1Identification of the novel recessive gene pi55(t) conferring resistance to Magnaporthe oryzae显示文摘The elite rice cultivar Yuejingsimiao 2 (YJ2) is characterized by a high level of grain quality and yield, and resistance against Magnaporthe oryzae. YJ2 showed 100% resistance to four fungal populations collected from Guangdong, Sichuan, Liaoning, and Heilongjiang Provinces, which is a higher frequency than that shown by the well-known resistance (R) gene donor cultivars such as Sanhuangzhan 2 and 28zhan. Segregation analysis for resistance with F 2 and F 4 populations indicated the resistance of YJ2 was controlled by multiple genes that are dominant or recessive. The putative R genes of YJ2 were roughly tagged by SSR markers, located on chromosomes 2, 6, 8, and 12, in a bulked-segregant analysis using genome-wide selected SSR markers with F 4 lines that segregated into 3 resistant (R):1 susceptible (S) or 1R:3S. The recessive R gene on chromosome 8 was further mapped to an interval 1.9 cM/152 kb in length by linkage analysis with genomic position-ready markers in the mapping population derived from an F 4 line that segregated into 1R:3S. Given that no major R gene was mapped to this interval, the novel R gene was designated as pi55(t). 2Progress and Prospects of Salt Lake Research in China显示文摘China has unique salt lake resources, and they are distributed in the east of Eurasian salt lake subzone of the Northern Hemisphere Salt Lake Zone, mainly concentrated in the regions with modern mean annual precipitation lower than 500 mm. This paper preliminarily reviews the progress made in salt lake research in China for the past 60 years. In the research of Paleoclimate and paleoenvironment from salt lake sediments, a series of salts have been proposed to be indicators of paleoclimate, and have been well accepted by scholars. The chloride-sulfate depositional regions of the west Qaidam and the east Tarim have been revealed to be the drought center of China since the Quaternary, and more than 6 spreading stages of arid climate(salt forming) have been identified. Five pan-lake periods with highstands have been proved to exist during the late Quaternary on the Tibetan Plateau. In mineral resource prospecting and theories of the forming of salt deposits: the atlas(1:2500000) of hydrochemical zoning of salt lakes on the Tibetan Plateau has been compiled for the first time, revealing the zonal distribution and transition from carbonate type to chloride type from south to north and presenting corresponding mineral assemblages for different type of salt lakes; several large continental salt deposits have been discovered and the theory of continental potash deposition has been developed, including the salt deposition in deep basins surrounded by high mountains, the mineral deposition from multistage evolution through chains of moderate or shallow lakes with multilevels, the origin of potassium rich brines in gravel layers, and the forming of potassium deposits through the inheriting from ancient salt deposits, thus establishing the framework of 'Continental Potash Deposition Theory'; several new types of Mg-borate deposits have been discovered, including the ulexite and pinnoite bed in Da Qaidam Lake, Qinghai, the pinnoite and kurnakovite bed in Chagcam Caka, Tibet, the kurnakovite bed in Lake Nyer, and the corresponding model of borate deposition from the cooling and dissolution of boron rich brines was proposed based on principles of geology, physics and chemistry. The anti-floatation-cold crystallization method developed independently has improved the capacity of KCl production to 3 million tons per year for the Qarham, serving the famous brand of potash fertilizer products. One 1.2 million ton K-sulfate production line, the biggest in the world, has been built in Lop Nor, and K-sulfate of about 1.6 million tons was produced in 2015. Supported by the new technology, i.e. brine preparation in winter-cooling-solarization-isolation-lithium deposition from salt gradient solar pond' the highest lithium production base at Zabuye Lake(4421 m), Tibet, has been established, which is the first lithium production base in China that reaches the year production of 5000 tons of lithium carbonate. The concept of Salt lake agriculture(Salt land agriculture) has been established based on the mass growth of Dunaliella and other bacillus-algae and the occurrence of various halophytes in saltmarsh and salt saline-alkali lands, finding a new way to increase arable lands and develop related green industry in salt rich environments. 