Pediatric patients in the new wave of SARS‑CoV‑2 infection in Shanghai,China显示文摘Since March 28,2022,Shanghai has become the new COVID-19 epicenter in China, with more than 500,000 COVID-19 cases until May 5th,2022,of which more than 90%are asymptomatic.More than 12,000 children in Shanghai were infected with COVID-19 during the current Omicron wave, which was characterized by family clustering.Because an increasing number of symptomatic children are required to be hospitalized, four major pediatric medical centers in Shanghai and other general hospitals were designated for admitting symptomatic pediatric COVID-19 cases in the early April. There were approximately 3,500 pediatric cases admitted from April 1st until May 5th,2022.Jian‑Guo Zhou Yan‑Ming Lu Li‑Bo Wang Hui Yu Ting Zhang Yi‑Wei Chen Wen‑Hao Zhou 2022World Journal of Pediatrics2022,18,9:0
The effects of health Qigong Baduanjin on the prevention, treatment, and recovery of COVID‑19显示文摘To summarize the application and modern studies on health Qigong Baduanjin by domestic and foreign scholars, combined them with clinical practice of mobile hospital in Wuhan,we explore the prevention, treatment, and recovery of Baduanjin in the war against COVID‑19.On the basis of studying ancient classics, such as Huangdi’s Internal Classic, and the concrete exercise methods of Baduanjin,we propose three ideas:prevention before disease onset, promoting healing during illness, and strengthening the body after recovery. We aimed to give full play to Baduanjin in the battle against COVID‑19 to popularize correct prevention and health knowledge for the patients and the healthy as well as to provide a reference for medical workers to use Traditional Chinese Medicine to prevention and treatment.Yi‑Zhen HAN Meng‑Wei FU Zi‑Jie CHEN Fei‑Hong REN Dan‑Dan XIE Jing‑Lei LI Si‑Yu ZHAO Qian SHEN 2020Journal of Integrative Nursing2020,2,2:2
A Preliminary Study on Anti-Colorectal Cancer Effect and Molecular Mechanism of Aegiceras Corniculatum Extract显示文摘Objective:To study the inhibitory effects on colorectal cancer(CRC)and the underlying mechanism of the petroleum ether extract of Aegiceras corniculatum leaves(PACL).Materials and Methods:The effect of PACL on the proliferation of CRC cell lines DLD-1,HT-29,and SW480was measured by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium assay and colony-forming assay. And then,a wound-healing assay was used to measure the migration ability of three CRC cells. The cell cycle and apoptosis of three CRC cells were measured by PI/RNase staining and annexin V-FITC/double staining, respectively, and the intrinsic apoptosis pathway was studied by the Western blot. The anti-CRC effect of PACL in vivo was evaluated by HT-29 xenograft zebrafish embryos. Results:PACL inhibited cell viability and proliferation in DLD-1,HT-29,and SW480 cells in a dose-and time-dependent manner.PACL can inhibit cell migration in DLD-1and SW480 cells but not in the less mobile phenotype cell HT-29.PACL treatment resulted in cell cycle arrest of DLD-1 and HT-29 cells in the G2/M phase. Moreover,PACL can induce apoptosis in all three CRC cells, which may be achieved by regulating the intrinsic apoptosis pathway mediated by mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum.Interestingly, the tumor sizes were decreased after treatment with PACL and PACL combined with fluorouracil in HT-29 xenograft zebrafish embryos. Conclusions:These findings suggested that PACL may exert its anti-CRC effect by inducing apoptosis through the intrinsic apoptosis pathway and show a significant anti-CRC effect in vitro and in vivo,so it might be potentially developed as an anti-CRC agent.De‑Chao Tan Xiao‑Tao Hou Hua Luo Yi‑Wei Chen Zheng‑Cai Du Jin‑Ling Xie Lin‑Yao Wei Chi-Teng Vong Xiao‑Yan Wen Er‑Wei Hao Jia‑Gang Deng 2023World Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,9,4:0
Bioorthogonal Engineered Virus‑Like Nanoparticles for Efficient Gene Therapy显示文摘Gene therapy offers potentially transformative strategies for major human diseases. However, one of the key challenges in gene therapy is developing an effective strategy that could deliver genes into the specific tissue. Here,we report a novel virus-like nanoparticle, the bioorthgonal engineered viruslike recombinant biosome(reBiosome),for efficient gene therapies of cancer and inflammatory diseases. The mutant virus-like biosome(mBiosome)is first prepared by site-specific codon mutation for displaying 4-azido-L-phenylalanine on vesicular stomatitis virus glycoprotein of eBiosome at a rational site, and the reBiosome is then prepared by clicking weak acid-responsive hydrophilic polymer onto the mBiosome via bioorthogonal chemistry. The results show that the reBiosome exhibits reduced virus-like immunogenicity, prolonged blood circulation time and enhanced gene delivery efficiency to weakly acidic foci(like tumor and arthritic tissue).Furthermore,reBiosome demonstrates robust therapeutic efficacy in breast cancer and arthritis by delivering gene editing and silencing systems, respectively. In conclusion, this study develops a universal, safe and efficient platform for gene therapies for cancer and inflammatory diseases.Chun‑Jie Bao Jia‑Lun Duan Ying Xie Xin‑Ping Feng Wei Cui Song‑Yue Chen Pei‑Shan Li Yi‑Xuan Liu Jin‑Ling Wang Gui‑Ling Wang Wan‑Liang Lu 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,11:0
