| 1 | MiR-30a Positively Regulates the Inflammatory Response of Microglia in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis显示文摘Multiple sclerosis(MS) is a classical inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system(CNS). Microglia are the main resident immune cells in the CNS and are closely associated with the pathogenesis of MS.In the present study, we found that mi R-30 a was highly expressed in jellyfish-like microglia in chronic active lesions of MS patients, as well as in the microglia of mice with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) at the chronic phase. In vitro, the conditioned supernatant of mouse microglia overexpressing miR-30 a promoted the apoptosis of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs), and inhibited OPC differentiation. In vivo, overexpressing miR-30 a in transplanted microglia exacerbated the progression of EAE.Overexpression and knock-down experiments in primary cultured mouse microglia showed that mi R-30 a increased the expression of IL-1 b and i NOS, which are pro-inflammatory, while inhibiting the expression of Ym-1 and CD206.Mechanistically, mi R-30 a inhibited the expression of Ppargc1 b, which is the co-activator of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, resulting in pro-inflammatory effects. | 3 | Myt1L Promotes Differentiation of Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cells and is Necessary for Remyelination After Lysolecithin-Induced Demyelination显示文摘The differentiation and maturation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs) is essential for myelination and remyelination in the CNS. The failure of OPCs to achieve terminal differentiation in demyelinating lesions often results in unsuccessful remyelination in a variety of human demyelinating diseases. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling OPC differentiation under pathological conditions remain largely unknown. Myt1 L(myelin transcription factor 1-like), mainly expressed in neurons,has been associated with intellectual disability, schizophrenia, and depression. In the present study, we found that Myt1 L was expressed in oligodendrocyte lineage cells during myelination and remyelination. The expression level of Myt1 L in neuron/glia antigen 2-positive(NG^(2+))OPCs was significantly higher than that in mature CC1^+ oligodendrocytes. In primary cultured OPCs,overexpression of Myt1 L promoted, while knockdown inhibited OPC differentiation. Moreover, Myt1 L was potently involved in promoting remyelination after lysolecithin-induced demyelination in vivo. Ch IP assays showed that Myt1 L bound to the promoter of Olig1 and transcriptionally regulated Olig1 expression. | 4 | Realization of an Optimal Dynamic Geodetic Reference Frame in China:Methodology and Applications显示文摘China Geodetic Coordinate System 2000(CGCS2000)has been used for several years as a formal published reference frame.The coordinates of all global navigation satellite system(GNSS)stations in China need to be corrected to align with the CGCS2000 frame.Different strategies can be adopted for the realization of an optimal reference frame.However,different strategies lead to different results,with differences as great as several decimeters when GNSS station coordinates are transformed into CGCS2000-defined coordinates.The two common methods for the coordinate correction of a GNSS station are quasi-stable adjustment under CGCS2000 and plate movement correction,and the differences between their results can be greater than 10 cm.In this study,a statistic method called'supervised clustering'is applied to the selection of GNSS reference stations;a new scheme named'partition spacing'for the grouping of all processed GNSS stations is proposed;and the plate movement correction method is used to correct the coordinates of all GNSS stations from the GNSS epoch to the CGCS2000 epoch.The results from the new partitioning method were found to be significantly better than those from the conventional station-blocking approach.When coordinates from the stations without grouping were used as the standard,the accuracy of all the three-dimensional coordinate components from the new partitioning method was better than 2 mm.The root mean squares(RMSs)of the velocities in the x,y,and z directions resulting from the supervised clustering method were 0.19,0.45,and 0.32 mm∙a1,respectively,which were much smaller than the values of 0.92,0.72,and 0.97 mm∙a1 that resulted from the conventional approach.In addition,singular spectrum analysis(SSA)was used to model and predict the position nonlinear movements.The modeling accuracies of SSA were better than 3,2,and 5 mm in the east(E),north(N),and up(U)directions,respectively;and its prediction accuracies were better than 5 mm and 1 cm for the horizontal and vertical domains,respectively. | Pengfei Cheng Yingyan Cheng Xiaoming Wang Suqin Wu Yantian Xu | 2020 | Engineering2020,6,8: | 5 |