3A general strategy for bimetallic Pt-based nano-branched structures as highly active and stable oxygen reduction and methanol oxidation bifunctional catalysts显示文摘The morphology and size of Pt-based bimetallic alloys are known to determine their electrocatalytic performance in reactions relevant to fuel cells.Here,we report a general approach for preparing Pt-M(M=Fe,Co and Ni)bimetallic nano-branched structure(NBs)by a simple high temperature solution-phase synthesis.As-prepared Pt-M NBs show a polycrystalline structure and are rich in steps and kinks on the surface,which promote them favorable bifunctional catalytic properties in acidic electrolytes,specifically in terms of the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).Specially,Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst shows 6.1 and 5.3 times higher in specific activity(SA)and mass activity(MA)for ORR than state-of-the-art commercial Pt/C catalysts,respectively.Moreover,it exhibits a loss of 4.0%in SA and 14.4%in MA after 10,000 cycles of accelerated durability tests(ADTs)compared with the initial activities.In addition,we also confirmed the superior MOR activity of Pt-Co NBs/C catalyst in acidic electrolytes.For Pt-M NBs with other alloying metals,the ORR and MOR activities are both higher than commercial catalysts and are in the sequence of Pt-Co/C>Pt-Fe/C>Pt-Ni/C>commercial Pt/C(or PtRu/C).The improved activities and durability can benefit from the morphological and compositional effects.This synthesis approach may be applied to develop bifunctional catalysts with enhanced ORR and MOR properties for future fuel cells designs.Wenjuan Lei Menggang Li Lin He Xun Meng Zijie Mu Yongsheng Yu Frances MRoss Weiwei Yang 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:5
4Design and Optimization of a Single Stage Centrifugal Compressor for a Solar Dish-Brayton System显示文摘According to the requirements of a solar dish-Brayton system,a centrifugal compressor stage with a minimum total pressure ratio of 5,an adiabatic efficiency above 75% and a surge margin more than 12% needs to be designed.A single stage,which consists of impeller,radial vaned diffuser,90° crossover and two rows of axial stators,was chosen to satisfy this system.To achieve the stage performance,an impeller with a 6:1 total pressure ratio and an adiabatic efficiency of 90% was designed and its preliminary geometry came from an in-house one-dimensional program.Radial vaned diffuser was applied downstream of the impeller.Two rows of axial stators after 90° crossover were added to guide the flow into axial direction.Since jet-wake flow,shockwave and boundary layer separation coexisted in the impeller-diffuser region,optimization on the radius ratio of radial diffuser vane inlet to impeller exit,diffuser vane inlet blade angle and number of diffuser vanes was carried out at design point.Finally,an optimized centrifugal compressor stage fulfilled the high expectations and presented proper performance.Numerical simulation showed that at design point the stage adiabatic efficiency was 79.93% and the total pressure ratio was 5.6.The surge margin was 15%.The performance map including 80%,90% and 100% design speed was also presented.Yongsheng Wang Kai Wang Zhiting Tong Feng Lin Chaoqun Nie Abraham Engeda 2013Journal of Thermal Science2013,22,5:5
5Light doping of tungsten into copper-platinum nanoalloys for boosting their electrocatalytic performance in methanol oxidation显示文摘Coupling the bi-functional mechanism with compressive lattice strain might be an effective way to boost the electrocatalysis of platinum(Pt)-based nanoparticles for methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).This strategy weakens the chemisorption of poisoning CO-like intermediates generated during MOR on the active Pt sites by lowering their d-band center.In this context,we herein report the synthesis of ternary copper-tungsten-platinum(CuWPt)nanoalloys with light doping of W element by simply co-reducing their precursors at elevated temperature.In this ternary alloy system,the presence of only small amount of W element not only weakens the chemisorption of CO-like intermediates by lowering the Pt d-band center through compressive lattice strain,but also cleans the active Pt sites by“hydrogen spillover effect”,endowing the as-prepared CuWPt nanoalloys at an appropriate Cu/W/Pt ratio with good activity for MOR.In specific,the ternary CuWPt alloy nanoparticles at