Deactivation mechanism of beta-zeolite catalyst for synthesis of cumene by benzene alkylation with isopropanol显示文摘The alkylation of benzene with isopropanol over beta-zeolite is a more cost-effective solution to cumene production. During the benzene alkylation cycles, the cumene selectivity slowly increased, while the benzene conversion presented the sharp decrease due to catalyst deactivation. The deactivation mechanism of betazeolite catalyst was investigated by characterizing the fresh and used catalysts. The XRD, SEM and TEM results show that the crystalline and particle size of the beta-zeolite catalyst almost remained stable during the alkylation cycles. The drop in catalytic activity and benzene conversion could be explained by the TG, BET,NH_3-TPD and GC–MS results. The organic matters mainly consisted of ethylbenzene, p-xylene and 1-ethyl-3-(1-methyl) benzene produced in the benzene alkylation deposited in the catalyst, which strongly reduced the specific surface area of beta-zeolite catalyst. Moreover, during the reaction cycles, the amount of acidity also significantly decreased. As a result, the catalyst deactivation occurred. To maintain the catalytic performance, the catalyst regeneration was carried out by using ethanol rinse and calcination. The deactivated catalyst could be effectively regenerated by the calcination method and the good catalytic performance was obtained.Yefei Liu Yang Zou Hong Jiang Huanxin Gao Rizhi Chen 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,9:4
Structure regulation for ultra-high luminescence quantum yield lanthanide complex and simultaneous detection of cancer marker and ferrous ion显示文摘The exploitation of a highly selective and sensitive probe to detect both cancer marker and metal ion is of great importance. In this work, the 'one stone two bird' agent of 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) is designed to disrupt the polymeric lanthanide MOFs(LnMOFs,[Ln(CHO_(2))_(3)]n,Ln=Tb,la;Eu,1 b,CHO_(2)=formic acid) {[Ln(CHO_(2))_(4)·(C_(2) H_(8) N)]n,Ln=Y,2 a;Gd,2 b;Dy,2 c,C_(2)H_(8) N=dimethylamine}) into a soluble mononuclear species [Ln(phen)_(2)(NO_(3))_(3),Ln=Tb,3 a;Eu,3 b] as well as to provide an antenna for efficient photons absorption, resulting in an ultra-high luminescence quantum yield(QY,90%) europium complex. The luminescence QY is among the highest record of monomeric(zero-dimensional) lanthanide complexes.Furthermore, mononuclear Tb3+complex(3 a) functions as a multiplex sensor towards both Fe^(2+)and cancer marker of 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid(5-HIAA).Importantly,the limit of detection(LOD)for sensing 5-HIAA is an ultra-sensitive value of 1 × 10 s mol/L,which is even lower than that necessary for the early diagnosis of carcinoid tumors.More interestingly, sensing results in simulated urine reveals that 3 a has potential application for early diagnosis in the clinic.Min Liu Zhifeng Li Jianhui Xiong Yefei Jiang Ting Tang Jinkai Qiu Junwei Yao Seik Weng Ng Chenghui Zeng 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,10:3
Phenol hydrogenation to cyclohexanone over palladium nanoparticles loaded on charming activated carbon adjusted by facile heat treatment显示文摘Selective phenol hydrogenation is a green approach to produce cyclohexanone. It still remains a big challenge to prepare efficient supports of the catalysts for the phenol hydrogenation via a simple and cost-effective approach.Herein,a facile approach was developed,i.e.,direct calcination of activated carbon(AC)under argon at high temperature,to improve its structure and surface properties. The modified AC materials were supported with Pd nanoparticles(NPs)to fabricate the Pd/C catalysts. The as-prepared Pd/C600 catalyst exhibits superior catalytic