1Fertilization strategy and application model using a centrifugal variable-rate fertilizer spreader显示文摘With the sustainable development of precision agriculture and the steady progress of variable-rate fertilization technology,the centrifugal variable-rate fertilizer spreader has attracted research attention due to its lower incidence of crush damage,high efficiency,and low cost.To improve fertilization accuracy and uniformity,spreading performance tests were conducted using this spreader in accordance with the test methods specified in ISO 5690 and ASAE S341.2,in which particle mass was weighed in a two-dimensional matrix of collection boxes.The effects of fertilization strategies that control the feed gate flow rate and the disc rotation speed on particle distribution,and application rate per unit area and effective swath width,were investigated.A variable-rate fertilization model was developed by analyzing the variation characteristics resulting from an increasing and decreasing application rate,and field experiments were conducted to verify its accuracy.The results indicated that when the feed gate flow rate was 300 g/s,the mean application rate was 26.47 g,the standard deviation is 2.81,and the coefficient of variation of particle distribution is at its minimum value of 14.25%.When the disc rotation speed was 600 r/min,the fertilizer was most evenly distributed with a coefficient of variation of 13.86%,and an average effective spreader swath width of 24.51 m.The proposed variable-rate fertilization model showed a high fitting degree with an S-shaped function curve for both increasing and decreasing distribution rates and the yielding coefficients of determination were more than 0.82 and 0.71,respectively.The average error between the model predictions and the test results was 9.47%,and the coefficients of determination for the increasing and decreasing distribution rates were 0.91 and 0.82,respectively,which confirmed the accuracy of the proposed variable-rate fertilization model.This investigation provided a theoretical basis for traditional empirical fertilization using centrifugal variable-rate fertilizer spreaders,and guides the selection of a multiple trajectory,variable-rate fertilization strategy.Yinyan Shi Zhichao Hu Xiaochan Wang Morice O.Odhiambo Guoxiang Sun 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:6
2Types of community health services selected by urban and suburban residents in Nanjing and influencing factors显示文摘Objective:The purpose of the current study was to determine the types of community health services selected by urban and suburban residents in Nanjing and the influencing factors in an ef-fort to improve the community health services to better meet the residents’demands.Methods:Between 15 May 2013 and 15 June 2013,eight community health service centers from four districts in Nanjing(Gulou District and Baixia District in urban areas and Jiangning District and Pukou District in suburban areas;two centers from each district)were selected using a stratified random sampling method of investigation sites.After an intercept interview with 487 community residents,univariate and multivariate analyses were performed by means of logistic regression.Results:Among the 487 users of community health services,there were 241 residents from urban areas(49.5%)and 246 residents from suburban areas(50.5%).Among the respondents,there were 191(39.2%)who usually received medical treatment from community health service institutions,including 74(38.7%)from urban areas and 117(61.3%)from suburban areas.The analysis showed that the factors which influenced urban residents in Nanjing to choose community health services for medical treatment included income,payment terms of medical fees,reasonable prices,medical fees,and expenses for medications,while factors influencing suburban residents to choose community health services for medical treatment included income,level of education,carrier,medical institutions selected when feeling severely ill,availability of preventive health services,availability of health counseling services,medical fees,and expenses for medications.Based on an analysis of the results by means of unconditioned binary logistic stepwise regression,the factors influencing whether or not the urban residents chose community health services for medical treatment included gender,age,level of education,payment terms of medical fees,treat-ment environment,and expenses for medications,while the factors influencing suburban residents included availability of preventive health services and expenses for medications.Conclusion:There was a difference between the types of community health services selected by residents in urban and suburban areas of Nanjing and factors influencing the selection of ser-vices were different.Community health service institutions in different areas should strengthen their own service capability according to the local residents’health demands.Hong Fan Qianyuan Wang Yinyan Wu 2014Family Medicine and Community Health2014,2,1:4