a Cu/W/Pt molar ratio of 21/4/75 show a specific activity of 2.5 mA·cm^(−2)and a mass activity of 2.11 A·mg^(−1)with a better durability,outperforming those ternary CuWPt alloy nanoparticles at other Cu/W/Pt ratios,binary CuPt alloys and commercial Pt/C catalyst as well as a large number of reported Pt-based electrocatalysts.In addition,a single direct methanol fuel cell(DMFC)assembled using ternary CuWPt nanoalloys as anodic catalysts shows a power density of 24.3 mW·cm^(−2)and an open-circle voltage of 0.6 V,also much higher than those of the single DMFC assembled from commercial Pt/C catalysts.Danye Liu Qing Zeng Chaoquan Hu Dong Chen Hui Liu Yongsheng Han Lin Xu Qingbo Zhang Jun Yang 2022Nano Research Energy2022,1,2:4
6Telomere-to-telomere and gap-free reference genome assembly of the kiwifruit Actinidia chinensis显示文摘Kiwifruit is an economically and nutritionally important fruit crop with extremely high contents of vitamin C.However,the previously released versions of kiwifruit genomes all have a mass of unanchored or missing regions.Here,we report a highly continuous and completely gap-free reference genome of Actinidia chinensis cv.‘Hongyang’,named Hongyang v4.0,which is the first to achieve two de novo haploid-resolved haplotypes,HY4P and HY4A.HY4P and HY4A have a total length of 606.1 and 599.6 Mb,respectively,with almost the entire telomeres and centromeres assembled in each haplotype.In comparison with Hongyang v3.0,the integrity and contiguity of Hongyang v4.0 is markedly improved by filling all unclosed gaps and correcting some misoriented regions,resulting in∼38.6–39.5 Mb extra sequences,which might affect 4263 and 4244 protein-coding genes in HY4P and HY4A,respectively.Furthermore,our gap-free genome assembly provides the first clue for inspecting the structure and function of centromeres.Globally,centromeric regions are characterized by higher-order repeats that mainly consist of a 153-bp conserved centromere-specific monomer(Ach-CEN153)with different copy numbers among chromosomes.Functional enrichment analysis of the genes located within centromeric regions demonstrates that chromosome centromeres may not only play physical roles for linking a pair of sister chromatids,but also have genetic features for participation in the regulation of cell division.The availability of the telomere-to-telomere and gap-free Hongyang v4.0 reference genome lays a solid foundation not only for illustrating genome structure and functional genomics studies but also for facilitating kiwifruit breeding and improvement.Junyang Yue Qinyao Chen Yingzhen Wang Lei Zhang Chen Ye Xu Wang Shuo Cao Yunzhi Lin Wei Huang He Xian Hongyan Qin Yanli Wang Sijia Zhang Ying Wu Songhu Wang Yi Yue Yongsheng Liu 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,2:4

8Review of High-Precision Sr Isotope Analyses of Low-Sr Geological Samples显示文摘Isotope plays an important role in both tracing and dating in earth science, especially 87Rb-86 Sr system. With the development of earth science, whole-rock analysis can't sufficiently meet the requirements for scientific research and the micro-analysis becomes more and more significant. Laser ablation multi-collector inductively-coupled plasma mass-spectrometry(LA-MC-ICP-MS) has been extensively applied in micro-zone analysis due to its low sample-consumption, high accuracy, in situ and low requirements on matrix, but it is still difficult to accurately measure Sr isotope compositions especially for the samples with high Rb/Sr ratios and low Sr contents as it is restricted by severe quality discrimination and various types of mass spectrum interferences. Consequently, thermal ionization mass-spectrometry(TIMS), as the most accurate and precise method to analyze isotopic ratios, is still the most popular method of analyzing Sr ratios, especially for the samples with low Sr contents. This paper makes a systematic review on the high-precision Sr isotope analyses of low-Sr geological samples, including the micro-sampling technique, ultra-low procedural blank chemical method and TIMS measurement technique. 