performance in the phenol hydrogenation, and its turnover frequency(TOF)value is 199.2 h^-1,1.31 times to that of Pd/C-raw.The Pd/C600 catalyst presents both better hydrophobicity and more structural defects, contributing to the improved dispersibility in the reaction solution(phenol-cyclohexane),the better Pd dispersion and the smaller Pd size, which result in the enhancement of the catalytic performance.Furthermore, the as-prepared Pd/C600 catalyst shows a good recyclability.Chunhua Zhang Guangxin Yang Hong Jiang Yefei Liu Rizhi Chen Weihong Xing 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,10:2
Role of trace additions of Ca and Sn in improving the corrosion resistance of Mg-3Al-1Zn alloy显示文摘The limited wide applicability of commercial Mg alloys is mainly attributed to the poor corrosion resistance.Addition of alloying elements is the simplest and effective method to improve the corrosion properties.Based on the low-cost alloy composition design, the corro-sion behavior of commercial Mg-3Al-1Zn(AZ31)alloy bearing minor Ca or Sn element was characterized by scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy, hydrogen evolution, electrochemical measurements, and corrosion morphology analysis. Results revealed that the potential differ-ence of Al_(2)Ca/α-Mg and Mg_(2)Sn/α-Mg was(230±19)mV and(80±6)mV,respectively,much lower than that of Al_(8)Mn_(5)/α-Mg(430±31)mV in AZ31 alloy, which illustrated that AZ31-0.2Sn alloy performed the best corrosion resistance, followed by AZ31-0.2Ca,while AZ31 al-loy exhibited the worst corrosion resistance. Moreover,Sn dissolved into matrix obviously increased the potential ofα-Mg and participated in the formation of dense SnO_(2) film at the interface of matrix, while Ca element was enriched in the corrosion product layer, resulting in the cor-rosion product layer of AZ31-0.2Ca/Sn alloys more compact, stable, and protective than AZ31 alloy.Therefore,AZ31 alloy bearing 0.2wt%Ca or Sn element exhibited excellent balanced properties, which is potential to be applied in commercial more comprehensively.Panpan Wang Haitao Jiang Yujiao Wang Yun Zhang Shiwei Tian Yefei Zhang Zhiming Cao 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,8:1
Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions, tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time(LSST) that monitors the southern sky.Tinggui Wang Guilin Liu Zhenyi Cai Jinjun Geng Min Fang Haoning He Ji-an Jiang Ning Jiang Xu Kong Bin Li Ye Li Wentao Luo Zhizheng Pan Xuefeng Wu Ji Yang Jiming Yu Xianzhong Zheng Qingfeng Zhu Yi-Fu Cai Yuanyuan Chen Zhiwei Chen Zigao Dai Lulu Fan Yizhong Fan Wenjuan Fang Zhicheng He Lei Hu Maokai Hu Zhiping Jin Zhibo Jiang Guoliang Li Fan Li Xuzhi Li Runduo Liang Zheyu Lin Qingzhong Liu Wenhao Liu Zhengyan Liu Wei Liu Yao Liu Zheng Lou Han Qu Zhenfeng Sheng Jianchun Shi Yiping Shu Zhenbo Su Tianrui Sun Hongchi Wang Huiyuan Wang Jian Wang Junxian Wang Daming Wei Junjie Wei Yongquan Xue Jingzhi Yan Chao Yang Ye Yuan Yefei Yuan Hongxin Zhang Miaomiao Zhang Haibin Zhao Wen Zhao 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,10:1
Accretion in strong field gravity with eXTP显示文摘In this paper we describe the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to accretion flows in the strong field gravity regime around both stellar-mass and supermassive black-holes. eXTP has the unique capability of using advanced 'spectral-timing-polarimetry' techniques to analyze the rapid variations with three orthogonal diagnostics of the flow and its geometry, yielding unprecedented insight into the inner accreting regions, the effects of strong field gravity on the material within them and the powerful outflows which are driven by the accretion process.Alessandra De Rosa Phil Uttley LiJun Gou Yuan