3Classification of brain arteriovenous malformations located in motor-related areas based on location and anterior choroidal artery feeding显示文摘Objective Surgical management of arteriovenous malformations(AVMs)involving motor cortex or fibre tracts(M-AVMs)is challenging.This study aimed to construct a classification system based on nidus locations and anterior choroidal artery(AChA)feeding to pre-surgically evaluate motor-related and seizure-related outcomes in patients undergoing resection of M-AVMs.Methods and materials A total of 125 patients who underwent microsurgical resection of M-AVMs were retrospectively reviewed.Four subtypes were identified based on nidus location:(I)nidus involving the premotor area and/or supplementary motor areas;(II)nidus involving the precentral gyrus;(III)nidus involving the corticospinal tract(CST)and superior to the posterior limb of the internal capsule;(IV)nidus involving the CST at or inferior to the level of posterior limb of the internal capsule.In addition,we divided type IV into type IVa and type IVb according to the AChA feeding.Surgical-related motor deficit(MD)evaluations were performed 1 week(short-term)and 6 months(long-term)after surgery.Results The type I patients exhibited the highest incidence(62.0%)of pre-surgical epilepsy among the four subtypes.Multivariate analysis showed that motor-related area subtypes(p=0.004)and diffuse nidus(p=0.014)were significantly associated with long-term MDs.Long-term MDs were significantly less frequent in type I than in the other types.Type IV patients acquired the highest proportion(four patients,25.0%)of long-term poor outcomes(mRS>2).Type IVb patients showed a significantly higher incidence of post-surgical MDs than type IVa patients(p=0.041).The MDs of type III or IV patients required more recovery time.Of the 62 patients who had pre-surgical seizures,90.3%(56/62)controlled their seizures well and reached Engel class I after surgery.Conclusions Combining the consideration of location and AChA feeding,the classification for M-AVMs is a useful approach for predicting post-surgical motor function and decision-making.Yuming Jiao Hao Li Weilun Fu Jiancong Weng Ran Huo Yinyan Wang Shuo Wang Tao Jiang Yong Cao Ji Zong Zhao 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3:4
4Response characteristics and efficiency of variable rate fertilization based on spectral reflectance显示文摘The key technical problem of variable rate fertilization system based on spectrum information was precise variable fertilization in certain area according to the acquired spectrum information.Hysteretic fertilizing is a critical problem in most of current fertilizer equipment.Hysteresis model was built and analyzed in this study to improve the system.Fertilizing tests were conducted on different wheat breeds and the results were analyzed.The tests showed that variable rate fertilization had obvious hysteresis phenomenon with the maximum lag distance of 3.82 m,the minimum lag distance of 1.73 m and average of 3.06 m.Hysteresis phenomenon of the variable rate fertilization system was obviously decreased when implanting a correction time of 2.04 s with the maximum lag distance of 0.61 m.Variable effects varied by different wheat breeds.Variable rate fertilization had an advantage of improving spatial differences of Yangmai-23,and the spatial variability of which decreased by 14.23%.In the small test area,the amount of fertilizer in Zhenmai-168 decreased by 2.84 kg,while the amount of which in Yangmai-23 increased by 3.83 kg.Yield of Zhenmai-168 in small area was lower than that in traditional pattern,but the condition of Yangmai-23 was on the contrary.Valuable information for increasing performance of fertilization in variable rate fertilization system was provided in this paper.Man Chen Zhenjie Yang Xiaochan Wang Yinyan Shi Yu Zhang 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:1
5Molecular Study on Differentiation-Associated Genes Involved in Both Malignant Progression of Glioma and Differentiation of Human Fetal Neural Stem Cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE It is unclear whether differentiation disturbances or deregulation of neural stem cells (NSCs) are the early key steps for gliomagenesis and tumor development. Furthermore, relevant molecular changes and gene-regulation pathways are unknown. This study focused on screening and validating differentiation-associated genes from both human NSCs and glioma cells with malignant progression, for the purpose of offering an experimental basis for the cellular origin of gilomas and molecular pathology of gliomagenesis. METHODS The differential-gene expression profiles of malignant progression of gliomas were established, then the differentiation related genes were screened out with a bioinformatics analysis. Expression levels of these genes was further analyzed in cultured human fetal NSCs undergoing differentiation processes with a semi-quantitative RT-PCR assay. RESULTS Eight genes were screened out from the gene-expression profiling of which the expression levels were associated with the differentiation processes of NSCs, namely CXCR4, TN-C, GLT1, IL1-RI, EGFR-8, CDC2, Ndr3 and MAPKK4. Three of them, ie., GLT1, CDC2 and MAPKK4, were further analyzed, showing that expression levels decreased with the differentiation processes of NSCs, and increased with the malignant progression of ganglioglioma. 