAR,NDUFS3 and L3HYPDH in muscle that could serve as the candidate genes for economic traits.Conclusions The extensive atlas of GWAS,eQTL,fine-mapping,and transcriptome-wide association studies aid in the suggestion of potentially functional variants and genes in cattle agronomic traits and will be an invaluable source for genomics and breeding in beef cattle. | Wentao Cai Yapeng Zhang Tianpeng Chang Zezhao Wang Bo Zhu Yan Chen Xue Gao Lingyang Xu Lupei Zhang Huijiang Gao Jiuzhou Song Junya Li | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,5: | 0 |