9Performance analysis and improvement of a high flow coefficient centrifugal compressor显示文摘Very high flow coefficient centrifugal compressor stages are mostly applied as the first stages of multistage compressors.The performance of this type of stages is critical to the entire centrifugal compressors,but surprisingly little related information is available in the open literature.A centrifugal compressor with high inlet flow coefficient of 0.2,presenting a narrow operating range and unstable running situation even at design speed during the test,is investigated here.To reveal flow details in this centrifugal compressor,numerical simulations have been carried out and indicate that excessive impeller flow diffusion results in the poor performance of this centrifugal compressor.With the same inlet flow coefficient,six redesign cases coming from an in-house one-dimensional analysis program are proposed together with impeller trimming and equal flow area design method for corresponding vaneless diffuser.Performance comparison among these redesign centrifugal compressors is presented and the most suitable one is recommended for test in the future.In addition,three redesign cases with lower inlet flow coefficient developed by means of flow trimming are shown in the end to satisfy potential application areas.Finally,the results in this study can provide valuable reference information for multistage centrifugal compressor design.WANG YongSheng WANG Kai LIN Feng NIE ChaoQun ENGEDA Abraham 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,8:3

11Optimal design for split-and-recombine-type flow distributors of microreactors based on blockage detection显示文摘In order to increase the productivity of microreactors, the parallelization of the microreactors is required. The performances of flow distributors can affect the product yield and fault detection ability when blockage happens.In this research, an optimal design method to calculate the channel diameters and to determine the flow sensor location is derived based on mass balance and pressure balance models of split-and-recombine-type flow distributors(SRFDs). The model accuracy is verified by experiment data. The proposed method is applied to optimal design of SRFDs under constant flow rate operation conditions. The maximum angle difference between normal and blockage conditions at one sensor to those at the other sensors is set to be the objective function and the uniformity of flow distribution in microreactors under normal condition is also required. The diameters of each pipe in SRFDs are selected as the design variables. Simulated annealing algorithm is used to solve the optimization problem. The effectiveness of the optimal design results is demonstrated by fluid dynamics simulations. The results show that using the optimal channel diameters of SRFDs, the pressure drop in SRFD section is lower than that of the microreactor section. 12Improved in-situ Determination of Sr Isotope Ratio in Silicate Samples Using LA-MC-ICP-MS and Its Wider Application for Fused Rock Powder显示文摘The in-situ Sr isotope determination of solid samples has the advantages of high spatial resolution and convenient and rapid sample preparation.However,due to the lack of column chemistry separation of matrix elements from Sr,the interference correction(especially the isobaric interference from 87Rb on 87Sr)becomes a big issue for high precise in-situ Sr isotope analytical results.In this study,we evaluated the influence of isobaric interference systematically and adopted an improved strategy for isobaric interference correction of Rb.Specifically,as an external standard for data calibration,an in-house silicate standard(Rb-std)was fused from pure oxide powders.The new standard(Rb-std)shows very low contents of Sr(<1 ppm),Yb(<0.09 ppm)and Er(<0.05 ppm),which directly avoid the trouble of interference of doubly charged ions and isobar,when we determinate the mass fractionation factors of Rb(βRb).Our improved method can provide more accurate data than previous researches,in which the mass fractionation were calculated from an external reference material StHs6/80-G with high Rb(30.07 ppm),Sr(482 ppm),Yb(1.13 ppm)and Er(1.18 ppm).Then,these βRb from Rb-std were applied by linear interpolation to the unknown samples for correction of 87Rb on 87Sr.The analytical results of serial international reference materials(BIR-1G,BCR-2G,BHVO-2G,T1-G and ATHO-G)demonstrate that our improved method can raise the upper limit of Rb/Sr for in-situ Sr isotope determination and reduce the relative standard deviation of results.This improvement of the upper limit of Rb/Sr(<0.33)will expand not only range of microanalysis for silicate minerals,but also bulk Sr isotope determination of volcanic rock combining with rapid fusion technique.Lüyun Zhu Ganglan Zhang Yongsheng Liu Jie Lin Xirun Tong Shao-Yong Jiang 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,2:2