| 6 | Shikimic Acid Promotes Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cell Differentiation and Accelerates Remyelination in Mice显示文摘The obstacle to successful remyelination in demyelinating diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, mainly lies in the inability of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs) to differentiate, since OPCs and oligodendrocytelineage cells that are unable to fully differentiate are found in the areas of demyelination. Thus, promoting the differentiation of OPCs is vital for the treatment of demyelinating diseases. Shikimic acid(SA) is mainly derived from star anise, and is reported to have antiinfluenza, anti-oxidation, and anti-tumor effects. In the present study, we found that SA significantly promoted the differentiation of cultured rat OPCs without affecting their proliferation and apoptosis. In mice, SA exerted therapeutic effects on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE), such as alleviating clinical EAE scores, inhibiting inflammation, and reducing demyelination in the CNS. SA also promoted the differentiation of OPCs as well as their remyelination after lysolecithin-induced demyelination.Furthermore, we showed that the promotion effect of SA on OPC differentiation was associated with the up-regulation of phosphorylated m TOR. | 7 | Update China geodetic coordinate frame considering plate motion显示文摘China Geodetic Coordinate System 2000(CGCS2000),as the formal national coordinate reference frame,has been used for 20 years.The coordinates of all Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)stations in China need referring to this system.To this end,the first step is to align the coordinates of all stations,usually included in a regional GNSS network,with a given International Terrestrial Reference Frame(ITRF),then these coordinates are corrected to the CGCS2000 in consideration of plate movement.For a better alignment result,regional control stations are needed and their coordinates were estimated from the combination of constraint-free normal equation systems provided by several International GNSS Service(IGS)analysis centers.The effect in using these refined coordinates,which deter-mine a regional coordinate datum,on the alignment result should be evaluated by the coordinate corrections of the regional control stations to the regional coordinate datum,i.e.smaller corrections mean better alignments of the two associated frames.The test results show that the refined coordinates are more accurate than the ones calculated from the station’s velocity,and are well aligned with the ITRF2005.Moreover,for obtaining the coordinates of GNSS stations in an updated CGCS2000 frame,a gridded linear velocity field based on the estimated velocities at 1025 CGCS2000 stations was generated for China's Mainland using the optimal interpolation method,the inverse distance weighting,which is selected from five interpolation methods.The overall precisions of the constructed velocity field at all stations in the East(E)and,North(N)directions are 0.78 mm/a and 0.95 mm/a,respectively.For evaluating the accuracy of the updated CGCS2000 frame,monthly solutions for the coordinates of some CGCS2000 CORS stations in the ITRF2014 during the period from 2000.0 to 2018 were obtained and the Root Mean Square(RMS)of the differences between the coordinates corrected to the CGCS2000 and the known coordinates at these stations are about 2-3 cm. | Pengfei Cheng Yingyan Cheng Xiaoming Wang Yantian Xu | 2021 | Satellite Navigation2021,2,1: | 4 |
