1GC-MS, GC-O and OAV analyses of key aroma compounds in Jiaozi Steamed Bread显示文摘Jiaozi Steamed Bread(JSB)has a unique aroma as a traditional staple food in China.The volatile compounds in JSBwere extracted by simultaneous distillation and extraction(SDE)and headspace solid-phasemicroextraction(HS-SPME).These volatile substances were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and gas chromatographyolfactometry-mass spectrometry(GC-O-MS).The results demonstrated that 61 volatile compounds were identified totally in samples,of which 15 were confirmed as potent aroma compounds with odor active values(OAVs)>1.The 15 potent aroma compounds were ethanol,1-butanol,1-pentanol,1-hexanol,heptanol,1-octen-3-ol,3-methyl-1-butanol,hexanal,heptanal,nonanal,(E)-2-heptenal,benzaldehyde,(E,E)-2,4-decadienal,2-pentylfuran and naphthalene.The SDEmethod had better linearity with coefficients of determination(R2)equal to or higher than 0.9991.Furthermore,the SDE method also achieved lower sensitivity and better repeatability and recovery than HS-SPME.This work provides reference method and parameters for future research on the flavor of JSB for commercial products.Yuanhui Wang Jingwen Zhao Fei Xu Xiaoyun Wu Wenxuan Hu Yongfeng Chang Lanlan Zhang Jie Chen Changhong Liu 2020Grain & Oil Science and Technology2020,3,1:17
2Outcome of multimodal MRI-guided intravenous thrombolysis in patients with stroke with unknown time of onset显示文摘Objective Intravenous tissue plasminogen activator(tPA)is the standard therapy for patients with acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)within 4.5 hours of onset.Recent trials have expanded the endovascular treatment window to 24 hours.We investigated the efficacy and safety of using multimodal MRI to guide intravenous tPA treatment for patients with AIS of unknown time of onset(UTO).Methods Data on patients with AIS with UTO and within 4.5 hours of onset were reviewed.Data elements collected and analysed included:demographics,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score at baseline and 2 hours,24 hours,7 days after thrombolysis and before discharge,the modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score at 3 months after discharge,imaging findings and any adverse event.results Forty-two patients with UTO and 62 in control group treated within 4.5 hours of onset were treated with intravenous tPA.The NIHSS scores after thrombolysis and/or before discharge in UTO group were significantly improved compared with the baseline(p<0.05).Between the two groups,no significant differences in NIHSS score were observed(p>0.05).Utilising the non-inferiority test,to compare mRS scores(0-2)at 3 months between the two groups,the difference was 5.2%(92%CI,OR 0.196).Patients in the UTO group had mRS scores of 0-2,which were non-inferior to the control group.Their incidence of adverse events was similar.Conclusions Utilising multimodal MRI to guide intravenous only thrombolysis for patients with AIS with UTO was safe and effective.In those patients with AIS between 6 and 24 hours of time of onset but without large arterial occlusion,intravenous thrombolysis could be considered an option.Jie Zhao Hongmei Zhao Runtao Li Jiangtao Li Chang Liu Juan Lv Yanan Li Wei Liu Dongpu Ma Huaihai Hao Xinguang Xiao Junzhong Liu Yongfeng Yin Rongli Liu Qiaoyan Yu Yingjie Wei Pengyan Li Yue Wang Runqing Wang 2019Stroke & Vascular Neurology2019,4,1:8
3β-MnO_(2) with proton conversion mechanism in rechargeable zinc ion battery显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous zinc ion battery(RAZIB)is a promising energy storage system due to its high safety,and high capacity.Among them,manganese oxides with low cost and low toxicity have drawn much attention.However,the under-debate proton reaction mechanism and unsatisfactory electrochemical performance limit their applications.Nanorod b-MnO_(2) synthesized by hydrothermal method is used to investigate the reaction mechanism.As cathode materials for RAZIB,the Zn//b-MnO_(2) delivers 355 mA h g^(-1)(based on cathode mass)at0.1 A g^(-1),and retain 110 mA h g^(-1) after 1000 cycles at 0.2 A g^(-1).Different from conventional zinc ion insertion/extraction mechanism,the proton conversion and Mn ion dissolution/deposition mechanism of b-MnO_(2) is proposed by analyzing the evolution of phase,structure,morphology,and element of b-MnO_(2) electrode,the pH change of electrolyte and the determination of intermediate phase MnO OH.Zinc ion,as a kind of Lewis acid,also provides protons through the formation of ZHS in the proton reaction process.This study of reaction mechanism provides a new perspective for the development of Zn//MnO_(2) battery chemistry.Wenbao Liu Xiaoyu Zhang Yongfeng Huang Baozheng Jiang Ziwen Chang Chengjun Xu Feiyu Kang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:6