Data analysis guidelines for single‑cell RNA‑seq in biomedical studies and clinical applications显示文摘The application of single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)in biomedical research has advanced our understanding of the pathogenesis of disease and provided valuable insights into new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. With the expansion of capacity for high-throughput scRNA-seq,including clinical samples, the analysis of these huge volumes of data has become a daunting prospect for researchers entering this field. Here,we review the workflow for typical scRNA-seq data analysis, covering raw data processing and quality control, basic data analysis applicable for almost all scRNA-seq data sets, and advanced data analysis that should be tailored to specific scientific questions. While summarizing the current methods for each analysis step,we also provide an online repository of software and wrapped-up scripts to support the implementation.Recommendations and caveats are pointed out for some specific analysis tasks and approaches. We hope this resource will be helpful to researchers engaging with scRNA-seq,in particular for emerging clinical applications.Min Su Tao Pan Qiu‑Zhen Chen Wei‑Wei Zhou Yi Gong Gang Xu Huan‑Yu Yan Si Li Qiao‑Zhen Shi Ya Zhang Xiao He Chun‑Jie Jiang Shi‑Cai Fan Xia Li Murray J.Cairns Xi Wang Yong‑Sheng Li 2023Military Medical Research2023,10,4:0
Traditional Chinese medicine nursing protocols for COVID-19显示文摘In order to facilitate nurses to understand the key points of COVID‑19’s common syndromes, master the key points of nursing with syndrome differentiation, use the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing characteristics, standardize TCM nursing behavior, and improve the TCM nursing effect, through the search of relevant information, combined with the clinical practice experience of more than 1 month of front‑line anti‑epidemic nursing staff, the TCM nursing protocols for COVID‑19(draft)were formed. After four rounds of expert consultation and discussion, and 15 times of collation and revision, the final version of TCM nursing protocols for COVID‑19 was formed. The TCM nursing protocols for COVID‑19 include the following five parts:key points of common syndromes, nursing for common symptoms/syndromes,TCM special nursing, healthy guidance, and difficulties in nursing;it is scientific and practical, and can provide clinical guidance for nursing of patients with COVID‑19.Mei‑Zhen LIN Qiao‑Mei WU Yu LIU Zhong‑De ZHANG Gang‑Yi PENG Chang‑Xiu WAN Xiao‑Pan WANG Ying‑Rui MA Ping XIONG Hui‑Chao CHEN Qiu‑Ying DENG Li‑Li DENG Ding‑Rong QIU Lin WEI Jiu‑Hong YOU Yang‑Chen LIU Guang‑Qing ZHANG Li‑Xia KOU Ming‑Ming XU Yu‑Mei CHEN Yin‑Qin ZHONG Xiao‑Qin LU Han‑Jiao LIU Jin ZHOU Hong YE Xiao‑Zhen GONG Shi‑Miao LUO Xi‑Yan HU 2020Journal of Integrative Nursing2020,2,2:0

Measurement of Br(n,γ)cross sections up to stellar s-process temperatures at the CSNS Back‑n显示文摘The neutron capture cross sections(n,γ)of bromine were obtained using the time-of-flight technique at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron Source.Promptγ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected using four C_(6)D_(6) detectors. The pulse-height weighting technique and double-bunch unfolding method based on Bayesian theory were used in the data analysis. Background deductions, normalization, and corrections were carefully considered to obtain reliable measurement results. The multilevel R-matrix Bayesian code SAMMY was used to extract the resonance parameters in the resolved resonance region(RRR).The average cross sections in the unresolved resonance region(URR)were obtained from 10 to 400 keV.The experimental results were compared with data from several evaluated libraries and previous experi-ments in the RRR and URR.The TALYS code was used to describe the average cross sections in the URR.The astrophysical Maxwell average cross sections(MACSs)of ^(79,81)Br from kT=5 to 100 keV were calculated over a sufficiently wide range of neutron energies. At a thermal energy of kT=30 keV,the MACS value for ^(79)Br 682±68 mb was in good agreement with the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value.By contrast, the value of 293±29 mb for ^(81)Br was substantially higher than that of the evaluated database and the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value.Gao‑Le Yang Zhen‑Dong An Wei Jiang Xian‑Kai Li Wei‑Wei Qiu Zheng‑Fa Liao Zi‑Yue Zhuang Xiao‑Ping Zhang Sheng‑Li Chen Chen‑Chen Guo Er‑Xi Xiao Xiao Fang Xin‑Xiang Li Xin‑Rong Hu Bing Jiang Jin‑Cheng Wang Jie Ren Wen Luo Zhi‑Chao Zhu Hao‑Yang Lan Zong‑Wei Cao Xu Ma Ying‑Du Liu Pu‑Sen Wang Yi Yang Ping Su Xian‑Gai Deng Wan‑Bing He Chun‑Wang Ma Yu‑Ting Wang Zhi‑Tao Dai Peng‑Qin He Ren‑Guang Tang Tao Zhou Jing Wang Han Yi Yue Zhang Yong‑Hao Chen Rui‑Rui Fan Ke‑Qing Gao Qiang Li Kang Sun Zhi‑Xin Tan Min‑Hao Gu Han‑Tao Jing Jing‑Yu Tang 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,11:0