| 8 | Identification of Differentially-expressed Genes in Intestinal Gastric Cancer by Microarray Analysis显示文摘Gastric cancer(GC) is one of the most frequent malignant tumors. In order to systematically characterize the cellular and molecular mechanisms of intestinal GC development,in this study, we used 22 K oligonucleotide microarrays and bioinformatics analysis to evaluate the gene expression profiles of GC in 45 tissue samples, including 20 intestinal GC tissue samples,20 normal appearing tissues(NATs) adjacent to tumors and 5 noncancerous gastric mucosa tissue samples. These profiles allowed us to explore the transcriptional characteristics of GC and determine the change patterns in gene expression that may be of clinical significance. 1519 and 1255 differentially-expressed genes(DEGs) were identified in intestinal GC tissues and NATs, respectively,as determined by Bayesian analysis(P < 0.001). | 9 | Cyclin-dependent Kinase 18 Promotes Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cell Differentiation through Activating the Extracellular Signal-Regulated Kinase Signaling Pathway显示文摘The correct differentiation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs) is essential for the myelination and remyelination processes in the central nervous system.Determining the regulatory mechanism is fundamental to the treatment of demyelinating diseases. By analyzing the RNA sequencing data of different neural cells, we found that cyclin-dependent kinase 18(CDK18) is exclusively expressed in oligodendrocytes. In vivo studies showed that the expression level of CDK18 gradually increased along with myelin formation during development and in the remyelination phase in a lysophosphatidylcholine-induced demyelination model, and was distinctively highly expressed in oligodendrocytes. In vitro overexpression and interference experiments revealed that CDK18 directly promotes the differentiation of OPCs, without affecting their proliferation or apoptosis. Mechanistically, CDK18 activated the RAS/mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase1/extracellular signal-regulated kinase pathway, thus promoting OPC differentiation. An obvious cathodic peak located at about-0.23 V(vs. SCE) in CV and an onset potential of-0.004 V(vs. SCE) in LSV indicate the as-prepared bi-Fe Pc/RGO nanocomposite possesses high activity which is closed to Pt/C for ORR. The ORR on bi-Fe Pc/RGO nanocomposite follows four-electron transfer pathway in alkaline medium. Compared with Pt/C, there is only a slight decrease(about 0.02 V vs. SCE) for bi-Fe Pc/RGO nanocomposite when the methanol exists. | 15 | Finite element analysis of trans-lamina cribrosa pressure difference on optic nerve head biomechanics: the Beijing Intracranial and Intraocular Pressure Study显示文摘The present study aims to assess the potential difference of biomechanical response of the optic nerve head to the same level of trans-lamina cribrosa pressure difference(TLCPD) induced by a reduced cerebrospinal fluid pressure(CSFP) or an elevated intraocular pressure(IOP). A finite element model of optic nerve head tissue(pre-and post-laminar neural tissue, lamina cribrosa, sclera, and pia mater) was constructed. Computed stresses, deformations, and strains were compared at each TLCPD step caused by reduced CSFP or elevated IOP. The results showed that elevating TLCPD increased the strain in optic nerve head,with the largest strains occurring in the neural tissue around the sclera ring. Relative to a baseline TLCPD of 10 mmHg, at a same TLCPD of 18 mmHg, the pre-laminar neural tissue experienced 11.10% first principal strain by reduced CSFP and 13.66% by elevated IOP, respectively. The corresponding values for lamina cribrosa were 6.09% and 6.91%. In conclusion, TLCPD has a significant biomechanical impact on optic nerve head tissue and, more prominently, within the pre-laminar neural tissue and lamina cribrosa. | 16 | Ground magnetic characteristics of the storm-time ring current Asymmetry显示文摘Using the minute data of the H component of geomagnetic field from the 20°E magnetic meridian chain and the 30°N magnetic latitudinal chain, the temporal evolution characteristics of the equatorial ring current during the storm on November 7-10, 2004 are studied. It is indicated that the UT-MLT and UT-MLAT graphics extremely exhibit the local time distribution, latitudinal variation and temporal evo- lution of the H component. The results show: (1) The UT-MLT contour clearly shows the increasing of the H component mostly around noon during the initial phase, representing the geomagnetic effect from the magnetopause current system. During the main phase, most negative values of the H com- ponent appear around the dusk-side, indicating the dawn-dusk asymmetric distribution of the ring cur- rent. (2) The contour of UT-MLAT suggests the latitudinal variation of the H component decreasing with the enhancement of the latitudes during geomagnetic storm, which is in good agreement