7Experiment and analysis on mechanical properties of Artemisia selengensis stalk显示文摘The technology used for the storage and transportation of Artemisia selengensis is becoming increasingly important with its increasing consumption and demand;moreover,the amounts of artificial planting contribute to the challenges in Artemisia selengensis harvesting.Therefore,the mechanical property parameters of the Artemisia selengensis stalks were determined and researched to reduce the mechanical damage during harvesting,transportation,processing and storage.The Artemisia selengensis stalks were taken as the test object and a physical test method was adopted to study the impact of different positions,diameters,and directions on the mechanical properties by using the TMS-Pro texture analyzer;then,the relevant changing trends of the characteristic mechanical parameters were analyzed using statistical software.In the compression test,the compression load-deformation curve was observed and the breaking force and deformation were obtained;then,the compressive strength,elastic modulus and compression energy were computed.Next,the curve-fitting of the compressive strength and compression energy was carried out.In the shear test,the shear stress-deformation curve was obtained and the shear force,deformation,shear strength,and shear work were calculated.Then,the regression fitting of the section area,peak shearing stress and shearing work was conducted.Finally,in the last bending test,the bending stress-deformation curve,bending peak force,deformation,and bending work were obtained.Then the bending forces of other plants were tested,the results were compared and analyzed with the theoretical values,and finally the regression fittings were implemented.All the analysis results showed that Artemisia selengensis stalks can be considered to be anisotropic materials.The results also showed that the compressive strength and elastic modulus decreased with the height of stalk position,while the deformation increased.In addition,with the increase in the stalk diameter,the bending strength and fracture mechanical work increased,while the deformation decreased.The research results can provide a theoretical basis and reference for the design of the harvest equipment of Artemisia selengensis while minimizing its mechanical damage.Shi Yinyan Chen Man Wang Xiaochan Zhang Yongnian Morice O.Odhiambo 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,2:1

9Polarization-dependent photoinduced metal–insulator transitions in manganites显示文摘In correlated oxides,collaborative manipulation on light intensity,wavelength,pulse duration and polarization has yielded many exotic discoveries,such as phase transitions and novel quantum states.In view of potential optoelectronic applications,tailoring long-lived static properties by light-induced effects is highly desirable.So far,the polarization state of light has rarely been reported as a control parameter for this purpose.Here,we report polarization-dependent metal-to-insulator transition(MIT)in phaseseparated manganite thin films,introducing a new degree of freedom to control static MIT.Specifically,we observed giant photoinduced resistance jumps with striking features:(1)a single resistance jump occurs upon a linearly polarized light incident with a chosen polarization angle,and a second resistance jump occurs when the polarization angle changes;(2)the amplitude of the second resistance jump depends sensitively on the actual change of the polarization angles.Linear transmittance measurements reveal that the origin of the above phenomena is closely related to the coexistence of anisotropic micro-domains.Our results represent a first step to utilize light polarization as an active knob to manipulate static phase transitions,pointing towards new pathways for nonvolatile optoelectronic devices and sensors.Lina Deng Weiye Zhang Hanxuan Lin Lifen Xiang Ying Xu Yadi Wang Qiang Li Yinyan Zhu Xiaodong Zhou Wenbin Wang Lifeng Yin Hangwen Guo Chuanshan Tian Jian Shen 2024Science Bulletin2024,69,2:0
10Spatial confinement tuning of quenched disorder effects and enhanced magnetoresistance in manganite nanowires显示文摘Complex oxides have rich functionalities and advantages for future technologies.In many systems,quenched disorder often holds the key to determine their physical properties,and these properties can be further tuned by chemical doping.However,understanding the role of quenched disorder is complicated because chemical doping simultaneously alters other physical variables such as local lattice distortions and electronic and magnetic environments.Here,we show that spatial confinement is an effective approach to tuning the level of quenched disorder in a complex-oxide system while leaving other physical variables largely undisturbed.Through the confinement of a manganite system down to quasi-one-dimensional nanowires,we observed that the nature of its metal-insulator phase transition exhibits a crossover from a discontinuous to a continuous characteristic,in close accordance with quenched disorder theories.We argue that the quenched disorder,finite size,and surface effects all contribute to our experimental observations.Noticeably,with reduced nanowire width,the magnetoresistance shows substantial enhancement at low temperatures.Our findings offer new insight into experimentally tuning the quenched disorder effect to achieve novel functionalities at reduced dimensions.Yang Yu Qiang Li Qian Shi YinYan Zhu HanXuan Lin Hao Liu HongYan Chen Tian Miao Yu Bai YanMei Wang WenTing Yang WenBin Wang HangWen Guo LiFeng Yin Jian Shen 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,3:0

