| 3 | Isolation of Secondary Metabolites with Antimicrobial Activities from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens LWYZ003显示文摘The strain LWYZ003, which can restrain multiple pathogens, was screened from the sediment of the ocean and identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Large-scale fermentation and modern chromatographic separation technologies(macroporous resin column chromatography, silica gel column chromatography, thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography) were used to separate antimicrobial products from the fermentation broth of marine-derived Bacillus amyloliquefaciens LWYZ003. Bioactive-guided separation was used in the term of seeking antimicrobial products from the secondary metabolites of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens LWYZ003. As a result, two natural products cycloheximide( 1) and trehalose( 2) were obtained. Their structures were elucidated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry, ~1 H and ^(13) C nuclear magnetic resonance analysis. In the cylinder plate method, compound 1 exhibited stronger antimicrobial activities than compound 2 against Micrococcus luteus, and also exhibited wider antimicrobial spectrum than compound 2. | 5 | Colonization of endophyte Acremonium sp. D212 in Panax notoginseng and rice mediated by auxin and jasmonic acid显示文摘Endophytic fungi can be beneficial to plant growth. However, the molecular mechanisms under-lying colonization of Acremonium spp. remain unclear. In this study, a novel endophytic Acremonium strain was isolated from the buds of Panax notoginseng and named Acremonium sp. D212. The Acremonium sp. D212 could colonize the roots of P. notoginseng, enhance the resistance of P. notoginseng to root rot disease, and promote root growth and saponin bio-synthesis in P. notoginseng. Acremonium sp. D212 could secrete indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and jasmonic acid (JA), and inoculation with the fungus increased the endogenous levels of IAA and JA in P. noto-ginseng. Colonization of the Acremonium sp. D212 in the roots of the rice line Nipponbare was dependent on the concentration of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) (2–15μmol/L) and 1-naphthalenacetic acid (NAA) (10–20μmol/L). Moreover, the roots of the JA signaling-defective coi1-18 mutant were colonized by Acremonium sp. D212 to a lesser degree than those of the wild-type Nipponbare and miR393b-overexpressing lines, and the colonization was res-cued by MeJA but not by NAA. It suggests that the cross-talk between JA signaling and the auxin biosynthetic pathway plays a crucial role in the colonization of Acremonium sp. | 6 | Factors associated with potentially inappropriate prescriptions and barriers to medicines optimisation among older adults in primary care settings:a systematic review显示文摘Objective To identify factors that likely contribute to potentially inappropriate prescriptions(PIPs)among older adults in primary care settings,as well as barriers to medicines optimisation and recommended potential solutions.Design Systematic review.Eligibility criteria Quantitative studies that analysed the factors associated with PIPs among older adults(≥65 years)in primary care settings,and qualitative studies that explored perceived barriers and potential solutions to medicines optimisation for this population.Information sources PubMed,EMBASE,Scopus,CINAHL,PsycINFO,Web of Science,CNKI and Wanfang.Results Of the 13167 studies identified,50 were included(14 qualitative,34 cross-sectional and 2 cohort).Nearly all quantitative studies examined patient-related non-clinical factors(eg,age)and clinical factors(eg,number of medications)and nine studies examined prescriber-related factors(eg,physician age).A greater number of medications were identified as positively associated with PIPs in 25 quantitative studies,and a higher number of comorbidities,physical comorbidities and psychiatric comorbidities were identified as patient-related clinical risk factors for PIPs.However,other factors showed inconsistent associations with the PIPs.Barriers to medicines optimisation emerged within four analytical themes:prescriber related(eg,inadequate knowledge,concerns of adverse consequences,clinical inertia,lack of communication),patient related(eg,limited understanding,patient non-adherence,drug dependency),environment related(eg,lack of integrated care,insufficient investment,time constraints)and technology related(eg,complexity of implementation and inapplicable guidance).Recommended potential solutions were based on each theme of the barriers identified accordingly(eg,prescriber-related factors:incorporating training courses into continuing medical education).Conclusions Older adults with more drugs prescribed and comorbidities may have a greater risk of receiving PIPs in the primary care setting,but it remains unclear whether other factors are related.Barriers to medicines optimisation among primary care older adults comprise multiple factors,and evidence-based and targeted interventions are needed to address these difficulties.PROSPERO registration number CRD42020216258. | Zhijie Xu Xujian Liang Yue Zhu Yiting Lu Yuanqu Ye Lizheng Fang Yi Qian | 2021 | Family Medicine and Community Health2021,9,4: | 1 |

| 9 | High-resolution spatio-temporal analysis of snowmelt over Antarctic Peninsula ice shelves from 2015 to 2021 using SAR images显示文摘Ice shelves play an essential role in the dynamics of the Antarctic ice sheet.The surface meltwater is important,as it can irreversibly weaken ice shelves by exerting additional hydrostatic pressure.Therefore,high-resolution snowmelt products are urgently needed to accurately analyze melting patterns of ice shelves and further estimate mass loss.In this study,a new high-resolution(40 m)snowmelt dataset over all of the Antarctic Peninsula ice shelves larger than 100 km^(2) was developed based on the modified snowmelt detection framework by using a co-orbit normalization method.The dataset provides detailed snowmelt information on each ice shelf,including the image coverage,melting area and melting ratio every 5 days.The melting patterns of three typical ice shelves(George VI,Wilkins and Larsen C Ice Shelves)and the spatio-temporal melting distribution of the Antarctic Peninsula(AP)were further analyzed.The snowmelt information indicates that both the extent and duration of snowmelt have been increasing in the Antarctic Peninsula from 2015 to 2021,and we found that the snowmelt on the Antarctic Peninsula showed a spatial pattern of significantly intense snowmelt on the western side.We believe this study will provide essential data for ice shelf investigation to support otherfields of polar research. | Qi Zhu Huadong Guo Lu Zhang Dong Liang Xuting Liu Heng Zhou Yiting Gou | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 0 |
| 10 | A triple-enhanced chemodynamic approach based on glucosepowered hybrid nanoreactors for effective bacteria killing显示文摘Rapid evolution of multidrug resistance in bacterial pathogens is outpacing the development of new antibiotics,and chemodynamic therapy(CDT)provides an excellent alternative.However,achieving highly efficient CDT is still a great challenge,since the pH in the infection site is close to neutral and the supply of H_(2)O_(2)is inadequate.We herein constructed the antibacterial nanoreactors.Indocyanine green(ICG)and glucose oxidase(GOx)were incorporated into homologous zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)nanoparticles coating with metal polyphenol network(MPN)composed by Fe^(3+)and tannic acid(TA).The well-designed nanoreactors could simultaneously break the pH and H_(2)O_(2)limitations,and generate hyperthermia under irradiation,thus realizing a triple-enhanced CDT for high-efficiency sterilization.Furthermore,the nanoreactors could combine CDT with photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT),which not only improved the bactericidal efficiency and broadened the antibacterial spectrum,but also alleviated the antibiotics resistance issues.Remarkably,the proposed nanoreactors achieved a robust in vitro bacterial killing against Gram-positive methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)and Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa.The nanoreactors achieved an 99.7%MRSA reduction in an MRSA-induced murine abscess model accompanied with negligible toxicity.Overall,this study provides a promising strategy for multiple-enhanced CDT and multimodal combined therapy for pathogenic infections. | Jintao Fu Yixian Zhou Ting Liu Wenhao Wang Yiting Zhao Ying Sun Yiming Zhang Wenxuan Qin Zhongwei Chen Chao Lu Guilan Quan Chuanbin Wu Xin Pan | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,2: | 0 |