with the Dst index. The latitudinal variations provide a new sight for describing the temporal characteristics of the intensity of the storm-time ring current. | 17 | Structure dependent elastic properties of supergraphene显示文摘Complete replacement of aromatic carbon bonds in graphene by carbyne chains gives rise to supergraphene whose mechanical properties are expected to depend on its structure. However, this dependence is to date unclear. In this paper, explicit expressions for the in-plane stiffness and Poisson's ratio of supergraphene are obtained using a molecular mechanics model. The theoretical results show that the in-plane stiffness of supergraphene is drastically(at least one order) smaller than that of graphene, whereas its Poisson's ratio is higher than 0.5. As the index number increases(i.e., the length of carbyne chains increases and the bond density decreases), the in-plane stiffness of supergraphene decreases while the Poisson's ratio increases. By analyzing the relation among the layer modulus, in-plane stiffness and Poisson's ratio, it is revealed that the mechanism of the faster decrease in the in-plane stiffness than the bond density is due to the increase of Poisson's ratio. | 18 | Cohort study of patients with Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis in China:evaluation of risk models and new predictor of pulmonary consolidation on computed tomography显示文摘Stevens-Johnson syndrome(SJS)and toxic epidermal necrolysis(TEN)are rare but severe diseases.This study aimed to validate the predictive ability of risk models in patients with SJS/TEN and propose possible refinement in China.Patients in the Department of Dermatology of Huashan Hospital from January 2008 to January 2019 were included.Results showed that the severity-of-illness score for TEN(SCORTEN)had a good discrimination(area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),0.78),and it was superior to auxiliary score(AS)and ABCD-10,which indicates age,bicarbonate level,cancer,dialysis,and 10%involved body surface area(AUC,0.69 and 0.68,respectively).The calibration of SCORTEN(Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test,P=0.69)was also better than that of AS(P=0.25)and ABCD-10(P=0.55).SCORTEN and ABCD-10 were similar(Brier score(BS),0.04 and 0.04)in terms of accuracy of predictions.In addition,the imaging appearance of pulmonary consolidation on computed tomography was associated with high mortality.Refined models were formed using the variables and this imaging appearance.The refined AS and ABCD-10 models were similar in discrimination compared with the original SCORTEN(0.74 vs.0.78,P=0.23;0.74 vs.0.78,P=0.30,respectively).Therefore,SCORTEN showed good discrimination performance,calibration,and accuracy,and refined AS or ABCD-10 model may be an option when SCORTEN variables are not available. | Yanhong Shou Lu Yang Yongsheng Yang Xiaohua Zhu Feng Li Bo Yin Yingyan Zheng Jinhua Xu | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,4: | 2 |
| 19 | Study on liquids diffusion into and relevant corrosion behaviour of glass fibre reinforced polymer used in high voltage composite insulator显示文摘Long-term liquids diffusion tests were performed on glass fibre reinforced polymer(GFRP)used in high voltage composite insulator.The plate-shaped GFRP specimens were immersed in three types of liquids,which high voltage composite insulator would encounter in practice,including deionised water,NaCl solution and nitric acid solution for a period of 4000 h.Chemical reaction and physical dissolution complicated the diffusion processes,which could be divided into three types based on the features of diffusion curves.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy and optical interferometry were employed to investigate the chemical property,two-dimensional(2D)and 3D surface morphologies of GFRP.The results revealed that the surface layer of GFRP was destroyed to some extent depending on the type and concentration of the liquid,the maximum of profile height deviation of GFRP surface was proposed to evaluate the extent of the corrosion of GFRP,the greater the profile height deviation,the more serious the corrosion of GFRP.The present work is helpful for a better understanding of the diffusion behaviour of liquids into GFRP used in high voltage composite insulator as well as in other industry applications. | Yanfeng Gao Xidong Liang Weining Bao Chao Wu Shaohua Li Yingyan Liu Yuanji Cai | 2020 | High Voltage2020,5,1: | 2 |