14Enhanced Anomalous Hall Effect of Pt on an Antiferromagnetic Insulator with Fully Compensated Surface显示文摘We report a significantly enhanced anomalous Hall effect(AHE)of Pt on antiferromagnetic insulator thin film(3-unit-cell La_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)MnO_(3),abbreviated as LSMO),which is one order of magnitude larger than that of Pt on other ferromagnetic(e.g.Y_(3)Fe_(5)O_(12))and antiferromagnetic(e.g.Cr_(2)O_(3))insulator thin films.Our experiments demonstrate that the antiferromagnetic La_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)MnO_(3)with fully compensated surface suppresses the positive anomalous Hall resistivity induced by the magnetic proximity effect and facilitates the negative anomalous Hall resistivity induced by the spin Hall effect.By changing the substrate’s temperature during Pt deposition,we observed that the diffusion of Mn atoms into Pt layer can further enhance the AHE.The anomalous Hall resistivity increases with increasing temperature and persists even well above the Neel temperature(T_(N))of LSMO.The Monte Carlo simulations manifest that the unusual rise of anomalous Hall resistivity above T_(N)originates from the thermal induced magnetization in the antiferromagnetic insulator.Yu Bai Zhe Wang Na Lei Wisal Muhammad Lifeng Xiang Qiang Li Huilin Lai Yinyan Zhu Wenbing Wang Hangwen Guo Lifeng Yin Ruqian Wu Jian Shen 2022Chinese Physics Letters2022,39,10:0
15Optimization and experiment on key structural parameters of no-tillage planter with straw-smashing and strip-mulching显示文摘Accelerate the quality of smashed-straw laying and enhance the effect of seed-bed arranging for no-tillage planter with straw-smashing and strip-mulching in full stubble covered paddy have become imperative in implementing modern conservation tillage.Considering the perfect operating performance(passability and stability)of the developed no-tillageplanter,this study intends to optimize the structure design of smashed-straw diversion device and strip-rotary tillage device.Dynamics equations of smashed straw and kinematics models of rotary blades were established through theoretical analysis,and the principal factors that affecting straw strip-laying quality and seed-bed arranging effect were specified.The influence of out-enlarge angle(η)and slide-push angle(γ)of the diversion device on the coefficient of variation(ζ1)of cover-straw width,and the influence of rotary tillage-blade number(N)and configuration in a singlerotary plane on the broken rate(ζ2)of strip soil were completely analyzed.And then,based on the systematic analysis and integrated scheme,operating performance and field verification tests using the optimized no-tillage planter were thoroughly performed.The results of the performance tests indicated that the out-enlarge angle(η)had a highly significant influence on the coefficient of variation(ζ1),and the slide-push angle(γ)had a significant influence on(ζ1).The rotary tillage-blade number(N)had a highly significant influence on the broken rate(ζ2),and the slide-push angle(γ)had a significant influence on(ζ2).The obtained optimal combination of these key structure parameters through comprehensive analysis wasη=45°,γ=40°,and N=4.Field verification test results indicated that the optimized no-tillage planter achieved mean values of ζ1=10.47%and ζ2=90.95%,which satisfied the relevant operation quality and cultivation agricultural requirement of conservation tillage equipment,and provided technical references for developing the similar no-tillage planter of straw crushing and returning.Yinyan Shi Xiaochan Wang Zhichao Hu Fengwei Gu Feng Wu Youqing Chen 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,3:0

17Application of robotic-assisted endoscopic third ventriculostomy显示文摘Objective:This case series study explored the application of ROSA(robot of stereotactic assistant)robotic-assisted endoscopic third ventriculostomy(ETV)in the treatment of hydrocephalus.Methods:Three patients(January2016-October2017)diagnosed with hydrocephalus based on preoperative computed tomograph(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scans were recruited.Navigation planning scan was performed before operation.ROSA robot localization program was used to simulate and analyze the path planning of hydrocephalus ETV and store it in the system.All the three patients underwent robotic-assisted ETV.The patients'clinical symptoms,imaging manifestations and related complications were evaluated,and a3-month follow-up survey was conducted.Prognostic factors were also analyzed.Results:ETV under the guidance of ROSA robot was successfully performed on the three patients.CT,MRI and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)cine showed that the ventricles were narrowed,that the velocity and flow of the stoma were normal,and that the CSF flow was smooth.After discharge,the symptoms of hydrocephalus were significantly improved.Localization of the robot and design of the surgical path were key to success of the operation.Conclusions:ROSA robotic-assisted ETV is a feasible procedure.The patients recovered well,and the symptoms relieved.More efforts are needed to optimize artificial intelligence and the application of precision treatment in the nervous system.Peng Zhao Yinyan Wang Jiwei Bai Bin Li Chuzhong Li Songbai Gui Xinsheng Wang Xuyi Zong Yazhuo Zhang 2018Journal of Translational Neuroscience2018,3,1:0
