| 1 | A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. | 8 | Role of vasoactive intestinal peptide and nitric oxide in the modulation of electroacupucture on gastric motility in stressed rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects and mechanisms of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) and nitric oxide (NO) in the modulation of electroacupucture (EA) on gastric motility in restrained-cold stressed rats. METHODS: An animal model of gastric motility disorder was established by restrained-cold stress. Gastric myoelectric activities were recorded by electrogastroent erography (EGG). VIP and NO concentrations in plasma and gastric mucosal and bulb tissues were detected by radioimmunoassay (RIA). VIP expression in the gastric walls was assayed using avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex (ABC) and image analysis. RESULTS: In cold restrained stressed rats, EGG was disordered and irregular. The frequency and amplitude of gastric motility were higher than that in control group (P < 0.01). VIP and NO contents of plasma, gastric mucosal and bulb tissues were obviously decreased (P < 0.01). Following EA at “Zusanli” (ST36), the frequency and amplitude of gastric motility were obviously lowered (P < 0.01), while the levels of VIP and NO in plasma, gastric mucosal and bulb tissues increased strikingly (P < 0.01, P < 0.05) and expression of VIP in antral smooth muscle was elevated significantly (P < 0.01) in comparison with those of model group. CONCLUSION: VIP and NO participate in the modulatory effect of EA on gastric motility. | 11 | Chemical composition and source apportionment of the ambient PM_(2.5)in Hangzhou,China显示文摘To identify and apportion the sources of the ambient PM_(2.5) in the urban area of Hangzhou,China,PM_(2.5)samples were collected at three sites in the city from April 2004 to March 2005.Water-soluble ions,metal elements,and total carbon(TC) in PM_(2.5) samples were analyzed.The results indicated that the 24-h mean concentrations of PM_(2.5) ranged from 17.1 to 267.0 μg/m^3,with an annual average value of 108.2 μg/m^3.Moreover,the seasonal mean values for PM_(2.5) in spring,summer,autumn,and winter were 116,73.1,114.2,and 136.0 μg/m^3.respectively.According to the Chinese ambient quality standard,at least 70% of the monitoring data exceeded the limit value.The total contribution of water-soluble ions,including F^-,Cl^-,NO_3^-,SO_4^(2-).NH_4^+,K^+,and Na^+.to PM_(2.5) mass varied from 32.3% to 36.7%.SO_4^(2-),NO_3^-,and NH_4^+were the main constituents of the ions,with contributions to PM_(2.5) varying from 14.1% to 14.7%,6.0%to 7.8%,and 6.4% to 7.7%,respectively.In addition,the annual mean mass fraction of TC in PM_(2.5) was27.8%.The annual average total contribution of the group of elements of Zn,Pb,Cu,Mn,Cr,Ni,Se,Mo.Cd,Sb,and Ag to the aerosol was in the range of 1.7-2.0%.Furthermore,positive matrix factorization was applied to analyze the PM_(2.5) data collected from the central area,and five factors were identified.The factor contributions to PM_(2.5) mass were 12.8%,31.9%,10.1%,17.2%,and 27.9%,respectively.Iron/steel manufacturing and secondary aerosol were the main sources for the fine particles.These findings may have significance for controlling the atmospheric contamination in the city. | Gang Liu Jiuhai Li Dan Wu Hui Xu | 2015 | Particuology2015,13,1: | 26 |

| 19 | Effects of Urea and Controlled Release Urea Fertilizers on Methane Emission from Paddy Fields: A Multi-Year Field Study显示文摘A four-year(2008–2011) field study was implemented in a major rice-growing region of China to better understand the effect of urea and controlled release fertilier(CRF, thermoplastic resin-coated urea in this study) on CH4 emission from paddy fields. Over the four years, the average CH4 emission during the rice growing seasons was 76.9, 65.8 and 64.9 kg CH4ha-1in treatments CK(zero N), U(urea) and C(CRF), respectively. Urea and CRF significantly reduced CH4 emission by 14.4% and 15.6%, and increased average rice grain yield by 25.8% and 19.7%(P < 0.05), respectively, compared with treatment CK. Flooding duration would affect CRF's effect on CH4 emission from paddy fields. Under normal aeration conditions, CH4 emission tended to be 3.9%–15.2% lower in treatment C than in treatment U from 2009 to 2011, while it tended to be 4.2% higher under delayed aeration conditions in 2008. The findings suggest that mid-season aeration(MSA) starting on D30(30 days after rice transplanting), just like the local practice, would optimize the CRF's effect on CH4 emission from rice fields in China. | 20 | A systematic review of blockchain显示文摘Blockchain is considered by many to be a disruptive core technology.Although many researchers have realized the importance of blockchain,the research of blockchain is still in its infancy.Consequently,this study reviews the current academic research on blockchain,especially in the subject area of business and economics.Based on a systematic review of the literature retrieved from the Web of Science service,we explore the top-cited articles,most productive countries,and most common keywords.Additionally,we conduct a clustering analysis and identify the following five research themes:“economic benefit,”“blockchain technology,”“initial coin offerings,”“fintech revolution,”and“sharing economy.”Recommendations on future research directions and practical applications are also provided in this paper. | Min Xu Xingtong Chen Gang Kou | 2019 | Financial Innovation2019,5,1: | 21 |