Liu Cosimo Bambi Didier Barret Tomaso Belloni Emanuele Berti Stefano Bianchi Ilaria Caiazzo Piergiorgio Casella Marco Feroci Valeria Ferrari Leonardo Gualtieri Jeremy Heyl Adam Ingram Vladimir Karas FangJun Lu Bin Luo Giorgio Matt Sara Motta Joseph Neilsen Paolo Pani Andrea Santangelo XinWen Shu JunFeng Wang Jian-Min Wang YongQuan Xue YuPeng Xu WeiMin Yuan YeFei Yuan Shuang-Nan Zhang Shu Zhang Ivan Agudo Lorenzo Amati Nils Andersson Cristina Baglio Pavel Bakala Altan Baykal Sudip Bhattacharyya Ignazio Bombaci NiccolóBucciantini Fiamma Capitanio Riccardo Ciolfi Wei K.Cui Filippo D'Ammando Thomas Dauser Melania Del Santo Barbara De Marco Tiziana Di Salvo Chris Done Michal Dovciak Andrew C.Fabian Maurizio Falanga Angelo Francesco Gambino Bruce Gendre Victoria Grinberg Alexander Heger Jeroen Homan Rosario Iaria JiaChen Jiang ChiChuan Jin Elmar Koerding Manu Linares Zhu Liu Thomas J.Maccarone Julien Malzac Antonios Manousakis Frédéric Marin Andea Marinucci Missagh Mehdipour Mariano Méndez Simone Migliari Cole Miller Giovanni Miniutti Emanuele Nardini Paul T.O'Brien Julian P.Osborne Pierre Olivier Petrucci Andrea Possenti Alessandro Riggio Jerome Rodriguez Andrea Sanna LiJing Shao Malgosia Sobolewska Eva Sramkova Abigail L.Stevens Holger Stiele Giulia Stratta Zdenek Stuchlik Jiri Svoboda Fabrizio Tamburini Thomas M.Tauris Francesco Tombesi Gabriel Torok Martin Urbanec Frederic Vincent QingWen Wu Feng Yuan Jean J.M.in't Zand Andrzej A.Zdziarski XinLin Zhou 2019Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,2:1
Zinc reverses glycine-dependent inactivation of NMDARs in cultured rat hippocampal neurons显示文摘In the presence of glutamate and co-agonists, e.g., glycine, the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) plays an important role in physiological and pathophysiological brain processes. Previous studies indicate glycine could inhibit NMDAR responses induced by high concentration of NMDA in hippocampal neurons. The mechanism underlying this inhibitory impact, how- ever, has been unclear. In this study, the whole-cell patch-clamp recording and Ca 2+ imaging with Fluo-3/AM under laser scanning confocal microscope were used to analyze the possible involvement of NMDAR subunits in this effect. We found that the peak current of NMDARs and Ca 2+ influx induced by high concentration of NMDA were reduced by treatment of glycine (0.03-10 mol L 1 ) in a dose-dependent manner, and that the glycine-dependent inhibition of NMDAR responses, which were induced at 300 mol L 1 NMDA, was reversed by ZnCl 2 through the blocking of the NR2A subunit of NMDARs, but was less influenced by ifenprodil, a NR2B inhibitor. Our results suggest that the glycine-dependent inactivation of NMDARs is potentially modulated by the regulatory subunit NR2A.LI Xia CHEN ZhaoQin JIANG Zheng LI YeFei ZHANG YunFeng 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,12:0
Treatment of Alzheimer's disease with small-molecule photosensitizers显示文摘Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that signals for excessβ-amyloid(Aβ)aggregation.Although people have made great attempts to control the aggregation of Aβ,no effective medications have been produced yet.Due to its excellent temporal and spatial selectivity, photodynamic treatment has been gradually employed and interfered in the aggregation process of Aβ,with some achievement. To enhance the research and application of photodynamic therapy in Alzheimer's disease, this paper reviews the progress of small-molecule photosensitizers in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease in recent years and outlines existing tactics and potential obstacles.Yefei Jiang Zhiyong Zeng Jianhua Yao Ying Guan Peipei Jia Xiaoli Zhao Lin Xu 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:0