4Speciation and thermal transformation of sulfur forms in high-sulfur coal and its utilization in coal-blending coking process:A review显示文摘The utilization of high-sulfur coal is becoming more urgent due to the excessive utilization of low-sulfur,high-quality coal resources,and sulfur removal from high-sulfur coal is the most important issue.This paper reviews the speciation,forms and distribution of sulfur in coal,the sulfur removal from raw coal,the thermal transformation of sulfur during coal pyrolysis,and the sulfur regulation during coal-blending coking of high organic-sulfur coals.It was suggested that the proper characterization of sulfur in coal cannot be obtained only by either chemical method or instrumental characterization,which raises the need of a combination of current or newly adopted characterization methods.Different from the removal of inorganic sulfur from coal,the organic sulfur can only be partly removed by chemical technologies;and the coal structure and property,particularly high-sulfur coking coals which have caking ability,may be altered and affected by the pretreatment processes.Based on the interactions among the sulfur radicals,sulfur-containing and hydrogen-containing fragments during coal pyrolysis and the reactions with minerals or nascent char,regulating the sulfur transformation behavior in the process of thermal conversion is the most effective way to utilize high organic-sulfur coals in the coke-making industry.An in-situ regulation approach of sulfur transformation during coal-blending coking has been suggested.That is,the high volatile coals with an appropriate releasing temperature range of CH4 overlapping well with that of H2 S from high organic-sulfur coals is blended with high organic-sulfur coals,and the C–S/C–C bonds in some sulfur forms are catalytically broken and immediately hydrogenated by the hydrogencontaining radicals generated from high volatile coals.Wherein,the effect of mass transfer on sulfur regulation during the coking process should be considered for the larger-scale coking tests through optimizing the ratios of different coals in the coal blend.Yanfeng Shen Yongfeng Hu Meijun Wang Weiren Bao Liping Chang Kechang Xie 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,7:5
5Steganography in low bit-rate speech streams based on quantization index modulation controlled by keys显示文摘Since low bit-rate speech codecs used for voice over internet protocol(VoIP), such as iLBC(internet low bit-rate codec), G.723.1and G.729 A, have less redundancy due to high compression, it is more challenging to embed information in low bit-rate speech streams of VoIP. In this study, a new method is proposed for steganography in low bit-rate speech streams of VoIP. The core idea of this method is setting up a graph model for the codebook space of the quantizer. Based on the graph model, the method realises a quantization index modulation(QIM)-controlled algorithm for partitioning the codebook space. It can be proved that this method can minimize signal distortion while steganography taking place. Taking into account codeword partition balance and partition diversity, the proposed steganographic algorithm was based on QIM controlled by secret keys, i.e., mapping the ways of codebook division into secret keys, thereby significantly improving the undetectability and robustness of VoIP steganography. 6Atomic layer deposition-induced integration of N-doped carbon particles on carbon foam for flexible supercapacitor显示文摘Flexible devices have attracted abundant attention in energy storage systems.In this paper,we presented a novel approach for fabricating flexible supercapacitor based on metal organic frameworks-derived material.In this approach,a uniform zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-8 layer with a high mass loading was deposited on a flexible carbon foam(CF)skeleton efficiently by the induction of a uniform ZnO nanomembrane prepared via an atomic layer deposition technique.A flexible N-doped carbon particle-carbon foam(N-CP-CF)composite with a hierarchically porous structure and a large specific surface area(i.e.,538 m^(2) g^(-1))was obtained in a subsequent pyrolysis process.The resultant materials have the excellent electrochemical performance(i.e.,a high specific capacitance of 300 F g^(-1) and a high energy density of 20.8 W h kg^(-1)).The N-CP-CF composite can provide a stable capacitance(i.e.,250 F g^(-1))and an energy density(i.e.,17.36 W h kg^(-1))under large deformation(25% of original thickness).This work could propose a promising strategy in fabrication of flexible electrode with a large potential towards energy storage applications in the future.Zhe Zhao Ye Kong Chang Liu Jinrun Liu Zhijie Wang Gengfeng Zheng Gaoshan Huang Yongfeng Mei 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,1:3
