| 2 | The progress on antifouling organic coating: From biocide to biomimetic surface显示文摘The advancement in material science and engineering technology has led to the development of antifouling(AF) coatings which are cheaper, durable, less toxic, and safe to the environment. The use of AF coatings containing tributyltin compounds was prohibited at the beginning of 2003, this necessitated the development of environmentally friendly coatings. The fouling release coating(FRC) lacks biocides and has low surface energy, low elastic modulus with smooth surface properties, hence a better release effect to fouling organisms. Several functional coatings have been recently developed based on fouling release(FR) technology to combat the effects of biofouling. Here, we provide a brief overview of innovative technologies and recent developments based on FRCs, including silicone, modified fluorinated polymer,cross-linked coatings, amphiphilic copolymer coating, hydrogel coatings, and biomimetic coatings. We also highlight the key issues and shortcomings of innovative technologies based on FRCs. | 4 | Assessment of heavy metal pollution in Laizhou Bay(China)using the ecological risk index and the integrated biomarker response of the goby Acanthogobius ommaturus显示文摘We used the Integrated Biological Responses version 2(IBRv2)method to evaluate the biological eff ects of heavy metals in the sediments in Laizhou Bay,China on the benthic goby Acanthogobius ommaturus.In December 2018,gobies and sediments were collected from 15 stations.We measured the activities of defense enzymes and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA)and metallothionein(MT)in the goby liver as well as the levels of heavy metals in the sediments and goby muscle tissue.Most of the heavy metal concentrations in sediment at each station were below the Class I criteria set by Chinese Standards for Marine Sediment Quality,and the Håkanson ecological risk index suggested low risk for the heavy metals.We found that A.ommaturus could eff ectively accumulate mercury,cadmium,arsenic,and zinc and that the contents of MT and MDA and the activities of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase were suitable biomarkers of heavy metal pollution in this species.The IBRv2 method integrated these four biomarkers and discriminated stations according to heavy metal pollution.Higher IBRv2 values suggested more adverse eff ects in gobies,corroborating more serious heavy metal contamination.The stations with high IBRv2 values and high contents of heavy metals were mainly distributed in the west and northeast parts of the bay.These results show that the IBRv2 approach is a feasible strategy for assessing heavy metal pollution through biological response and biological status and that it can be implemented for environmental monitoring in Laizhou Bay. | Maosheng LIU Hua XU Qiang ZOU Fei FANG Shan SUN Yuting ZHAO Xin HE Yonghui BO Lei YAO Yan FANG | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,4: | 0 |
| 5 | Genetic polymorphism of mitochondrial DNA HVS-I and HVS-II of Chinese Tu ethnic minority group显示文摘We analyzed the two hypervariable segments HVS-I and HVS-II of 108 Chinese Tu ethnic minority group samples for forensic and population genetics purposes. Comparing with Anderson sequence, 79 polymorphic loci in HVS-I and 40 in HVS-II were found in Chi-nese Tu ethnic minority group mtDNA sequences, and 90 and 64 haplotypes were then defined. Haplotype diversity and the mean pair-wise differences were 0.9903±0.0013 and 5.7785 in HVS-I, and 0.9777±0.0013 and 3.5819 in HVS-II, respectively. By analyzing the hypervariable domain from nucleotide 1,6180 to 1,6193 in HVS-I, we defined some new types of sequence variations. We also compared the relationship between Tu population and other populations using mtDNA HVS-I sequences. According to Rst genetic distances, the phylogenetic tree showed that the Tu population, the Xi'an Han population, the Chinese Korean, and the Mongol ethnic group were in a clade. This indicated a close genetic relationship between them. There were far relations between the Tu population and other Chinese southern Han populations, Siberian, European, African, and other foreign populations. | 8 | 2D/2D atomic double-layer WS_(2)/Nb_(2)O_(5)shell/core nanosheets with ultrafast interfacial charge transfer for boosting photocatalytic H_(2)evolution显示文摘Low-efficiency charge transfer is a critical factor to limit the photocatalytic H_(2)evolution activity of semiconductor photocatalysts.The interface design is a promising approach to achieve high chargetransfer efficiency for photocatalysts.Herein,a new 2 D/2 D atomic double-layer WS_(2)/Nb_(2)O_(5)shell/core photocatalyst(DLWS/Nb_(2)O_(5))is designed.The atom-resolved HAADF-STEM results unravel the presence of an unusual 2 D/2 D shell/core interface in DLWS/Nb_(2)O_(5).Taking advantage of the advanced femtosecond-resolved ultrafast TAS spectra,the average lifetime of charge carriers for DLWS/Nb_(2)O_(5)(180.97 ps)is considerably shortened as compared to that of Nb_(2)O_(5)(230.50 ps),strongly indicating that the 2 D/2 D shell/core interface enables DLWS/Nb_(2)O_(5)to achieve ultrafast charge transfer from Nb_(2)O_(5)to atomic double-layer WS_(2),thus yielding a high photocatalytic H_(2)evolution rate of 237.6 mmol/h,up to10.8 times higher than that of pure Nb_(2)O_(5)nanosheet.This study will open a new window for the development of high-efficient photocatalytic systems through the interface design. | Bo Lin Hao Chen Yao Zhou Xiao Luo Dan Tian Xiaoqing Yan Ruihuan Duan Jun Di Lixing Kang Aimin Zhou Guidong Yang Yonghui Li Jiadong Zhou Zheng Liu Fucai Liu | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,10: | 0 |
| 9 | Uncertainty quantification of predicting stable structures for high-entropy alloys using Bayesian neural networks显示文摘High entropy alloys(HEAs)have excellent application prospects in catalysis because of their rich components and configuration space.In this work,we develop a Bayesian neural network(BNN)based on energies calculated with density functional theory to search the configuration space of the CoNiRhRu HEA system.The BNN model was developed by considering six independent features of Co-Ni,Co-Rh,CoRu,Ni-Rh,Ni-Ru,and Rh-Ru in different shells and energies of structures as the labels.The root mean squared error of the energy predicted by BNN is 1.37 me V/atom.Moreover,the influence of feature periodicity on the energy of HEA in theoretical calculations is discussed.We found that when the neural network is optimized to a certain extent,only using the accuracy indicator of root mean square error to evaluate model performance is no longer accurate in some scenarios.More importantly,we reveal the importance of uncertainty quantification for neural networks to predict new structures of HEAs with proper confidence based on BNN. | Yonghui Zhou Bo Yang | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,6: | 0 |
| 10 | A 220 GHz Frequency-Division Multiplexing Wireless Link with High Data Rate显示文摘With the development of wireless communication,the 6G mobile communication technology has received wide attention.As one of the key technologies of 6G,terahertz(THz)communication technology has the characteristics of ultra-high bandwidth,high security and low environmental noise.In this paper,a THz duplexer with a half-wavelength coupling structure and a sub-harmonic mixer operating at 216 GHz and 204 GHz are designed and measured.Based on these key devices,a 220 GHz frequency-division multiplexing communication system is proposed,with a real-time data rate of 10.4 Gbit/s for one channel and a transmission distance of 15 m.The measured constellation diagram of two receivers is clearly visible,the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is higher than 22 dB,and the bit error ratio(BER)is less than 10^(−8).Furthermore,the high definition(HD)4K video can also be transmitted in real time without stutter. | ZHANG Bo WANG Yihui FENG Yinian YANG Yonghui PENG Lin | 2023 | ZTE Communications2023,21,3: | 0 |