7Completely spin-decoupled geometric phase of a metasurface显示文摘Metasurfaces have provided an unprecedented degree of freedom(DOF)in the manipulation of electromagnetic waves.A geometric phase can be readily obtained by rotating the meta-atoms of a metasurface.Nevertheless,such geometric phases are usually spin-coupled,with the same magnitude but opposite signs for left-and right-handed circularly polarized(LCP and RCP)waves.To achieve independent control of LCP and RCP waves,it is crucial to obtain spin-decoupled geometric phases.In this paper,we propose to obtain completely spin-decoupled geometric phases by engineering the surface current paths on meta-atoms.Based on the rotational Doppler effect,the rotation manner is first analyzed,and it is found that the generation of a geometric phase lies in the rotation of the surface current paths on meta-atoms.Since the induced surface current paths under the LCP and RCP waves always start oppositely and are mirror-symmetrical with each other,it is natural that the geometric phases have the same magnitude and opposite signs when the meta-atoms are rotated.To obtain spin-decoupled geometric phases,the induced surface current under one spin should be rotated by one angle while the current under the other spin is rotated by a different angles.In this way,LCP and RCP waves can acquire different geometric phase changes.Proof-of-principle prototypes were designed,fabricated,and measured.Both the simulation and experiment results verify spin-decoupled geometric phases.This work provides a robust means to obtain a spindependent geometric phase and can be readily extended to higher frequency bands such as the terahertz,IR,and optical regimes.XINMIN FU JIE YANG JIAFU WANG YAJUAN HAN CHANG DING TIANSHUO QIU BINGYUE QU LEI LI YONGFENG LI SHAOBO QU 2023Photonics Research2023,11,7:1

13Transcriptomic and proteomic studies of condylar ossification of the temporomandibular joint in porcine embryos显示文摘Background:The ossification mechanism of the temporomandibular joint(TMJ)condyle remains unclear in human embryo.The size and structure of TMJ,shape of articular disc and the characteristics of omnivorous chewing in the pig are similar to those of humans.The pig is an ideal animal for studying the mechanism of ossification of the TMJ condyle during the embryonic period.Method:In a previous study by our group,it was found that there was no condylar ossification on embryonic day(E)45,but the ossification of condyle occurred between E75 and E90.In this study,a total of 12 miniature pig embryos on E45 and E85 were used.Six embryos were used for tissue sections(3 in each group).The remaining six embryos were used for transcriptomic and proteomic studies to find differential genes and proteins.The differentially expressed genes in transcriptome and proteomic analysis were verified by QPCR.Results:In total,1592 differential genes comprising 1086 up-regulated genes and 506 down-regulated genes were screened for fold changes of≥2 to≤0.5 between E45 and E85.In the total of 4613 proteins detected by proteomic analysis,there were 419 differential proteins including 313 up-regulated proteins and 106 down-regulated proteins screened for fold changes of≥2 to≤0.5 between E45 and E85.A total of 36 differential genes differing in both transcriptome and proteome analysis were found.QPCR analysis showed that 14 of 15 selected genes were consistent with transcriptome analysis.Conclusion:Condylar transcriptome and proteomic analysis during the development of TMJ in miniature pigs revealed the regulatory genes/proteins of condylar ossification.Lei Xiang Yongfeng Li Xuewen Wang HuaWei Liu Ping Chang Xiaodan Mu Tengyue Tianteng Min Hu 2023Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2023,6,4:0
14Nanomembrane folding origami:Geometry control and micro-machine applications显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)microstructures have important applications in a wide range of engineering fields.A strategy of nanomembrane folding origami with microdroplet-guided intercalation and strain engineering to construct complex 3D microstructures for micro-machine applications is proposed in the present investigation.The results showed that nanomembranes were released by the microdroplet intercalation and subsequently fold up as creases,or remain flat as facets,depending on the strain design configurations.The 3D geometry can be controlled by the crease design and by an externally applied magnetic field.Moreover,this folding strategy is used to construct magnetic micro-mirror arrays,magnetic micro-robots,and a twin-jet motor platform,showing potential micro-machine applications in optical micro-devices and robotics.This strategy offers a simple,precise,and designable method of folding 3D microstructures for fundamental research and practical applications.Yang Zong Xinyuan Zhang Yue Wu Yang Wang Chang Liu Borui Xu Gaoshan Huang Jizhai Cui Yongfeng Mei 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,6:0
